Hug-bell nodded as she did what she was told. When Polaris managed to get out of the water the child nodded leading the way back to, what she hoped was the man hole they'd climbed in. "It'd be easier if they marked these somehow."
She said softly feeling the kitten shiver in her arms. Dumb sewers, why did they have to be so cold and damp. The child paused for a second listening before looking up towards where the drains were, she thought they were close to where they'd come from. If only the girl that had dropped the kitten was still crying or something...

"The people who work down here probably know it like the back of their hands. Just like a lot of us senshi know the alleys." She was talking thoughtfully, mostly just to keep her mind off everything else. And when Hugbell paused, Polaris was quick to offer.
"It's going to be a lot easier to find our way back above ground. More landmarks to make sure we aren't mixed up and headed in the wrong direction."
She was eager, her hands already finding and resting on a set of ladder rungs closest to her. "Are you going to be able to put the kitten in your bag for the climb up, or do you want me to carry it?"

Hug-bell paused, "Oh." She nodded and watched as Polaris started to climb up a ladder. "No, uh... well my bag has food in it."
She pulled down her hood and placed the kitten in it. Waiting to make sure it stayed put, "It'll be okay in my hood though," She added before getting ready to follow Polaris up the ladder, "Should we really show up in the streets as senshi though?" She asked with a frown, what if the cops saw them?
The child knew the cops didn't like them, it wasn't hard to figure out. She shifted slightly unsure if going outside in public was a good answer for this.

Nodding Polaris watched for a moment to make sure the hood seemed sturdy enough, and that the kitten wouldn't wriggle out. It seemed fairly exhausted and didn't struggle too much, so after a moment the senshi was contented enough to resume her climb.
"I think there might be more questions about why a lady and a small girl are coming out of the sewer if we are seen. So it's probably just best we be quick."
"It'll be easier to make a quick escape if we need to if we stay powered up."
Making her way up she stopped at the top, making sure that Hugbell was right there behind her before she pushed up against the sewer lid, the soft scrap of metal accompanied by a blinding ray of sunlight.

Hugbell nodded when Polaris said it'd probably be better to stay powered up, "Okay." She said softly.
Well it was a thought at least. She shielded her eyes with one arm when the bright ray of sun washed over them. When her eyes were use to the sunlight again she finished climbing after Polaris, checking to make sure there wasn't any cars coming before following in the climb out.
"You know, these lids are put in a bad place... specially when there's cars."

She was squinting against the sun as she stepped out of the hole, waiting for Hugbell to join her. As she pushed the heavy metal back in place, Polaris couldn't help but think about what a good weapon a manhole cover might be if she ever needed it. Well.. until she realized that she might end up leaving a big hole in the ground for some poor unsuspecting driver. Someone really could get hurt... "It really is kind of weird isn't it? They'd probably be better off on the sidewalks, or atleast closer to the edge of the road."
As her eyes adjusted, she glanced around quickly, both trying to figure out where they were and if many people were around watching them. The only people she saw were walking quickly away, seemingly trying not to not or draw the attention of the 'terrorists'.
A familiar sound of whimpered sobbing could be heard not far away though. Hugbell probably heard it too. Motioning towards the noise, she smiled. "We're almost there! Time for a happy reunion."

There was another nod when Polaris mentioned that it was weird. "You'd think they would've thought that out better." The child commented agreeing with Polaris that would've been best on the side of the road, or at least away from cars.
Hug-bell was also looking for the fellow kid that had lost their kitten, pulling the kitten out from her hoodie and carrying it over to the crying girl. As they approached Hug-bell called out cheerfully. "Look who we found!"
A bright smile on her face and her curls were bouncing. However a thought crossed her mind she was going to need a bath, and she was going to get in SO Much trouble for smelling like the sewer when she got home. Even with the girl's face lighting up and hurrying towards them to collect the kitten Hug-bell was trying not to look too worried. "Your kitty might need a bath though..." She added as perhaps the only down side to this.
