The ghoul was hugging the side of the chair's backrest, ferrying her attention between the screen and Moure. Edel's eyes happened to be on the screen when the accidental selection was made. She wasn't going to lie, her eyes gleamed a little when she saw the preview of the track. Perhaps there was that sadistic streak in her.

It reminds me of the nyan cats actually” she quipped, expressing no qualms with the choice made. It was only when the race started did she regret it a little as her head spun with the mess of psychedelic colours; it was a relief she was a spectator this time. She DID want to have a go at the course though. Eventually.

It might have gone unnoticed that Edel had gripped the edge of the seat while she watched Moure battle the computer-player karts. Could he make it past them? The ghoul obviously wanted him to win ahhhhhh-

There was a small sigh of relief as she watched Skeloshi squeeze past the rival karts and take the checkered flag. She was beaming and didn't even notice it.

That was....” she turned around to face Moure “amazing. Wow.” The ghoul's attention was back on the screen watching Skeloshi do his victory lap. Now she just wanted to play like BURNING.

C-Could I try out some of the other tracks and karts?” the ghoul couldn't help herself. Were those her eyes sparkling there?!

"Huh, I guess they do. I never noticed." Moure gave a bit of a laugh, remembering the fat sparkly cat-things and comparing them to the race-track.

Moure did notice out of the corner of his eye how engaged Edel seemed. She was like the perfect race fan, Moure realized. From the way she watched the game to the way she smiled as he crossed the finish line. She was so excited for the game, Moure could practically feel it radiating from her.

"You think so?" Moure said, glowing under her compliment. He could see her hunger for the game, and it amused him. A lot. It seemed that this might turn into a regular occurence, which was perfectly fine with him.

Her sparkling eyes were too much, and Moure couldn't resist. He smiled and toggled back to the character picking screen. He switched it so her controller was the active one again, and said with a grin, "Have at it. Play as much as you want."

Moure was serious when he said that she could play as much as she liked, too.

Oh thank you! I'll just have a game or two ....” which was a lie because there was no stopping the ghoul once she picked up those controllers again.

And boy did she have a blast. Swerving her body like she was in a kart herself, jamming down on the buttons and snapping about those controller sticks ..... it was really intense. Moure would have to check is that A button still worked.

By the time she was done, it was only after she had tried every single permutation and combination of driver and kart and maybe a few of the basic tracks. It was also past dinner time. Edel never knew time could fly so quickly.

Oh goodness I am so, so sorry” came the flustered apology. “Thank you for having me and letting me have so much fun – too much fun. Oh dear I should leave, I'm afraid I've overstayed my welcome quite terribly.” The ghoul got up and propped the controllers on the seat before bowing towards the patchwork boil apologetically.

Moure gave a nod, watching as she started up another game. "Have at it."

And have at it Edel did. Moure watched with much amusement as Edel threw herself into the game, watching the many swerves she'd make and the intense movements. Moure was going to have to check that controller later to make sure it wasn't permanently dead. He definitely hadn't expecter her to get so into it, but he was glad she was enjoying it so much. He also thought at one point in time, 'Note to Self: Take Edel go-karting or bumper-car-ing someday and see if she does the same movements and actions while driving a real-fake kart.'

Moure noticed that one of the clocks on the wall was reporting that it was much later than he'd expected it to be. He glanced out the window and saw that it was dark (well, darker than usual) and realized that they'd been playing for quite some time. That might've been since Edel tried out every possible combination of kart and driver, but Moure hadn't even noticed the time flying past. He'd been having too much fun watching Edel play the game.

When Edel realized what time it was, Moure looked to her and gave a slight shake of his head. "Heh, you've got nothing to be sorry for, Edel. It was great to play against you." He grinned and gave her a nod, gesturing at the screen with his controller, "I haven't seen someone have that much fun playing Scario Kart in a long time." He stood, seeing as he noticed Edel seemed as if she needed to be leaving. "You're welcome. And you haven't overstayed at all. I'm happy you had so much fun playing it." Moure gave a little, light-hearted laugh and set his controller down on his bed, stepping past Gibralter to get to the door.

Since Edel seemed dead-set on leaving, Moure opened for the door for her and gave her a smile. "You're welcome back here any time. My door's always open if you just want to drop by for some Scario-Karting." Moure was serious, too. If she ever just wanted to come play, she was welcome to do so.

I- uh- oh- uhm- Thank you!” the ghoul didn't respond to the part about dropping by again so she could abuse his scarestation set. Yes, today was quite enough .... it'd be best if she spaced out her visits just in case. Edel couldn't help but feel utterly embarrassed she overdid it today.

I'll see you soon then!” she chirped in an almost too chipper voice. Then came the awkward little wave as she darted out of the door, smiling sheepishly. She may or may not have walked away a little too quickly. As soon as she was sure she was out of sight, the ghoul promptly double face-palmed herself and let out a very long sigh.

She had been absolutely terrible today. The worst part?

She was going to have dreams of rainbow road tonight.

"Your welcome, I suppose." He said, unsure how to respond to her fragmented statement. She'd had so much fun, it seemed, but had he offended her by inviting her over again? Was that it?

"See you soon!" He grinned to her happy voice, nodding at her as she darted out the hallway and away. He closed the door slowly, looking back to his room. Straye had picked up his controller in his mouth, and was attempting to carry it too him, only to be thwarted by the cord attached to it. He stook his head with a little laugh, and made his way over to the firefox. The pup dropped the controller in his hand, wiggling excitedly. Moure picked up little Straye, then the controller Edel had been using. He took his seat on the bed again and set the pup in his lap, setting his own controller down between the firefox and the boogeymon, and then moved to use the one Edel had been experimenting with.

The buttons had the smoother feel of worn controller more than they had before, and luckily the 'A' button did still work. He went through a quick track just to make sure the controller was functioning properly before finally turning off the game and storing everything back into their usual places.

Today had definitely been a good day, and Moure hoped for many more like it.
