The demon arched a brow as Coralie spoke, attempting for all he was worth to look regal and mildly intimidating. Unfortunately... that was rather hard when when said demon was standing in a hauntingly pink room with a purring cat in his arms. That aside, the fact a smirk was fighting (and winning) his way upon his lips was not helping the matter much, "Ahh... well, point taken, sweetie, but I'm afraid you might have the species wrong. I think I'm more of a serpent than a bear last I checked," he paused and seemed to consider this, "Though I guess the sugary part might be right," the last part was almost thought out loud, rather than spoken consciously. He allowed the griffin access to the cat, though did manage a strong snort as he did so, "I was also very much a male, last I checked, Ren. At least I don't scream like a ghoul..." As the statues moved and spoke, the nix turned his attention over to them. Unfortunately, the outcome of their choice was... most disappointing, "Well," came Gabrian's drawled out voice, "Big load of good that did," his brows were knitted together as he glared up at the statues, though his left hand seemed keen on stroking the small cat in his arms, almost as if the motion were keeping him calm. Turning his attention towards Tybalt, the demon shock his head, "Because fieldtrips in this school can never be a simple business, that's why," that said, he moved around the room, picking up the hats on the floor, looking under them for something they could use to open the door, "I figure that given how things are working out, phasing through might've not been the best of ideas anyhow. They seem to be trying to make our lives... or lack thereof, a difficult task," looking up, he turned towards Jove, "See if you can sniff something out, Jove? I don't think this 'game' is going to work with the normal set of rules. We might as well make use of what we have," even if what they had were... just hats and things lying around.

The clicking sound behind them had Tybalt gritting his teeth together in frustration. Of all the possibilities that could have happened, getting trapped in a pink room with the pig statues was probably the worst.
"There has to be a way out... I don't think they'd just trap us here and leave it at that---or maybe they would..." Thinking about it a little more, it was entirely possible that they would. "Maybe we have to push one of the bricks or something and the door will magically open?" He thought aloud, placing his hands against the brick wall and moving them across the rough surface to test out his little theory. It was silly, but he was grasping at straws here.
The nix boil had already started on the hats, lifting them up to see if he could find anything. He hoped so. This was all making his head hurt.
Suddenly phasing didn't seem like a bad idea...

The brick wall did nothing under Jove, nor did it move when Tybalt felt around the bricks. On the other side of the room under one of the hats that Gabrian picked up was a bunny, but it couldn't be used to open a door. It stared up at him, and then gave it cute bunny eyes. None of the other hats had anything under and there was no key in sight.
Nothing the students did seemed to open the door, but it did seem to bring smiles to the statues. Oh, they'd have company forever! The answer to the puzzle seemed to pass right through the students like the wind, completely oblivious to them. You may as well say it was invisible to them.

Ren had remained quite uncharacteristically quiet for the better part of all this musing. He did not particularly appreciate getting locked in this room from the outside, and it reminded him vaguely of his rather unorthodox childhood.
"This is ridiculous," he grumbled, mostly to himself, though his voice was audible enough to be heard by everyone in the room. "We're supposed to be training - even if we're not so sure what the Jack we're up against - and he were are, playing around with riddles.
Clearly the gryphon was already in a Very Bad Mood. Which just set to irritate him more, since a.) he did not like being in Very Bad Moods, b.) he felt pathetic for not being able to figure out such a simple task like a riddle, and b.) he had the distinct feeling they were getting nowhere fast.
Ren glanced back at Gabrian, who was still holding Coralie's cat in his arms as he went around the room, peering under hats.
One of which had a bunny underneath. Strange...
Sighing, he turned back to the doors, tapping a finger against his chin as he scrutinized them with narrowed eyes.
Then an idea came to him - a wonderful, lovely idea, even if it wouldn't work (at the very least, it would probably cheer him up quite a bit).
"Okay, I've got it," said Ren cheerfully, and marched towards Tybalt, grabbed the black dog, and proceed to try and shove him through the very solid door. "Do that thing where you turn into smoke and go through and unlock it!"
Either it would work, or Tybalt would find himself smushed up against a door. Ren was fine with either option.

The pig statues were silent as Ren grabbed and then attempted to shove Tybalt through the door. Oh dear, that would certainly hurt when he hit the wall. Just what was the gryphon thinking? Fighting amoung the ranks already? However, Tybalt didn't smoosh against the door, in fact, he phased completely through it. Ren's plan had been a success! If Tybalt wishes to reward his team and let them out, the door is his oyster. Despite any thoughts Tybalt may have about ditching Coralie and her cat, he is surely reminded that he can't continue without his team. In the room, the pigs are just sad. They lost a friend who they cannot paint pink now. Quote: OOC: Congratulations! If Tybalt wants to let everyone out by unlocking the door from the other side then he may do so. Upon his opening the door, everyone may leave to the Hub until the next puzzle is ready for them. Please label your posts as (( Exiting )) and (( Entering )) when appropriate.

Tybalt squeaked when Ren began his attempt of shoving him through the wall. To say it wasn't to be unexpected would have beeen a lie, but he really didn't expect it to happen this soon!
"What the hell!? You don't need to sho--eek!" His sentence was cut off by another squeak when the distance between the wall and his face was suddenly gone; resulting in him being forcefully shoved through it instead.
Oh... so phasing was the way to go... He had better not hear the 'I told you so!' speech!
"Damn you Ren!" He growled from the other side of the wall, before reaching back through, only to strike the gryphon over the head and glare at him. "Next obstacle I'm shoving you into!" He snapped and stormed off to unlock the door, releasing the group from captivity.
Tybalt is exiting the room!

As his hand landed on a random hat, Gabrian felt it move slightly, and when he pulled it up... he uncovered a rabbit. Any other time, the demon would have probably paused to pick up the critter and perhaps bring it up to his face for a small nuzzle. Alas, given the properties (and the strange 'inhabitants') of the room, he was obviously cautious, "Well... I've not found anything around here. Except a rabbit," there was an obvious pause as he looked at Ren, "Any other time and I'd find that slightly ironic. Even amusing, given the fact we left a certain lithe rabbit girl back home." Before he had any time to ponder what to do with the rabbit, the griffon had grabbed a hold of the black dog and had dragged him rather forcefully towards the door, "Ren, I-" alas, no words of wisdom were uttered given the fact that just as soon as Tybalt came in contact with the door.... the ghost easily slipped through and unlocked it, "Huh," another pause as Gabrian straightened up, black cat still in his arms, "Would you look at that; turns out I was right all along," he didn't sound smug; in fact, he sounded horribly surprised, almost as if he hadn't really expected the puzzle to have such an obvious solution as the one he'd posed small while back. Taking a moment to offer the witch his arm with a slight smirk, he turned to Ren, "Good job, Ren, but I wager that's not won you any points of frienship, as far as Tybalt's concerned," sure enough, the black dog had reached back to strike the blond boil over the head after unlocking the door, "I'd be careful if I were you," a wink followed his words, and then he offered the griffon his other arm (albeit awkwardly, given the fact he was still carrying the cat), "Don't worry, I'll protect you." And that said, he walked out the door, following Tybalt out into the Unknown~~. << Gabrian is exiting the room! >>

"How rude," said Ren to Tybalt. "After all I did to get us out of here, too. And it worked, didn't it?" he added, with a wink that he knew would irritate the hell out of the black dog.
But then he latched onto Gabrian's arm, grabbed Jove and Coralie, and slipped through the door.

It was a good thing they had found some way through the door, Jove had been about to start kicking things and yanking moustaches! Perhaps it was all the pink that made him so violently irritable.
Either way, he quickly trotted after the others, to see what the next room in this stupid place would torture them with.
((Jove is finally exiting. XD))

The room looks completely different when Group 12 walks back into the room. The ceilings are still low, sitting barely high enough for Gabrian and Ren to stand tall but at least they're not pink anymore! It looks like the pig statues are gone as well. It seems that the entire room, except for the ledge on either ends of the room by the doors, is a huge pool of water with varying depths. It looks like some of it is really, really deep... There is a familiar face looking up at the group, sitting in a shallow section of the pool located at F4. It is the bunny that Gabrian had found under the hat from the other room and it is holding a sign that reads: There is an invisible path, please don't drown. It seems to be thanking Gabrian for freeing it from that awful hat. Quote: OOC:The way across is an invisible path. The invisible path is horizontal and vertical; there are no diagonals. It is your choice whether or not you wish to make a straight line across it; keep in mind that in doing so it may hurt. You have been warned.

Tybalt wandered back into the room, only to stop yet again when he stepped in. It was different. Completely different. Not that he was complaining. The change was an improvement. It wasn't pink anymore and those statues were finally gone. But... how did it change so much?
"What's with the pool of water?" He asked, despite knowing that the others were probably just as confused as he was.
On top of it all... what was with that rabbit? Wasn't that the one Gabe had found? Why was it sitting there---with a sign?
Tybalt entered Room 2!

When Jove followed Tybalt back up the stairs, he was shocked at the transformation. How did all the water get in here? Was that even possible?
He trotted right past Tybalt and the bunny, and kneeled down at the water's edge to peer inside. Were they supposed to swim? The pup wouldn't mind, it didn't look all that dangerous... Except he didn't want to get his clothes wet!

[ Ren is entering from the Hub! ]
Ren did not care about the low ceiling, the change in the room, or the fact that there was a rabbit holding a sign.
All he saw was the water.
"I OBJECT. I OBJECT COMPLETELY."

<< Gabrian is entering from the Hub! >>The last thing Gabrian expected upon entering the room was... well, water, really. His first reaction was for his mouth to hang open in mild wonder, and his second reaction was to silently give Coralie her cat back so he could crouch down by the shore. The demon was so fixated upon the water, that he had effectively blocked out everyone else in the room. That is, until Ren's voice pierced the silence, cause Gabrian to wince as he ran a finger through the water, "Well, it could be worse," he drawled out as he looked over his shoulder, "They could be making up swim across. At least we know there's a... path of some sort." He turned his head and smiled at the small bunny that seemed to be holding the sign, "Would you like to come along?" he offered the rabbit a ride as he stepped on F-4, idly wondering where he should move to next. That done, and not bothering to wait to see if the bunny would chose to hitch a ride, he turned to Tybalt and Jove, "I'm guessing we... should move along. I can swim just fine and there's no possible way I'd drown. I'd offer to shift into my serpent form; I'm just not sure if the real problem is drowning or... whatever might be lurking under the surface."
