Candies. Candies were awesome. Whoever had invented candies should be given a medal as well as the Nobel price of science. Nay! PEACE! No one was angry when they were eating candies. Candies would save the world! And make dentist richer… ah. Maybe he should become a dentist when he was older. That was a good job that would bring him enough money to be independent! Yup, he should really consider that later on. Of course, he also wanted to be a lawyer like his mother and a politician like his father and a professional chef like his uncle and there just were too many choices in life! He’ll consider it later. For now, he had more important business to attend too. Candy business. He unwrapped some more and shoved them into his mouth. His parents would deal with his sugar rush later on.

”Sitting? Yeah, sure. Sitting’s good. Sitting’s fine. Let’s sit.”, he said as he dropped down on the patch of grass just like Benji had done mere moments before him. Truth to be told, Wilhelm didn’t do well sitting. As expected of the hyper active child, he was always fidgeting around, moving, changing sitting position and everything, but he could do that for Benji. If it gave him one more friend, he would do anything. Except maybe murdering another one of his friends. That would be counterproductive, now, wouldn’t it? ”Ah! Good! Good House is good!”, he exclaimed before putting more candies in his mouth. Damn, was it good. What was Benji saying? Oh, right. House. Uh, Two bedroom? That was a good size! If they were just two. As long as they both had their own room to sleep it, Wilhelm didn’t see how it could be any problem. Sharing a kitchen, living room, dining room, two bathrooms and solarium never bothered him, so why should it bother Benji? ”It’s a good size! Ours is more like 4 rooms, but, ya know, parents and sister. It’s them over there.” He pointed in a general direction behind him that didn’t really showed where the rest of his family really was. Wilhelm wasn’t the kind to pay attention to details like that.

”Bonfire? You mean like having a sleepover and a party and having fun out and stuff? I’m so in! Hey, Peter, you’re coming too! Peter?” He looked at his right to tell his friend that he soooo had to go and it would be awesome magical sparkling rainbows, but Peter wasn’t there. ” Damn, that kid’s slow sometimes. So, Party! Yes!” While he wouldn’t admit it to Benji, that would actually be his first real party! Little sleepovers and kid parties didn’t count. Oh, he was getting so excited about it! ”You should invited Peter! And I guess Erika too.. Oh! Oh! And John! You met John! John’s awesome! You’re inviting John! And while inviting him too, you should get his brother, Quentin, he’s nice! A real Jerk, but a nice Jerk! Oh, and Quentin hangs with Ed and Morgan so them too! And while you’re at it there’s those two news guy at school too. Oh, man, that’s a lot of guys, but there’s not a lot of girl, unless you want to invite my sister, but she sucks, so don’t and the only other girl I can think of is Lilia, but she’s too young and she’s a brat so never mind her oh and maybe you could…” He suddenly stopped in his spiel when he realized that, perhaps, maybe, Benji didn’t realy want a large party. He had been getting carried away hasn’t he? ”Unless you just wanted a small gathering… Or just me. Was it a private invitation?” In fact, a private invitation sounded nice too! He’d get to know him and his brother more that way, but parties were nice too! Wilhelm really wasn’t hard to please.

Orchid was planning all the various revenge scenarios in her head. They were going from simply smacking her sister behind the head to making everyone at the field currently die in a horrible landslide, all while passing by the usual tricks that she loved to pull like making someone’s hair become pink or making a pineapple appear where it shouldn’t. She was quite the resourceful fairy, that one~ But then, in the middle of her planning, a very common and very annoying voice made itself heard. She didn’t really care much for Ilex usually, but it still annoyed her to no ends when he jumped her like that and have hands going everywhere that she did not want them to go. ”ILEX! Get-get you’re hands off me! Shoo! Go! AWAY!” After kicking and flailing for a couple of seconds to push her brother away, she patted her so precious and lovely clothing, moving any dirt that Ilex could have put on them. He did spend all of his time in a dirty mine after all.

”I’m spying, that’s what I’m doing! Look! Look! LOOK! LOOOOOK! OVER THERE! ALL THE WAY THEEEEEEEEEERE. You see him?” She pointed in the direction of the guy she had so wanted to have. She really didn’t understand how come Chrysanthemum had gotten him! He was nothing like wood at all! No-thi-ing. She was happy that Ilex regognize him! He could probably help her into getting her revenge on him! Oh yes, they would teach him for being more wood than earth! Silly boy! But then, Ilex had to keep talking, and talking and talking. And not good talking at that either! In fact, it was very annoying talking! Talking that shouldn’t be talked! Especially not in front of Orchid who eyes were slowly becoming smaller and twitching after every word that the metal fairy was saying. ”You’re really not helping, you know?”, she said to him between her teeth. She had a sudden urge to show a (fairy size) pineapple up Ilex’s a** to teach him to shut up once in a while. Stupid little horny male fairy.

Usagi had only just arrived as she realized that she was being approached by a woman dressed in a nun outfit, holding a gun. (Holly) "No need to bow," she told the woman in her super hero voice, "But yeah, sure I'll help you," she replied normally. She quickly realized that her reply wasn't very Wonder Woman-like, but she made up for it by placing her hands on her hips and standing in Wonder Woman pose. Standing like Wonder Woman was always a great way to boost confidence, she'd have to remember to stand like that more often. Then again, it probably wouldn't be appropriate to stand like that all the time...

------------------------------------

Mitsukai found herself alone once the nun had approached her sister. However, her loneliness didn't last long as she found someone, Ed, to be approaching her. As soon as she heard the boy's bluntness she immediately wished she had been left alone instead. It took her a moment to register whether or not the boy had actually just said that or not. "No way! I had no idea," she replied sarcastically. This boy didn't seemed pretty boring and Mitsukai couldn't help but wonder why he was even at this festival in the first place. "It's just a costume, you shouldn't take it so seriously," she told him.

"You don't seem like much fun," she stated. Of course fun wasn't all that there was to life, but according to Mitsukai the majority of it should at least be somewhat fun, especially at their age! Being boring was supposed to come much later in life, perhaps she could teach this boy a thing or two. He was about her age so he hopefully still had some time to become fun and make the best of his young adult years. Teaching someone to be fun couldn't be too hard, right?

Sothen resisted the urge to just walk away; he wasn't sure what he had expected. He should have assumed someone all alone by the food would be just as reclusive as he tended to be. Or perhaps he was just a little too strange. Or new, maybe it was his newness. At least she replied, right? "I'm...Sothen. New farmer around here." He said, offering a bit more, or attempting at some conversation, no matter how contrived it may seem. He didn't really sound too contrived...or did he? Maybe there was a book somewhere he could read on normal social situations. He couldn't be alone in this, but he wasn't shy. No definitely not shy...just reluctant perhaps. Watching others tended to be a little more entertaining rather than being in the spotlight himself. "And you?" Sothen added gruffly after a slight, hesitant pause, unsure whether it would be rude to ask for her name, or rude not to ask. There were almost too many options floating around in his head, and the easiest option was to say nothing, but he would try. If only one person. He would get other opportunities maybe, but then again...If left to his own devices, he might only talk to his employers and Priscilla. He could only hope this woman wasn't the mayor of this town, or she might have second thoughts of allowing him to stay here.

Glad the man, now dubbed Ian, decided to strike up the conversation. It didn't seem whoever he was talking to wasn't too interested anyways. However, there was something about him she couldn't quite put her finger on. Tapping her chin absentmindedly, Priscilla figured she would keep her mind on the task of figuring it out while their little chat carried on. Her fingers ceasing to tap, a smirk appeared once more. "Why, don't you know rudeness is the only way to get to know someone? ...Well, their true nature anyways." She told him before continuing to introduce herself, "Priscilla Viniva, mechanic." Tapping the welding goggles that hung loosely around her neck, she had changed her mind about not revealing the nature of her job, as it might give some preconceived notions about her perhaps, but hearing he was a vet, in a town such as this one, it might do her name well. Besides, he mentioned changing just being a vet...What could that possibly mean? It was obvious Ian had little or no care as to what she thought on his shop title, even if Priscilla did think there could be a better option. Around here, she would think his main customers would be farmers with their cattle or chickens or whatever lurked around here. Animals definitely were not her 'thing'. Especially sheep. How people liked those things were beyond her. No wool clothing for her, ever. The only way to find out would be to ask... "What do you mean, 'changing that soon'? Is business around here a little...lacking?"

-Eleanor LeBlanc, Rune LeBlanc, Blaire Page, Brooke Page, Julian Parker, & Miah Bernadetto-

"Yoakim it really isn't that-" An exasperated breath came from Rune as her step-father carried on with the same speech ever since she stepped out of her closet. The LeBlanc family was out and about, hoping to enjoy the festival. It should've been something for them to bond... instead the same was happening. "So what? It's fine and-" retaliated Rune, until Wilhelm spoke up. The girl's face fell for a moment as she glared at her brother for saying such a thing. Ray and her were just friends! That would never happen! And she was just about to say that before Yoakim was being Yoakim and actually believed the little brat. So instead, Rune met her father figure's eyes and placed a hand to her hip. "Oh fine you caught me. That's exactly what I was going to do!" snapped the girl. Oh she tried to make a statement, but evidently she couldn't. An instantly regretful look came to her face as that hand moved to cover her mouth and she shook her head. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean it. I'm not going to do it. I swear! I..." and that's when her voice halted and she basically darted away from her parents' sight... with Duke in tow. She probably would've let her sorrows go to the dog, but fortunately she spotted Ray nearby... dressed like Frankenstein. Oh karma hated her at times. Well not to dwell on that, she was here to have fun. "Ray! Another year of fairy hunting? We have Duke this year." Sure... a reindeer would find a fairy.

"..." Why couldn't they go out for once without something like this happening? Eleanor simply watched her daughter go off, talking to the dog, most likely complaining about something, before looking up at her husband. Hey her panic didn't last more than a micro-second before Rune's little outburst. That was normal, and Wilhelm was just kidding, like he had said. Yoakim just took things to seriously. "You need to stop worrying so much" said the woman before moving closer to her husband. Hm, one thing she couldn't figure out was why it was so troubling to reach out for his hand. It wasn't that he was Frankenstein or anything. They were fine right? Well that's what they still had to portray. "Just let them have fun. Look Wilhelm's off with his friends. And Rune's..." With Ray. "Well just don't worry."

Indeed, the Page family was early this year. Blaire came in with her husband and girls. By this point, Erika was thought as such, even if at times she proved difficult. "Perfect~ I thought we lost enough time looking for this" said the ringmaster costumed woman as she moved a hand to Reed's rubber nose and squeeze it. Really, that darn thing had decided to go missing right when they were about to leave... How it ended in the cookie jar, they still hadn't figured out. Maybe the fairies made an early visit... or something. Well that wasn't too important, what was important was being here, hand in hand with her husband and their two girls...

Speaking of which Brooke had been pretty excited about her costume ever since she gotten it. So much, that she was even playing nice with Erika. Well, not for long. A certain blond girl decided to tug at her hair every so often and Brooke was quickly getting annoyed by it. She'd been good so far, mostly because her father was next to her. A small "oof" came from her when Erika suddenly embraced her, and Brooke saw her chance right there. The initial narrow eyes left for a fake smile, one that Erika knew well. "But yours is so cute too~" and with that Brooke placed both her hands on the nearest skin she could find, which where arms, and pinched hard, and swift, keeping that smile on her face. Two could play that game. Especially these two.

Of course Yoakim knew that his son was kidding. There was no way that he could have been serious saying something like that, but still, there was a difference between thinking that a situation could happen between his daughter, yes, his daughter, ******** Kip, and having someone else saying it outloud, reminding him of the possibility of it happening! And even if Wilhelm hadn’t been serious about it, just the idea that him, a teenage boy was thinking of stuff like that, just futhered his belives that it could be what Rune, a teenage girl (so what if she was done with highschool? She wasn’t twenty yet!) could be thinking! Or Worst, what Ray could be thinking! Even though Yoakim was pretty sure that Ray lacked any form or shape of balls, he still was pretty sure that the boy had a p***s and he knew how young men with penises thoughts! He had been there himself in the past, after all! Oh, this all really wasn’t helping him! Nope, not at all.

”I… I know Ellie… I do. But.. But. Just look at her! How can you be okay with that!” He pointed toward Rune that was running away in her little skanky racoon costume. The skirt was too short! Sleeves were too high! The neck was too deep! It just screamed SEX SEX SEX. It was like a giant beacon of procreation! He didn’t like that in the slightest. ”Can’t she dress up for the festival without looking like… you know. I miss the time when people would dress as monsters. It was much more fun.” And less nerve wracking. He really didn’t understand that need that girl had on costume festival to slutty themselves up. It lacked class and good taste. ”I’d just like her to get married before becoming pregnant… or at least finish college. That would be nice.” If someone knew how hard it was to go through college with a daughter, it should have been Ellie! Surely she didn’t want her own daughter to go through what she had been through herself.

The man let out a very loud sigh, admitting defeat. He knew that there was no way he could win in that situation. At least Wilhelm always seemed more interested into playing with boys rather that knocking up some girl. He hopped that it would stay like that for a while longer. He wasn’t sure how he would survive if one day he’d wake up to fine Rune and Wilhelm girlfriend (please let it be a girlfriend and not just some one night stand) pregnant at the same time. His heart would probably give out then, and he had a pretty damn good heart. Not that Wilhelm would ever get a girlfriend, but eh, Yoakim was still oblivious to that. Wilhelm was just very friendly with guys, didn’t like girls and enjoyed watching America Next Top Model. There wasn’t anything wrong there at all. Sure, he spent HOURS in front of the mirror getting his hair rights, but he had just blamed that behaviour on Kade having spent a bit to long moment with him one day or something. Kade could have that sort of effect on people.

Unlike his wife, Yoakim didn’t have any trouble putting his hand around her. Sure, there was no love in that touch and it felt more like a habit and something he had to do, at worst, using Ellie as an armrest, but he still did it when she moved slightly closer to him. They were still in apparences and both kept lying to themselves about everything being okay. His grip, however, became much more tense once he spotted a familiar figure in the crowed. He could have at least bottered to dress up a bit, that way maybe Yoakim wouldn’t have noticed him so easily. ”Kip’s here.” , he told his wife, obvious disdain in his voice.

++++++++++

The moment Rune ran away from her family group, the old golden Sheppard dashed after her. It was a race! A race! He loved races! Why were races fun? Because he had to run! Running was fun! Why was running fun? Because it was a race! Ah, yes, the life of a dog could be so simple sometimes. Too bad that he couldn’t keep racing for long periods of times like her when he was MUCH more younger sexier 7 years old. Still, he did pound himself from having the best tail of all the dogs in the neighbourhood! A tail that he waves around with pride! At least it didn’t hurt his hips unlike running… When Rune stopped running, he immediately spotted a familiar scent! It was Ray! He liked Ray! He was like a giant pillow! Standing on both of his back legs, he placed his two front paws on the boy’s shoulder and started to lick his face vigorously! He still tasted as good as usual, if only a bit more green.

++++++++++

Eva decided to pay a little more attention to the man once that one decided to keep talking to her. She swallowed her second dumpling on the skewered and actually bothered to take a good look at the man and not just move her gaze away once he was done talking like she had done previously. He was a farmer? A farmer…dressed as a mechanic? Or maybe he just hadn’t bothered to change and that was the way he usually dressed. She didn’t really care as the reason why; it all showed that the man was either lazy or just too busy to dress up. ”I’m Eva. Eva Baumgartner”, she introduced herself to him. She wasn’t sure what she would have to talk about with a simple farmer, but at least she knew that she wouldn’t want to shoot herself in the air like she so often did after a conversation with the Tepes twins. ”I work at the local clinic, double job as psychiatrist and therapist. If you ever feel like you’re becoming crazy, I’m the one you’ll come to see.” She explained to him. It wasn’t often that one would do both of those roles, but on a small island like Nirvani, those were what they had to do to fill those needs. They didn’t even had a proper dentist yet! Well, Mao had just extended the clinic to have room and proper equipment for it, so it was normal that they didn’t have anyone to fill the job yet. At least she was happy that the Chinese man hadn’t wanted to be the dentist himself. ”What brought you here, if you don’t mind me asking.”

"It was a bit troubling..." Reed responded with a small chuckle. He had figured it was just a prank by one of the girls. Well, mostly Erika, but this was the time of year for mischief after all. So of course, the man would write it off as just that and move on. He looked around the grounds, he had promised to meet Alastair here... But, couldn't seem to find him. Though his eyes did end up finding another part of the family. His eyes then came back to his two girls who were obviously in one of their little quarrels. He never did understand why kids thought they could do stuff without their parents noticing. However, that was beside the point. Letting the two girls enjoy there little moment, Reed took his wife by her hand and pointed to the direction of his brother-in-law, Yoakim, and sister-in-law, Ellie, which, he dragged Blaire in the direction of. The girls could watch themselves for now, plus, he wasn't to far away. "You look a bit stressed Yoakim," The man spoke as he approached the two with a smile, "The festival a bit to much for the town representative?" Though he could probably guess the reason for the stress. His eyes did catch a glimpse of Rune after all. As a fellow father of a young girl, Reed completely understood what Yoakim was feeling.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With Reed and Blaire gone, Erika had no qualms with letting her sister out of the hug and promptly smacking Brooke in the back of the head. "That hurt!" She exclaimed rubbing where she had been pinched. Really! Brooke was such a pain! The blonde stuck her tongue out at the girl just to finishing things off. But, seeing how their parents had up and left them, the tiny vampiress couldn't just walk off in a huff. The demon had to come with her. Erika would have made a scene out of it, however her peripherals caught hold of something far more worth it. "Come with me," She said in a hurry as she grabbed her sister and scurried over to the Harris family. "Skyla~" With an excited yell of a certain blonde girls name, Erika came up and wrapped the little cloud in her arms and kissed her on her cheek affectionately. Erika than looked over to the rest of her extended family with a big smile. "Hiya Peter~" She said then looked to the other two, "And hi Alt, Kotone~" She did a little wave to them all, though made sure to keep Skyla perfectly snuggled up to herself.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ray was very well ready to make contact with any fairy that decided to reveal themselves this year. Of course he wasn't going to do anything potentially harmful to them. Just a couple pictures, a lock of hair, some skin samples. You know, proof of their existence. That's why as he stood alone he was on intense look out for any abnormalities... Unfortunately his fierce concentration was broken with a few distractions. Ray looked over to his friend as he heard his name was heard but immediately looked away. And luckily, before his face could give away any of his nervousness, Duke had created another distraction. "Hello Rune, Duke," He spoke as he propped the dog up and patted his head. And after a second he let the retriever down and looked back at Rune. Though, he looked away almost instantly and sat down on his knees to pet Duke some more. "Your dressed for the wrong holiday..." He addressed the dog as he played with its ears. And without looking back up at his friend he made his next comment, "You seem to have dressed up rather... Nicely ..." Luckily he was painted green or else he would have been colored red. Ray would never even think about Rune in any other way then... Well a sister kind of. But, with that get up on... Well she was indeed a woman after all.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Avian stood kind of like a stature, advertising the bucket he had brought. He had already had plenty of NPC children come and go. And even two older boys who came by. Of course he waved to Wilhelm and Benji accordingly as they took their pieces, even gave them a, "Don't eat too much~" He really did enjoy this festival. Well, he enjoyed all festivals, but this one was more fun than them. Why? Because it was one where people could act like children if they wanted to. And more importantly, children can play to their hearts content, dressed up as their favorite fantasies. What an amazing festival! Avian would have dressed up in his hero costume, though he knew Finnian would be against it. It would be a problem if someone found out his secret identity after all! So instead, the man was in his classic pumpkin costume. Which seemed to attract an admirer... Or a damsel in distress. When he felt the thud on his costume he looked down to see a tiny little girl, Vi, crying into his suit. He frowned and patted the child on the head. "What's wrong little one?" He said in an obviously dishearten tone, "Are you lost?"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Back with the Harris's, Alt shook his head at his wife's question. Reed wasn't anywhere in sight. Though... Somehow his children had found them. The blonde man wasn't surprised by Erika's energetic entrance. She was usually like this as of late. He really couldn't understand how she was the same little cloud that would hide behind her father everywhere she went. Yet, his blonde... Cousin? Niece? Whatever she was, was the furthest thing from his mind. The kids could play if they wanted to. Alastair squeezed Kotone's hand in an attention grabbing way, "Lets look around." He had issues when he asked the woman questions. He go to response was usually no. She might want to have gotten away of the stickiness that was their daughter, though. He had heard her rants about children before. So with a tug of her arm he took her away to walk around the grounds of the festival. And making sure not to aggravate her with another one of his silent streaks that she usually got upset with, he made sure to get a conversation going. "Have you been okay?" An awkward question from an awkward man. He had been away from home for awhile like always, and this was his way of checking in and making sure she and the kids were alright.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From the moment little Skyla was being baby talked by her brother to when she was scooped up by her cousin, her expression stayed the same. It always stayed the same. Even when Erika gave her a big smooch on her cheek. She enjoyed the attention, but eventually did squirm out of the teen's hold. The reason was obvious of course. She loved Erika and Peter, but they were a bit scary, being bigger than her. However, he cousin Brooke was so easy to hold onto! Which is why the small child hurried over to her cousin and hugged onto Brooke's arm. Of course letting out a tiny squeak in the sound of, "Brooke..."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Normally Icis prided herself in being courteous and well-mannered, but right now she was having trouble keeping up her lady like facade. Her face of course curled into a frown as she saw the little girl look so terrified. Yet, it was just an act to make it seem like she was a bit concerned. In her head, the fact that this girl was so fricking adorable was way more important. So timid, just like the animal she was pretending to be. The brunette couldn't control herself but to get involved, ignoring the children she was just playing with. She bent down and leaned onto her knees so she could come into eye level with the little girl. She put out her hand and pulled the child's hair out a bit as if she was grooming it. "Don't be scared," Her voice took an unusually soft and motherly tone, and then she pulled the girl gently off her mother's dress and gave her a warm smile. "I'm not scary~" She said touching her finger to the girls nose and giggling a bit. What a precious little thing! Ah~ This girl is probably just a big a find as Miah was... Though she was still a bit young... However! Age had nothing to do with cuteness, and this girl was cute.

Another year, another season. And with every new season that came around was plenty of festivals. Although the family had been attending for a long time to a variety of festivals they hadn't done anything that was terribly exciting - until this year apparently. Brody had hopped around the house all afternoon in excitement, he got to dress up as his all time favorite hero - Daddy! Most likely driving his mother and father insane with constant questions, both had to smile as he happily held their hands as they made their way through the town to make it to the field. If you knew anyone in the family it wasn't a terrible surprise to see that they had reached out to their country roots and gone cowboy for this particular festival. Tate had pulled out some old tshirts for Brody to have picked from and although he wasn't dressed like you're stereotypical cowboy, he was most definitely reaching out for his country roots. Brody had long ago ditched his pint sized Stetson but was currently freaking out, wanting to show it off to Lily. "But Dad we have to go back! I can't find it in you're car and Mommy doesn't have it either! We haaaaaaaave to go back!" With a shake of his head Tate just bent down and scooped up the pint sized boy. "Now bud I tol' you that you needed to make sure you had everythin' you needed 'afore we left. I know you're Momma's not gonna' wanna' go back and get it from the house. You'll be alright without it." Although he had picked up the boy, Tate had Amanda's hand in his, walking together happily through the field towards the food. With a smile Amanda regarded her son, "Honey you know your father's right. I'm sure you can show it off to Lily another day. She will still be happy to see it then." If anyone had walked past the family they looked like happy rednecks, and that's exactly what they were - happy.

Hearing the voice of a woman caught Dart Vader by surprised. He quickly looked over at Talia, puzzled behind his masked, he look around him to make sure that she was speaking to him. He has had the bad experience of assuming someone spoke to him and responded to them, just to have there be someone nearby him. Now that thought was burned in the back of his head, making him have to be positive that there was no one else around. That way if he was mistaken and she's speaking to herself, he's not too much of a douche for inserting himself into her life. "Running?"

Roger was the only person running so far, so he had to be the one she spoke of! That and he's the only one around. The sith lord quickly looked around again, to make sure, then pointed at himself and asked. "Wait, you're talking to me right? Erm. I mean. Yes. I was running I guess." He nodded, as he started to picking some of grass to ease his nerves. In the same time apologizing to the plants in his head, loud enough that he hoped they could psychically hear him. "Um, I'm fine. I just thought I saw a dragon. It was just a Chinese kid." He looked forward and nodded to himself, assuring himself that the kid was Chinese and he wasn't just being a racist for assuming that.

"D..do you need something from me? I'm not really Dart Vader." Roger asked, looking at the woman in the toga again. A blush covering his face under the mask. "Uh, I'm not an a*****e either. Just um..." Roger cursed to himself in his head, saying all the wrong things. "...H-hello!" Roger said quickly, holding his hand out for her to shake. He was very nervous now and his palms very sweaty, they would most likely make an odd squishing sound under the gloves; he just hoped she was rude and didn't shake his hand.

____

Almost instantly, Holly was overwhelmed by an odd feeling from this woman. She was clearly a police office, or another person of authority and power! No one else would make such a hero voice with such skill. Just the kind of person Holly was looking for. She knew only a good doer would dress as Wonder Woman, her stance only enforced her previous suspicion. Haha! Wonderful." Holly laughed pleased giving her a thumbs up. "Such confidence! Let me ask you this Wonder Woman, what if I were to tell you that I could let you in on something that will bring you eternal joy and happiness?" She smiled broadly at the superhero. "Now, what if I were to ask you that you could fill each and every person you know with the feeling of amazing wonderfulness?!"

Laurent was kind of happy to be out. He knew that it was best to start mingling, he had been on the island for quite some time and was still yet to make any real connections beside his boss and brother. So, here he was, wearing a blow up pumpkin that he cut holes into and some green leggings. Sure it was boring, but he didn't feel like doing anything else with it. He walked over to where the little refreshments were and grabbed a drink to sip nonchalantly a few steps away from the table. Hopefully someone would stop by and talk to the big plastic pumpkin; he sure wasn't going to talk to them first. Standing there, he noticed that he wasn't the only pumpkin here. This was awful. Hopefully no one would notice, but how could anyone not notice two giant a** pumpkins? He was blushing and trying to cover his face with the cup he was drinking from.

Raiden had decided that it was a good idea to come to a festival every once in awhile. It was entirely by chance that he chose to come to the one where his girlfriend was dressed rather scandalously. He was dressed as a Raiden. It was kind of funny to him, but a little part of him hoped he wouldn't have to explain it to anyone. That would be embarrassingly annoying. He stopped walking when he was in good sight of Haruka and at a good position where she wouldn't easily be able to see that he was being a completely creepy stalker. Even if she did, he would just look down with his giant hat and act like he was adjusting his costume or package or something.

Xeiro was happy to be out with his oldest kid. He was dressed as a zombie and was trying to walk like one. But, it was hard to keep up with a kid that was embarrassed by you when you were dragging your leg behind you. What was worse was the fact that he was so into this role that he refused to say anything that a zombie wouldn't say. "BRAINS! Brainssssss. Brains." She wasn't listening to a word he was saying, he might as well not even be talking at all! He continued dragging his leg behind him, happy with the fact that he had long enough legs to mostly keep up. "Brains." Oh, it was almost to the point where she was running from him. It kind of made him feel bad, and he wasn't sure if zombies knew how to feel bad.

Lyra was supposed to be a dead bride thing of sorts. She wanted to keep up with the theme that her dad had thrown out when he decided to be a zombie, but she had no idea that it was going to be this awful. Her dad was normally kind of dumb, but he never really embarrassed her too bad. Well, except for the time that he walked her to school and shook hands with all of the kids, labeling himself as her dad. He was trying to make up for the time he spent acting like she wasn't his then, so she let that slide. But, this. This was too much. "Dad! You're not a real zombie! I don't even have any idea what you're talking about! You're so embarrassing!" She tried to pick up her pace, desperately searching for someone from school to run up to, but then again. Mr. Brains back here would just follow her there and talk to them. She was trapped.

Todd was kind of forced to come. But, that was okay. It meant that he could wear a costume! So he chose to be a monk. Yeah, it was a bit random, but he loved it. He had tried on the bald cap several different times, but it never looked as good as his hair did. So, he just left the cap at home and came with his beautiful hair down. He smiled and waved at a few people that he recognized, but continued to walk with his sister and listen to whatever she was rambling on about.

Tatyana just loved the pumpkin festival! It was the only time of year that she could dress up like a hooker and not feel terrible about it! This year she chose to dress as a hustler and felt damn good doing it. But, that didn't mean that everyone else looked good. "Todd. Do you see that girl over there? Oh, don't look so quickly. You're so obvious. Yes, the one in the princess outfit. Se looks terrible, she's like your age dressed like a little kid. Who does that? She doesn't even look good in it. Stop looking! Oh gosh. Would you look at all the tramps around here? It really is ridiculous, they're a little old for this. Yes, Todd. I know I'm a little old, too. But, look at her. Todd! Seriously, stop gawking." She rolled her eyes at him and continued walking until she found a nice bench to sit on and watch people with her brother, hoping that something interesting would break loose. She needed something else to talk about.

Was that a horrid speck of crap floating through the air? What could be such an ugly color of brown flying like that? Why it was none other than the wonderful water fairy soaring through the sky in her little dog costume. She had seen the humans dress up for this festival many a time and thought that she should join in on all of the fun, and who knows. Maybe Orchid had a furry fetish that she never knew about! It filled Lavender almost to the point of tears to think of how great it would be to stumble upon the one thing that would make Orchid hers! She was making her way towards her beloved now, smiling down at all of the humans as she did. It was a bit disappointing to only see a small few of her followers out today; she had honestly expected to see a bit more. Didn't they know that their wonderful fairy was coming out today? They should have all been here bright and early with peace offerings for her. They obviously weren't thinking about what was quickly approaching upon them. Their presents would all be lacking this year, maybe coal, maybe flooding their house. Well, except for the nice and lovely people that cared enough to come out today. They would get love! Speaking of giving love, there was Orchid. So close, she could smell her. But she needed to be closer. She flew to her beautiful, incredible, amazing, wonderful love. Words could barely even express how great she felt being so--- hold the ******** up.

Were her eyes deceiving her? Oh, surely they weren't. She was a fairy for crying out loud. Her eyes were awesome. So that meant that Ilex was touching her woman. She zoomed in much faster now and floated beside the two of them. "Hi Orchid!" Her voice was chipper and lovingly high. She wanted to wrap her arms around the girl, but her suit was a little conflicting in the arm area. It was enough to get her wings out of the back without making the whole thing look dumb. Oh, but yes. There was another person here, wasn't there. "Ilex." He didn't even deserve a greeting after that stunt he just pulled. Ah how she yearned to drown him at this very moment. "Sooooo, what are you doing my love?" She turned her back on Ilex, flapping her wings in his face, hoping to send some dust particle down his throat and kill him or something. If anyone asked, it was all just to get a better view at what Orchid was looking at. Ahhhhhhh Orchid. How wonderful just her name was.

Oh, sarcasm. How original. ...Honestly, it did feel somewhat original; Ed hadn't had to deal with much sarcasm from Morgan or Quentin and those were mostly who he associated with. Ah, but their high school teacher was rather sarcastic at times.. In any case, Ed didn't even twitch at the girl's bluntness – actually, outside of how she was criticizing him, he somewhat liked it. Most of all he knew were difficult to figure out; they danced around honesty like it would severely hurt them to just outright say it. That was the main reason he liked Morgan, outside of the kid's constant mistakes; he was very obvious about how he viewed things. Quentin was at times too, but.. honestly, did he have to explain why he disliked him?

I know.” Was his instant retort to what she said because he would be damned if she thought he didn't know something. “I thought you weren't the type to spend money on something you wouldn't use more than once, though, and a fairy costume would only be used regularly by someone who believed it had some kind of significance.” He shrugged – a mouthful, but, he was feeling a little irate that day; probably had to do with the family outing and costumes. He added with a flat look at her to her last comment, “I'm fun.” It was true! Just probably not whatever she called 'fun'. ..Actually, definitely not what she called fun.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

..Was.. was he patting her head? Vi had stopped her continuous whine with a perplexed look, her face still shoved into his suit. She didn't understand that at all! Even Ed would normally shove her away by this point and then try to comfort her, not let her get all her tears and snot all over him! She sniffed loudly as if to see if that would remind him that she was gross right then, but it didn't seem like it affected much. ...This was weird. But, she didn't hate it, so she didn't move, not until he spoke in such a nice voice that she had to pull back to look at him and make sure he was being serious. She hadn't cried that hard, so it wasn't too hard to stop the flow of tears as she stared at him blankly for a good few seconds. ..He didn't seem to be changing.. “No, I'm not.” Because to be lost would mean she didn't know where she was! She knew where she was, it was just everyone else that she couldn't find! “I can't find daddy or Ed,” She explained with a sad frown, her hand pointing stiffly towards the bucket while she continued with a whimper, “and I can't reach the candy! I want the chocolate and my costume won't let me!” She tried to move her arms around his legs to exhibit that, the box preventing her before she could fully do so. Ahh, she wanted to be a cat too! Why was she even a dumb box?!

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Whaaat? Ilex wasn't helping?! But, he was always helping! How could he not?! He frowned in slight confusion at Orchid until he realized just what was wrong. Oh, stupid Ilex! He hadn't even thought about how Orchid must feel – she really needed a longer hug! Hugs always healed people and, even if they didn't, he sure as heck liked to do it! ♥ Someone was benefiting, at least! He smiled and was about to do so again, not caring if she squirmed or anything like she had before – it just meant she was rubbing him in the riiight way~ ♥ But, before he could do so, Lavender had come by and her larger breasts had him turned at attention and back in the air. Oh, she deserved more of a cuddle than anyone! “LAVEN- GHARGH.” He gagged as a pair of fairy wings slapped him in the face, sending something down his throat with killer intent. But, because he was a fairy and it would be absolutely pathetic that he would allow himself to die from something like a murderous speck of dust, Ilex cleared his throat and survived the ordeal! He couldn't have himself be hit by Lavender – who was so doing it by absolute mistake – though, so he did a somersault in the air to get out of the way, chortling the entire way because it was so fun! He turned in the air and fluttered over to Orchid's other side, smiling again, “I like your costume, Lavender! Do you like dogs? I like dogs! ♥ I love to pet them! So much!” And if given the chance, he would pet that little puppy so much. But, she was a bit far from him and his libido, so he kept that comment to himself.

-Eleanor LeBlanc, Rune LeBlanc, Blaire Page, Brooke Page, Julian Parker, & Miah Bernadetto-

It would've been unfair to say that Yoakim said that about every outfit Rune put on... no matter how true it was. Except overalls. He was adamant about overalls. "I am. I know. I paid for it" replied the woman. Really she didn't see anything wrong with it. It could've been a bit longer, but it wasn't that short. And so he went on... It would've been fun to point out that she would bet anything he enjoyed those costumes when he was a teenager. But she wasn't going to poke at that, there was no point. Instead she just shook her head. "Stop being silly about this." He most likely wouldn't but well she tried. After settling into the, habit, Eleanor had began to look around, before a tense grip had her attention shifting to her husband again. He was here? Ellie swallowed instinctively and tried to spot him, that mixture of feelings going about inside her, but Reed and Blaire blocked her view. She was thankful to be honest... but now her mind was a little distant. And it showed for a few seconds for her to think about something else than that. ...Where did Rune go off to again? It took some brain will to focus on her family. "You know him, always worrying" smiled the woman. Appearances were everything right? Which was why she had settled close to her husband.

Following suit of her husband, Blaire had been scouting the different outfits, and she had been quite proud of her selection, even prouder to see no one else had it. "Oh lighten up Yoakim. Live a little" said the young woman with a small smile. She was teasing of course, at a bad time, but still teasing. Having a hand in the management of this island was no easy task... especially with all that happened. One would've figured that without Gaston things would've been calmer. Oh what a dream. If she was asked about Rune's outfit, she would mean it though. He needed to lighten up with that girl. Now unlike Ellie and Yoakim, Blaire's marriage was going quite well, not that she knew anything about the other's except some comment from Ellie but nothing big, so she had an arm linked around her clown husband's arm. He was hers after all~

For a moment Rune looked down at her costume, confused at his comment, before realizing he meant Duke. "Well Yoakim picked it out..." That should explain things. The man wasn't really that creative... with anything. Oh now he was talking about her outfit. "You think so? Thank you! Please go tell Yoakim that. He won't stop criticizing" complained the girl before crossing her arms in front of her. It didn't take a genius to understand what he was implying... he might as well just say the word. Oh he was just so old-fashioned! No he was worse than that! Old-fashioned were her grandparents and they would've been fine with this. "You know I like the Frankenstein thing going on. Doesn't it look cool Duke?" said the girl, joining in on petting the dog.

If Brooke let her anger took over, she would've growled. Instead she glared at her sister and was about to retaliate Erika decided to drag her along. Now Erika was fairly weak, except when possessed, but she was still taller and older, so that made her have the necessary strength to take Brooke with her. Which she resisted and told her countless times to let go of her before the Harris family came into view. Sneaky demon... The girl threw a very evil glare at her sister before calming down and looking at the family. "Hey~" They both sure knew how to cover. "Skyla~" Of course she would focus on her second cousin. They were best friends and-Erika was hogging her... One thing was her dad. She wasn't getting her best friend too. "I love your cloud. And Dulce looks cool" said the girl with a smile, a very off one as she attempted to pull Erika off of Skyla, at least enough to squirm her way into the hug.

How Julian managed to get out of the house with that costume was a miracle. He was sure Romane wouldn't let him use it... Oh well, if it let him be out and about hunting for candy, he wasn't going to question that miracle. Especially since Miah was also ready for that hunt... They'd get it. And they would get so much they barf afterwards. Well Julian basically, Miah had a better tolerance for junk food than him. For now though, they would be near the snack table, chatting up viable locations to get candy or just food and to hide and eat. Perfect.

Somewhere in the fields... was a giant turkey... with eight mini turkeys circling him. Oh who was this? Well Lucas and his one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight kids! This was a family festival after all! But Alanis was being all charitable and the perfect housewife that she was, spending her time on the feast back home. Since Lucas had arrived a bit early, he couldn't escape the fate... Now he was herding eight kids, or turkeys... which he failed miserably at since the 8 NPC children went and left his father to bother a woman and a monk, Tatyana & Todd, with chatter and asking for her guns. "Oh dear..." mumbled the turkey before stumbling after them. "I'm sorry! Una get off her leg please! Trey her hair's not food! Kat get Hex off the nice man's costume! Oh Deus not the tail!" Lucas tried... He really did... But while three of the eight were bothering the duo, the other four had managed to pull on his costume and had him on the ground... This was a sad situation...

Meanwhile at some point of the festival, a gorilla went around with a banana... Who was this? None other than Eet! Somehow it had ended up visiting an old lady who wanted to dress her grandkid up as a gorilla, but the guy had refused and refused and the old lady put it on Eet gave it a banana and sent it on it's way. Now a gorilla stopped in the middle of the field and sat down to focus intently on the banana... Banana~

"Isaac. Why a gecko?" "Gecko's are cool Leon!" "..." Sure they were. Leon shook his head at his brother. He really was a nerd... The man had been very happy with his costume. He knew he looked good~ But... having a gecko next to you could not be good. "You know... just go have fun. I know I will~" said the older brother before leaving him alone and wandering on his own. It wasn't long until he noticed a familiar face, Yuri, in the field. It wasn't that hard to spot her, she had blue hair and was standing alone in the middle of the festival... "Hey sexy" greeted the male as he approached her. Well, they were around the same age... and she was quite the looker... and the outfit sure helped.

Isaac on the other hand sighed and kept on his own. He thought they could do this together, but obviously that wasn't the case. Instead, after roaming a bit, Isaac found himself face to face with a... dog? Was the boy, Styde, that? Or a mouse... "Fellow animal!" Whatever it was. "Hey, interesting... costume" said the boy carefully, he didn't want to offend or anything, but he didn't look that much older than him and... worth a shot.

And away from all the mayhem of humans, Carnation floated around eying her followers. Oh who to prank this year? Raiden hadn't been that thrilled last year... And it was no fun if he was expecting it this year so... she had to choose. At some point. For now, she was distracted by her siblings bickering. "Yo Ilex! Lavender" greeted the fairy, obviously ignoring Orchid. Why bother with her anyways? "Ready for some pranking?"

"..." Not that later was Iris joining the group. Her mind was still focused on a candy empire, so it would take her a bit to realize her siblings were bickering about something-Oh... and Lavender was there. The fairy tilted her head slightly before going back to watching a turkey with four turkeys on top. That was interesting... So many turkeys...

Talia & Ian & Gabriel & Benji

Benji's eyes went wide as his friend, Wil continued to describe what Ben took as the whole child population of Nirvani. He wished to speak up a few times before it became too out of hand but found himself almost fearing the kid once more. If he couldn't talk, what could Ben do? He began to have an inner struggle. He was weak and usually quiet but he did like to speak. If the world took that away from him too, what would he have let? His sight? Would that be taken as well?

As Benji began to dig himself an emotional grave, the voice that was Wil's finally silenced. He released a sigh of relief and let himself calm down for a moment before answering. When he did, he looked to the ground afraid that he may get a disappointed look if he dared turn to his friend, "Oh um, well, just, you know, the gang. I was kinda just thinking me, you, Peter and John...if, you know, you'd like to." He paused, not looking forward to Wil's reply, so instead he decided to tie on an explanation, "See, the house isn't all that big for many people, so I don't wanna make it too large. Not gonna be fun to fit everyone into the two rooms. You know, bedroom and the bathroom. I'd hate it if someone had to sleep in the tub. I wouldn't look like a good host..." His voice trailed off as he looked to the side farther from Wil. Benji just felt like he should go bury himself into a small hole and never come out. What a disappointment he must be.

---------

Ian reshifted his weight and watched Priscilla as she answered. He felt a good need to answer to her first remark with a small grin. He meant it not to look like the snarky grin of a smug arse; however, he feared it would come off as so. "But is someone defined by how they are born to react, or how they handle themselves casually? If the later then guess it's best to see them at their best, right? Or are you a realist?" His last comment twisted his lips into a sly grin. He felt the answer would be yes, and maybe that's why he was interested in her. Still, the thought was pushed away as he anwered her other question, molding his face to a more calm and suddle expression, "The business is fine; however, sometimes ambition makes us move out of what we're comfortable with and into something new and risky. For me, that's owning my own shop. I put the money down so now I'm just really waiting on the papers." For some reason, Ian didn't feel that this would be to the lady's interest and decided to turn the tables, "But what about you? A being a mechanic the end goal or are you like most of us and just work to get what work provides: money?" His dark eyes looking into hers, trying to read the young woman.

------

Talia was a little surprised by Roger's reply. He seemed to be a little bit... confused at first. As he questioned who she was talking to, Talia couldn't help but let a smirk leak onto her lips. It was slightly adorable that he was so muddled about the whole thing. She even took his chinese remark with a complete smile. Talia wasn't sure why but once he admitted to not being a fictional character, the woman straight out laugh. She managed a small comment, "Oh yes, well I just wanted to ask if you could take out a few wookies for me." Her smile was bright as she tried to cover her giggling face that muttered small 'sorry's through her hands. His awkward straight-forwardness really threw her for a loop - a good laughable loop.

She barly was able to hear him stumble on a few words before her eyes watched him shoot out a hand. Instandly, the last remaining giggles died down. With a small smile, Taila took the man's hand and answered, "Hello. I guess I'm Talia then, and if you're not an a*****e either, what can I call you?" The woman had wanted to add in another comment like she'd go slay the dragon for him but felt it was too much - especially for their first meeting. Talia was probably odd enough already. Still, she removed her hand that had gripped his and returned it to her lap to straighten out her dress as she waited for a reply.

'The thing about being a stripper in public is that anyone who has seen you doesn't want the world to know they've seen you. But I guess that means it's another night of standing in the background being the small peice of joy in an otherwise boring scene.' Gabe thought bitterly as he decided to mosey away a distance from the on-goings. He hadn't meant to appear to be full of himself, he was just slightly sore that his job made him so lonely. He was a living, breathing porn magazine that people hide in their bedside desk until they were alone and lusty; however, instead of a desk he would be found in the Windmill on the stage. Gabriel sighed and leaned his weight onto oneside. His blue eyes examined the surrounding area. Several more people had shown up with amazing costumes. Their chatter making the air sing. As he watched, he saw Benji sitting with his new friend. 'Least he's having fun.'

Was the festival stressing Yoakim? Oh, of course not. That would just be a silly thought to have. There was absolutely nothing stressful about that festival. He only had to show up to make act of presence and that was it. Even the Sonata’s hadn’t bothered to show up that that. There was nothing that Yoakim had to do during this one festival; still, it was far from being his favourite one, due to the real reason as to why he was stressed, that is, Rune. He was about to tell Reed that his daughter was driving him insande, that he wanted to scream, throw a childish fit and then follow by locking her up in a basement until she was 60, only to finish by asking Reed if he had any suicidal tendencies due to him having two daughters, but before all that panic could happen, his wife had answered for him. It was probably better for everyone present that she did so. ”I’m sorry, Blair, but some of us have to go to work and don’t have time to live.”, he replied to her with a smile… Was that sarcastic? That so sounded sarcastic… but it wasn’t! He really just meant that his work stressed him… Hopefully, she wouldn’t take it wrong. ”You two are lucky you can stay at home while working. Raising two kids is work enough as it is. In fact, you wouldn’t want to take one or two more for a short while? Only a decade, no more, I swear.” Hopefully, that joke with a laugh added at the end would make everything better. Hopefully. Probbaly with Reed…. As for Blaire… erg, well, he’ll see. At least they weren’t Kip.

++++++++++

Where they petting him? Oh yes they were, oh yes they were. With his eyes rolling up and his droll falling on the ground, Duke was a happy dog right now. He had no idea what his master and her tasty friend were saying, but cared? They were petting him for Goddess sake! Ohhhh it felt so good! So good, in fact, that they should pet him more! He let himself fall on the ground and rolled on his back, exposing his stomach. Yes, scratch the stomach! Scratch the stomach! Come oooooon! Doooo iiiit! Oh, why wasn’t it feeling too today? Something was bothering him behind his head…. It was that… those… whatever big ears he had grown over night. Maybe if he scratched them they would fall off? Worth a try! But… stomach…. Oh, the hell with the red ears, the stomach was more important!

++++++++++

Who what why where? Before she knew it, a giant flying brown smelling thing was attacking Ilex. Now, while Orchid was irritated toward him, being attack by a flying excrement was not something she would have wished on him! It was more something she’d wish on Carnation or Chrysanthemum! Not Ilex! She liked Ilex! He would always vote for her if she flashed him her little fairy breasts! He was almost as easy to manipulate as Lavender who was inside the tur-oh. It was Lavender. Dressed in some stupid costume. What the hell, fairy? ”Lavender! What’s that monstrosity that you’re wearing? Haven’t I thought you anything about fashion? Brown does not go well with the blue of your hair! Jeez, Louise!” The little pink fairy was happy that Lavender had saved her from Ilex, but it was no reason for her to do such a fashion faux pas! If she wanted to stay friend with Orchid, she had to get up to date with the program! She would end up just like Carnation who had oh so obviously blow her nose with said program and threw it away centuries ago, if she didn’t make an effort.

Proof that she had no good manners, she had failed to greet her! She was such a dumb fairy that she probably couldn’t tell each fairies apart! When she said Lavender, she had certainly meant Orchid, and thought that the real lavender was a branch of the tree they were sitting on. Obviously. ”Pranking? Pranking? You think this is pranking? This is no pranking! This is revenge! REVENGE FOR THE HONOUR OF ALL FAIRIES THAT ARENT RELATED TO THE STUPID ELEMENT OF WOOD. WE SHALL ENACT SWIFT RETRIBUTION ON HIS LOATHSOME BODY AND THROW HIS DESPICABLE CORPSE IN THE NEAREST BODY OF WATER! WE SHALL –“ For the security and well being of any child reading this, Orchid following speech will be censure. Thank you all for your understanding, and please, drive safely. ”PUPPIES! RAINBOW UNICORN NYAN CAT SUNSHINE! SPARKLES SPARKLES! PINK RAINBOW LIGHT DANCE SUNSHINE! SWEET KITTY BALL OF FUR! PUPPIES RAINBOW PUPPIES CANDY SPARKLE SHINING PUPPIES!”

Suddenly, announcing her present in a large shriek, a rather large being was flying above the festival ground. Was it a bird? Was it a fairy? Was it a goddess? Yes! It was all three! Or well, it was the one and only Chrysanthemum, the wood fairy, ridding a magnificent falcon. Why in her own sake would she fly to the festival ground? Or even waste some of her precious magic poof’ing thee? No, there was no reason to bless her sisters with such a divine apparition such as herself or to break a sweat making an effort to go there. It was better to arrive riding a falcon she had just captured in the forest. She ‘parked’ her falcon on the branch right next to were Hyacinth was watching the scene. ”Such an unpleasant sigh. You’d believe they never were raised!”, she commented, disapproving of her sister’s behaviour. ”I keep telling the Goddess that I should be put in charge of them, but it seems like she had grown deef with old age.” They should really replace that old diety with someone more suiting for the task, like herself.

++++++++++

Ah yes, he had been right. Once again, he was taking over a situation that really didn’t ask for him to take over. He should really let people make their own plans before interfering like he was doing. That really was a bad habit of his that he should be working on, but dammit, it was too fun and too easy to do! Why were all the good and fun things bad for you? Like Candies. And chips. And cookies. Yeah. Those things should be the healthy food, not spinach and carrots. He quickly gave three little pat on Benji’s closest body part, that is, his leg, before laughing the whole thing way. ”Ah, nah, man! Don’t worry! I got carried away! I get carried away a lot! I understand! Really! I do! You just wanted me over, but I made it into a party so you chose a middle ground! But you shouldn’t! Isn’t that right, Peter? Uh, Peter?” Wilhelm looked left and right again, still looking for his friend. Where was he? Oh, he was still with the rest of his family… ”God, that boy is slow sometimes.” Or maybe it was him that was a little too fast… Naaaah. ”So, I’ll be over to your house tomorrow! Yeah! No need for everyone! We can hang! Just me and you! Beside, John isn’t allowed to stay out late and Peter’s kind of shy when it comes to those things.” Or at least that was the impression that he had always gotten for them. Beside, if he was the only one going over, he could learn to get to know Gabriel Benji better! He was sure that Peter and John would understand if he spend a night with another friend and maybe that way they would understand how he feels when they chose to spend time with Erika or Quentin instead. What had family members so special that it was more important to spend time with them rather than him anyway? Talking about siblings, where was Benji’s? Oh, he was standing over there… alone… still showing lots of skin. Where was the girl from before? Ditched him? Maybe she wasn’t his girlfriend in the end… Wilhelm liked that whole situation. Yep.

Sothen resisted the urge to flinch as he felt her gaze finally rest on him, looking at his sloppy appearance. Not willing to meet her eyes, he continued to look out at the gathering of people, munching on whatever he held in his hand. It sounded like she was one of those educated folk, maybe who thought they might be better than his sort. Not that he was stupid, of course. His skills just lay elsewhere. Not to mention he didn't have the money to continue education. It was hard enough for him to afford anything at this point, although he had more hope in this town. His new farming job would help change that, and he think he might actually enjoy it. Being in the outdoors everyday, tending to the fertile soil and harvesting crops...What was there not to like? It sounded a whole lot better than working in some industrial factory. Although the world needed those types of people too... And the people around here seemed to be doing okay; he didn't see any beggars on the streets. It was a miracle he finished basic schooling, or the equivalent of what 'high school' is over here. The last thing he would want is this Eva analyzing his every move in some clinic, and paying his good, hard earned cash on it. It was like paying to be tortured. But he was glad the older woman was speaking to him, and taking an interest, however slight that may be. He had initiated conversation with one person so far, and the goal was completed. It wouldn't make sense to walk away now and begin the painful process once again. Especially at an event like this with all the strange costumes. "Change of scenery. New opportunities. The usual..." He replied to her, his grey eyes glancing quickly over to Eva before giving a question of his own; "How do you feel about the town?"

Watching his face, it appeared to her that this little smirk of his might actually be genuine, but what he asked her next caught her a bit by surprise, even if Priscilla didn't allow it to show in her face. Ian certainly was getting a little personal here wasn't he? "Instinct." She met his little grin with a wry smile of her own. "Nothing says human nature like instinct. Rudeness tends to provoke that, I've found. I haven't quite figured you out yet, but you're a business man, your type tends to be able to deal with whatever customers can throw at them. I'm sure even you have a breaking point though." As Priscilla observed his face, she came to realization he had quite the control over his features, and his expressions. Maybe he was just toying with her, as she often enjoyed to do. Wouldn't that be interesting? She liked to think she was pretty damn good at lying, but she knew she failed in the department of detecting lies and treachery. She only had a knack for exploiting the weaknesses of others. Not that she was right now, no, this Ian was proving to be an interesting individual, genuine or not. "You can label me as a realist, if you wish, although I do enjoy watching idealists have their own little fun, even messing around when the urge arises." Priscilla told him truthfully before returning the question with her left brow raised, "And what of you?"

Honestly, it was nice to hear a bit of ambition from anybody, even from a vet. She would have never guessed he was the animal type in the few minutes she has had to speak and observe the dark-haired, dark-eyed man. In fact, she was a little surprised by how in depth the two were getting after their initial greeting. He was pretty clever, Priscilla had to give him that much. "It's not so much money; it's what money can obtain. But if you are asking if I enjoy my choice of work, then yes, I do." Challenging his unwavering gaze with her own, she couldn't help but feel as if this Ian were trying to solve some sort of mystery. His own eyes were as unreadable as his intentions, but it sure caught her attention. "Are you in the vet business for an ambition towards riches? If so, it's an odd choice."

Usagi beamed as her newfound confidence was pointed out. So not only did she feel confident, but she looked it too! She knew this costume would be a great idea. Much better than the majority of her ideas were actually. Being addressed as Wonder Woman was also pretty exciting, she liked this woman and therefore thought it worthwhile to listen to what she had to say. "Eternal joy and happiness?" Usagi repeated. She could definitely use that with all the mishaps that seemed to happen in her life. The next statement from the nun was also a nice one, everyone should be able to experience the feeling of "amazing wonderfulness" and if she were the one to bring that feeling to others than maybe she'd feel like she actually had some sort of purpose, well other than arranging and selling flowers, she guessed that was somewhat purposeful. "Yes, yes tell me!" Usagi replied to the woman excitedly.

A confused look crossed Mitsukai's face as the boy spoke again. How would he have any idea as to what type of person she was and what she would or wouldn't do? Even so, it's not like it should matter to him in the first place. Well, if he must know, "I don't see why it's any of your business, but well yeah....you're right," she admitted a bit relectantly, "But, that's just the usual case," she quickly added. "I don't mind sometimes spending money on something I'll only use once if it's for a special occasion or for something fun like this," she explained.

He was fun, really? she was actually quite curious as to what his idea of fun was, "And how are you fun?" she decided to ask. the question probably came off as a bit rude but it was a question that needed to be answered. After all,she needed to inform the boy that whatever he thought was fun, was most likely quite the opposite.

It wasn't long until Ai had had enough of looking up at the moon. sure it was pretty and all but the woman could only stay occupied with that for so long. she decided that it was time to go interact with someone. That's what festivals were for after all. As she looked around she noticed a young man (Gabriel) standing by himself and decided to approach him, "Hello!" she said cheerfully. "You look lonely," she pointed out. Anyone who was standing alone looked lonely to Ai. Whether or not the preferred to be alone didn't matter, once she got the idea of them being lonely in her head it was there to stay.
