Hel stopped doing anything at the moment and just stared at Freya intently. Adjusting the pillows, being quiet, sitting down…all tell tale signs that something was up.
When the older valkyrie finally spit it out, Hel grimaced. “…Oh…” Was her lame response, a hand coming up to rub the back of her neck. The ghoul was aware that something had been going on with the reaper and her oldest sister ever since Freya refused to…give him something…but she honestly didn’t expect to hear marriage already. But knowing Sif…it was probably an attempt to just get back at Freya as well. “…Ah…are…our presences required?” Hel didn’t know why she even bothered asking. The answer would most definitely be yes.

Freya's response to the question was for her to look up at a shelf, and then reach out and pick up two very badly crunched envelopes. She flung them haphazardly at Hel without looking, and rested back on the couch cushions, staring up at the ceiling.
"Takes a wild guess."

Hel knew better, she really did, but she couldn’t help from asking the question anyways.
The reaper watched as her sister flung the crumpled envelopes at her, noting that one was addressed to her, and picked it up. Ugh. She knew that writing. Sif. Hel grimaced once more as she opened up the envelope, as if it might bite her, and started to read. Ugh. The condescending and patronizing tone…it was even apparent in an invitation. The ghoul was quiet as she read it all the way through, her frown growing even more. “…We…are encouraged to bring two guests as well?” Her brows furrowed. That wasn’t an act of kindness on her sister’s part, oh no, Hel knew exactly what she was allowing them to invite guests.
So she could humiliate them in front of their friends.
The ghoul let out a sigh, pausing when Vili, still perched on her shoulder, licked her cheek. She reached up to give the Fox Fire a pet before tossing the letter back on the floor. The reaper was quiet for a long moment, mulling over this information, and gave a small chuckle. “..Oi…sister…if I do not go to her wedding, she will not come to mine, right?”

"Hah. Of course we are. She wants to makes fools of us." The venom had suddenly thickened in Freya's voice, as she continued to stare at the ceiling. Hel's next words had her chuckling in vacant, distracted laughter, and she nodded.
"Ja, I suppose."
A moment of silence passed before that sunk in.
Freya's head slowly lifted from it's position, and both of her eyes thinned to focus on her sister.
"Who's my crumpet marrying, then, that she's plannings out the guest lists already?"

Never not fools to their oldest sister. Never not.
Hel reached up to pet Vili again, smirking lightly as her sister gave a vacant chuckle. Her smirk widened when Freya’s eyes narrowed and then she asked, and Hel couldn’t help but laugh. The reaper gave a small roll of her shoulders dismissively, watching as Vili shifted to stay on his perch. “Never too soon to think about the future, eh, sister?” Hel retorted, grinning lightly for a moment before it faded.
“…Would you bring a guest, sister?” As much as they probably shouldn’t, to spare the friends from the wrath of Sif…the idea kind of appealed to Hel too. Not subjecting them to Sif, but returning home with a friend…showing the friend her home, where she grew up…introducing the friend to other members of the family…

The idea may have appealed to Hel, but it did not appeal to Freya. "HAH. No." She growled, slowly putting her head back down though her eyes remained firmly stationed on her sister. "I do not has plans to bring anyone. Sif must suffice with makings me feel like s**t, alone."
She finally looked away, though she still seemed troubled. "And yeh, little crumpet? Will yeh brings someone to the circus?"

Hel was disappointed when Freya said she wouldn’t bring anyone. “Aww, but sister!” She whined, “What about…ah…Herryk, I believe? The boil you were very friendly with at the concession stand. I imagine he’d be well received back home…”
The younger valkyrie was quiet for a long moment, thoughtful, when Freya turned the question back on her, rolling her free shoulder thoughtfully. “…I…I think I’d ask Mot if he would like to attend!” She replied after a moment. Out of everyone she could ask…he’d be the only one, honestly. She felt the closest to him out of all her friends thus far at the Academy, and the cowboil would seem to enjoy the prospect of a party, hopefully. If she brought him though…she’d have to fend the family off of him…Poor skinny cowboil.
“Heh…only if he wanted though…I wouldn’t force that on anyone.” She gave a laugh then.

A tumult of emotions passed through Freya's eyes when she mentioned Herryk, but she finally settled on a narrowed glance, and a well hidden mask of emotion.
"I says I brings no one, Hel. That means no one. Not even the big baby boils." Her lip was pulled in to her teeth, and she chewed on it nervously. This expression dropped instantly when she mentioned Mot, however. "The cowboil?" Freya's voice hitched higher at the end of her words, and her stare widened.
"Hmm."
The sound was judgemental.
"What's the skinny cowboil to yeh, my little crumpet?"

Freya was saying one thing, but Hel was thinking another.
Bring him.
She’d have to think about this more after they returned from that field trip…until then, not much could be done about the subject. Hel’s lips quirked when she caught sight of her sister nervously chewing on her lip. There was definitely something going on there…and it needed to be further explored and nurtured…and she was just the valkyrie to do it…The reaper’s amused expression flattened out though as Freya’s tone hitched higher at the mention of Mot and then turned judgmental. She didn’t like it when Freya got that tone…
“He is a good friend.” Hel replied without skipping a beat. “One of the first I met here at the Academy, and my training partner…as well as my neighbor.” Where was her sister going with this…?

Freya settled back down, digesting the information she was given. "I am just surprised, my little sister. To takes someone to a wedding, like, a date," Her eyes flickered to Hel, and away, "It means this persons is important."
Freya stood up reluctantly, and got back to work unpacking. She made sure to 'accidentally' step on the invitation as she walked. "I should gets to know him better, hah? He better be worth my crumpets time."
Then again, in her opinion, no one was.
Freya unpacked another fur throw, wrapping it around herself and soaking in the feeling of home.

Hel turned her head a bit away from Freya as she felt a very small blush rise to her cheeks at the word date. Luckily, the blush hardly showed up on the dark side of her skin, and that was the side exposed to the older valkyrie at the moment. “Bah…sister, friends bring friends to weddings! It’s not an uncommon occurrence!” Hel retorted, “Friends are important, yes?”
She watched as Freya stepped on one of the invitations, and raised a brow. “I don’t bother with others who aren’t worth my time.” Hel scoffed, and turned around as she got back to work on finishing up the couch. She wasn’t sure if she liked…how interested Freya was getting in this…hmm…she’d have to keep an eye on her dear sister.

Friends bring friends to weddings... Freya tried her hardest not to smirk. Instead, she buried herself so deep into a big box that her legs slipped and she fell in, flailing upside down in it. Thankfully, it was just a box filled with pillows. Unfortunately, that still meant she was stuck.

“Ah…and done…!” Hel announced proudly, turning around so that she could receive some praise from her older sister…only to find Freya half in the box.
Hel snorted, and then laughed, loudly. She laughed for a good few minutes before finally deciding to come over and ‘help’ her sister out. “Problem, Freya?” The younger valkyrie mocked, a devious grin coming to her face as she look at Vili, who looked back at her and started to wag his tail. The ghoul reached out with a foot and placed it on the box, and with a hearty shove, knocked it over onto its side, watching as the pillows spilled out, along with her sister.

Freya did not respond to the question, but she did let out a scream when the world tipped over and she tumbled out of the box. She lay flat on her back on the pillows, knocking the box away and glaring at her sister.
"Gonna pack yeh in one of these boxes in a minute, send yeh down a flight of steps, see if yeh has a problem." She grumbled, rubbing her back with one arm.
"All right, now yeh tells me, how is things going for yeh in this school? I liked yehr letter, but now I'm here to hear more!"

Hel just laughed. “I love you too, dear sister.”
She came over and started to pick up a few pillow, tossing them onto the newly made couch, giving a thoughtful hum. Hel perked up when questioned about her school experience so far. “Ah! Yes!” She started excitedly. “Well, you remember that Mad Science class I told you about? That concluded…it was actually taught by…uh…the student who…had the hose?” Jack damn it…she didn’t remember his name, was it evern mentioned? What should she called him? “…Professor Patches!” Totally not right, but it would do…besides, it had a nice ring to it! “We battled robots we made, and my robot battled a fellow student’s and won!” Hel grinned widely. “And then all the winners had to battle Professor Patches’ robot…and they all banded together and fought valiantly to bring it down, but no little robot walked away from it.”
Here the ghoul gave a wistful sigh. “But I shall remember my brave and heroic little robot always, he died a very noble and honorable warrior’s death. I also tried out for the Brute Ball team and made it! I am the safety!” The reaper kept chattering away at her sister. “We had a few practices already, and we were suppose to have a game, but it was postponed…which is probably in part to that field trip that is coming up.”
