Danny hesitated and bit her lip. Roch did have a good point. She had no clue how to solve this ... but ... this was hers. Danny was selfish- it was part of growing up a spoiled brat, really.
Suddenly G's tail slamming onto the ground distracted her. Though the big oaf hadn't seemed to notice that he was clearly blistering on the bottom of his tail. Danny's friend instinct lit up and she was filled with fierce mama-bear attitude. Her brows knit in worry as she shouted to him, "G! Are you okay!" It didn't looked too bad, but still. Danny didn't want her friends hurt!
Turning back to Roch, she stepped out from her guardpost at the door and said "'Kay here!" she mumbled, and then ran over to G. She really loved this whole fire thing, but her friends came first.
She patted his shoulder and said, "You okay buddy?"

Triumph! Gargantuan looked immensely pleased with himself at being so successful, but it almost took a whole minute for him to realize that... well, his tail was starting to hurt. With a yelp, the swamp beast danced away from the flames, snatching at his poor tail with an unhappy whimper. Owie! Fire was hot!
Danny's attention only encouraged him to lean on her a little, whining and fretting. "G hurt." He lamented, his thick tongue sliding past his blunt canines to lick at the sore spot.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, it did not make it feel immediately better.
"Can go to another room, now?" He asked the fire demon plaintively. G was now tired of fire.

"Yeah, big guy, we'll get out out of here and somethin' on that tail as soon as we can," Roch promised earnestly as he looked at the piece of paper, his pen in his hand. He scowled slightly, motioning Rikki over to give him a hand. It was getting hotter by the second, he thought, sweat beading on his skin. He felt like he was being cooked in an oven.
"Okay," he said. "I get it. We gotta use these four things in each of the lines going vertical and horizontal, but they can't have two of the same on the same line, see?" he said to Rikki. "That means this one is probably... pumpkin. And this one is probably bone."
He started writing the words in, hoping just writing them would be good enough. Drawing the pictures seemed a waste of time.

"We'll be out of this room soon, big guy," he assured G as he peeked over Roch's shoulder. He didn't get puzzles, there just wasn't anything interesting about them, but this one seemed pretty simple. There were only four pieces, and they just couldn't be repeated. If Roch could figure it out, Nyyrikki could too.
"That one's definitely a bat," he murmured, pointing to one of the boxes. "Is that one a moon?" Ugh. This was like homework. What the jack. Couldn't the challenges they faced be more fun?

Roch jotted down what Rikki suggested, finishing the puzzle off with the other reaper quickly and stepping back. "Done," he said, running a hand over his face.

Danny was filled with nothing but sympathy for poor G. She was only just beginning to see the negative effects fire had on people (this was a completely new concept to her), and now she had finally seen it in action.
She definitely would have to invest in that lantern shell so she didn't hurt her friends like G!
All she could say was, "Sorry G, they won't open the door, I already asked really really nicely. I said please and everything. An idea hit her. "Oh! But G I bet you could knock down that door, right?" Yeah! G could just run up to the door and WHAM BAM! and they'd be out of here.
"Oh..." she said, as the realization caught up to rather slow thoughts, "But there's the whole fire thing ... Nevermind." All she could do was pat G sympathetically and hope the boils on the other side of the room worked this out fast.

Moure was still on the other side of the room by the time Roch and Rikki had crossed over the patch of subdued flames. Usually the Runner had no problem motivating himself to do something, but for some reason he was really having problems with this challenge.
It was probably because the first room out of this whole ordeal was literally the worst weakness Moure had. (And if this was just the first room, who knew that the rest of the rooms would be like!) Had Moure had a real heart instead of an RPM-meter, he's sure it would've burned out by now, simply from the fact that there was a FIRE coming through the room, toward him, and that he was probably going to die.
Finally, and mostly motivated by the fact that if he didn't move he'd probably get stranded on the other side of the room by the fire wall, Moure made his run for the smothered section G had made. The patchwork lived up to his title of Runner and cleared the room's distance within moments. As soon as he crossed to where the door was, he moved to as far away from the fire as he possibly could. He gave a shudder before turning to see that Roch had completed the puzzle that was on the door. That was good. That meant they could leave this death trap of a room, right?
While he was still unsettled by the proximity to the potential FIRE-RELATED-DEATH, Moure managed to say sheepishly, "Yeah...sorry for my lack of helpfulness in this room, guys. I'll make it up to you all in the next area?" Moure's instinctive helpfulness had been supressed in this room, but that just meant that he'd have to actually help more in the next room, right?

Success! The flames suddenly die down as the door swings open with a gust of cool air.(( CONGRATULATIONS! Your group has successfully completed the challenge! Please wait while I prepare your next room. In the meantime, your group is cleared to go visit your Hub! The Hub is an ORP setting where your group can interact with other groups and Boos. There is a strict no fighting rule in place. Before you post there, though, please post an EXIT post here by putting ((Exiting!)) at the top or bottom of your posts. Then in the hub, please write ((ENTERING!)) if you are entering that area. When your next challenge is ready and your character is in the hub, please make an exiting post there, and entering post here. I will quote-summon all of you to return here once the puzzle is ready; the puzzle WILL NOT be posted until all group members have arrived. You may not journey to the Hub in the middle of a puzzle; only after completing a challenge. If you have any questions, please ask them here in the questions thread. ))

((EXITING TO HUB~))
NOT COOL NOT COOL NOT COOL NOT COOL.
Well solving the puzzle was awesome! And technically it was cool. But that was the problem. It was cool. The breeze that floated in through the room, plus the new absence of fire in the room was not Danny's friend. She let go of G quite suddenly to rub her arms vigorously.
"Idon'tlikeitinherecanwegopleeeeeeeeeeeease," she whined. Funny, five seconds ago she was screaming about how this was the best room ever, and now she wanted nothing more than to leave it.
Still, a door opened meant they had passed right? Right. Danny stood up and looked at G and Moure, the latter of which was crouching in the corner of the room. Danny decided it would be best to stay away from him for the time being. He didn't like fire, she remembered that much.
Without another word, she bolted through the door, eager to get to someplace warmer.Honestly, if it didn't get warmer, she might burn down the whole damn house just to get warmer. (Of course, she was too stupid to think of that alternative).

"JackDAMN does that feel good," Roch said. "Let's get out of here. Moure, I hope you got some burn salve in that huge a** bag of yours, G needs his tail looked at." Then he stepped through the door, glad to get the oven room behind him.

As you enter the first thing that might catch your attention is the music, it's so loud you can probably all feel a the wild thumping of a turned up bass in your chests. It becomes apparent quickly that this next room is out of place. As far as you can tell, the entire room is made out of mirrors: mirror wall, mirror floor, mirror furnitu- is that a mirror toilet? Pity it's not flushable. There aren't any walls around it either, making it a poor choice to use for a potty break if you wanted to use it. Why are you even thinking about it, anyway?! You should have gone before you left! Either way, the only thing that isn't a mirror in this room is the ceiling. There's that going for you. Except of course that the ceiling has shiny disco balls spinning about causing further distraction. Navigating this room, on the other hand... It's bad enough that your reflections are everywhere. It's worse still to realize that what you get to go through is a mirror maze. Quote: OOC: To brave the mirror maze, you will need to go through four sections. Please roll the dice specific to the area you are in: Section 1: 1d61, 3, 5: You stumble around, disoriented. A boo pops out of a mirror and attacks you! (Summon & Defeat a Boo to pass to Section 2) 2, 4: Success! You make it through the first part. Proceed to Section 2. 6: SCREW THIS! You become frustrated. Or angry. Or very sad over the fact that you're lost. Whatever you're feeling, you manage to hurt yourself for -2 HP. Roll again. Section 2: 1d81, 2: After walking around for three minutes, you realize that you're right back where you started. Roll again. 3, 8: While navigating the mirror maze, you manage to trip over a mirror-table and nearly drop a mirror-vase filled with mirror-flowers. You klutz! Take -1 HP damage. Then reroll. 4, 5: Success! That wasn't too bad. You proceed on to Section 3.6: The music takes you over, you break into a dance! (Re-roll) 7: How did you...? Somehow, you made it back to Section 1. Please scroll up and roll a 1d6 and follow the listings there. Section 3: 1d101: Hello, person, look at your maze, now back to me, now back at your maze, now back to me. Sadly, you're alone in this maze, but if you stopped getting separated from your group and started keeping a close eye on everyone, you could be as awesome as me. Look down, back up, where are you? You're still in the maze being watched by the GM running this room. What's in your hand, back at me. I have it, it's the luck you need to get through this maze to proceed on. Look again, the luck is now a minipet. Anything is possible when you roll a one in the middle of a dice game. You need to reroll a 1d10 and quote Marushii with your minis SN. 2, 3, 4: You're so lost. So, so lost. So reroll and try again! 5, 6: You made it! You continue on to the final section, Section 4. 7: You're lost. So, so very lost. What do you do? Easy: you follow someone. Pick a random group member, don't look at their roll. Treat what they got, what you got. Reroll or proceed as needed. 8: No. No. Hell no. You did not just go back to Section 1. But you totally did. Except you somehow navigated it and Section 2, lucky you. Reroll 1d10 and try again. 9, 10: Yep. Still lost. Oh look a Boo is taking advantage of your disoriented state. (Summon and Defeat a Boo to Proceed to Section 4) Section 4: 1d121: Uggggh this maze is so trippy! First you move and it's like. WOW! So many other-reflecections of you move too! It's so disorienting! You need to roll again as a result. 2: Navigating the maze would be easier if you stopped trying to walk INTO the mirrors. Take -1 HP damage and reroll. 3: When you see it, you can't believe your eyes. There's... There's a mirror-couch. A couch made out of mirrors. It's not comfortable to sit on, but it's sturdy enough to stand on. You use it as a boost to peer over the side of the mirror-walls and look around. There's the exit! You cheating cheater: you navigate your way to the exit. 4: You have just about HAD it with this maze! Maybe you're angry. Maybe you're filled with despair. No matter what you feel, you either accidentally or on purpose give the wall a good shove. It falls over. Then it knocks down the mirror-wall after that, and the one after that, and the one after that until you have a clear path to the exit. It's too bad the walls sprung back up before you could run across them! Try again. 5: Navigating the maze would be easier if you paid more attention to where you were. You manage to hurt yourself for -1 damage. Reroll. 6: Through much trial and error, you manage to find the exit. Horray! Now all you need to do is wait at the exit for the rest of your group... 7: You have just about HAD it with this maze! Maybe you're angry. Maybe you're filled with despair. No matter what you feel, you either accidentally or on purpose give the wall a good shove. It falls over. Then it knocks down the mirror-wall after that, and the one after that, and the one after that until you have a clear path to the exit. Lucky break! You run across the fallen mirrors and reach the exit. Behind you, the mirrors spring back up into place. 8: Feeling lucky, you take random twists and turns... and get nowhere fast. Roll again. 9: When you see it, you can't believe your eyes. There's... There's a mirror-couch. A couch made out of mirrors. It's not comfortable to sit on, but it's sturdy enough to stand on. You use it as a boost to peer over the side of the mirror-walls and look around. There's the exit! You abuse this knowledge to reach the exit, except the exit isn't where you remembered it to be. In fact, you turned yourself around. Go back to Section 3 and reroll a 1d10. 10: You are so, so lost. But that's okay! You manage to find someone else in your group who's also lost and in Section 4. Through teamwork, the magic of friendship, and dumb luck the pair of you manage to make it to the end! Pick someone who is in Section 4 at the same time as you. Both of you exit the maze. You must pick someone at the exact time you roll a 10; you may not wait for another team member to get into section 4. If no one else is in your section, proceed by yourself to the exit.11: You navigate this section of the mirror-room with ease. Why is everyone else having so much trouble? Your section of the maze is a large empty mirror-chamber. It feels like whoever built the maze forgot to add twists and turns to this area: it's an open room with nothing in your way. You practically waltz to the exit. 12: You know what's awesome about mirrors? Mirrors break. Sure there's the whole "Seven Years Bad Luck" thing associated with them, but you know what? Stuff that. You pick up a mirror-object and throw it at a mirror-wall and proceed with the destruction. You smash your way out of the maze, unaware that the maze is repairing itself behind you. You're out, but at what cost? If the next room requires you to roll a dice, you will AUTO FAIL that roll. If the next room does NOT require a dice roll, then you get away. Scott free. Lucky you.

After the door had opened and the fires had extinguished themselves, Moure let out a deep breath of relief. Apparently they were to exit the room for now, perhaps to return later? Whatever it was, Moure was glad to leave the once flame-engulfed room.
Upon entering the other room however, the patchwork felt a deep thumping beat of music, loud enough that it's pulsating bass made even his RPM-meter of a heart start revving to the pattern. That wasn't the most startling thing of this new room though.
The entire place seemed to be made of mirrors. The patchwork pressed a hand against one surface, watching his reflection do the same. He pulled back, then looked out of the corner of his eye at another mirrored surface, resulting in the patchwork being able to see his own back. He took a second to admire the racer's jacket he had on, and then focused back on the challenge at hand. After a few moments, Moure realized why this room was a challenge. It was a maze. He hadn't even taken two steps further in and he already felt a bit dizzy from the insane amount of reflections looking back at him. "Guys..." He called back over his shoulder, deciding it might be a good idea to warn his team. "Brace yourselves. This next room is pretty trippy. It's a giant mirror maze."
It probably would've been a good idea to wait for his entire team to show, but Moure was just a tad impatient. He braced himself for the onslaught of his own image in the mirrors, and started out down one of the passages.
Moure's 'efficiency' would be his downfall here. Moure's walk was generally faster then that of others, and he soon found himself stuck in a hall of mirrors that were so repetitous that he couldn't even tell where he was supposed to be moving. Had he been a little more careful, he probably would've noticed the jutting spines of a mirror plant that was leaning precariously into his hallway, near where he'd be passing.
Instead, the undead's arm was grazed by the plant as it tipped slightly, cutting both skin and string on the boil's left arm. Moure felt some stitches slipping and looked at his arm, trying not to curse under his breath. He fished some thread and a needle from his bag and hastily fixed the ripped stitches. He took a moment to evaluate the damage done to his skin, then grudgingly pulled a few quick stitches over the biggest laceration. The rest could wait until he'd gotten out of this dangerous maze.
((Moure lost 2 health points due to accidently running into a mirror plant.))

((G has entered!))
It was loud. Gargantuan felt disorientated just from the sound alone, shaking his head in an attempt to clear his muddled thoughts. Moure's voice echoed back to him, and the swamp beast took a few steps forward, only to stop dead with disappointment.
This wasn't a swamp at all!
The mirrors were very shiny, and Gargantuan swayed back and forth for a moment, dangerously close to tipping over. This already seemed sort of fun! The beast grunted in his throat, tail tapping a staccato of glee against the mirrored floors, and began to lumber forward. Every time he even twitched, all the other G-reflections twitched too!
If the music weren't so loud, he might have been able to enjoy it a bit more...
But wait--did something just move in one of those mirrors? Something that wasn't big, green, and slimy?
"Guys?" The monster said uncertainly, holding his burned tail as though that would comfort him somehow. Suddenly, he had a bad feeling...

(( Hello Boo is entering the room! ))
Floating out of the mirror, Hello Boo had her eyes shut, feeling disoriented for a moment. She opened her eyes and stared at her reflection in the mirror, before realizing that there was something behind her.
She blinked and focused on that creature, now curious. Slowly, she floated over to it - him, whichever. Whatever it was, it was interesting!
