Who was the Brigadier? I don't know or don't remember.

He was one of the classic companions, and I mean CLASSIC. Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart was one of the founders of UNIT, and essentially the Doctor's boss for a while. He knew the Doctor from his Second to Seventh incarnations, and... oh, screw it, here's the Wikipedia page: [x]

Basically, though, Nicholas Courtney (the actor who played him) died earlier this year (just before Elisabeth Sladen, I think), and I just found it very moving that they payed tribute to him in this episode.

I personally had thought that the Doctor would have to use the Elixirs of Life with the biological signature, but I would have been dissapointed the Doctor had to use them so early.



    I think I would have preferred that, actually.
    Now that we know it was the Doctor inside the Tesselecta the whole time,
    the wedding, the kiss, his promise to forgive her "always and completely"
    has less meaning. emotion_donotwant

But he was commanding the Teselecta. He only went up to the window to say hi to River.

    That is moving.
    I have to rent the old series and watch it
    because my internet isn't reliable enough for me to watch it on here,
    if it even is available somewhere online.
    But I really, really want to bring the background to the new episodes.
    I know it would enrich my experience greatly.

this episode was so confusing!!!! especailly in the vbery beginning and the end but i still loved and i still cried
