((Nope. I think Tai is the youngest. Either way, Odi is listed before his bro and sis on the owner's list, his number is smaller than theirs. Makes him oldest :3 ))
Avatre raised an eyebrow. "I take it that means your mate is either dead or insane," she asked, in a tone that made it more statement than question.

(Good point. I can't even remember that far back when he I first got him.)
"The dead one would be more convient for the rest of the world." She said as she looked over her shoulder to see Odi stalking back into the clearing with a plump hare like she ordered. Probably should of told him to get a doe.
His bloodlust had lessened, to a degree. That was only after crushing a thinner rabbits skull in his mouth. As he moved infront of the daeva he gave his mother a quick look over, she was fine. He dropped the kill unceramously at her feet and moved back to his mothers side. "..."
Edit sad we could do it after Avarte tells them she's pregnant with Rei's children)

Avatre's eyebrow was still raised in it's quizzical position. She only spared Odi the briefest of eye flickers before she went back to Rei. Though he'd play a part eventually, his existance wasn't of importance right now.
"Did he inherit anything negative from you, or was there nothing negative to inherit?"

Rei kept her gaze upon Odi as he sat down beside her. It was an interesting question to ponder, what negative features did he have.
"He takes after father...anything you wish you didn't gain from me Odi?" She asked knowing he wouldn't lie.
"That man being my 'father' and the occasional loss of emotions." He said casually. He knew he couldn't offend her truely, she didn't have that emotion either. What he did care about was why this female was asking about him.
"She kept me sane in a pack of killers; taught me what it meant to be loved, and she let me know everyones not out to get me. Want to me my mate while were at it?" He asked sarcatically. "What's your game? You stalk us then i. Bring you food. Somebody explain why I'm not atempting to ground you permentally." He said half way aggressive and the other half strangely curious.

Avatre lifted a lip briefly, showing a glimpe of snowy-white fangs. "Yapping pup, don't talk about grounding me like you think it would be easy." She leveled her bronze gaze at him, giving the male a quick go-over. He had his mothers colors and enough similar patterns that he could be mistaken for her twin on a first glance. Normal height for a normal male, he still came about a foot and a half short at the shoulder compared to her. Strong, obviously confident in himself. Perhaps he would give her a challenge if she stayed on the ground, but combining flying tactics would give her the ultimate win.
A brief flash of irony went through her mind. The male was probably thinking the same thoughts about her.
She turned her attention back to the female. "Hmph. Well I suppose lack of emotions isn't horrible, even if it does make one a bit prone to suicidal tendencies. I've got a temper but I'm not insane or murderous, so the children should come out evenly balanced."

Odi didn't take his glare off the female, not even when she showed her fangs. Even he had to admit a bite from her would be painful, if not traumatizing to an unexpecting fox. Still he was picking out where he attack. Her soft wings would be his target, if she managed to get off the ground he would of been better off running into the woods. "Easy? No, satisfying it would be." Odi said holding back a growl as he listened to the female.
"Children? Wait..." his look of sudden confusion was suddenly changed into a look of shock as he looked between them. "Children! Mom?" He said suddenly turning to his mother before jerking his head to look at the daeva, her stomach was large. "But...but..." Odi stammered in shock as his mind fought agaisnt the idea his mom got a vixen...pregnant.
"that is good for them." She replied as she glanced at her shocked son. "Yes, she's with our kits." She said managing a small amused smile at her son. "When are you expecting?"

"About the same as what I myself was expecting, apparently," Avatre said evenly, though inside she could empathize with the male's reaction. It was only yesterday that she stopped going down her own path of denial; even if she could fool herself into thinking her mind was playing tricks, the changes in her body more than convinced Avatre that this was real.
She leaned down and picked up the rabbit in her jaws, slinging it on her back with a quick flick of her head. The body made a dull thud as it landed between her wings, and part of Avatre's mind observed (with approval) that at least the male had made a clean kill. She hated getting blood out of her fur.
"I don't need to be babied," she said, casting a stern look at the female. Mother of her children. Ugh, that would take getting used to. "Pregnant or not, I can look out for myself. I'm only here cause this should be just as much your headache as it is mine." It would be nice to have someone to babysit when the brats got bratty and she needed time away, at the least.
Avatre turned and started to walk away, pausing only long enough to say, "Why don't you try to calm your son down and get it in his head that he'll have baby siblings soon," before vanishing into the trees.
((I was thinking time skip to BCRs. You can do a little post with Rei and Odi reacting after Avatre left, if you want, or you can just start the skip immediately.))

(Let's just time skip.)
What did he do this time to anger the gods? He hadn't killed a fox in a while, a scrap or two but no real injuries. Yet Odi felt like he was being punished as he sat watching his mother attend to a bcr on her tail gently. He watched the scene with a wary look.
"So...are they like those two?" He asked making a reference to his other siblings who he hoped were dead. "I mean they are related to me right? Although you don't have the bloodlust..." even though he was a grown male their was a hint of kit pouting in his voice. In his little world he never had to share his beloved mother. Even now he hated the thought she decided to spend so much time with that Daeva, the one he couldn't touch because even he wouldn't attack a mother with children. Even if the mother was twice his size and could summon fire at will.
"Its so strange to see a killer being jealous of a bcr." Rei cooed sligly as she hummed gently to her bcr. It helped the kit and she figured where she went wrong with her first litter. "Your related...but no they won't be like your personality. The'll be raised in two different enviroments." She said casually before tucking the bcr securly against her side.

"Don't fuss, my love. Children are a joy to have in the family and if there's anyone who deserves them it's your mother."
Ara emerged from the forest; she'd left to get a drink from the nearby river. On her paw was a second BCR, with similar colors and patterns to the one her mother-in-law carried.
The whole situation was a welcome and amusing one to Ara. She'd been quite shocked when her mate and his mother appeared with a Daeva in tow, and even more shocked when they explained the reason why. She'd heard of children resulting from chance meetings, but this was her first time experiencing such a thing.
Thankfully, as far as Daevas went, Avatre was easy to get along with. She had a very dry wit and most of her words were shaded with varying levels of sarcasm or in a tone like she thought the one she was speaking too was being unusually dense, but the more she warmed up to the family the less sarcastic she got.
Avatre was actually out on a hunting trip at the moment, since she could cover more ground quickest and they didn't want to overhunt the area. That was when she left behind her children, for a Daeva's paws were a bit too big to carry a BCR and she fretted about the danger of it when she was going out to kill. So Ara got baby-sitting duty, and truth be told she wasn't unhappy with it.
The change in her mate was an amusing one to see, and she had to be careful that Odi didn't think she was laughing at him; it would only cause him to pout even more. She knew he was a momma's boy, of course, and Rei had shown no interest in anyone else until now. He probably never even thought a day might come where he'd have to share her!
Smiling gently at her mate, Ara leaned over and nuzzled him.Avatre chose that moment to reappear, her arrival announced by a cloud of wind thrown up by her wings as she backdrafted to slow her descent. She touched lightly down on the ground, a young buck dangling from her powerful jaws.
She dropped the meat and looked around, eyes lighting on Ara. She stepped over the dead buck and approached the vixen, bronze eyes expectant and focused more on the BCR snuggled against red and white fur than anything else.
Ara seemed to have already read her intentions, and slipped Kiran off her paw before Avatre had properly reached them. She nodded her thanks, curling her tail around her baby and retreating. Even after a week had passed, she still wasn't sure how she felt about Odi and him being around her babies...

Odi glanced toward his mate when she came out of the forest and he caught her smile and sent one back. Ara could always cheer him up. "Glad to see enjoyed your walk." He said. As he looked at the bcr on her paw. Even he was surprised Avarte willing gave up one of her precious children. Then again she did take a likeing to his mate.
"I know but...what if they think I'm slow or hate me because I'm their half brother?" Despite the words seeming like he cared his true emotions were what if mother liked them more? Whenn Ara nuzzled him however he gave her a playful n** in return. "You don't care about my emotional turmoil." He joked to her as he heard the sudden flap of the wings and turned his head to see his...possible step mother appear. He held her gaze for a moment before looking at the young buck, he wouldn't have attempted something so big.
Rei didn't interrupt her daughter in law as she dealt with Odi, she was the only one keeping him from being in a state of pouting. It brought one of her rare small smile on when she thought of a grown male being jealous of sharing his mother. When Avarte returned she watched silently as she watched the two vixens do their transaction. It was nice knowing that the other female had such strong maternal instincts. However she knew the small tensions between her and Odi. In the week it had lessened but it was still alive.
When she saw Avarte was contemplating Odi, Rei finally stopped her humming and made her way to the daeva. "You know if he wanted to do harm he had many opportunites." She said casually as she sat down next to Avarte as she moved the bcr on her tail closer to the warmth of her body. "He's just worried you will hurt me or in his little world I run off with you and forget all about him." She spoke without her emotion like always, however their was still a slight sound of her love for Odi.
"I'm just happy Odi didn't faint when he saw the bcrs being born like that time-"
"I never fainted! I...blacked out." Odi interrupted with indignation unknowingly proving a point for his mother. "I was young and no one gave me a warning! I actually didn't look this time, but that was because I was looking out for wolves or...bears."

Avatre shorted. "Then he's being just as silly. We aren't mates, we aren't even dating. I could have easily raised two children on my own, or even the maximum four that my kind is prone to. Only reason I didn't is cause I wanted to give you the option to be involved in their lives."
Avatre actually wouldn't have been surprised if Rei wanted nothing to do with her or the children. It was a far more common practice that most thought for broods born to non-mated couples, for the parents to split the children and then go their separate ways.
But just like Odi would probably always eye her with suspcion, she would always be wary with her children around him until they had grown up. Well, perhaps not with little Chandra. Subconsciously most males were averse to harming females. A baby sister would seem practically harmless to him, and might possibly wrap her brother around her little paw.
It was the boy she worried about more than anything, and one of the reasons she preferred to hold onto him herself. If something ever did happen that she'd have to retreat, she'd rather take her son than her daughter. Males got into conflicts all the time trying to prove their masculinity, silly creatures. Of course it was always possible he might just as easily charm Odi into a protective frame of mind, but conflict seemed the most likely course. Odi might even see him as an even greater rival for Rei's attention that his sister, since he and Kiran were males...
Ara gave her mate a playful n** in return while Avatre spoke. She could guess what was going through the Daeva's mind, familiar with suspcious thoughts given the course her own family had been going down.
She gave Avatre a reassuring, if sad, smile, then looked at Odi. "The family just gets one shock after another, doesn't it? I haven't even told the boys that they're getting a new aunt and uncle, and I'm almost afraid to tell Toxic." The red vixen shook her head. "Her reaction will probably be worse than yours."

"At the same time you had the chance to leave. I never said I did or didn't want to raise the children. Besides, if you honestly wanted to leave you would of left by now." Rei said softly as she watched her son and his mate.
Rei had a maternal instinct, that meant she would care for the children no matter what. However Avarte had the emotion and the choice to determine if she like their family she could just leave. "Or, you wanted the option to know what it's like to be around a family. Odi's a strong brave fox, he's also loyal which you haven't seen yet."
Odi's smile grew larger as he felt the n** from his mate, it always made him feel loved. "Such an abuser." He joked as he moved closer to her side before looking back at Avatre, "she been in our lives for a week and both of us still we act like the other is going to make an attack. I can understand." He mused suddenly as he pondered his position.
"Before our kids I wouldn't understand what it was like to feel defensive of kits. Before I meet you I didn't even want a family. Now though, I understand. I really am going to take a while to get used to her...but I might as well attempt." He sighed before leaning his head back hearing what Ara had to say about Toxic.
"The twins wont be an issue. Gem probably want to cuddle them to death. Toxic and Ransom however." A small grimace crossed his face as he realized hwo much problems it was going to be. "I say we leave to Uncle Rendo. We can go to the beach or go visit a nice place."

Ara chuckled. "Guilty, but it takes one to know one," she teased her mate, emerald eyes twinkling. Her mind turned back to the issue at hand, and she found all she could do was shrug. "Well, it has only been a week, and no one's had time to get used to what's going on yet, not even us." She leaned against her mate, eyes on Rei and Avatre chatting quietly on their own. "We certainly have one of the oddest families out there."

Life was so good thought the day old kit as she meticusly cleaned her paws and muzzle after devoring an fat field mice she made her older brother bring her. Chandra barely knew speech but already she could order around her big brother. Best part was her mom with the wings was always perfect to nap agaisnt while she waited on him to bring her another treat. Although her regular mother was kind she was also a little boring.
Chandra gave a stretch as she looked up at a curious older brother who seemed confused on just being a caring brother. "Very good." She said with approval as she looked around for her brother to play with, well play with as long as he doesn't get her dirty. Oh she also liked the red and silver female, Odi told her she had a lot of stories like him, although all his involved some fight or boring monster. Then again Avarte would groom her and lick her clean if she choose her. So many options it was hard to choose.Odi was obviously awkward at being a brother, especially a loving brother. Already he was attempting to spoil the kits by bringing them treats. Some of which involved a little digging or bush searching. So far Chandra approved of him from what he could tell. Well she atleast approved of his catches. He tried to give both his equal time although Chandra didn't mind asserting herself. He laid back on his hunches for a moment before letting out a tired sigh. "Ransom didn't even make me hunt this much." He said to Chandra who completely disregarded his statement. Rei laid watching the two in a sunny spot with warm eyes. It was adorable to see Odi attempting to be a big brother to the kits but what made it better was he didn't realize he was being played by a kit.
"Besides his war stories he's actually a good brother." She mused as she watched him become the climbing toy for Chandra. "Never thought I see the day."

"He lets her push him around like a big wuss," complained the tiny kit sitting at his mother's side. It was very obviously he was related to the female kit snuggled against the Avatre. It was also very obvious that Rei was indeed the "other parent"; even with Avatre's mark on him, Kiran took mostly after Rei.
He didn't disapprove of his big brother, not entirely. He was just a complete opposite of his sister, prefering to hunt for himself, not get baths at all, and hung on every word Odi said when he talked about his fighting days. It didn't help that he was at that age where it was natural for sibling to heckle each other, and any chance he got to torment Chandra was a mark of pride for him.Avatre glanced over in the direction of her son, bronze eyes amused as his piping voice reached her ears. At this stage when eyes were at their brightest, it was hard to tell if either child would darken from bright gold to the golden bronze that she sported.
They were already proving how interesting they intended to make the lives of their family, and Avatre couldn't help but contrast them in her head.
Little Kiran looked most like Rei; the few tufts of colors on his ears, paws and back, plus the way the back and ear tip colors formed, was all he'd gotten from her in way of looks. Otherwise he was going to grow up like his big brother, looking so much like Rei on a first glance the three might seem like triplets. Of course the flares of color worked against him in that sense, but as long as the patterns and main colors were similar enough most foxes let their eyes trick them into seeing what they wanted to until a double-take was executed.
He prefered to spend time with Rei over her, for he shared her fiery nature and found his smaller momma a far more sympathetic and willing audience, and less likely to spring a bath on him without warning.
Chandra had a lot more of Avatre in her, and Avatre felt a burst of protective love as she looked down at the kit snuggled into her side, almost lost in her magenta fur. The fluffy part of her tail was the same, as was her hair and the bronze stripe that crossed their lower jaws and ran to color their bellies.
She seemed much the opposite of her brother, preferring the snuggle or watch rather than pounce and get dirty. She was fastidious about cleaning herself, and seemed to value Odi more for what treats he could bring her than his tales of battle.
'For all that,' Avatre thought, and ironic smile pulling at the corners of her mouth, 'she seems to have him wrapped as firmly around her little paw as I thought.'
