"A trade for a trade." Jada decided, and grinned at her purple-haired friend. "I help you with your language/literature/whatever, and you teach me how to not burn my house down when I want to heat something."
Jada was totally getting the better deal on that.
The two of them were lugging bags down the sidewalk, taking up nearly the whole width. Jada had actually gotten so much she was waddling a little bit, and her fingers were going numb. And they still hadn't eaten! But Jada was NOT going to go to a restaurant with all this stuff on-hand. She couldn't imagine trying to fit in the doors, much less stand in a line for fast food.
"We should drop this at my place, and then either go out to eat, or you can give me my first cooking lesson. We'd have to go by the grocery though. Then again, I don't even want to eat at my own place. What about yours? As for knowing how to cook, that is why you have backup. Cookie used to get sick, but that was why we had other people who knew how to cook on staff."
Their bags were bumping together, and they waddled down the sidewalk, hugging.
People got out of their way.
"My mother is batty. But she'll only cry if I come home and the hubby doesn't have a title. She wanted me to marry Will, but we all know he ended up with Kate. I think for Kayley it will be Duchess or bust."

Oh Jada, Jada... One could take the luxury from the girl, but you couldn't take the girl out of luxury. Or something like that.
She still found the idea of depending on others to such an extend silly. Who knew, maybe she'd manage to convince the black-haired girl otherwise ?
Ha. She'lld probably eradicate the senshi menace by her lonesome first before she accomplished that.
"...No, really, she's nuts." Was all she could say to the title comment. In a way, Ashley couldn't help but be thankful she had never met the woman - she had the feeling she would start feeling inferior VERY quickly.
And people could stare all they wanted. Ashley Desmond did not give a ********, flying or otherwise. Jada was one of the last links that she had to normality, and she would not allow it to be broken.
She needed to remember what it was to be a normal girl, every now and then. "Let's get you started, my student. We'll just make sure the fire extinguisher is good first."
Hey, one needed to be careful.

"Oh, I know." Szelem had a way with poorer people that left them feeling inferior and filled with hate. Rich men were the best off, unless the money came from the wife. The rich women were quite well off. "Totally nutters."
Stumbling alongside Ashley, Jada managed to pipe, "My fire extinguisher doesn't work anymore."
Ashley's house it would be.
Jada looked forward to her first cooking lesson- she'd never exactly been welcome in Fallon's kitchen, and she didn't blame her friend.
