Treestar widened his eyes as the Growlithe headed back towards him; had the game changed? Was she chasing now? Or maybe... Yes, she was still playing- making it a little easier to catch up! He put on a little 'burst' of speed getting almost no faster than he was already going, but still, the effort was there and there was still a little look of delight on his face. "Cheeeee!" He continued to be a rather vocal pursuer as he zigzagged after Artemis; the concept of following along in a straight path, though quicker, didn't seem to occur to him.
"As long as she'll listen in a battle or when it matters, then 's just a matter of a bit of correction, right? And it seems like you're working that out..." Still, she was very aware now of the water canine being in the pool and set herself to trying to take a path that wouldn't take her too close to the Vaporeon while she swam. Yes, she was nervous but with the pokemon, and with Claire, here, the grunt really didn't want that to show too much.
Palu, meanwhile, had returned the glasses to towel and bag and ruffled herself down to sit beside it, like a little guard. The bird kept herself aware of the pokemon around her, particularly that other bird, but contented herself with watching the grass and fire type at play for now.

The Growlithe paused in yet another play-stance at the corner of the pool, her tail wagging furiously in the air while she waited a few moments for the Chikorita to get closer. Closer, closer... there! When Treestar was almost within reach, Artemis bounded off again with an excited bark.
Luckily for Palu, Odette had chosen to pointedly ignore the fact there were any other birds in the room and had resumed her preening.
"Trying to, at any rate," the agent said with a soft sigh. "The thing is, I'm not sure if she would listen when it really counted. She's a vindictive, spiteful thing, so in all likelihood she wouldn't." Nope, she didn't trust the Vaporeon at all. Not yet.
Jasmine had surfaced once more - just in time to hear these things the humans were saying. Correction? Spiteful? Ooh, as if she could be corrected like some sort of... Some sort of common, garden-variety Rattata or something. Ugh! She'd show them...

He was almost there! Almost there..! He jumped, pounced, even! And... missed. The Chikorita wobbled at the corner of the pool for a moment, having trouble regaining his balance immediately after jumping in such a way, but after tilting a little far and looking like he might fall in, he righted himself and turned to see where the Growlithe had gotten to now. "Cheeka!" He shouted, gleefully, at the fire type. A promise that he /would/ catch her, despite that last failed pounce. Treestar crouched forward, little rear wobbling, as well as his head leaf, and then resumed trotting after the canine as fast as he could.
"Geeoh-toh!" Palu cooed a warning at the playing pair when Treestar seemed like he nearly fell in, but made no attempt to move from her spot. She kept her eyes on them as they continued their game. Treestar seemed content to ignore the bird's shout and continue with the game. This didn't seem to get much of a reaction from Palu, though she did fluff her feathers and resettle herself.
"I... suppose she'll get better with time? Um, I mean, there are plenty of training styles and methods to try as well; just depends what works..." Tambrey tried as she began to swim along the line she'd picked out, from one side of the pool to the other. She'd picked it with the intention of avoiding where she thought the vaporeon was at the time she'd looked.
