Lattice didn't see the grin luckily but she heard the chuckle. The ghoul tilted her head at this reaction but hoped an answer would come out of it no matter what happened.

She took the information in when it was given and just sat there in silence the hands toying at her sash stilling and her lips parted a little not quite catching the promise made to stop teasing her so really, in all likelihood, Freya could tease her nonstop. The only thing she heard was the definition of a '******** buddy' and she was trying to comprehend it, "Does it have to be in a bed?" her naive and innocent nature peeked through with this question.

The Engraver nodded a bit, "It is what my Clan does we put tattoos on the skins of others though we aren't supposed to do so for everyone," she replied with a small shrug. "The tattoos must have a special significance and usually only done for other clans."

The couch was brought up and it brought her attention back toward it her hand reached down to pat at the soft cushions, "I like it a lot it is very soft like a cloak I once wore..."

Freya looked genuinely surprised that Lattice wasn't blushing like a little ghoul at the topic, once she'd explained it. It seemed she wasn't so easy to tease, after all. Maybe Freya would have to try harder. Not today, though. "I suppose it doesn't has to be in bed. We could do it ons this couch, or ins the ocean, but most people do it ins the bed. Easier to bends the body to your likings, I guess." It wasn't a topic she really knew about, but it wasn't hard to guess. Nor was it a topic she would dwell on, for too long.

"Only for your clans, hah?" Freya murmured in disappointment. She'd loved the idea of getting a tattoo, and quite frankly was about to ask Lattice to give her one - but it seemed special. Holy, even. Maybe not something she would want to just do for a friend. And that made Freya sad. "Ach, well. Suppose I cans just figures it out on my own." She muttered to herself, suddenly sliding down until she was laying in the couch once more. She sunk in, closed her eyes, and let out a little groan of comfort. "Yeh can come lay on my couch anytime yeh want, little Lattice." Freya bubbled out from the slowly sinking crevice she was starting to disappear into.

She took in this information quietly and just sat there a frown soon followed after a moment, "I have indirectly touched two people in the area mentioned or at least close to it. Does that count? Also they did not cry out my name in ecstasy." She tilted her head, "does that make them my ******** buddy or did I do it wrong because they did not cry my name?"

Lattice was thinking about this way too hard.

"Well not just my clan but any clan at all," she smiled lightly, "any of them that do not have a skin artisan to do so for them." That was a distinction that was important to make she supposed though as she listened and heard the disappointment she frowned thoughtfully her face tilting down toward the figure that was now laying down upon the couch, "I would give you a tattoo if you truly wanted one bad enough. We are friends after all," perhaps not dear friends but hopefully they could grow into that, "but if you told anyone about it...I'd get in trouble."

It didn't seem like she had to add that it would be kept a secret after she said that.

Lattice smiled lightly at the offer, "Thank you, I appreciate it. I will come visit you often," she promised in a tone that was almost cheerful.

Still sinking into her couch, Freya pulled a pillow (the owl pillow in fact!) out and placed it right on her face, to keep the laughter in. Lattice was the best. She wanted to keep her forever and try to explain ******** buddies to her for all time. Could she do that? Maybe. Freya was not hard to make friends with, but she could easily see herself falling head over heels in best friendship with this ghoul. She was, quite simply, ******** don't thinks it counts if you didn't means to touch them, no. But my goodness, Lattice! I didn't know you go all outs like that! Maybe we cans have our own fun sometimes after all!"

But her laughter died when Lattice mentioned the tattoos, and she pulled the owl off and looked up at the ghoul, suddenly sober and legitimately in awe.

"You woulds do that for me?" Freya whispered, trying with little grace to wiggle out of the hole she'd melted into and sit back up beside Lattice again. "I mean, I woulds never tells anyone, of course I wouldn't!" She gasped in adoration, both her hands coming to her mouth. "But, ach, you would really do that? Just for me?"

She looked like she was going to cry - except, she wasn't. Because Freya didn't cry.

The amusement was not lost on Lattice but the reason for the amusement was lost on her and oddly enough it didn't bother the Engraver. For some reason it just felt harmless to her it wasn't like Freya was going to run around make fun of her in front of everyone for whatever reason she was amused at lest Lattice would hope not.

Lattice blinked behind her mask at the concept of having fun, "We aren't having fun now?" she asked with a tilt to her head the idea of 'going all out' also baffled her for some reason, "Well I just...One needed me to tear his clothes for bandages and the other wanted to show me what he was wearing it wasn't wrong to do that, was it?"

The Engraver nodded, "Of course I would because I think we'll be good friends for...forever I hope." Lattice hoped her clan would let her keep her school friends after all was said and done otherwise this would all end in heartache.

Should she tell Freya that she and Hel had also made a similar arrangement? For now she kept it to herself.

Both boils. Lattice was such a bad ghoul! Freya would have never guessed it. "Nah nah, nothing wrongs with that even if it was a little bit on purpose, yeh know? It was probably nice to touch, yeh? No harm in the touchings. Look, I show yeh." She reached out, and carefully - CAREFULLY - guided Lattice's hand over, resting the palm on her stomach. Then she placed her own hand on top, and moved Lattice's hand so that the engraver was rubbing her tummy. "Likes a puppy!" She giggled, letting the ghoul's hand go.

Freya's face pinched with emotion when Lattice hoped for them to be good friends forever. She was so excited about the idea, she could hardly contain herself. "Lattice, I makes a solemn swear that I wills be your friend forever. The Brynhildrs never go back on their swears. Never." She took this all very, very seriously.

"So tattoos!" Freya flopped back down to lay on the couch, and lifted her bare legs up to look at them critically. "What would Lattice suggest, hah? Something that says strong, fierce, unbreakable." Her face soured just slightly at the next word. "Unbeatable."

Obviously she hasn't had a conversation of good touch and bad touch with her Elders other than the obvious bad touch where one goes to hurt someone with intent to kill or otherwise. Lattice simply shrugged, "I didn't intend to harm them if that is what you mean." Lattice let Freya show her and blinked as her hand ended up on the Valkyrie's stomach. After a couple of guided rubbing motions the Engraver took it up on her own rubbing at the stomach in a circular motion there was something oddly comfortable about this. As long as she didn't rest her arm on Freya and neither of them made sudden movements this was safe.

"Engravers never go back on their words either," She said firmly with a small nod. "I swear to always be your friend forever as well."

There Pact made.

Lattice turned her gaze toward the legs when they seemed to be lifted and uttered a soft thoughtful humming sound, "I do not know, Freya. It really depends, people pick animals that represent those ideas and others pick symbols or items. It really depends on what speaks to you. It is something that will mark your body always. It is best for you to pick what you can live with."

Freya looked distracted. Who wouldn't be, when someone was rubbing your tummy? There was a reason puppies always flipped over for it, it was nice. Comforting. Maybe a little childish, but there was no one to make fun of them for it. She just sunk into her couch and enjoyed the moment.

"Mmm. I likes horses, I guess. Or, ahh, hmm. Something I can live with, hah?"

There were few things in her life that she knew she could live with forever. One was her sister, Hel. The other was.. a secret. And the third was her massive, overcompensating weapon. This last one gave her a brilliant idea.

"AIYA!" She jumped up suddenly in excitement, to go summon her weapon, but it was the quick enough movement to cause trouble between the two. Lattice's arm needle sliced a thin razor line right across the side of her stomach as she did so, and she dropped back down and hissed.

"Oh, nooo.." She whined, sounding incredibly guilty. "Lattice, I thinks I mades a booboo.."

It was a nice bonding moment between the two of them. Lattice rubbing her friend's stomach like she was a puppy and them just talking about tattoos and what to get, it was very nice to just talk like this.

"Horses are pretty powerful creatures," Lattice agreed with a nod not really thinking much further on it than that since Freya didn't seem settled upon it just that. The Engraver startled at the sudden exclamation and then flinched when she felt her needle bump against Freya for a brief moment she hoped it just caught some fabric or something but as soon as she saw the slice she frowned deeply.

She moved a bit closer to her once Freya flopped back down, "May I see? I am so sorry Freya. I should have been more watchful..." Guilt ate Lattice up entirely now.
PostPosted: Fri Sep 30, 2011 3:27 am

"YOU should have been careful? I was the stupids who went all AWHAA and jumped up likes I hads the jumping beans in my pants!" She reached up and cupped Lattice's cheek in her hand fondly. "It's my faults! You just don't worry, not one bits, I will go get bandaids. You sits and relax!"

She hopped back up, this time making sure it was safe before doing so, and moved the few steps necessary to head to the washing area. There was a wooden bowl, and she held it under the running sink to fill it with water before dipping a small hand towel in it to dampen it. "You sees? It was nothing but a scratch! Very tough, we Brynhildr ghouls are. We takes more than a little scratch like this before we feel anythings!" She patted the thin red line, and eventually dried it off and placed three bandaids across it in a row. They looked kind of silly, but who cared? The real problem was that her dress was cut now... and she didn't want the tear to get worse.

She gave Lattice a quick, wary glance, before deciding - after all, the ghoul said she couldn't see, right? So undressing in front of her shouldn't really be an issue. Hell, Freya would have still done it even if she could see. This just made it less awkward.

The little blue dress dropped to her feet in a moment, and she filtered through her closet looking for another. "What does Freya feels likes wearing today.. aiya! This black one, just likes your hair!" She dropped the little dress over her head, and it fell into place. A tug here and there, and she was good as new.

"I tells you whats I was going to say when I gots up, okay?" She came back to the couch, but stood in front of Lattice this time. Her hand crooked in an odd gesture, and she flared it across herself, summoning the massive weapon she called her own. When it had solidified, Freya held it proudly out to Lattice. "Looks, it is my scythe! Reaper weapons, but mines is best of course. Takes it, maybe it gives some ideas?"

Lattice leaned her cheek into the hand it was soothing, comforting. It was a sort of touch she didn't get often back at the manor. It felt nice and it was nicer because it was an affectionate touch from a friend, "But I...hurt you," she murmured softly it was her only protest about the whole situation. Indirectly or not she had hurt her Freya.

She let the Valkyrie go still frowning a little bit at the fact that Freya had gotten hurt in the first place her fingertips toyed at her sash once more still feeling a bit of guilt though she was glad that the other ghoul didn't seem upset at her or anything. Lattice smiled lightly, "Yes, very strong. I admire that in you and Hel both," the Engraver adored people with strength in them, strength to carry on despite pain and worries. Her cheeks tinged slightly as Freya commented on what she would now be wearing in terms of color but the fact that she had undressed in front of the Engraver didn't seem to have any affect.

Engravers 'saw' a lot of nudity in their days at the manor.

Freya had Lattice's full attention when she came back to the couch and announced that she was going to tell the Engraver what she was about to say. She stared as the weapon was summoned and when it came into being the shapes and things she could see enthralled her when it was held out to her she reached out to gently take it after hesitating at first wondering if it was truly alright. Lattice carefully settled it upon her lap for the moment before her fingertips started to trail along the shaft of the scythe before leading up to the blade for the moment. The weapon looked gigantic upon the Engraver's lap, the ghoul was careful and gentle with it.

"Is very nice, ja? Papa says the weapons are reflections of whats we are inside. If you feels here, you sees it has a lot of curves, and details." She led Lattice's hand to the bottom of the scythe, where the knot of curlwork was at it's greatest. It was a round, detailed cage of curves and design, and she was rather proud of it.

"Maybe it means something abouts me! But I am thinking, maybe something likes this would look nice as a tattoo. Do you agrees?"

"It is very lovely. All the shapes and details. I think I could really work with this," She murmured and let Freya lead her hand toward the next part of the scythe and blinked a little as her fingertips trailed around these parts, it was really quite intriguing! She quietly nodded at the question, "Yes it would be quite lovely. I shall work on some designs for you based on this," Lattice promised with a small smile.

She quietly and gently moved to give the Scythe back over to Freya, "Do Reaper weapons have names? I confess I do not know much about Reapers," other than that she shouldn't be this close and friendly to Freya, Mot, or Hel but Lattice disagreed with those thoughts.

"They do, actually." Freya hesitated, reaching down and retrieving her scythe, and holding it gently in her own hands. Her eyes rested on the blade, sharp and glimmering. "Papa says they speaks to us, they tells us their names when we first summons them. But I.. ah. Well. My sister has founds her name. Mine has not spokens to me yet. It's all right, though!" She was quick to brush away the soft sadness in her voice. "One days it will. Maybe if I gets tattoo, it wills choose to speaks to me, yes?" The idea brought a glimmer of hope to Freya's eye.

"Ja, I thinks this is the best ideas I ever has! Lattice, you will helps me hear the voice of my weapons, with your talents."

She leaned down and kissed Lattice soundly on the forehead.

The sound of sadness in Freya's tone tugged at Lattice's heart as she listened. Lattice smiled a little, however, when Freya started to sound more hopeful and less sad she nodded a bit, "I will do whatever is in my power to help you, Freya," Lattice's voice became momentarily firm and sincere. Even if she had to sacrifice a part of herself in the process she'd help Freya.

Lattice giggled softly, "You never seen my work but then again if you see my arms I guess that is the best example I have for it right now."

The feel of lips against her forehead made her eyes close briefly behind her mask and a small tinge appear over her cheeks, the Engraver actually looked pleased at this show of affection.
