Victor would feel like he was forgeting something but he shook his head and the feeling whent away. Athena looked confused as the wigglytuff did not move then she saw the pokemon's eyes glowing blue a tell tell sign of the move disable. "Its weaker so maybe this would be a good time to catch it or should I try another attack, hmm ok I know what I am going to do," Athena took a pokeball from her belt and tossed it at the wigglytuff, since she was behind the wigglytuff the ball smaked it in the back of the head, a red light would envolpe the pokemon and begin to shake wildly, but as it would shutter more than tree times Athena began to wonder if she had made the right move because if she hadnt then she would be down one pokeball

The pokemon hadn't thought he would be so easily found. His leaves looked like any other in the forest, but somehow ....she managed to find him even among all the foliage. The pokemon hunker underneath the leaves as his eyes went round just a bit at the fact that she had so easily spot him, but then they turned to glee.
Afterall, he wanted to test the strangeness of the girl and the best way to do that was with an all and out charge as he lower his head and went straight for a tackle. The Cherubi had every plan of quite literally running his opponent over ...as Jasmine would find that weak and peaceful looking pokemon turning into a much more savage monster.
For a pokemon knew, the best way to find out about their opponent is in a battle.

The sound of the poof would be the only sound that warn as the pokeball burst open. One half would hit against a tree, the other half was smushed into the ground underneath his feet. His ears were down ...as his whiskers twitches madly. He wasn't going to go down ...he wasn't going to go down ...he thoughts had been enough to get him free, and now, he was anger as his eyes fell on the trainer.
He had forgotten what wicked creatures they are. How they can hide behind their pokemon and then work with them to help make all his efforts worthless. He had forgotten in the wake of it all, but he was remembering now. He was remembering and he wasn't happy.
He wouldn't be captured ..not this time. He stood ready this time.

[If I remember right you can counter attack on the defensive turn] Athena sighed as the ball bursted. Victor had ran to stand between Athena and his foe. "Victor I want you to watch him and vine whip" Victor nodded, Athena hadnt steered him wrong yet. Victor watched and focused on the angry wigglytuff as it stared down Athena, and he felt her flinch. Victor thought the girl insane but he would still protect her. As the wigglytuff did nothing, Victor would get a forboding

::Jasmine hadn't expected to be lead hand in hand by the pokémon, but, there was a second as she saw the Cherubi literally fall from the tree, heading headlong for her, she'd have thought it had fallen by accident, but she saw it's expression::
::Battle was joined, she grabbed her crutch, she grabbed her pokéball, then suddenly tossed Lindbergh's pokéball up, before swinging her crutch and firing the ball up into the air, passing the Cherubi as it fell!::
Lindbergh, it's time!
Starter Pokemon: Gligar [F] Name & Level: Lindbergh, Lvl 2 [Temperament] Careful Stats: Hp: 15 Pp: 16 Att: 8 Def: 9 Spd: 9 Sp Att: 6 Sp Def: 8 Moves: Poison Sting, Agility Exp: 46/100
::The ball burst open... and if the Cherubi looked up mid-fall, it would see the unfolding form that swung open bat-like wings, the claws, the fangs, the stinging tail, it was out of reach, but it seemed Lindbergh wasn't about to simply just hide while he attacked the girl!::
::She swooped, twirling and looking to ram the Cherubi into the treebark, stinger out and plunging into the soft red skin of the creature as a sudden deterrant!:: Gli-GLIGAR!? [No-one tell you not to pick on cripples?!]
::They'd already seen Lindbergh was fast, but could she catch the pokémon mid-fall with this counter-attack? Or would it instead leave Jasmine wide open to attack!?::
::The girl had grabbed the ball, but she held her crutch up defensively, awaiting the best she could to cover from the Cherubi rushing towards her!::
[ROLL 1, Lindbergh's counter-attack, ROLL 2, Jasmine]
((EDIT: >_> Oh, wow, another one shot?))
[17+8] - [4+6] = 15 CHERUBI = -1 HP

King Lancer [If I remember correctly we can counter attack on our defensive turn if I am wrong I will edit] Athena sighed as the ball bursted. Victor had ran to stand between Athena and his foe. "Victor I want you to keep an eye on the pokemon and counter with a vine whip, when he is to close to dodge." Victor nodded, Athena hadnt steered him wrong yet. Victor watched the angry wigglytuff as it stared down Athena, and he felt her flinch. Victor thought the girl insane but he would still protect her((Ah, yes you can counter attack, but you forgot one important fact. Pokeballs can be thrown as many times as you wish, but, the moment your pokemon attacks ...the battle continues. Right now, you need to attack the Wigglytuff in order for the battle to continue ..., because both are currently on the defensive ....the Wigglytuff on guard for another pokeball to be thrown, and currently your Bellsprout standing inbetween the two. Though it's still your attack turn.))

The Cherubi never knew what hit him ...as he hit the tree hard. His side buried in the bark as he tries to look to his side, and only the pokemon's shadow came into view. The darkness of his skin ....was actually camoflagued by the darkness of the night.... Though the Cherubi had other things to worry about then whom this was as he would suddenly feel that stinger in his soft body. It plunge deep enough and went in straight as fear overlapped any other senses .....this Cherubi was deadly afraid of needle.
And with that pain, he would actually faint. His eyes rolling back in his head as he never heard the threat of the Gligar ...only slipped into passed out. THe pokemon would lay on his side with his eyes rolling the moment he had been released. At least he was still alive, was probably the best analysis of this situation ...but the defeat itself was a tad shameful for he had been crushed in a single move.

::Jasmine slowly relaxed, as the two had plunged into the tree, when everything went quiet... the battle was over in one move, once again... but as she waited, a more urgent thought went through her head, what if it was Lindbergh who had came out the runner up this time?::
Lindbergh?
::She waited tensely again for a moment, until finally, a face prodded out of the cover of leaves with tongue sticking out at her::
Gli? [You rang?]
::Jasmine let out a grateful sigh, with crutch settled back on the ground she looked up to the pokémon now prowling amid the foliage:: How is the Cherubi?
::Lindbergh snorted, if she could have stuck her tongue out further in disgust she would have, both at the disappointing battle, as well as the girl's soft and addlemindedness... first burying a fossil, now worrying about the cherrypie?:: [Looks ready for a dollop of cream and an oven!]
::Jasmine had to admit a little frustration at not being able to understand what was said, but tone said a little more than anything else right now... and right now, she didn't have time for arguments...:: Bring the Cherubi down so I can make sure it's alright... then we need to look for Amber... this tree looks like a good spot.
::A single claw prodded out of the leaves, and although it lacked the extra digits, the rude gesture was certainly not lost in translation::
::Jasmine scowled, calling up:: I don't think it's at all over-presumptuous to ask your assistance in the matter, considering this is our first assignment!
[Nononono!] ::A head popped out, danging by two claws as Lindbergh yelled downward, spitting and hissing as she did, their little display on show for the whole forest:: [You mean YOUR assignment!]
[You made a promise to me, I helped you bury the damn Skarmory, I don't gotta do squat except cover your a** when battle time happens! And I'm not doing diddly otherwise, for you or anyone else!]
::As Lindbergh ducked into the tree, Jasmine again was left to play guessing games... she couldn't argue when she didn't know what on earth the Gligar was saying, but it was very adamant, she had to play a careful and logical approach instead:: The faster we're done, the sooner we can be gone, Lindbergh.
Which means less battles for you also.
You can keep an eye on the Cherubi and I can see to finding the amber... but imagine how long that will take me to climb the tree? ::She tapped her crutch against one of the metal braces on her leg::
We need to be methodical on this.
::There was a pause::
...
Lindbergh? ::Jasmine looked again to the foliage, all was quiet... and then suddenly a Cherubi was flying towards her again! She almost went defensive when she noticed the Cherubi was unconscious, Lindbergh had kicked her out of the trees!::
::She dropped her crutch as she grabbed in the air, falling back with a grimace, but safe in her arms she kept the Cherubi there, looking up accusingly to the branches, where a guilty Gligar poked her head, looking so non-chalant::
[Fine, you play nursemaid while I do the work!]
~~~~~
::It was perhaps only five or so minutes later that they worked, Jasmine had taken her time getting back and forth, but she'd made it from the area to the beach and back again, holding a wet rag in hand, turned out her former dress was useful for something at least, she'd soaked it thoroughly and kept it shaded, before dangling it above the unconscious Cherubi, fixing it to a branch and watching slowly as it dangled and held, the water seeping through and dripping slowly, gently over the Cherubi, the best she could think to bring it back to health until she could find any berries...::
::She sighed and sat herself wearily down next to it, she'd made sure to keep it in sight every time, she wasn't about to have a pokémon preyed upon just because she had knocked it unconscious::
::Two battles, two hits, two wins... Lindbergh was strong, fast, but arrogant. She looked up to the leaves and certainly hoped it wasn't pride before a fall, somewhere up there the Gligar was working...:: Any luck yet?
::The Gligar in question hissed, mimicing the girl's tone and voice childishly in a set of 'Gli's and 'Gar's and variations thereupon, her tail stabbing the woodbark, ploughing in each time and trying to find it... this didn't look like it, more than likely what they were after was in further land, but it was worth checking at least...::
[eh sorry I did forget that, well here goes the second chance at capture] Athena was confused as to why the wigglytuff wasnt attacking. She then wondered if she had weakened him too much. She snaped a second pokeball off her belt and threw it at the wigglytuff with more than a prayer for good luck. The pokemon would be envolped again in a red light and shutter wildly again, Athena was worried she migh have just wasted two pokeballs on one pokemon.
At first, Riku had spent a good amount of time getting kind of lost. Just like the classroom and despite directions this time, it was still a little confusing. She had wandered for awhile, until someone had eventually pointed out the way. After that had happened, she realized it should have been easier to find then expected. Feeling like quite the fool, she had quietly gotten onto the boat and not spoken a word after that. However even after her mistake, her excitement was still building rapidly as they approached the island. It was quite a sight to see and she was ready for whatever challenges awaited her. Hopefully. The boat stopped and she walked on shore. What kind of adventures were awaiting the pair here?
"A chrono stone can be found anywhere the past lingers in the present." she muttered. Maybe it referred to pokemon here. Could it be an ancient pokemon resided somewhere and she had to find it? Or maybe there was an area with fossils around and she would find it there. Regardless, she didn't have time to just stop and think about it. It wasn't helping her and so exploring would probably be the best option.
Ryuu walked at her side, looking at the dirt all around and holding back the urge to sit and stuff his face. It looked so tempting...but he had a job to do. As Riku's Protector, he couldn't let the girl wander on her own. What kind of mischief or trouble could she run into? With a deep sigh, he followed after her looking back at the dirt wistfully once before concentrating on the land in front of him.[[ 1/ 10 ]]
::Things were quiet, Lindbergh was working away and reported back every moment or so with an enthusiastic bout of Gligar swearing Jasmine should have been thankful she could not understand and also that their 'patient' was too knocked out to understand::
::They were having no luck::
::But that hadn't stopped them trying, not to mention had it stopped Jasmine from removing her oversized boots, this was as good a time she'd have to rest her legs as any, but while it may have looked like she wasn't doing anything, or going nowhere fast, she had other plans::
::She had a stick, nothing special, just a stick, currently now carving into the ground, mapping progress, everything she could see of the area...::
::Reasoning said if she had a rough idea in which way to go she would do better than wandering blindly, it was perhaps true to the Tactics class method, but truer tactics may have been to h e asked for a map earlier!::
::She saw thefolley of her earlier question, there was no regrets...::
::However, she had to wonder, the Amber they sought couldn't be just as easily in this area, could it? Had her teacher chosen that because she thought Jasmine wouldn't be able to trek further?::
::The girl felt a little insulted at the idea... craning her head to look through the gaps of the trees... Further insland, she wanted to look and see... Not to mention, there she would likely find more pokemon...::
::She checked again on her charge, making sure the cloth didn't dry out, she wouldn't catch the Cherubi like this, but she hoped at least it would be co-operative for later...::
The pokemon would as she checked on him this time around look with black eyes blinking. He had woken up as he rocks back upon his feet, and looks at Jasmine with big scared and wide eyes. Everyone knew that to be defeated by a human wasn't good, and that they always wanted something from you ....as the Cherubi actually hunkers down.
His memory of what had happen wasn't just a little fuzz, it was completely gone ....as he trembles lightly.
The Wigglytuff didn't even go inside this time as he stuck it out of the air with one paw. His eyes shone ...as he recognized even with his wounds he wasn't going to be captured again ...as the pokeball hit the ground and broke in two. The opening hinge was the part that had been forced apart as the inside mechanism ended up in the grass from the pokemon's hit.
A quick flex of his paws as he smiles brightly. His confidences was getting better with each moment that he survived this attack. His ears flicking from one side to another in his excitement.
he was ready for the next pokeball as he kept his eyes on the trainer and for the moment had forgotten about the pokemon.
Oh, hey. ::Jasmine spoke softly enough as she stopped he map making, sitting back there, he'd see that the poncho she had been wearing before was now laid out on the ground for them both currently::
::She wasn't making any sudden moves as she sat there at least, but she did check the damp rag there above the Cherubi's head::
Sorry for giving you a scare. ::She began, staying still and quiet wasn't much of an exercise for her:: I wanted to make sure you would be awake before me and Lindbergh left, I didn't like the idea of leaving you for the next Spearow that showed up.
::She then nodded upward, where once more the Gligar could be heard, although the translation of the various insults and implications against Jasmine's family tree were far too dirty to be printed:: She'll be down soon, she's busy looking for Amber... But we're not sure if it's here.
Do you know if there is any Amber here, or if we need to keep heading inland?
::...Well, as far as human requests, she was after something, but then again, it was the same thing she had said the first time she spotted him, wasn't it?::
::He had a chance at least to see her now properly and up close, the pale skinned girl in such melancholy black and grey colors of so many color tones it looked like a patchwork uniform::
::Aa pair of glasses and that wide hat completed her ensemble, but in particular now he could see why she walked so strangely, her boots off, her poncho out of the way, her legs were covered in bits of metal, like giant splints::
::She certainly didn't seem threatening, but then again, how quickly had she beaten him so soundly?::
::There was nothing keeping him here, but it seemed up to him what he did now::
