“I absolutely don’t mind you going after her, not in the least.” He sighed and leaned back in the chair. “I’m worried only that it would raise questions. Yes I’m out here on my own but I don’t want too many people, state and otherwise turning to look, turning to OBSERVE in any more than a “are you paying your taxes’ kind of way.
His shoulders sagged with the frustrating of not being able to lash out the way he wanted to at her. Even with all these resources at his fingertips she seemed just out of reach thanks to age. “I suppose if all that happened was she became USEFUL for once it wouldn’t raise too many question. A tentative hopeful thought.

"...get me a picture, then." He'd do it later, when he wasn't working on a beer and sitting in Zac's kitchen. When there wasn't a new apartment to explore. To spend some time in. He took another gulp as he stood from the table to poke through the kitchen cabinets, to explore the freeze for some unknown reason. He just liked to know.
"I can find her later. God only knows how far she's gotten now..." He twisted back to face Zac, eyebrows raised in a vaguely questioning manner. "If you're serious, anyway. I can make time."

“Yeah, I will, I’m sure she stuffed on into my boxes like I’d miss her or anything. Actually she looks kind of like… kind of like Older Sabine crossed with a drunken June Cleaver.” He said arching an eyebrow trying to explain her to someone who’d yet to have the misfortune of meeting her.
He flicked his nail on the edge of the can as Ever explored the meagerly supplied cabinets with their cheep dishes and stashes of ramen, canned pastas and other ‘dorm’ food that required little to no preparation and were available in bulk.
It was at least slightly quieter than the dorms, though you could make out the sound of the neighbors TV and it sounded like something cheep, badly filmed and requiring a credit card.
“I wouldn’t go out of your way, but I wouldn’t say no either.”

June Cleaver as a name wasn't exactly something that clicked for Ever; his eyes went blank and baffled as he tried to figure out if that was someone he was supposed to know. Yes. Judging from Zac's tone, it probably was. Oh well; he could probably manage older Sabine, though that would largely mean hunting down someone with long red hair...
He closed the freezer again, started to lean against the fridge, and then thought better of it. That freezer had very recently been covered in pizza sauce, and he didn't want it all over his clothes.
"...this means you graduated, right?" He felt out of the loop. Was that a stupid question? Ever frowned a little.

“Yeah…” He confirmed with a small shrug. “I took classes over summer. I was going to,” He stopped a moment looking like he was still torn over something. “I was going to take a scholarship for, something, but its too far out of state. So I figure I’ll take some on line classes when I can because of how things are going here.”
He was trying to skirt ‘talking shop” but being as events from uniform had changed some of his thoughts on what he wanted to do as opposed to what he needed to do, it had to come out sometime.
“Wasn’t sure I could pull it off but I did.”

"Well. Uh. Good." He made a little face, because that sounded unenthusiastic --but Ever also felt unenthusiastic, in all honesty. Graduating early was an achievement, perhaps, but skipping out on a scholarship in favor of s**t online class?
He wasn't one to talk. He'd done much worse. Instead he settled in against the table to finish off his beer. "So this is permanent? Like, you living here, I mean. It's all your stuff and you're paying for it and everything."

“Um…yeah the rent’s paid for the first two months, the security deposit is no doubt already being spent by the so called Land Lord, everything I could get away with is…here, including some things that you are NOT going to laugh at when I finally get unpacked.” He said waving the beer can in a ‘not the least bit menacing’ way towards Ever as he considered what he was going to do with the stuffed panda collection.
He sighed softly and shifted in the chair looking uncertain again. He was pleased to be ‘free’ from his home but he was more tied down than ever. Rent, bills, no escape to where he’d wanted to be, which was mainly ‘away’ from Destiny City, but he had responsibilities here that just didn’t mesh with that right now. When they solved the headache of the Senshi, then he could apply again for a scholarship. Right?
“Shame it’d be so damned hard to set up living space in the Rift, though I think I prefer the idea of not waking up covered in Youma drool with no hot water or electricity.”

"Plus, probably not good for your psyche." He thought about that -- and then held out his hands to help Zac up. The kitchen wasn't the greatest place to be having this conversation, really, not when there was more of the apartment to explore.
"Show me the rest. And then we can unpack, maybe." Or perhaps, instead, he could distract Zac, get him out -- or stay in -- or who knew? But at the very least he wouldn't be stuck helping him unpack.
