Jericho rolled his eyes at Vieve's attempt to bait him.

"I've handled things tougher and more dangerous than some go-kart track," he said, "Between the school field trips, that damn Trial by Fire obstacle course, and a few other things, it'd be kind of pathetic on my part to be scared. Hell if that were the case I'd probably be too scared to fly."

His wings flexed a bit at that last statement.

"That's a good thing, isn't it? You'd probably be the best person around to set the track up, then."

She looked over as he flexed his wings. Part of her was irritated, the other envious. Why did he get to keep his wings, when she didn't? And hers looked better, too! Vieve wasn't about to point that out, though- she didn't.. want to be beaten up.

But speaking of beat.. as much as he'd seemed affected by losing, he hadn't suggested a rematch. If it had been up to her, she'd race him until she won..

Though, she had won. Both times. Maybe he was the sort who worked hard, but wasn't particularly talented or lucky..

"I'm not the one you should go to for building things. The guys currently in charge of the Mad Science class are better for that," Jericho said in a matter of fact tone. If it weren't for Christof, he wouldn't even been able to really get started on building the Terror Warrior course. Sure he could help hammer things and whatnot, but when it came to figuring out how to set something up? That wasn't where his strengths lied.

Frowning, he soon shook his head and turned his attention back to SkeeV.

"Anyway. Rematch."

She had to momentarily wonder what he was good at. Looking scary.. probably. Gathering treasure? Vieve glanced over at the pile again, suppressing the jealousy she felt.

No matter! This was nothing compared to what she'd have in the future..... slightly lost in her daydreaming, Jericho's words brought her back to the moment.

"Sure," she said, waiting for him to restart the game. She wasn't going to pursue the thing about the races, anymore- she could sense there wasn't anything she could get out of him- but yes! At least he'd given her a suggestion. Mad Science class, huh?

Going to have to check that out...

Nodding, Jericho's game face soon returned to his features as he got the next round set up. Alright. This time, he was determined to not make any mistakes. Or at least as few mistakes as he could manage.

He picked out his character and the track, then waited for the race to begin.

From the start, he blazed on ahead, making each of the turns with precision. It wasn't perfect but he came pretty damn close.

Vieve's kart crashed MISERABLY the minute she began the game, and she found herself unable to navigate, heading instead in the opposite direction.

Even though she finally managed to go the right way, as the game progressed she grew even more agitated, finding it difficult to concentrate.

%(*@$#(*@)!!!

"REMATCH," she demanded, not even looking at Jericho. The girl was seething with rage. Wasn't it third time luck--- oh, lucky for Jericho. She'd make sure to get him, if they played again....

Hisssssss.

Coming in first place, Jericho grinned as he finally managed to do well. It certainly didn't take long before Vee demanded that they have another round. He raised an eyebrow at her, before nodding.

"Sure thing," he said as he got the next round set up.

This time around, he didn't do horrendously or spectacularly. He fudged up here and there, but he wasn't about to come in dirt last.

Two seconds. Or two milliseconds. Vieve wasn't really sure what those numbers meant, but she was very, very, very aware of the fact that Jericho had won, again.

No way she would take this lying down. The salamander was going to play for as many more times as it took to win. Besides, she was rather fond of the dragon's room, if not the dragon himself.. there was that lava pool somewhere nearer the back...

"Rematch," she said, a little more softly this time, but also somewhat threateningly.

Well that was fairly satisfying to see that he didn't lose to the salamander again. Still, he felt he could have done a little better over all. Hearing for another rematch, he shrugged and started up the next race.

Quite frankly, he didn't do too hot this time around. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that a part his his hand was itching a fair amount. It was pretty damn distracting. Enough that by the time the race was over, he didn't really care because he was able to scratch the back of his hand finally.

She didn't just beat him. No.

She beat the game. The ****** game. Losing twice was more than enough- this time, the salamander focused so hard on the game she was practically in a state of zen. She could see clearer than she ever had before. Move quicker.

In a sort of delirious state, Vieve turned to Jericho, dazed.

"I think we can call it a day," she beamed. "Thanks for letting me play, Jericho."

Later, she would probably regret it; it seemed Jericho had gotten her somewhat addicted to games- the very thing she'd considered stupid. Racing on a screen? Whatever! But that beautifully shiny FIRST PLACE on the screen, under her name?

It was maybe worth five minutes of her time. Or more.

Looking back at the screen, Jericho frowned as he saw that Vee had managed to ace the course. It annoyed him, but whatever. He was starting to get a little tired of playing this particular game. Glancing over at the Salamander, he got on up and stretched brieftly.

"'Yeah, sure thing," he said in a fairly neutral tone. At least the girl wasn't jumping around boasting like a fool right now.

The dragon then waited for her to get on up as well so he could show her out.

She stood up as well, casting one last glance towards the treasure pile. If only, she thought to herself- if only your owner were as interesting as you! A gold coin sparkled, as if winking at her, and her heart hurt just a little bit.

Maybe someday she'd get a chance to inspect it more closely; for now, though, she'd take her victory with her- it was enough. Now that the high from winning was fading away, though, realisation that she'd spent maybe hours- terribly unproductive hours- sitting in front of a TV screen hit.

Vieve would have to make up for lost time, somehow. Letting Jericho show her out, she thanked him again for the game, then left.

Whooooooooo. Time for some treasure-hunting... she had a lot to catch up to. Beating him at a silly game didn't mean that much- she would beat him at treasure, too.
