ÐισяєĿĿα Are you coming to get me?...... Rella served a smile at the little girl, who accepted her small candy. So, the two new guests are siblings, as expected. Somehow, she envied them, being an only child sometimes feel lonely and hard. Rella would always tag her mom and dad to give her a new playmate, a little sister whom she always wanted. Her sad eyes stared at Lily, "Nice to meet you Lily.. I have some candies on my bag..Inside this house. I'm willing to give it all to you.." pats Lily's head, rose from her knees and in return gave out a courteous nod to the other girl named Ava. If her guess is right, Ava is somehow a little older than her, a picture of a mature woman. 'Oh..When will I be like her?...' an every teenage girl dream. While Lily... the cute little girl is around 5 or 6 years of age. She snapped out from her daydreaming when Ava asked permission to let them in while carrying several bags weighed against her shoulders, where goes her good manners? she blushed.. "Oh!.. yes.. please do come in.. and let me help you with that.." reaching for the other bag and carried it by her both hands. To her dismay, it does weigh a ton or so.. Before they entered the house, a bothering sound was heard from behind.. If not mistaken, a big vehicle's engine.. Following Ava's turn, indeed it was a huge crowd going their way. Once more, she inspected those people to check if it's safe to welcome them or not. Well, looks like they are all humans, for good grief! Rella held out a sigh of relief.. Everything's under control and safe. "There's plenty of rooms here.. I guess Uncle Ryan would allow to cater everyone inside.." she smiled and at the same time, felt happy because there are more survivors than she expected. While holding Ava's heavy bag, her small feet took a few steps forward. It would be an honor to welcome them all, as a matter fact, the whole idea of having a large group of people won't hurt. Like they said: the more the merrier!.. Before she could be able to greet them, her eyes spotted someone whom she knew.. Rella paused for a while, trying to clear her vision.. A teenage guy appeared from the huge crowd.. Her hands starts to tremble and unintentionally slipped Ava's bag from her clutches.. She knew this man!.. Hurriedly, she dashed to meet them while waving her hand.. It was him! finally! "CAIN!!" Rella almost lost her balance trying to race down the bermuda grass. Almost a few inches away ,she stopped.. Trying to normalize her breathing.. She's not dreaming anymore.. Soon as Cain reached her place, her body start to shake trying to hold on her tears. Right in front of her eyes, stood a guy whom she's waiting for.. Rella held out her hands and touched his cheeks. It's warm alright... A small smile drawn over her face while her tears started to roll down from her eyes.. He's alive.. "I.. I.. thought I couldn't be able to see you again.. I'm so happy you're safe..Thank God!".. Something snapped out of her, what the hell is she doing????? her cheeks reddened and started to pinch hard Cain's cheeks.. So hard that he gave out a groan of discomfort.. Before he could react, her hand flew and slap against the poor guy's cheek.. "You're so stupid!!!" she muttered, then Rella started to cry out loud right in front of everyone.. "Waaaaaaaahhhhh!!! Where have you been?? I've been waiting for you and honestly I'm starting to lose hope if I'll be able to see you again..you moron! I thought.. I thought.. you'll be like those cold walkers and leave me behind----" she couldn't end her speech at all... her emotions starts to broke out.. ...'coz I'm too scared to be alone

Ava Stark Ava watched the scene between Cain and Rella. It was a little awkward to say the least. Lily tugged on her hand. With all the people outside and the promise of candy inside, it wasn't hard to tell where she wanted to be. Ava walked inside the large house, trying not to gawk. Seeing as she hadn't been invited by the official owner of the house, she wasn't sure if she should take a room. In stead she placed the tote down in the living room and carried the other to the kitchen. Lily was still on her heels. Ava had a feeling it would become a new habit of hers. "Good thing we brought food, huh?" She asked. Lily nodded. Ava dropped the bag on the counter, rubbing her shoulders. Lily tugged on her shirt. "Where's the candy?" She asked with wide, innocent eye." Ava knelt down and tickled her stomach. "In there." She said as Lily giggled. "And you don't need anymore in your tummy for a while." It was strange to sound so much like a mother. But Lily didn't need a trendy, hip older sister right now. She needed someone to watch out for her, to tell her everything would be alright. But it won't be alright. The cynical voice in her head reminded her. Not now, not ever again. Ethan's face flashed to her mind. She pushed it away. She could cry later, when Lily was sleeping and wouldn't be worried.

-x+x-Cain-x+x- Finally, Cain and Terrence managed to break through the wall of people surrounding the front door. His eyes were greeted by a girl about his age, who strangely enough looked very familiar to him. Maybe he'd met her on a trip? Or maybe it was through the internet. He honestly couldn't remember at the moment. Then, the girl started crying, with big crystal tears falling down her face. Then, she surprised Cain by reaching out and.....grabbing his face? No, she was just touching it, for some odd reason. Was this girl mentally sound? He knew that something as devastating and horrific as a zombie eating friends and family could be enough to push someone over the edge. Then, she started pinching his cheeks as hard as she could make her little hands pinch, so hard that he gave a little groan of pain and gently brushed her hands off of his face. If she WAS crazy, he didn't want to antagonize her by any swift movement. The girl paused for half a second, looking at him through eyes wet with tears, before suddenly gifting him a hearty slap to his face. 'What in the blazes?! She IS crazy!' he thought as he staggered from the unexpected blow. Then, he finally remembered where he had met this girl before. Diorella (Rella for short), the girl who had lived two houses down from him in the suburb he'd grown up in. They'd played together a lot when they were younger, and had gone to the same school as well. It couldn't be said that they were best of friends, but they both knew that they could trust each other. Overall, Cain and Rella had been pretty good friends, and Cain remembered Rella being rather distressed at his leaving for college, though he personally shed no tears. It wasn't that he hadn't been sorry to leave her behind, but hey, he would be back for the holidays, wouldn't he? But NOW, now she'd apparently gone over the deep end. As Rella sat sobbing, Cain directed his attention to the young woman with the small child standing in the doorway. Cain looked down and smiled and waved at the little girl clutching her mama's leg. "Cute little girl you have there, miss." he complimented the woman with the child. "How old is she?" He might as well begin meeting people. Connections could be very valuable later on in this whole mess. Cain shot a glance over to where the weeping girl was standing, and was met with the sight of the till-now-forgotten Terrence trying to console the young girl by meekly tried patting her on the back. Terrence honestly didn't know what to do in a situation like this, and obviously felt embarrassed that he even had the nerve to TOUCH the girl, but at least it would be better than just standing there watching her cry. Cain turned back to the woman and asked, "By the way, would you happen to know where the one who runs this little place is? I'd like to speak to him about housing my little mob here." [OOC: Millican, if there's not room enough in the house for all ma' college students, then I have something already planned for that, if you don't have something special in mind. PM me if you want to know specifics. And Net, I DO know that your characters are sisters....I'm just writing what Cain thinks.]

Ava Stark Ava stared at Cain in confusion for a moment before rushing to correct him. "Oh, Lily's not my daughter." She said with a little laugh. "She's my 4 year old sister." Lily nodded her consent. Ava ruffled her hair. She looked toward the window. "Are...are you the one leading that group?" He couldn't have been 2 years older than her. Not exactly the type to lead a large group of people to safety. But drastic times sometimes called for unorthodox leaders. He looked to be the forward type. Maybe he had rounded all of them up of his own volition. "Um...that girl..." She motioned to the door. "You two are...friends?" She said with a small laugh. Rella's reaction had been strange at best. Maybe she was always that way? "Boyfriend and girlfriend?" Lily piped up in an uncharacteristic display of boldness. Ava laughed again. As long as she could focus on the family she still had and not what she had lost, she would be okay. "I have no idea where the boss is." Ava said helplessly. "We just got here ourselves. The only person I've seen is Rella so far. And yourself, of course." [[OOC: I figured you did, Welsh. But there is like a 16 year age difference. A little confusion is understandable.]]

ÐισяєĿĿα Are you coming to get me?...... After a few moments of crying, Rella took herself a grip then stood up with fist clenched.. The boy who tried to console her seems shocked to see her recover easily. He haven't changed at all, being serious in such things and an ultimate slob. She dried her tears using the back of her palm and gave a courteous bow to the unknown fella and once more carried Ava's belongings.. As if nothing happened, she's already used to his behaviour and known him for that. Since they become neighbors and her childhood friend, her eyes always left on him..ONLY.. Maybe the lost of being an only child sure tries to find someone who could always notice and be with her while her parents are away from work. Well, Rella's parents are always gone for work and in the long run, leaving her with a nanny. If she wants to play with Cain, she would request her nanny to call Cain to come over and play with her. To be honest with, there's no other reason why she preferred hanging out with this boy than anyone else.. Well, maybe he just knew her too well.. Once more, Rella waved her hand, a sign for those people to come along with her.. Once they reached the front porch.,. She darted a heavy stare at Cain then made a "hmp" expression, ignoring him... After long months of waiting for him and heck this is all that she got?.. 'I'm sooo not going to talk with him!' her mind spoke out.. She won't forgive him either way.. How could he forget about her?? She heard Lily comment about them as 'boyfriend and girlfriend'.. She smiled at the little girl and pats her head while she knelt down to meet her.. "No... he's just a stupid dork" once more flashed a sharp glance towards the boy.. "Sweety, he's not my boyfriend..never indeed.." she sighed while patting the girl's head gently.. It won't happen.. right? Caim saw her as a sister ONLY...'Alrighty' she stood up and stretch her legs and went to the front door "I'll introduce you all to Officer Ryan..He's the one incharge in this safehouse.." Rella lead them all the way in the house.. She noticed her sketchpad lying on the sofa where Cain's portrait almost seen by anyone.. Immediately, she grabbed the said item and hope no one have seen it.. Her eyes looked for the Officer whom she's with... ...'coz I'm too scared to be alone

Officer Ryan Steele Ryan heard all the commotion outside, the sound of vehicles. Last time he checked zombies didn't drive cars....at least he hoped not. Suddenly there was a knock at the door, he watched as Rella made her way over to the door opening it to discover what appeared to be a mother and child. No wait...their ages looked too close to be that....probably sisters. That had to be it, he thought. He watched the interaction between them and Rella for a moment before slipping off into the kitchen. Looking over the place, he could tell that it had been awhile since anyone had prepared a real meal. The cobwebs on the stove giving it away. Walking over to the pantry, he opened the double doors and peered inside. Glancing over the array of cans neatly stacked on shelves, he thanked God that at least they had food. It wasn't near enough, but he knew that they could get by for awhile, even with the new arrivals. Suddenly he heard another vehicle approaching and the sound of a large group of people. Closing the pantry doors, Ryan went to the window and peered out to see a massive group approaching the house. DAMN, he thought...there's not enough room for all of them, much less the food to supply them all with. He stood there shaking his head back and forth. What were they gonna do now? The worst part was all the commotion and noise would attract THEM. Ryan noticed Rella running out to meet one of the newest arrivals. He watched as she grabbed his face before slapping him and breaking down into tears. He'd seen enough. He knew this wasn't good. Walking quickly and with a purpose, he made his way back through the house. Nodding with a smile to the young girl eating candy in the living room and her sister as he passed. Ryan stormed through the door, his brow furrowing in anger as he stepped out onto the porch and down the steps. "What the HELL! Could you people make any more noise? Don't you know how to be quiet. THEY have probably already heard you. I mean y'all have made enough racket to raise the dead....LITERALLY! I don't know what y'all were thinking but you need to get in the house quickly before it's too late. Rella! Get your friend and get in the house. I can't protect you out here. Turning he made his way back up the steps to the door. DAMN DAMN DAMN, he thought. We really don't have the room for all these people....somehow, we're just gonna have to manage I guess. Guess that old creed of "To serve and protect" applies even to the Apocalypse huh? Great, if we survive this I need to remember to shoot whoever came up with that line. Ryan stood at the door ushering people inside.

ÐισяєĿĿα Are you coming to get me?...... Startled, Rella almost jumped out from her place when she heard Officer Ryan's yell and told her to come inside quickly with the other people imperatively. She nodded and hurriedly assist everyone inside the house.. Staring at the officer, somehow she felt embarrassed from what she did.. 'Is he mad at me? from the tone of his voice.. I think he is..' A sincere apology might cool him down. But for now, they need to get them all inside just t be safe.. After ushering the whole crowd, Rella brought Ava's bag down to the couch then head upstairs to her room and throw herself against the bed.. She suddenly felt like sleeping. Nothing in particular, she just want to spend all day inside her room. Before that, her hand reach for her other bag and started to dig inside. Out of it, came out a plastic bag with assorted candies inside. Though, she felt bad from what have happened earlier between her and Cain, she promised Lily about her candies.. Might as well save this for later, all she wanted to do is stuck herself all day inside her room. Without seeing and talking with anyone.. gruuuummblleeeeeeee..... Looks like that sound comes from her poor tummy..Haven't eaten anything since last night. But right now, guess she had to skip meals first. Rella's not in the mood to eat anything and have a chitchat with the other fellas downstairs.. Soon enough, her eyes started to feel heavy drawing her to sleep.. After all, crying made it all stuffy and tired... ...'coz I'm too scared to be alone

Officer Ryan Steele Ryan was helping people inside, watching as Rella made her way upstairs. She looks tired, he thought. I guess watching the people you love turn into thoughtless killing machines would make anyone tired. He leaned back against the door, slumping just a little bit as he watched the remaining few stragglers gathering up belongings from the u-haul. That's when it happened....THEY appeared. Bursting through the tree line, drawn by the noise they came. Ryan didn't notice them until the screaming began. Jumping just a bit at the sound, he turned to see a mass of shambling monstrosities advancing on the house. "EVERONE...INSIDE NOW!!" he yelled. Ryan watched as one poor straggler who had been struggling with an unusually large suit case was set upon by the horde of walking dead. Why he was carrying such a heavy item, Ryan didn't know. In any case, it had proved to be the young man's undoing. Ryan hurriedly closed the door as the last person came inside, locking it behind him. "Not good not good not good", he muttered to himself.

-x+x-Cain-x+x- Cain smiled at her question of whether he was the leader of the group or not. "Well, not so much leader as wrangler. Besides, I can't take all the credit.", Cain said, gesturing over to where his companion stood, fidgeting. "...Terrence here helped out quite a bit. He was also the one who advocated that we help our classmates and teachers escape, when my first instinct was to simply get the heck out of there." Referring to Terrence as a leader might have been funny if Cain had said it with a sarcastic tone, but he apparently really meant it. "Haha, yes, we are. You could say we grew up together." he said as he reached up and ran his hand through the hair on the back side of his head. "Until we both went our separate ways, she lived two doors down from me in our subdivision." At Lily's mention of them being boyfriend and girlfriend, Cain just laughed. "No, sweety. We're just really good old friends." Suddenly, a man wearing clothes that indicated he was some sort of officer came flying out of the front door, and began yelling at them for being so loud. Ironic, in a way. However, he WAS right about all of this; the little group of college students and professors had been making a good bit of noise till now, let alone the noise the trucks had made coming in. Cain turned to his little group of followers and clapped his hands to get attention. "Alright, I need everyone to grab the few little things that you brought with you out of the trucks and get inside. Let's be quick about it." he said firmly, pointing over towards the two rental trucks. The crowd responded and began to quickly move over towards the place where Cain and Terrence had parked the two automobiles. Cain didn't seem to notice Rella's display of her disappointment in him. Honestly, he could deal with whether he had offended Rella later. He walked over to the truck as well in order to retrieve the bat he had stored in the front seat. Suddenly, nearby he heard a scream, as well as general confusion and commotion near the back of the truck. Then, he saw all around, zombies began coming out of the shroud of darkness that the nearby woods provided, their ghastly silhouettes seen lumbering across the grass towards the mass of live prey. A man's voice, the same one that had yelled at them for being so loud, called to them from the little house, "EVERYONE...INSIDE NOW!!" That seemed to be enough to organize the little group's thoughts. Cain inwardly thanked the officer (which Cain was pretty sure that's what he was, by his air and his uniform) for saving them from a potential panic. Cain gripped his bat tightly. He knew he had to do his best to get everyone to the house safe, and since the only thing he had was a bat, he'd accomplish his mission with a bat. He began wildly bashing any zombie that got close to the group. Admittedly, it probably wasn't the smartest thing he could have done, since he was really the only one fighting back, but then he'd always been a bit rash. Cain saw one student get mobbed with zombies because of the large load he carried. Dang fool, who taught him to pack that heavy, his mother? Anyway you looked at it now, though, the guy was dead, so Cain diverted his attention to attempting to ensure the safety of the survivors. Once everyone was inside the little house.....which had gotten a little crowded by now, Cain found Ryan among the sea of people and extended his hand to him in greeting. "Hey, my name is Cain. I'm probably who'd you call responsible for bringing these guys here. Just wanted to say sorry for causing that bit of trouble there, I honestly didn't know that noise attracted them. Just so we can avoid this in the future, is there anything else that does?" He looked away from the officer to the room full of people. "And by the way, if we're too big of a burden, we can be up and out in the morning. It's just too darn dangerous to travel at night anymore."

Ava Stark If Lily had been scared before, she was downright terrified now. The people burst through the door. There was screaming outside. Ava pulled her into the corner of the room and held her close. "It's okay." She said. She was thankful the noises of the people drowned out the moans of the undead. Lily buried her head against her sisters shoulder, little hands grabbing fistfuls of ava's shirt. "You're okay." Ava reminded her, stroking her back. "I won't let anything get you." Somehow, the act of keeping Lily calm kept her calm herself. Ava managed to get a glimpse of Officer Steele in the throng of people. By some miracle she was able to overhear Cain's comment. While it would probably be courteous of her to make the same offer, she wouldn't. Had she been here for her sake alone, she would've felt bad for taking up space and food. But she couldn't protect Lily anywhere else. She placed the little girl in a chair in the corner, far enough away from the mob. "Don't move, I'll be right back. Lily nodded, sniffling. Ava made her way to Officer Steele. "I don't know if this helps..." She said. "...but I brought a few supplies of my own." Granted, she'd only packed enough for two. But this was not the time to be greedy. "All I ask is my little sister gets enough to go by." Lily was and from now on would be her first priority. It was the only way she was going to keep her sanity in this chaos.

ÐισяєĿĿα Are you coming to get me?...... Almost half awake, a sudden series of screaming was heard from her window. It's coming from the yard! Hurriedly, Rella jumped off from bed and headed to the nearby window. True enough, she saw the hordes of monsters trailing from the woods heading their way to their safe house.. 'Oh no.... they're coming! they're coming to get us!' her body trembled involuntarily while her hands hold on to her lips, trying not to release a vibrant shriek from her.. One by one her memories from their vacation house come forth, seeing her parents brutally killed by those flesh eating carnivores. While her, almost be their next victim. It struck a tragic trauma onto her underlying soul. And now, they have spotted them! Must have heard her loud cry which drew their attention towards their hideout. It's merely her fault! Her knees began to feel weak while she propped her hand to support her body, preventing not to give in. Once more, strains of tears flowed from her eyes.. They all dashed inside leaving Cain, who heroically bashing the heads of the zombies trying to devour the last persons in line.. 'He was left fighting for his own life by those wimps!' Rella tried to hold onto herself, still shaking.. She reached for her bag and grabbed the small pistol, the one given by the officer. Holding on to it, she tried to aim the head of the other zombies who tried to reach Cain.. But, heck! she doesn't know how to use a gun.. Even her hands, are shaking and can't focus to her target. She's scared to hit Cain.. But luckily, he was able to freed himself from the scene and poor guy with a big luggage, caught by those hungry monsters.. She must do something useful..since its her fault anyway.. While Cain ushered the people inside, Rella tried to distract those fools, if she could only had a courage to pull the trigger.. 'Okay..here goes nothing...' wishing for a lucky star, her finger moved to pull the what so called miracle switch of the gun.. After she made a quick shot, Rella lost her balance.. she can't imagined this little toy's force is stronger than her frail arm.. Now the question is.... did she hit her target?.. ...'coz I'm too scared to be alone

Officer Ryan Steele Looking at the young man in front of him, Ryan sized him up. Looks like your average college student yet seems to be handling things relatively well, he thought. Hope he can continue to hold things together. "Cain, you need to be really careful. Those things have heightened senses...they can smell blood from miles away, kinda like a shark can in the ocean. You get cut or injured and those things will be on you like white on rice. So if you got injured, they need to be treated quickly or else there will be more of those things by morning. As for noise, looks like you already found out what happens when you get too loud. That poor kid." Ryan looked away and then lowered his head with sadness in his eyes. A moment later he raised his head and continued, "I'm afraid that you'll need to find another location as this one is so full now that we just don't have the supplies needed to house and feed this many people. I hate to put you out like that but it's not gonna do any of us any good if we all die of starvation in here. Of course it beats the alternative." Ryan pulled back the curtain on the window and peered outside for a moment mentally counting the number of walkers on the lawn. Ryan looked back at Cain letting go of the curtain as the young lady approached. She handed him a small bag of food asking that her sister be taken care of. Ryan nodded. "Not a problem," he said as he smiled at her. "I really appreciate this. Every little bit helps right now." So he had been right, he thought. The little girl was her sister and not her daughter. Hopefully her being here will help Rella as well. He knew that Rella felt a little uncomfortable being trapped here with no other females around. Maybe, he thought, they'll help her get over this depression that has gripped her so badly. He was concerned that Rella would always be haunted by her parents death. Shaking the thought from his head, he smiled at Cain and Ava. "Anyway, uhm....let me introduce myself. The name is Steele, Ryan Steele. I am....well i guess WAS is the more appropriate term now. I was a police officer. Cain, i need you to try to get your people to keep the noise down. Do what you can to make them comfortable. There are a few blankets and pillows in the downstairs closet. Ava, you and your sister can take the master bedroom upstairs by Rella's room. If you need anything let me know. I'll be down here keeping an eye on things. If we're lucky, we just might see the sunrise tomorrow. Either way, it's gonna be a long night." He went back to the window, pulling back the curtain to count walkers. 9 more already....this just keeps getting worse, he thought.

-x+x-Cain-x+x- Cain nodded his head in understanding at Ryan's advice. So, don't get any cuts, and don't be loud, and you wont attract any of the creeps. He made a mental note to himself to check the people in his group to ensure that anyone who had any injuries, minor as they might be, that they get them treated immediately. The young man smiled as Ryan Steele introduced himself, "Well, it's nice to meet you, Ryan. I only wish we could have met somewhere a little more at-ease than a safe house surrounded by the undead, but I suppose that can't be helped." Upon the officer's suggestion that he try and suppress the noise made by his little group, Cain said "Good idea. I'll check them over to make sure no one has any cuts, too." With that said, he walked off to the part of his group in which the most noise emanated. As he made his way over to the crowd, he noticed through a partially-open door Rella sitting on the floor, holding a gun in one hand. Cain's eyes almost bugged out of their sockets. Who in their right mind would give a gun to a little girl, and a disturbed one at that? Cain made his way over carefully towards the room, then entered carefully. He stood to the side of her, looking down and asked, "Um, should you really be allowed to have that gun? I mean, something like that is kind of dangerous for someone like you to be carrying around...."

ÐισяєĿĿα Are you coming to get me?...... 'Oh cmon.. you're better than that Ms. Diorella Cross!' she stared at the over thrown gun lying on the floor. She shouldn't surrender her faith now, and must do something to help out. Rella can't play the role as a 'princess' being protected by anyone. 'I can't be like this forever... if I want to live...' Before she take another shot, a deep toned familiar voice was heard from behind.. Just as expected..It's Cain.. Reaching for the gun, she stood up gently while regaining her balance. "Why not? this was given to me by the other officer downstairs.. He said I need to use this gun for my protection.." Once more, poses to take another try of luck. Aiming at the zombies head, Rella tried to focus on her target. Seems like those idiots are having a very good time devouring the poor boy's flesh, what's wrong with practicing? "I should have thought of using this kind of weapon back at home.. Dad would always tell me to keep one of his gun as my partner.." reminiscing the old times with her loved ones make her feel so gloomy. She could have at least listen to them when they're still alive. Another blast was heard, missed! darn it! She reloads the gun once more.. "I have to know how to use this gun properly.. I can't be like those other wimps staring at you risking your own life just to save them.. Dad and Mom died right in front of me..doing nothing!!!" her head turned to face Cain.. 'Blast! I feel like crying again!' she cleared her throat trying not to let him see how depressed she was.. And from what have happened earlier, if he would be caught by those zombies.. She would have a mentally breakdown for good.. Hence, the previous shot she made back there missed the spot.. What a good for nothing wrench she is! Still, with trembling hands, gripped the small pistol and tried once more to aim her target. If only she could tell her hands not to shake maybe it would be easier to manipulate her focus. She saw them.. those cold blooded creatures fiesting her parents' bodies.. 'How could they do this to me??..' Her finger pulled the trigger and another failure was made.. Finally, she gave up... her knees weakened while her body slowly lost its strength.. Holding the gun, Rella knelt and cried softly.. "I always end up being left out.. You.. Dad...and Mom.. I'm still not ready to go out alone.. I'm sooo scared... Just for this once... I've done something right.." ...'coz I'm too scared to be alone

Ava Stark "Thank you. Officer Steele." Even though the position was a moot point, it was a relief to know there was a man used to being in the line of fire in charge. "I'm Ava Stark. My sister's Lily." She wondered why they were given the master bedroom. Perhaps because there were two? She paused for a minute. "Do they all have to leave?" She thought about her brother, rushing to get out before he turned. But they weren't infected. They just needed a place to stay. "Is there another place they can go?" She was probably pressing her luck. The last thing she wanted was to get herself and Lily kicked out. She felt a tug on her hand. "Lily, I told you to stay put." Lily hugged Ava's leg anyway. "There's a lot of people here." She said simply. Ava sighed, smoothing Lily's hair with one hand. "I know, sweetheart." She said softly. "We'll go upstairs in a minute, I promise."
