Of course it could be what he'd been told which had been the trap, but he didn't think so. He had heard of kidnappings and torture and the rift...that was enough for him to believe he hadn't been lied to.
"Yes, I am not the same but is it because of the chaos or is it because of the war I am now involved in?" Can you pin point just which one has changed the person? War can make people bitter, cyclical and many other things. Even if you asked every senshi and found them not to be as we are that doesn't prove anything definitively. We are still different people, different mind sets, us and them." Shaking his head he cast a glance to his empty coffee cup. When this all ended, however it fell, it would be something to see...how they all tried to fit back in to society.
"My personal cause is simple, to end this and to achieve freedom for us all. As I see it that means removing the senshi from this planet, given what I've been told of their intentions." And the fact he wasn't going to ask, and trust,every senshi about their loyalties to the former Queen. He didn't want to think of dieing himself, that was something to never look at or think of like a child covering his eyes and believing because he can't see someone they can't see him. "Perhaps it is the same thing...just a different manner of going about it."

Camelot listened quietly, nodding his head.
"Well," he said at length, taking a step toward the negaverse soldier. He offered his hand, no weapon in his grip. He held it out leisurely, trying to look casual though the gesture itself was old fashioned and stiff.
"Whatever you fight for, I fight for your right to survive. That doesn't make us allies, but it doesn't make us enemies, either. If I find you hurting someone, I will step in, but if you are ever in need of my aid, I will do everything I can to fight for you. Maybe one day a certain peace will come, however it is achieved, and we will be able to meet under better circumstances?"
He hoped, at least.
But this was war. And war had a habit of ending in only one or two different ways. And none without their cost.
Camelot heard a shrill cry on the air, and he knew that was his cue to begin his retreat. Someone was in danger nearby, and he was close enough that he might be of some help. He had to focus on that.

Taking the offered hand he shook it slowly, watching the other. "Perhaps. Once this is over than perhaps will meet on better terms. To you, a person who is fair and perhaps the only truly neutral person, I hope you survive to see the better day you are fighting for." Not something he was likely to ever say to another person who wasn't a member of the Negaverse. He knew if others, like Painite, saw him right now she would likely toss a fit. But the man before him was sincere and was willing to fight to protect him as much as he was willing to protect anyone else, surely that was a just person who just happen to be on the other side but not in nature. He was on no side by nature, or so he saw it as being.
If they both survived, and there was no need for arms or hostilities, perhaps they would meet as civilians even. Something of fantasy hope, that things would be that...normal when all the dust was settled/ It was something nice to hope for as a result to this all ending, whenever it did. What would this man say though if he knew the teen, who was just letting his hand go, was a killer? It was that same feeling he got when he upset Tag, or at the idea of ever upsetting him. That feeling he got when he upset his own father or mother.
"Looks like you get to go play knight in shining armor." No pun intended of course, just the best way to put it.

The Squire nodded his head, hoping that it might indeed be the case. Peace sounded nice, but it was how that it was achieved that would make the difference. If it ever was, in the end. He would keep fighting his way, though.
He had to stay true to himself and his beliefs.
"It looks like I do. Try not to kill anyone while I'm down there saving lives. Might just cancel out the effort." He was making a joke, though it was a dry one. Still, he didn't realize that it was a fitting one for the occassion. He nodded his head again, then, almost reluctantly because he did have a feeling that he was letting a 'bad guy' go off to do 'bad things', he leaped away.
Someone was screaming for help. At the moment, that outweighed any reluctance about future people Benitoite might go out and attack. It wasn't like Camelot had it in him to ensure the Negaverse soldier couldn't go and do his job, anyway. It was one of the failings of talking, he found, though he was still working on it. If he didn't convince them of his side, and he hadn't yet of any of them, then when they parted it was usually to just go back and do what needed to be done.
In their case, back to draining energy and hurting people, the things Camelot wanted to stop. Never ending cycles, but he would not give up his efforts. One day they would make a difference.
He vanished from sight soon enough, running off down the street to find the victim in need.
