xxxBenji Gallus xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ✗xxx"And I wish that plant life would grow all around me..."➸ 'Oh no, I'm late. First day and I'm late.' Benji bit his lip tightly as he jogged onto the school's property. Today was already a bad day and he knew this. It didn't help that Gabriel failed to return home last night which always made him antsy. He hadn't even slept a wink due to his worrisome nature for his brother, leaving him groggy and delusional. Even the time he estimated it would take to get changed and pack his lunch was doubled, guaranteeing him late to his first day. To really sign this day off as his worst day ever, Benji knew nothing about the school or anyone in the school. All he was told about from his older brother was to wear the stupid uniform and to follow the directions on a chicken-scratch map. Releasing a sigh, Ben stood in an unknown place trying to create a plan of action.
Upon receeding his conciousness into hopeless ideas and figures, something hit him across the head. It took him a moment to register it was a bag, thankfully nearly empty. First he felt neutral about it until his imagination got the best of him, 'Oh gosh... they don't like me. They don't even know my name and they don't like me.' Hesitantly and cautiously, Benji dared to catch a glimpse of the man who thrown it. 'I bet they know I'm weak. Look at my fragile figure. What if this island believes in cannibalism? I'll be dead. If someone says 'kill the pig', I must run. Wait. I can't run, I can hardly jog. That means... I'm dead. I'm dead.' He was letting his ideas get the best of him as he blurted out, "Tell my brother I love him!" He stopped. His eyes paced his immediantly area. He slipped up, and he knew it. As his cheeks turned red, he slowly picked up the bag and humbly tip-toed over to the man who had thrown it. Hesitantly offered him the bag back and murmured, "Um...I think...it was you who dropped this. I, uh, caught it. Yeah. Here?" He tried to manage small forced smile while his cheeks were still a red tint. His eyes making sure not to look this stranger or his friend in the eye.
"...So I won't feel dead anymore."xx ___________________________________________________________________✗ OOC:

"If we had a house my daddy would let me keep the froggies i catch." Lily said with a smile, as she sat down besides Brody. She kicked her feet about too, letting them swing as she listened to Brody. "I like bumblebee He's awesome, but Optimus is cool too. Spiderman is nice, sometimes i wish i could crawl on the ceiling and walls like he does. Wouldnt that be fun?! That would be fun!" Lily said with a smile. When her other daddy was brought up she lost a bit of her smile but kept a cheerful attitude. "No silly. He cant be found. He died in a car crash a few years ago. My daddy was real sad about it." Lily said before she frowned momentarily. "I do miss him myself. I remember him being pretty awesome! He was French and was starting to teach me it too! I know Bonjour, it means hello in French." Lily added with a smile as she perked back up. "Hey why are there so many people here, huh?" Lily asked gently. ___________ She moved away from the other girl... so weird. And so rude, he felt bad for Lyra. Poor girl just wanted to make friends. He felt bad enough to want to break his own streak of not making friends. So, Constantine got up from his seat and walked up to Lyra, who had been trying to talk to the purple haired mysterious girl. He reached out and tugged lightly on Lyra's sleeve. " Hey Im Constantine. You can call me Isaac." Constantine said before he gestured over to Maxine back in another corner. "She seems to do that alot to anyone who comes near her... i wouldnt be too put off. She just seems to like.. her corners.. and space." Constantine said to Lyra. Hey when you were quiet and watched people you got to know their certain behaviors, even if he didnt understand why. "I like the color of your hair by the way." Constantine said gently and with a faint smile to Lyra.

Morgan was still trudging along, now almost inside the room. He felt a bit of security in knowing that it was only around the corner. He put one foot in front of the other, his notebook now at his side. He stepped into the big kid classroom and took a chair at the far corner; he couldn't be too close to the door if there was some bomber/gun man. This was why he needed to be by the windows, he could easily and swiftly dive out and into the same open air where the backup bomber/gun man would surely get him. But, he would go down in Nirvani's history as the only student smart enough to escape through the window. He could see it now, everyone would learn about him. None of these other weirdos, him. He stood in front of the desk and stuck his free hand into his bag and pulled out a can of high-quality disinfectant spray. He then quickly sprayed down the whole area, including what the desk was sitting on. So, there he was, bent over and spraying the floor, chair legs, and desk. "That should do it." He mumbled to himself after the second spray through and then sat his notebook on top of the desk and his bag beside it.
He then made his way over to the window and began looking over the outside. It seemed as though everything was safe and in order, BUT WAIT. There was a squirrel right over there by that tree. He was so close, and he looked like he had murder in his eyes. Morgan pulled down his goggles and backed away slowly before taking his seat. His eyes kept drifting back over to that squirrel, hopefully it wouldn't come in and eat his face. That would be a bad, bad thing to happen.

Beatrice was watching Lyra with a big smile, she was all grown up. It happened so fast. Ah, she couldn't let herself get all worked up about it. It was just life, but it was just so sad, really. Watching her nieces grow was just reassuring her that she was getting just as much older as they were. She couldn't imagine it being her own children, that would just be that much worse. She had really grown up with these girls, and now she was taking the responsible role and playing mommy. Goddess, what would all the people here that didn't know her think, she was only 22 and had an 11 year old with her. That didn't look good, at all. But, it was worth it to see how adorable Lyra was, running off and trying to impress her. That little girl looked nice, uh oh. That didn't look good. Beatrice could feel a part of her heart breaking as the girl walked away from Lyra like that, it was just so sad from this angle and the distress on the little girl's face was enough to make it worse. She smiled at her little niece and gave her a thumbs up, she needed her to feel like she did good! But, maybe she was putting too much pressure on her. So, the next time Lyra glanced over at her, she waved goodbye. This way, she wouldn't have to worry about impressing anyone. All Beatrice was supposed to do was drop her off, right? But, after such a great summer and all the time they shared, it was just so hard to walk out of that school.

Lyra was standing there, mentally begging Maxine to say something to her, but all that came out were some mumblings about death. Then she left. Well, wasn't that great. She shot a slightly worried look to her aunt, and was a little happy when she began to leave. Not that she didn't love her aunt, but it was just that much worse to not be able to show her how many friends she had. Why couldn't Maxine just be nice, WHY. Oh, wait. There was another girl now! Had she been here long? The shock of the other girl ignoring her must have been too much to even notice that there was another. So, she turned to Icis and offered her a not so large smile. "Hi, I'm doing good, and yourself?" Good job, Lyra. Manners are important in making friends. She had her hands placed behind her back, in an awkward position while she squeezed them. But, it wasn't long before her attention was pulled elsewhere, this time her smile fell a few degrees more. She glanced over at the nice blond girl to see what she thought of the intruder before even thinking about responding.
She kind of stared blankly at the boy for a short time, deciding what she should do. He had touched her shirt! That was unacceptable. Oh, but he ended with a compliment. That almost made it all even out. So, now he wasn't gross, but he wasn't great, he would be put in the average category. "Umm, hi. I'm Lyra. I've seen you some before, and I don't care about Maxine. I was just trying to be nice. It's all okay. Thank you, I like your hair too, I guess." She smiled, ever so slightly, trying to play nice with everyone. Why couldn't Aunty Bea have seen how popular she was now?! She turned back to the first girl, "I'm sorry, what were you saying?" Sure, it was a bit rude. But, she had to get back to the other conversation. He could butt in again if he wanted, but it was more important to make girl friends, after all. Daddy would never let a boy even step into the house.

Unlike half of the kids that went to school that day, Brian had come in in a truck. Why? Because his parents both adored driving vehicles – cool looking vehicles – and they couldn't picture Brian going through school without showing up in one every year. Sure, his mother wouldn't be home for the rest of the season because of some delivery or another, but Brian still enjoyed the hell out of sitting in that truck, sticking his head and tongue out the window to look at kids as they walked. They couldn't go very fast, so it wasn't as if he didn't have time to talk about how cool his mom's car was before they drove past, which just made it even more epic. Brian was one happy kid when they arrived at the school, hopping out after a gross kiss from his mother and letting her handle carrying the helium tank inside behind him like a good NPC mother should.
..Yes, helium tank. Brian had gotten a giant remote control 'air swimming' shark that required it's helium to work and, as he was so encouraged to do, he was going to show the whole class how awesome he was to have something they would need to ship for fifty something dollars – or some big amount – to get. Was it allowed? His mom thought it was, but Brian knew very well that he had no clue and didn't care. Mrs. Rhodes would understand when she saw how cool his toy was! And if she didn't, he had a whole container of legos to keep her and any objectors occupied. See, Brian knew how to share! He hummed happily to himself as he walked into the school, heading straight to his classroom and his desk near the back with his mother. The woman set it down with a grunt and gave him another pat on the head before leaving him to his own devices – which he took to with little more than a waved finger at his mother as she left. The shark wasn't gonna blow itself up, after all!

Ah, school! Again! Mimi beamed to herself as she casually ran into the building after Julian, who had managed to come just a few minutes before she did. Normally, the girl could run and keep up with the older boy, but not today! Mimi was much too disappointed today! She had dragged her feet as she speed-walked to the school, thinking of everything she missed out on today. Her mom had offered to walk her and her brother to school that morning, but had been declined before she could even agree! Stupid Julian and his not wanting to walk to school with a gun! It was so cool when their mom walked them, too! Mimi got to hold her gun and she could shoot everyone who tried to hurt them and then her dad would write a BIG article on how super she was at protecting everyone! Then she would be a hero and everyone would want to be friends with her!! Oh, yes, Mimi was going to be the biggest thing ever that morning, but then Julian ruined it! Ruined her chances at being the most popular kid in school, at everyone telling her all their secrets after giving her lots of candy and soda, and then all the pretty songbirds flying down to rest on her shoulder to congratulate it. He ruined her whole future by just saying one word – HE RUINED HER LIFE.
But then Mimi saw the school and everything became bright, cheery sunshine again. She ran in excitedly, screaming, “BYE, JULIAN!” as she went by her brother, heading straight into Jeremy. Her chest knocked into the boy first, giving her enough time to utter a surprised 'oof!' before the rest of her followed into a pile on the smaller child. The girl was still for a moment, trying her best not to cry because, dang it, that hurt! But, then she saw the familiar red hair and she smiled, forgetting it enough to stick both her hands onto his head and ruffle his hair up reeaallly good. “Je-RE-meee~!” She squealed before tiring of that and using him to stand herself back up, pushing off on his chest and stomach to yell at the back of the classroom, “Miah! Miah! Hey, hey, hi, MIAH!” Both arms went up in the air, waving about excitedly as she saw the girl, all a smile. Oh, she loved having friends! They had eachothers back and made watching Julian so much easier!

Vi walked to school alone that morning. It wasn't like she wasn't prepared for it – Ed had graduated last year and that meant she would have to do it by herself since her brother preferred going to the library the hour it opened rather than waiting. It was alright, though – Vi was plenty old! Sure, she was rather small and was often mistaken for being seven or eight rather than ten – a big difference to the girl, truly – but she wasn't some baby! Oh, no, Vi was grown up and that was why, as any grown up would do, she was sitting in the bathroom. The girl had strolled right into the school house, head held up high and eyes alert and prepared for anyone to try to pick on her for whatever reason, but, the second she thought no one was looking, she turned into the restroom and never came back out. It wasn't like she was hiding. Vi was just making sure she had her hair all tied up properly before she left to face everyone in her classroom again. Yep. Every older woman liked to do that stuff – that was why the bathrooms at the strip club was always so full. Sure, half of the people in them were puking in the toilets and sometimes making out, but so many more women were fixing make up, gossiping, and doing other important things! Which Vi was doing by herself, but, only because no one had come in yet! She would stop talking about how much she hated Gemma's hair by herself and get a girl to help her when they showed up!

Even if Ferdinando and January didn't feel like school, Lilia had gone anyway, being pulled up to it in a pretty pink carriage with a spray-painted hot pink pony with her name tattooed on the rear. Her aunt had insisted she get a good education and it wasn't like Lilia was going to pass up being invited to get out of the house. Seriously, it was such a pain having to risk running into Ferdinando everywhere she went – or January. She almost wanted to roll her eyes whenever she saw the girl wearing such gaudy clothing. Little kid or not, would it kill her to take five minutes to watch some TV and realize that she was a walking disaster? And don't get her started on Ferdinando. She loved her uncle, but his children needed a big reality check. But, enough about her family – Lilia had just stepped out of the carriage and flipped her hair with one hand. It was enough to make every thought stop because, damn it, it took so many hours perfecting that flip. The twelve-year-old adjusted her clothes, perked her completely real chest, and marched into the school, smiling sweetly at anyone who made eye contact because her smile was such a treat it was hard not to share it! She turned into the older kid classroom and took a seat near the front, crossing her legs and looking as casual as a kid sneaking into the teenager room could be.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Following shortly after Lilia came in John, who had finally arrived at school! It was really a wonder why he hadn't come in earlier – John was pretty fast when he felt he needed to be somewhere, so, truly, with the speed he left home, he should have gotten there before anyone else! But even an Olympic-speed runner would have been late to even their neighbors barbeque if it meant stopping twenty times a minute to make sure he didn't step on any leaves. Yes, autumn was in full bloom – which was pretty! But.. there were leaves all over the ground and John didn't like stepping on them. There was a chance a whole family of little caterpillars would be under there, waiting for their chance to dash to the grass for safety from the school kids that he would have carelessly murdered! But, while John had done his best to avoid every leaf he found, the boy had come to see that a whole pile of leaves had been left in front of him halfway to the school. He couldn't get around stepping on at least one leaf and, so, the boy had spent at least an hour picking up each individual leaf to make sure no family of insects was helplessly hiding underneath and setting it carefully to the side because he didn't want to make a mess with his intrusion on someone's very nicely done pile of leaves. By the time he was done, John had managed to find no caterpillars and maybe a dozen ants before he had realized he had to get to school.
So, here he was, walking into school with a notebook in hand because Conor refused to buy him a backpack. Which was fine with John; he never minded having to carry things – in fact, it was his favorite thing to do! Mostly because people asked him to carry things for them a lot and he had to like it if he did it a lot, right? It only made sense. ...He was blocking the doorway, wasn't he? John looked behind him to make sure no one was being stalled by his presence and, hurriedly, had stepped into the room, looking for somewhere to be. ..But, nowhere seemed to stick out! He frowned – where did he normally go when he got to class? His eyes went across the desks several times as he rethought of every single time he came into the classroom for the last ten years and came to the conclusion that he was supposed to be sitting with Quentin. Yes, his brother was where he always sat next to! He nodded to himself and looked again – but, he found, that Quentin wasn't there. He searched again frantically – no! Not there either! He was gone and John knew he left that morning! .Morgan was there, though, and so was the teacher and everyone who was normally – oh. Right. He graduated. John forgot.
He drooped his shoulders as the pieces came together – John had nowhere to sit. He didn't want to impose on anyone and ruin their friendships by making them believe him sitting near them meant he wanted attention or something, but.. then what did he do? Stand there? But the teacher would get mad – he didn't want to upset her again. His constant questions were enough to do that! He could sit with Wilhelm – Wilhelm seemed to like him – but, then, Wilhelm was talking to his friend and John didn't want to interrupt! So, he stared at him, chewing on his tongue worriedly and gripping his notebook as he tried to think of someway he could sit down and not disturb anyone – he needed a purpose here! A purpose that, thankfully, came as he saw a boy come in and disrupt Wilhelm and Peter for him. Thank God. He let out a sigh of relief and approached, his hand dropping on the new kid's (Benji) shoulder from behind. He smiled again, “Hey, I have a brother I love too. We have something in common – they don't have brothers.” He added with a point to Wilhelm and Peter, “But they have mothers, which means they have something in common. They should talk about mothers while we talk about our brothers.” Ah, yes, John~ He felt so warm when he had a solution! Now everyone would have something to do and not be interrupted by anything~ Good!

Of course Icis was a bit distraught that one girl had decided to leave after saying such a... Strange thing... But, oh well, the other girl had now addressed her, making the situation fine. The brunette smiled at Lyra with brightly, "Great!" Her voice was extra peppy since of course she was in the middle of talking to a cutey! Though... There was this boy trying to get in her way... The girl made sure to stare him down as he arrived. Boys were always so annoying, and this girl seemed to share similar sentiment! "Nothing~" Icis let out after being addressed again. This girl was smart! Obviously she was more important to talk to. After all, the brunette was great! She was pretty, and smart, and athletic, and perfect, and this girl could see it! And not only that, she was cute! Too frickin' cute! Just look at that hair! The color, tied in pigtails, everything screamed adorable. Icis could feel herself daze out. However, she snapped out of it before she started drooling. Her only un-lady-like triat. And with her focus back she returned back to her over powering self. She immediately grabbed onto Lyra's arms, pulling them apart and in front of her so Icis could hold her hands. Icis giggled, a seemingly harmless one, but one of the thought of easily overpowering the girl, "I'm new, I would love to be your friend!"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Across the classroom, little Skyla remained silently seated. Her cheeks were puffed out because of frustration. Dolce was being mean after all! She hated mean people. But, before she could slip into her own mental melodrama, her ultimate distraction entered the room. Immediately after spotting Brooke, the girl sprang from her seat, making a loud screeching sound (the chair). She scurried as fast as her little legs could take her to her second cousin. And when she was in ranged, wrapped her arms around the dark haired girls neck. A morning ritual. No matter how little time they were apart, Skyla was always overjoyed to see her again. The blonde snuggled her head next to Brooke's. "Brooke..." She said silently, nothing more. She was never one for words after all.

Wilhelm pausing and calming down for a split second was indeed something rare, but Peter wasn't the one to appreciate it. He wasn't a very intelligent person to begin with -- no, genetics had made sure that that would never be the case -- so whatever brain power he had at his disposal was usually used up in trying to keep up with his best friend. It was like exercise, for his brain! But not the good kind of exercise that makes you trim and healthy and strong, the kind of exercise that left you even more tired than before. So he just didn't have the mental capacity to register that something rare had happened. "Hahah, that'd be weird," he chuckled dimly. Wilhelm, repeating eighth grade! Maybe Judith had failed him without him knowing! ...No, even he couldn't joke about that. That was too real, too dark, of a reality. It wasn't a joking matter at all.
When Wilhelm brought up Erika, he shifted uncomfortably in his seat and his vague smile disappeared. He knew exactly what waiter he was talking about! ...Not that he had ever looked at him like that, no way, he just happened to see him in passing one time and thought he had nice hair... and a nice face... and nice a lot of things. But it was just a coincidence, and not like he had gone out of his way to see the guy that his friend sometimes mentioned... "No way!" he sat up straight and declared loudly. Upon realizing how loud that had come out, he glanced around uncomfortably, then readjusted his volume. "Erika wouldn't do something like that. She probably just overslept!" How could Wilhelm even accuse her of something so... disgusting? Weren't they friends? Classmates? It bothered him more than it probably should have, and even though the topic had ended and Wilhelm was now discussing lunch plans, he couldn't help but feel his mood dampen slightly. It was a temporary dilemma, but really, he wasn't even sure if he could share his once-in-a-lifetime lunch with his best friend! ...That was a lie, of course. "Sure!" he chirped, bouncing right back. He couldn't stay annoyed with Wilhelm! He was his best friend! "It's not that bad, though, I promise..." His voice trailed off as an older boy let out a loud cry then came over to return Wilhelm's paper bag, though Peter didn't know that. He had been wrapped up in his thoughts and had failed to notice Wilhelm throw the bag away, so as far as he was concerned, Benji was just handing Wilhelm a random paper bag. And there was no possible situation that he could come up with that would explain it, so he just stared at the boy with wide eyes. He was new, and older too, which just made it worse. "...Hello," he finally willed himself to speak, just as John appeared. And yet Erika still wasn't here. ...How disappointing...
---
One of things about being Jeremy was that life was full of surprises. Nothing was predictable, and he was silly for thinking that he could ever try to guess what was going to happen. Some days, he'd think he'd just have a normal day playing with his legos, but then he'd return home to find that River had filled his entire bedroom with sheet forts. It happened a lot more often than he thought it would. So when Mimi burst into the classroom and barreled into him, he understood that it really was his mistake for expecting anything different. "Eh heh," he giggled as he was tackled to the floor by his red haired friend. Wasn't any worse than when he played with River. And he continued to giggle to himself as Mimi ruffled his hair, punctuated by a small "Oof," as she used him as a human launch pad. While Mimi called at Miah, he rolled onto his stomach and pushed himself up, patting down his hair and readjusting his backpack straps. "Mimi!" he greeted her. "I was waiting," he smiled widely up at his friend. "Mimi, look what I brought," he tugged at her sleeve to get her attention, but didn't bother to check if she was actually paying attention. Instead, he tried to wrestle his backpack off his back, and after some awkward wiggling, it fell with a loud thud on the floor next to him, and he crouched down to unzip it. Pulling out a picture book, he held it over his head like a trophy. "Mimi, can you read? It's a good book, you should read it."
---
"NOOOOOOOOOOO---!!!" A loud shrill scream cut through the chilly autumn morning air as a squad of NPC servants marched up to the school doors. In the middle of the pack was the littlest Sonata, January, dangling from her arms as the largest of the servants held her out away from himself by her wrists. And for good reason, too. The little girl kicked and thrashed as she threw a mid-air temper tantrum. Not one of her best, but decently violent, and one of the servants just barely ducked in time as one of her shoes went flying off her foot . "I don't want to goooo...!" she sobbed, finally going slack. Her stupid mother! Ruining everything for her! She didn't want to go to school, but her mother had said that it was important that she make friends and learn things and be normal. She didn't want to be normal, if being normal meant she had to spend her day with poor people and Lilia. "I... want... to stay... with... Ferdinandooo," she continued to cry, though it was more whining than producing actual tears. The servants had all been warned by Shinju, who had a headache and just didn't have the patience to deal with her that morning, to not give in, so they carried the upset child to the door of the classroom, set her down, then left as fast as their servant legs could carry them. And considering they worked for the Sonata's, it was considerably fast. And so January was left to stand by herself in the doorway, clutching her shoe, crying, and mumbling about Ferdinando under her breath.

When Peter jumped up of his chair like that, it was enough to startle Wilhelm. As much as Wilhelm calming down for a second was something rare, Peter getting exited was just as rare. However, unlike his friend, Wilhelm did take notion of it…. For about half a second before completely forgetting about it. It’s not like it was anything really, really important, like…. Like… Well, he didn’t know, but it wasn’t important and that was all that mattered. What was important was that Erika was a dirty whore who’d be the next pregger teen had over slept, and an oversleeping Erika meant more Peter time for Wilhelm! She should oversleep more often! He could never have enough Peter in his life! Or John! But John wasn’t there yet, so for now, he could concentrate all of his attention on his blonde friend! Well… one of them, since both of his best friend were blonde… maybe there was a patern there… maybe.
”YEAH! You’re right! She probably just overslept! No wonder she failed last year! Not like we’d do that!” He laughs at it, forgetting that a mere minute ago, he was shivering at the very same thought. Oh yes, Wilhelm’s memory was quite selective. Why remembering events that didn’t give him an advantage in life? That just didn’t make any sense! So, selective memory it was! He flashed Peter one of his large bright smile, bright due to the fact he brushed his teeth five times a day ever since his mommy had told him that your teeth became yellow due to little bacteria’s peeing on them, quite a horrible thought, and put his left hand on Peter’s shoulder, mimicking the boy’s previous move. ”You’re still taking the first bite. I trust you, it’s your mom I don’t trust.” He went to make a comment about how he had never seen his mother eat anything that wasn’t a TV dinner before, when a boy approached them, holding in his hand… Wilhelm’s lunch bag? How did that… Oh! Right! He had thrown it over his shoulder. Selective Memory, again.
”Oh! Hi! Thankyou! I sort of lost it earlier and OH MY GOD JOHN!” At that very moment, he stopped caring for the other boy, whom he had never seen before, in favour of someone much more important, John. Without wasting a moment, he quickly got up from his chair and gave the…. Much taller –how many inches had he gain in the last week?- boy the same glomp-welcome he had given Peter earlier. Hey! No jealous! Everyone got glomps from Wilhelm! He just loved to share his love and friendship like that! ”Hi JOHN! HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? HOW’S SUMMER ?YOU DIDN’T GET LOST TO COME TO SCHOOL DID YOU? IT’S ALSMOST TIME FOR CLASS. WHY DIDN’T YOU GET HERE SOONER? DIDN’T YOU MISS ME? I MEAN US? No… I MEAN ME. Then again we saw each other last week…. THAT’S LIKE FOREVER AGO. YOU SIT NEXT TO ME. YOU ON ONE SIDE AND PETER ON THE OTHER I JUST LVOE BEING IN BETWEENYOU.” Stop. Breath. ”How’ve you been?” And just like that, as if he hadn’t just summon the energy of three nuclear powerplant (Chernobyl had nothing on him), he sat back down to his desk and resumed his attention on the new boy.
”So, uh, yeah! YEAH! Lunchbox! Thank you! You’re new, right? Or are you a kid who changed a lot over summer? I don’t think you are! I’m Wilhelm, by the way! But it’s a mouthful, so call me Wil. Blonde boy totally standing like three feet above you is John”, he said as he pointed toward his cousin. Sure, John ‘only’ was six foot or so, but next to everyone else in the class, he still looked like a giant compared to them ”Say hi John”, he told his cousin. Sometimes, telling him what to do saved a lot of times, and he always seemed to be happy to be ordered around so cute, so it was alright. “And blonde with glasses sitting next to me is Peter. You don’t need to say Peter, you already said Hi. So, what’s your name?”

Xochiquetzal had appeared at school that day, dressed in her normal everyday clothes because.. well.. she didn't change her clothes. Ever. It was a wonder they were clean, but Xochiquetzal was used to being a wonder – people staring, odd behavior towards her.. It was all normal for Xochiquetzal and she never had a comment on it beyond a shrug. She wasn't questioning the reality of her own awe – not to say she was egotistical. Xochiquetzal just understood how things were and she just happened to be a superior being who was destined to be the Goddess's vessel, as her mother had told her for over a decade now. She didn't care, though, and, even lower on her list of things she didn't care about, was school. What was the point of studying when she knew what she would be? She frowned on such wasted efforts, especially when she could be using this valuable time to sleep and communicate with her surrounding spirits.. ...Ah, but she could do that inside the building too. Xochiquetzal walked through the doors quietly, hardly being noticed as she moved by people to get inside her classroom and, then, down the rows of desks to reach her own spot in the back corner. The loud child was there and so was the annoying one, but she was fine with that for, in two seconds tops, Xochiquetzal had her head down on her desk and was sleeping as deeply as can be.

xxxBenji Gallus xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ✗xxx"And I wish that plant life would grow all around me..."➸ Benji watched the complex and strange social patterns of these boys with wide eyes. He hadn't known how to respond as the blonde one looked at him like a complete stranger - which he was - and the other one seemed to ignore him for a bit as he directed his attention to the other boy who had come. John, his name appeared to be, seemed the friendliest and most easy to approach. Benji would describe him as calm, mature and level-headed based on their first meeting, with a hint of friendliness. Yet, as Benji was about to take up John on his comment of brothers, the one named Wil overpowered all else.
In all honesty, Wil frightened Ben a bit. If life on the street hadn't broken Benji down completely, this energetic young lad would with his loud voice and overbearing need for attention. This may have been wrong, Ben realized, as he hardly knew the man but first impressions were sometimes hard to remove.
Finally, as the boy took a break to ask Ben his name, the boy was slightly hesitant to reply, "Benji, but um, just call me Ben." He wasn't sure what to add. He was an awkward child after all - not only in his lanky appearance but in his unsure way of interacting with people. He thought maybe clearing up the 'new kid' or 'changed kid' would be the best way to approach the issue, "But yeah, I'm new. Just moved in really. I live with my brother, Gabe or really Gabriel. He um- works. Not sure where but he gets us food and stuff so that's good, right?" He paused, eyeing each of the boys equally as if hoping for a look of approval. "...So I won't feel dead anymore."xx ___________________________________________________________________✗ OOC:

Once the shark was blown up and in the air, Brian found that he was outrageously bored. Where was the teacher?! She should be here so he could show it off! But, the woman was nowhere to be found – Brian and all the kids were unattended. Well, he guessed it was alright that he threw out all of his school junk in favor of filling his backpack up with legos. ..Still. He puffed one cheek out as he twirled the little joystick on his remote control, watching the shark bump into the ceiling repeatedly because he had no clue what he was doing. His eyes scanned the right side of the room – no one interesting. Just some sleeping, creepy girl, a couple of chatting kids, and a window. He deflated his cheek with a puff, shifting his eyes to the left as he twirled the joystick counterclockwise, making the remote-controlled inflatable shark do the same action, but with the nose tilted a little more up than before.
..Aha! There! A crying girl! That made everything less boring! He smiled again as he took his remote and hurried between desks towards the front of the classroom where January stood. He stood a few feet from her, leaned over, and waved the remote in her face, “Hey, look at what I have!” He said in a teasing tone, “A super-cool-awesome-fantastic-manly remote! See? See? I have it and you don't!”

...Lilia wasn't sure why, but, for whatever reason, she wasn't being kicked out of the classroom. This should be taken as a good thing, but Lilia enjoyed being able to show off how mature she was and, certainly, if the teacher made a big deal about her being there, then the entire teenaged group of boys would notice her and start to fall head over heels like they should be! She creased her brow and combed her fingers through her gloriously soft and tamed blond locks once again, but everyone seemed to have their attention on some white-haired boy. She pursed her lips and crossed her arms at that recognition, wondering why everyone seemed to gravitate towards him and not her. Lilia was definitely prettier! And cuter. And better at everything. Watching him with dark eyes from 'her' desk, the girl suddenly turned towards a nearby boy (Styde) and snapped, “Who is he?” She jutted a hand out towards the white-haired boy – he did look pretty familiar.. in an annoying way.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Just when John was worried that he wasn't going to be accepted into their little group (which is why he had been attempting to divert the new kid's attention to some corner of the classroom with him instead), Wilhelm spotted him once again and reminded him that he hadn't worn out his use just yet. He smiled at that thought, liking the idea that he was still useful after so many years of living. He was sure when he was five that he wouldn't make it past eight, but here he was – sixteen! ….Or seventeen.. or was he fifteen..? Ah, John forgot. Oh, well, he was some age that was higher than he expected to be at. He missed most of what Wilhelm said, hardly noticing the glomp because, well, Wilhelm was pretty light compared to the hugs he was used to – he barely budged! “'Kay. Good.” He answered simply as he sat down where he was told, still smiling in that simple, happy way.
He looked at Benji – or Ben – and waved a hand when he was further instructed to, “Hi.” ..Ah, wait.. was he supposed to say hi to Benji or to Peter – or even to Wil?! Ah, he wished Wilhelm was more specific with his instructions; it got confusing! He looked over to Peter just in case and waved at him, then off to Wilhelm next before he looked back to Benji. There, he was sure to get that all right there. He nodded at Benji after he stopped talking, a rare certainty on his features as he answered his question, “Yes, it's good!” Because having food was always good! He still remembered every occurrence when dad had forgotten to feed him – they gave him nightmares. He pushed those memories away so he could return into his state of bliss and let Wilhelm do some – or all – of the talking. He was good at that.

⚓ Brody • Kyle • O'Ballivan "Yeah. Bumblebee's pretty cool too. Mommy's brother has a car that looks just like him! My Uncle's the coolest." Not realizing he was bragging Brody kept rambling. It was funny that children could brag and it was acceptable because they were adorable. Or at least that's what his Auntie said sometimes. "It would be fun to climb all over the place, but it would be fun to fly all over too, just like SUPERMAN!" Brody was rather enthusiastic about his superhero's. His favorite one though he wouldn't tell her about because she wouldn't think he was a hero. But no one could discourage Brody's thoughts when it came to hero's, and Tate was this munchkins hero. "Maybe when you come over we can catch frogs and play with Nala and Simba and Kenney, and Chloe!" Making a face Brody remembered how he had tried to play with frogs and Simba together last time - it hadn't gone very well. "Well before we play with them. Simba likes to chase frogs, and he's fast." When she talked about her other Daddy he stopped swinging his for a minute or two. She sounded really sad. "I'm sorry you're other Daddy's lost. But at least you can cheer up your Daddy when he get's sad. Then you can be happy together!" He started to swing his feet again once he decided everyone would be happy again. "That's cool about him teaching you another language, Daddy says word in other languages sometimes but he says I can't repeat them because they are bad. It's funny if I repeat them in front of my Mommy." With a big smile that only little boys can pull off he thought about the brownies that would be at home when he got there. Hopefully Daddy didn't bake again. He had begged last time for him not to do that again. Even the dogs wouldn't go near them. When Lily said something about all the people he looked around. "Wow there's more people in here then before! It's good we got our seats together. And the start of the day must be soon. Maybe the teacher's on her way in?" He stopped swinging his feet for a minute while pondering that and then started up again. No one could stop him from swinging his feet, it was fun~

Mornings at school were so… Late. She had tried numerous times to move the start of class at 5 in the morning, but it had been proven that students were mindless idiots at that time of the day. Or, well, more than usual. Not that they were anything worthy of being respected, unless of course it was Quentin or Ray, but both had graduated by now. All that there was left were the… humanity trash. Sometimes, it felt like a waste of time to even put some efforts on them, but then she’d remember that without the educations that they’d receive, they’d be even worst and even janitors needed some basic knowledge and god knew that she needed a janitor. Students in detentions weren’t the best when it came to clean, but until someone would actually apply for the janitor post, she would have to keep making them do it.
As the principal walked down the halls from her office toward the cafeteria to get her seventy fifth coffee of the day (and it wasn’t even 8am yet) when she heard something annoying, and that something was noise. Noise made by students who obviously weren’t studying. She took a peek in the older children’s classroom. It wasn’t any surprise that her grandson was the loudest of them all, but it did surprise her that Camelia didn’t start teaching yet. She looked around, quickly spotting the woman. ”Miss Gray. You aren’t being paid to have your student talk to each other. Teach them something useful for once.” She told her with a voice loud enough for the kids to know that she was there and she was being serious when she was saying that they needed to learn something. Especially Catrina (who wasn’t there, not surprisingly) who needed to finally pass 9th grade. She left the room as quickly as she had came in and kept walking down the hall, still wanting her new cup of coffee, when she heard, you would have guessed it, more noises.
With a sigh, she opened the door of the youngest kids’ classroom. Monsters. all of them. She had no idea why she hadn’t fire Gemma yet. She obviously couldn’t control her class and Judith did have some doubts on her teaching capacity. If it wasn’t for the lack of teachers and her good resume… She looked around the classroom trying to figure out where the woman was and, with her third sigh of the day, realize that she just wasn’t there. Late for work? On her first day of school? Unacceptable. Judith entered the classroom, shutting the door behind her in a loud bang in order to get every child’s attention. ”Sit down! All of you! For those who don’t know me, I am Judith Cunningham, or Mrs. Cunningham for you, your principal. I am the one who rules over your fate in this school so you better all listen. It would seem like your teacher is late for her first day of class. Be sure to lecture her on her responsabilities and being punctual when you see her. For now, I’ll be the one teaching you all.” She walked to the teacher’s desk, grabbed a text book and quickly looked through it. Easy, easy, easy, they should already know that, easy, easy, oh! Here’s a good one. ”Who can tell me the names and capitals of all the chinese’s provinces?” She asked, glaring at the whole class, trying to find the weakest link in it as she paced up and down between the rows. Finally, she stopped next to Brooke and hit her lightly on the head with the text book. ”You, the one with the stupid face. Answer.”

Yue had already been sitting when Judith came in, so instead of scurrying to her seat like her siblings had done, she instead straightened up. This was the principal. This wasn't some silly elementary school teacher, this was the woman in charge! ...Woman in charge. What a nice phrase that was. But that wasn't important. What was important was that this was her chance. She was tired of being in the baby class. She wanted to be in the other class with the smart, mature kids! And so, when Judith posed a question about Chinese geography, the girl's heart soared. Yes! And advantage! Almost as soon as the words had left the woman's mouth, Yue's hand shot up straight in the air, and it stayed there, even though the principal had called on Brooke. She had her arm in the air so intently, she was on the verge of standing from her seat. And she'd stay like that, until Judith gave her a chance to shine~

Peter couldn't blame Wilhelm for being apprhensive about the food his mother had packed him. It would have been nice if he had understood that it was fine, but Kotone didn't have a very standing amongst his friends or his friends' parents. Of course they would be hesitant. "Deal," he nodded, putting his lunch bag away beneath his desk and crossing his arms neatly on his desk. John was always a distraction for Wilhelm, and although Peter had to admit he was a little jealous that his best friend's attention was so divided, he was pretty used to it, and so he just smiled politely up at the blonde boy. They were cousins, and there wasn't anything he could do to change that. More than anything, it was Benji that was new. "Wow, you live with your brother?" he marveled at the new, awkward addition. That was so different! It was a weird thought to live just with Skyla without his parents around. Oh, but before she had gotten married, his mother had lived her sibling, so maybe it wasn't that uncommon... It was still difficult for him to imagine, and he stared up at Benji, pausing only once to push his glasses back up his nose. Of course, when Judith popped in to chastise the teacher, he shifted uncomfortably in his seat. He wasn't talking, but he still felt guilty for some reason.
---
January was enjoying herself quite a bit, standing in the middle of the classroom, making noise, pretending to cry. Her crocodile tears vanished immediately when a remote appeared in her face. She stared at it for a moment, her eyes adjusting to it being so close, and then she looked at the boy who was holding it, Brian. She had completely forgotten about the temper tantrum she was having. "Give it to me," she commanded, holding out her hand, wholeheartedly expecting him to just place it into the palm of her hand. "I want it. Give to me." Of course, she didn't have time to wait for Brian to give her his remote, because soon Judith came in. January was a handful at the best of times, but she understood what was a useless fight when she saw it. So, with a huff, she crossed her arms and frowned at the boy taunting her. "But I don't want yours. My daddy'll buy me a hundred, and they'll be better." Feeling very smug, she stomped off to a seat far away from Lilia.

While Benji got to know Wilhelm and Peter – which was very important to John because he knew that Wilhelm and Peter were both very good friends to have. John was a lousy one, really, and he knew that, even if he tried really, really hard to be interesting, he would end up boring a stranger. So, he didn't try to do any more than help – which he felt that he had that morning by introducing Benji to Wilhelm and Peter! ..Well.. no, he actually.. hadn't; Benji had done that on his own before John had come in.. Ah, but he had helped Wilhelm by sitting down next to him so he would have more privacy! ..No, wait, then John could see what Wilhelm was doing at an even closer range.. and then he had probably distract Wilhelm by being there from Peter and Benji.. He frowned – the desk chair was.. being warmed..? ..But he weighed a lot and he was sure it wouldn't like being sat on if it could talk.. ..Well. John hadn't done anything beneficial, had he? In fact, it seemed like he was still burdening everyone! Oh, bother, John was just going to have to make it up somehow! He wasn't sure how, but.. He winced slightly as he saw the principal come in; his thinking was even ruining the teacher's day! Ahh, he would have to apologize to her after class or else who knows what Ms. Grey would have to go through because of John! For now, he sat and tried to look attentive to the woman, but, not wanting to seem like he was ignoring Wilhelm and the others, he kept glancing off to them to make sure they didn't need him.

Before her original target could answer her as to who the white-haired boy was, their classroom time was interrupted by the principal herself. Lilia frowned as the woman opened the door and barked an order off to the teacher, oddly being reminding of her own family lifestyle – albeit, she would be ordering rather than watching some ugly, old crone do it. The girl swept some of her hair behind her shoulder as she straightened up into her usual poster, chest out proudly and only semi-attentive to what the teacher had to say. She didn't know or care who Ms. Grey was – she was only here to be a part of all the teenagers like she should be. And to be away from January and Ferdinando – they were both so wishy-washy that it wasn't unheard of for them to pop in randomly during class when she was sure she was free of both. But, it would be nice to make sure that the woman understood by her stance who she was and why she should be overlooked. Of course Ms. Grey would recognize Lilia as the Lilia Sonata, but she was certain she wouldn't kick her out! Pft, it was impossible anyone could do so.

Unfortunately for Miah – who would probably be so, so, SO disappointed that she hadn't paid attention well enough to hear Mimi's chatter – Mimi's chatter was such fun! – Mimi was left to quiet as another woman came into the room. She had already turned to take the picture book Jeremy was trying to show her into her hands, flipping the page as fast as she could as soon as she realized it could make such a nice fan! Not that they need a fan on a windy day like Fall always brought, but she may need one in the future so it was good to know how useful books could be! She was about to tell Jeremy about this discovery and then assure him she knew how to read SO good because she liked reading her daddy's articles even if she didn't always understand them when she turned at the sound of the door. An imposing force had entered the classroom and Mimi's eyes had grown WIDE at the sight. Principal Judy! She ran to her desk at lightning speed and immediately stuck her hand in the air, waving it around like a wriggly worm to get the 'teacher's attention.

Ah~! Brian smiled widely as January perked up immediately, happy that she didn't act like a complete stupid girl and cry louder. He hated it when the other kids did that! They obviously were just trying to get him in trouble and weren't upset at all! But the girl he stood infront of actually responded without a tear! He would, of course, have continued the taunting, ready to make some new, gross faces and wave the remote some more, but then the principal had walked in and a cloud of impending doom washed over the once vibrant classroom. In the background, his balloon-shark had suddenly deflated with a loud screeching noise, zipping to the ground sadly. Logic would tell the little boy that he hadn't set his toy up right and that was why it did that, but Brian didn't understand logic yet and, heck, even his dad would probably have agreed it was the grand amount of evil that the woman emitted that had done this. Brian liked teasing and pulling pranks, but.. he didn't want to die! So, he hurriedly scampered away from January without a word and went to a different desk than he had, dropping the remote as he went. He didn't want to get caught with it!
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Even in the bathroom of the school, Vi had felt a sudden shiver and immediately realized that she wasn't in her classroom when it had certainly begun! The girl sucked in a sharp breath and, with one last tug at her pale yellow bow, she hurried out of the restroom and off into her classroom. She lingered at the door, peeking in from the small window there to watch the teacher who.. wasn't her teacher.. Where was Gemma? She liked Gemma.. this woman.. this.. principal lady.. She pursed her lips and sounded in surprise as Brooke had a book slammed atop her head! ..She loved this lady! ♥ She acted just like daddy! She smiled and opened the door up as quietly as she could, walking over to her desk to sit down hopefully unnoticed. Gemma never was very mean when she was late, so she wasn't too worried. She was certain that the new teacher would just ignore her! Just like daddy did! She waved her legs slightly underneath the desk and went to getting her backpack off and onto the ground beside her.

Xochiquetzal hadn't changed at all from when Judith entered the room to now. In fact, all she had done was smile slightly in her sleep as a very comfortable aura had slipped into the room, soothing the loud, vibrant feelings into something more subdued and calming. She turned her head on her desk and continued to drift comfortably in sleep, her arms folded underneath her head to act as a pillow.

xxxBenji Gallus xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ✗xxx"And I wish that plant life would grow all around me..."➸ Benji was glad to be accepted by the boys. Perhaps this place wouldn't be so bad after-all. That was until the old lady at the front condemned them for their chatter. To be honest, Benji hadn't even noticed the class had started and found himself with a clumsy rush, getting his books on his desk and trying to organize his thoughts, that, and tried to hide his face from the mean hag of a woman who admitted to basically being leader over the school. All Benji knew is that he was thankful to be in his last year.
Finally calming down, he managed a quick peek over to Peter. Benji just had to give him an answer, although he lacked the confidence to talk again. So instead of simply waiting, the young boy scribbed an anwer back on a little piece of paper reading:
Ya. Just me and him. Parents dead.
It was short but to the point. He hoped it wouldn't stir anymore conversation. Getting in trouble on his first day was the last thing he wanted to do or any day for the matter. Benji was a bit of chicken in that sense. Rules were meant to be followed and to be subjected to public embarressment by a teacher or adult was basically the end of life.
