"That's in Hoenn, isn't it?" From what he could remember anyway. But it seemed like Izumi was pretty new to this area as well. "You're a mechanic, then." No wonder she had been so insulted about her machines being called junk. Judging from her strange mechanical arm, that wasn't very surprising. He had to wonder if she built that thing herself.
Tyke beamed in delight when Gerty decided to play. "" The Zorua barked as he poked at the other with his paw, then dashed behind Asch.

"Y-yes, it is. I-it's famous for its hotsprings..." Izumi's face brightened on the subject of her being a mechanic, "I am. Do you- Are you, um. Interested in machines?"
Gerty blinked a few times, not sure about 'play', but eventually very cautiously moved towards Tyke.

"Not really," Asch admitted with disinterest. Although he knew someone that was, but that certain someone stabbed him. His hand them came to rest on the hilt of a sword at his side that was partially covered by the cape he wore. "I'm into swords." He had never left the base without his weapon since the incident with Guy, which he was finally almost healed from.
Tyke tilted his head in confusion as Gerty crept towards him. "" He told her while peeking around Asch's legs.

"O-oh." Izumi seemed to deflate at Asch's lack of interest in her favorite things ever. "Swords...? W-what do you, um, do with them?" There was the obvious answer, which was kill people with them, but surely that couldn't be what someone now-a-days would do when they were 'into swords'. Hopefully...
Gerty changed her pace from a cautious creeping to a very leisurely walk. This Zorua was not good at playing.

Asch's expression softened a little at her deflated tone and then her bewilderment at his interest in swords, as if he were amused. "Its a skill that has been passed down through my family," or something to that effect anyway. Proficiency in some sort of ancient weapon was something that was practically required of Grande Ile's nobility. "And its for protection." He wasn't one to go waving a dangerous blade around for the sheer fun of it. There was more to it.
Tyke sighed as he watched Gerty now increase to a walk. "" Really, did this Zorua not know how to play? Well then he would have to SHOW her! "" Tyke now ran towards the other Zorua and attempted to pounce her!

"ZOR!" Gerty exclaimed in surprise and scurried away from Tyke as quickly as her little legs would mover her.
"Oh." She sounded slightly more interested now that she figured he wasn't going to do something crazy or dangerous. "Protection is good... My family passed down how to do an oil change with our eyes closed..." Izumi cracked a tiny smile. They had something in common!

Asch could only blink at the fact that Izumi had been taught to do an oil change with her eyes closed. Um... okay. That wasn't quite the same, but he supposed it sort of meant they had something in common. Kind of. He then decided on a subject change, and looked at her arm.
"How did you get that?" he asked, motioning towards her robotic arm. He was sure she got asked about that a lot. It wasn't something you saw every day after all.
Again Tyke blinked as Gerty scurried away. Erm. He scurried after her, confused as to why this Zorua acted the way she did. ""

"A-accident... W-when I was little..." It was something Izumi got asked a lot, but it still made her clam up whenever anyone asked anything about how she got it; She didn't mind talking about her arm, though, it was cool. Someone even told her it matched her tattoos, which were also cool.
The Zorua stopped and stared at the other pokemon when it apologized. Gerty took a few steps towards Tyke, She leaned down, putting her bottom into the air, her tail wagging slowly. That was playing? Gerty could do that.

This gave him pause before he responded. It seemed to be a rather uncomfortable subject for her. Although what was he expecting? Losing an arm couldn't exactly be a fun experience. Dammit. "I see," although he could in some way relate to bad things happening in one's childhood. "Did you build it?" She was a mechanic after all. It would be pretty cool if she could build her own robotic arm.
Tyke grinned when Gerty seemed to be getting the jist of it. Hopefully. He also ducked down with his tail in the air and growled playfully, grin still spread across his maw. ""

"O-oh, no... but, I've been learning how to repair it, and um, do upkeep on it myself." She was pretty proud of what she'd been able to do so far in regards to the highly technical prosthetic. "D-do you build your own swords?"
Gerty wiggled her bottom a few times and took off after Tyke.

"That's impressive," Asch replied for he knew he certainly didn't have the knowledge to maintain a piece of technology like that. "No, this was given to me by my teacher." He'd had that sword since he was a kid, and it had an almost sentimental value to it. Making swords was a skill that took many years to develop as an apprentice, and Asch could never hope to have the time for that as much as the thought fascinated him.
Tyke laughed as Gerty finally gave chase and he quickly bolted away, although making sure he didn't go -too- fast. Asch looked down as the Zorua ran around his feet, the corner of his mouth turning upward slightly, watching them play.

Asch smirked a little at Izumi's comment, "Yeah." However, his smirk turned into a frown again as he realized he was standing here, chit chatting with a girl that he barely knew. He didn't even know why. It just sort of... happened. His cheeks flushed slightly in embarassment, and the boy straightened up.
"Anyway... I should go. It was nice meeting you. Tyke! We're leaving"
The Zorua skidded to a stop and blinked up at his master. Aw... already? Why did his master always decide to leave just after making friends with someone?

"O-oh... a-alright..." Izumi said, somewhat disappointed that this nice person was leaving abruptly. Was it something she said? What did she do to make him leave? She was so bad at this... "Bye..."
Gerty lowered her ears and whined when play time was over. All that time working up the courage to actually have fun with someone, and now it was done.

There was a slight pang of guilt as Asch heard the dejection in Izumi's voice. He sighed lightly, but had already announced his departure. "See ya, around," he he told her before going on his way, the breeze tossing his hair once again.
Tyke sighed as well, but looked towards Gerty with a smile. "" Then with that, the Zorua bounded off after his master to catch up.
