“You were saying?” She said half a tease, but the crystals were beautiful nonetheless. It was like some enormous geode, though she’d never worried about slipping and impaling herself on the inside of a Geode. She was a little more worried about that now given the height of her heels.

There was little for MuCephei to worry about, actually. The ground was even, perhaps oddly even, in a way. A glance downward would prove that yes, the rock had been worked this way deliberately, smoothed out with only vague swirls as patterns. There were no irregularities her heels could get caught into, and the path headed downward in a gentle slope.
"That's..." Amazing ? Weird ? Nuts ? Perhaps all three, perhaps even more, but the words refused to come out. He headed down the path, a more easily kept up pace this time.
Those crystals were so big... They...
'Now now... Don't cry...'
Naica blinked. Uh...
...Must have been his imagination. Mu didn't look like she'd heard anything. Through there was a glimmer, in the spire a few paces away, that caught his attention.
For a moment he thought...
"...Did you see that... ?"

She shook her head marveling still at the large crystals that rose like a branchless forest around them, she kept her steps cautious even with the smooth floor, it would never do to let your guard down in a strange place no mater how well time had preserved the heart of it.
“Beautiful…” She whispered. Strange but beautiful, that was the simple truth of it. “I didn’t see anything but the Crystals.” She added tilting her head in curiosity.

"Did you..." He hesitated, fear of looking silly or even crazy overtaking him for a brief moment, but... really, they were standing in the middle of gods knew where in space, somehow able to breathe and survive just fine, and she'd said she'd done something like this at least once.
How crazy could anything sound at this point.
"Did you... see things, when you went on MuCephei ? Hear things ?"
'Don't cry for me, darlin'. Tell you... Bright... Stars...'
Uh. "....That one was fuzzy. Something about bright stars..."

“Not, heard things.” She said thoughtful again, “I want to say, I remembered them, like déjà vu. I remembered being there; I remembered the sounds the wells in each house made. It was strange but familiar at the same time.”
“Maybe follow what you’re hearing? Maybe it’s you remembering something that happened a long time ago the way I do on MuCephei?”

"Im not sure where it came from..." And sure enough, now it was gone. Everything was quiet again, beside the sound of their breathing, their steps - the only step to grace this place in... gods knew how long ?
"It's gone now." But there was something else, as they continued forward. A glitter of gold...
A ring ?
"...I just saw a ring." One gloved hand reached to the crystal, and sure enough there was only smooth coldness under his touch - the vision was gone. "It felt... important. I think I have to find it."

She glanced at his face unsure what to say, then nodded softly. If he felt they must find it, then that was what they were going to do. “Any idea where to look?” She asked softly. “Maybe we should come back with flash lights or something like it?”

"Maybe..." He had to admit that looking for a ring in a cave with little light beside what the crystal reflected was most likely a bad idea, but...
Call him crazy, but...
"Down there." Somehow he simply... had an hutch, a feeling. Much like she'd said, it was strange but familiar all at once.
The path ended at what looked like a writing desk - heavy, leather bound tomes resting there still. Naica stepped forward to clear the heavy layer of dust from the top of one, revealing the brown leather underneath in closer to what had once been it's glory.
Carefully, it was opened, and he the words on the page were not words that he recognized - through the notch in the cover seemed obvious. "You've got to be kidding me..."
Sure enough, once opened, the ring slid right out. "...I used to do this kind of thing when I was younger..." He said, suddenly a bit weirded out. "Anyway... How do we go home?" He looked back at Mu and... well, hoped she knew.
Because if she didn't, then they might have a problem...

“I… try concentrating on being back?” She said hesitantly, she had a good idea of how to get home from her world but no idea how to get home as a ‘Knight’. On some level she thought it might be as instinctual as it had been for her, that subtle ‘right’ feeling that came of doing such things but there was no way to be sure unless he tried. If he was going to be a Knight, a good knight, a strong one he’d need to learn to try, and she had faith that he could and would do so.

This was thrilling and scary all at once, to have no damn idea what he was doing. This was something he hadn't truly felt in weeks now, used as he was to surround himself with familiar things - books, music, school.
Little of what he actually knew could actually apply to this.
He nodded, through, and took her hand, as if afraid he might accidentally leave her here. The ring felt heavy in his hand, much heavier than it actually should be. Another mystery, through with what he'd seen, it gave him an idea...
He closed his eyes, and with a small flash, the two were gone, leaving their footprint as the only proof that, for a brief instant, this place had been inhabited as it had once been.
