OMEGA: Academy Weight room: ...............

User ImageIn the aftermath of the mall riot. Gideon had been dosed with much more radiation then others. Granted that was all thanks to his confrontation with the shape shifting ex hydra operative. He had sat in his car upon returning to the institute. He had messaged the senior xmen about his situation and the extra baggage he had in his back seat. He had requested haze-mat suits for he and Kat to wear so they wouldn't hurt anyone by going through the school.

He hadn't expected for them to send Jean to bring car and all down into the hanger. A waiting team of medics took Kat off to be treated. Jean stowed Gideon's car in a shielded container, so Forge could work on getting the radiation out of the interior. While not a major amount in the car as they hadn't been a around long. It was better to be safe then sorry.

Instead of a haze-mat suit Jean personally escorted Gideon to a containment room to wait out the radiation. She used her powers to block any residual radiation from Gideon thanks to the boost the pheionx force gave her. Gideon was thankful for it last thing he wanted to do was hurt someone because of it. He had been dosed worse by Hydra when they wanted to experiment and see exactly what it did to his system. At the level he was at for a short period he had nausea, a headache, along with an elevated body temp thanks to the mild fever. If it wasn't for his healing factor it certainly would of been worse. Well that and if Aurelle hadn't contained the bomb blast which while didn't stop it considerably slowed the radioactive leak.

------------

It had been over a month since the incident. And things were certainly different. He was no longer an Alpha which he previously had been since the New Mutant's team had been made the Alpha's. Nope a couple days after the mall incident and his argument with Bella he was switched to the Omega's. It wasn't hard to figure out why he was switched even if neither Frost nor Summers said why. No it was because Bella didn't want him as an Alpha anymore. If that hadn't been the case Gideon would of known since mad at him or not, if Bella didn't want him on another team he wouldn't be.

Plus the fact that she was actively avoiding him. Sure she avoided pretty much everyone. But it was clear she didn't want him near her at the moment. Gideon could find her no matter where she was on the grounds or not. His tracking skills added with his heightened senses made it near impossible to evade him if he he chose to find you. When he had been released from containment he went to check on her. But when any sound of her would vanish when his hearing picked it up the message was pretty clear. One couldn't of been as close as the two of them and not know the other person.

So for now Gideon gave her the space she wanted no matter how much he didn't like it. Especially after he was told of the switch. If it wasn't for the fact that Bella had yet to say they were no longer a couple or that she wanted him gone, he would of left the academy weeks ago. So he hoped things would get better between them.

Thus he stayed and dealt with being an Omega. Cissa had seemed to enjoy the fact that Gideon was now an Omega, even if at the same time Lillian was switched over to the Alpha's. He wasn't one of Cissa's little drones. Gideon was not afraid of her and was one of the ones who had seen the Cissa that was buried inside of the Omega leader. Even if he didn't follow her lead blindly nor do things exactly as she wanted them. He would always get the end result of the task she would ask of him in his own way.

At present Gideon was in the weight room. Which in currently the Wolverine clone was its only occupant. Many shyied away from him before, but now that his was an Omega, as well as the absence of being seen with Bella. Lets just say that if given the choice all of the younger students stayed out of his way. He was working with the free weights over the multi exercise machined they had in the room. His eyes stared blankly up at the ceiling as he laid on the bench press. That didn't mean Gideon wasn't away of his surroundings, he just currently wasn't relying on his eyes to keep him alert. The bar held easily close to 400 pounds. To the casual observer Gideon made the task would look effortless. To Gideon it was considered low weight as enhanced strength was one gifts his mutation had given him.

He never started conversations with people anymore, even if before he didn't that often. Though he only spoke when he felt like it when people did attempt conversation. He was pretty sure it hurt any kind of standing he had with his former Alpha teammates. That wasn't the only change. Gideon's hair was no longer his natural stark pure white as it normally was. No his hair was now a very natural looking shade of brown. There was a mutant in the academy who's ability allowed them to produce ink. From it was made a dye that lasted longer, looked more natural, and didn't leave his sense of smell crazy. Given the anti mutant sentiment Gideon figured it best to blend in as much as possible.

He knew of the prom that was going on. Bella was the only reason he went to any kind of social function at the school. Given that she was still very much actively avoiding him as if he were the plague. He pretty much ignored the giddy young girls or nervous guys that could only seem to focus on the prom. Sure knowing Bella she would help out with it in some way, the song bird loved to dance.

Other then that all the chatter about the academy was on the registration act for mutants. Which thankfully the school was clearly not for since the current advisement from the heads was not to register.

Aria woke up suddenly and looked around, nothing out of the ordinary. Why had she woken up? She sat up silently in bed and made a second scan of the room. Nothing was out of place. Her eyes scanned the clock and she let out a sigh. It was barely six in the morning. She got out of bed and made her way to the showers, taking a quick hot one and making her way back to her bedroom with nothing but a towel on, having dropped her clothes off in the dirty hamper on her way. She dried her short red hair with a blow drier back in the room, quickly brushing it so it didn't frizz out.

Next was her outfit. She slipped some black pantyhose and a special bra meant for dancers. The bra was special in the fact that you could wear a leotard over it and not feel incredibly uncomfortable or it be incredibly obvious and look strange. Over that she wore a simple black leotard along with a simple black skirt, nice and flowy but short. Next was her jazz shoes. They were black, naturally, and had small heels. The final touch to her outfit was a red cardigan on over her bare arms. She left it open, naturally unphased that this was not what anyone else was wearing. Most of the other students wore normal clothing, designer sometimes. Her make up was incredibly simple, mainly because she was blessed with almost flawless skin. She put on her eyeliner and smiled at herself in the mirror, she was never one to compliment herself but she just had a feeling today would be a good day. She popped on a small hint of red eye shadow and shrugged, that was good enough.

She was no longer a highschool girl, and while her classes were off campus she didn't particularly care what anyone thought of her. She grew up in Atlantic City, if she could make it there she could make it anywhere. She made her way to the stairs before she realized she forgot her iPod, and she quickly made her way back to her room to pick it up. She snagged it and made sure her laptop was in the place she left it. She was used to having to hide and conceal her pricey belongings so that if anyone did break in they wouldn't be found easily. She popped one of the headphones in, a simple white one not one of the strange inside of your scull contraptions, and turned on some Adelle. She smiled and began to sing gently, not particularly caring if anyone she passed cared, not that many people were up and roaming the halls at this time. It was almost seven.

She made a quick stop in the kitchen, grabbing an apple and a pear for breakfast, before heading out into the garden. She ate her breakfast in front of the fountain, still with on ear bud in so she could listen to the fountains water. Her mind lulled back in time for a moment, remembering the day before when she was told she was to be an Omega. She was, naturally, quite shocked at this development. She always knew her powers was... unique, but she would have never guessed she would become a member of the X-Men so quickly. She was glad she opted to take the spring off from college, having taken six classes during the fall semester. They were easy classes, two dance classes along with a few needed for general study. She easily passed all of the classes, she was pretty smart and had a decent attention span. She was oddly not attracted to any of her classmates, boy or girl. She found a few of them attractive in the sense that they were good looking, but most good looking guys were either complete tools or flaming homosexuals. She had never really thought about a 'partner', and she was honestly not even sure if she was straight or bisexual or what. She was a complete and utter virgin in the love life compartment, but that was good. She had nothing to distract her so far. She blinked suddenly as she realized she had been absently picking at her pear for almost thirty minutes, and had finished the apple long before.

She stood up and began stretching, popping the other ear bud in her other ear. After she stretched she moved to the garden, careful not to disturb anyone if they were reading or anything. She did another few simple stretches, mostly for her toes. She then cracked her neck and changed the song. From then on, she just danced. She would continue to dance, her red hair gently moving with her along with her cardigan, until she was interrupted or became hungry.

Name: Christian Spencer
Codename: Sidetrack
Team: Omega
Location: Here and there...

It had been a very long, arduous and painful month for the Omega’s gunslinger. From literally beating on Death’s door to being on the mend, it had taken a toll on him mentally, physically, and even emotionally. Though, he was never one to really show much emotion other than joviality and complacency. Christian had triumphed from his wounds, his injuries with the help of a visit from either Elixir or Warren. But, the month’s layoff had made him a little less than what he was before. He had not been able to maintain his routine; running miles in the morning was hindered by broken ribs and lifting weights was definitely out with his broken clavicle and wrist. The time away from his routine had made him slightly lazy, in all honesty. But he knew the time to recoup was ebbing away rapidly.

For as well as he was healing physically, his mental and emotional states were rather… fractured to say the least. There wasn’t a night that went by since the incident at the mall that he didn’t wake at least once in the middle of the night, his body covered in a cold sweat and his mind wracked with terror. Sabretooth had done a number on the normally calm and collected Christian. Such a number in fact that the lad was quite unsure of whether or not he’d be able to ‘get on the horse and keep on ridin’, as he so told Emma two weeks prior. But, something in his gut told him that he had to at least try.

That morning, he had gotten up early like he had planned and began to resume his old routine. A brisk three mile run around the grounds of the Institute bright and early in the morning started it all off with a quiet whimper. Lucky for him, his body could handle it though there was still a very faint yellowish bruising from the busted ribs. But that was tolerable enough to work through. After his run, he warily tried to hit the gym. Warily because he wasn’t sure as to how the mended bone would hold up under the strain and because of whatever minute atrophy the muscles in that arm had undergone. It wasn’t much, though Christian was conscious enough to try and push a few extra sets of curls with his formerly injured left arm. He knew that, for whatever reason, he’d need to be optimal, ready, for whatever may come their way.

The next test, the major hurdle he needed to jump over, was a ‘live fire session’. Or rather, a mildly intense session in the Danger Room. To his credit, he stayed out of sight and out of mind of his Omega teammates for the most part. He didn’t want his injuries being a burden on anyone nor did he wish for people to put on kid gloves when it came to being around him. Not only that, he’d only been out of the infirmary for a couple weeks; something about the medical staff wanting to ensure that whatever fixes Elixir did were permanent. Christian knew they were, the scar on the through and through wound of his left hand proved that. But, to access the Danger Room, he had gone over even his team leader’s head and went straight to his old instructor, Colossus. The elder Russian was more than eager to grant Christian the boon of a solo run.

And so it started, Christian was in the throes of something he was familiar with; a good old hike in the middle of the Washington wilderness. A fresh, crisp snow had just fallen; the ice hung like precarious wind chimes from the evergreen branches; the temperature of the air was a perfect twenty degrees. Everything was to his specifications, and his old mentor had taken the time to program random wild fauna to populate this simulation. Everything was perfectly set, even to the weapon that Christian had taken with him; it was the same model handgun he’d been using for the past few months, a Desert Eagle .44 caliber. Yes, the weapon may be heavy and limited on ammo, but God bless the weapon’s stopping power. That was the reason he wanted to use it now, well that and… this was a personal test after all.

The test didn’t take too long to start. Christian had wandered around the snowy grounds of said wilderness for only ten minutes before he wound up stumbling upon some tracks that were freshly made in the snow. To his eye, there was no mistaking what had made those imprints; it was a bear and judging by the size of the paw prints, it was not a small one at all. He muttered something under his breath about being cocky enough to not bring a blunderbuss with him, just on the off chance he’d run into something like this, but…

Fifteen minutes dragged into twenty and so on and so forth. It was just when he was about to give up his search for this elusive creature when he stumbled upon its bedding area. Not only that, he noticed there were other tracks near the initial ones he found. It appeared that this bear had cubs… and being in its bedding area could only mean one thing. He had quite figuratively stepped into it with both feet while blindfolded. He had tried to cautiously yet quickly remove himself from the area, knowing full well how mother bears were with their cubs, but for as hard as he tried, he had a sinking feeling in his gut that he had no chance to really get out of this situation.

To his credit, he did try getting out of there, but the sounds of crunching snow resonated from behind him and he could feel his blood beginning to run a tad colder with each passing second. The bear was behind him; Christian could hear its footsteps, the creature’s weight doing well enough to crush the snow under foot. Not to mention, being able to hear the tiny cries of the cubs as their mother lead them to their home told him everything. Exercising extreme caution, he slowly turned his shoulders outward and faced off with the trio of bears, the mother standing fully on her hind legs. The bear let out a massive growl followed by a roar, creating just enough noise to cover him reaching for his weapon and sliding a round into the chamber. That was when he felt the animal’s beady black eyes lock with his.

“C’mon…, make a move,” Christian said, not wanting to show outright fear yet seconds away from wetting himself. Yes, he had a couple showdowns with some bears in his youth… but then he wasn’t as… damaged as he was now. He didn’t have to wait but more than a second as he watched the humongous bear fall to all fours and begin to lumber straight for him. It was then he was able to level the handgun at the charging creature and take aim, straight for the eye. It was a good, soft spot for a bullet to lodge into and potentially incapacitate the thing permanently. To Christian’s dismay, when he had the aim down pat and squeezed the trigger, the recoil of the weapon reverberated through his arm all the way up to his clavicle, causing him to instantly drop the weapon. That was when he knew he was finished. Resigned to his fate, he closed his eyes, spoke the Lord’s prayer, and honest to God hoped that whatever mauling he was about to receive was going to be quick.

He was astonished that the pain and agony didn’t hit him at all. Slowly, he opened his left eye, then his right to see the mother bear frozen in time… paused only a few feet away from barreling straight into Christian. Thankfully, Colossus had paused the simulation before the pain was brought upon the Omega, but again.. the physical pain was nothing compared to the mental war he was waging. This DR session, it may have been his first in over a month, but this was a test. A test to see if he was ready to be out on the field again, a test to see if he was ready to handle his weapon of choice and yes… a test to see if he even had the stones to keep on truckin’. In his estimation, he had failed miserably.

With the simulation paused, Christian knelt down and picked his weapon up from the snowy grounds, but when he went to holster it, everything went back to the normal metal walls that signified he was nowhere else than the Institute. When the kid finally had his wits back with him, he had found himself standing off with yet another bear, only this one was of the Russian variety.

”You did well, Tovarich,” the elder X-Man said to his former student. “At least until the end. You gave up too quickly.” Piotr Rasputin had seen Christian ‘grow up’ or rather, grow into his abilities when they were discovered, and he was always judicious when it came to either praise or criticism. If anything, the Russian helping Christian ease out of the culture shock of being so far away from home gave the younger mutant a healthy dose of respect for his former instructor.

“Dunno ‘bout that, Mr. Rasputin,” Christian said quietly. Yes, the lad knew he froze when it came to the bear charging him, but honestly what other choice was there. He had no time to fish through the snow to find his weapon, and being that low to the ground only exposed his head and neck to the beast’s gaping maw. Either way, without his weapon, he had no real chance for survival. “Startin’ to think maybe… I’m not ready to do this yet.” As he said that, he began to feel a well of anger start to bubble in his gut.

Piotr couldn’t help but to let out a booming laugh and slap Christian hard on the left shoulder. Something that caused Christian’s eyes to widen with surprise as pain shot through his body… but he wouldn’t outright show it if at all possible. “Please, call me Piotr. Or Peter,” Colossus spoke, “You’ve earned that right.”

“Earned that right, how?,” Christian snapped back, his angry response something that startled even him. “By bein’ left to bleed out on that damned mall floor? By bein’ a complete waste to everyone else that was left in that damn place? I almost died out there, Pete.” While the kid spoke, he rubbed his left shoulder gingerly, trying to ease the pain from being slapped so unexpectedly hard. “Somethin’ I’m not quite sure you get. I know I was literally a moment away from takin’ that last breath, from doin’ nothing more than stuffin’ a coffin.” The anger he felt was beginning to etch some rather hideous lines in his face as he spoke, he could feel them forming, and he just began to march out of the room. Not before he could deftly dismantle his piece and leave the disassembled firearm on the Danger Room floor. All he could offer was a quick thanks for allowing him to at least try… Christian completely ignorant to the knowing look of complete understanding his former teacher wore on his face.

**

Some time had passed and Christian had finally emerged from the basement levels to join the regular populous that seemed to swarm like locusts in a field. It was odd that things just seemed to be at the status quo at the Institute, even despite the events of the past month. He had even taken the time to watch the news during his convalescence as was well aware of the passing of the Mutant Registration Act, something that made his stomach turn. It wasn’t the fact that they would have to register with the government, but rather the fact that after quelling the riots in the mall and the Omegas literally risking their own necks to save that braying a** Senator Kelly, that career bureaucrat had the stones to still push anti-mutant legislation through Congress.

With slightly bruised knuckles on his right hand after punching a random locker before changing into his street clothes which consisted of a pair of jeans, a Jimi Hendrix zip-up hoodie with a black tee underneath, and a pair of steel-toed boots, Christian couldn’t help but to meander throughout the halls. He needed to quash that well of anger that seemed to reside within him now. He didn’t want any of his teammates, any of his friends to see him like this. He couldn’t let them see that. He couldn’t let them see that he was indeed rattled straight to his core when it concerned everything. So, he just put on a goofy, fake crooked smile on his face and did his best to greet any and every one of his friends, both Alpha and Omega.

As he waltzed through the halls, amongst all of the underclassmen’s chatter about prom upcoming, Christian could somewhat feel himself being drawn somewhere. The farther he walked, the more he could hear something being played… an instrument? And the farther he went down that hall, the less and less the crowds were in number allowing the deep resonance of a stringed instrument to easily hit his ears. Shortly thereafter, he found the source; the Alpha’s leader, Isabella was playing cello. (He only knew what the instrument was after Raine had schooled him about it years ago.) She had company with her, a girl he had recognized from the incident at the mall but someone he had not formally been introduced to yet (Bianca). Leaning against the doorframe and knowing full well that his presence was already known, Christian just took a moment to listen to the music, hoping it would let the anger he felt go from boiling to simmering. Lucky for him, it did just that… and before he left the girls to whatever it was they were going to get into, he said a very quiet ‘Thanks for visitin’, aimed directly at Isabella.

She’d been one of the very few to have visited Christian while he was laid up, and with the fortuitous grace of her mutant abilities, she was able to grant him the boon of sleep where his body and mind would not allow it. Considering all he had gone through, that rest was well needed and well deserved. But for now, he was content in just offering a quick, yet gracious thanks before heading off on his way. Where he was heading, he had not the slightest clue himself, his only want was to relax and potentially get rid of a majority of this damnable anger.

The air crackled and sizzled with raw power normally not of this realm before a hole the size of a quarter appeared, hovering up and down over the court yard of Xavier’s, all trace of that morning's dew having dry under the blazing sun. As the void moved back and forth, its size grew gradually until two hands were able to fit through. The pasty green colored limbs grabbed the edges of the pulsing hole and pulled it out further, stretching it out at a speed much faster than when the hole was enlarging by itself. Soon the hole touched the ground, its top edge barely reaching a four foot mark. At once the hands disappeared back into the void, only to be shortly replaced in their space by a soaring canvas bag. It landed with a soft thump, black ashes on the material’s edges falling to cover a small portion of the gravel walkway.

An electric green and silver pointed boot stepped through next; knee bent slightly as a toe tapped the ground tentatively before settling down fully. A 3/4 length gloved arm shot out next to grasped the left edge of the now brightly flashing rip in time and space. The gold and black bangles clinked and clanked upon contact with the edge as if the hole was really a metal door frame. A head of emerald green hair bowed out the entryway next, followed by a stalky torso donned in a shimmering corset styled top, matching in color with the first boot, and a second leg.

Lightning sparks danced over the opening as the entity went to pull her final limb through, her right arm. Her hand grasped firmly on the handle of a cutlass, the bottom portion of the blade blackened from the blood of other worldly foes & friends alike. The weapon in question resisted her pull, apparently against going through the portal, but the woman had been expecting this and waved a small violet colored radiating rock over the sharp blade until the stone dulled in its hue and the cutlass had captured its glowing aura. The woman slowly pulled her arm and favored weapon the rest of the way through of the portal. Eager pale yellow eyes glancing towards her bag reassured her of her belongings, and she tossed the now dull purple rock through the hole; smirking as her visor shaded her from the explosion and final flash of light before the rip in the world repaired itself.

Straightening up to her full height of 5’10”, the woman tilted her head to the left and right until an audible “pop” reached her ears before tucking back fallen strands of her hair. She pulled down the fabric of her jade colored skirt back to its proper position, smoothing out the wrinkles and flicking away a few specks of ash her eye caught. Once she believed herself presentable once again, she sheathed the cutlass into the leather holder slung beside of her hip and picked up her bag, easily avoiding her flowing cape when she positioned it on her shoulder. Her gaze finally set itself to the looming mansion only a few feet away from her and the first sign of an expression crossed her otherwise emotionless features. A small smile was all she could bring herself to give the place, but it was enough for now she decided as she moved across the courtyard and to the famous front wooden door that still looked as it did the ten or more years it had been since she had first seen it, even if the rest of the exterior of the building was utterly unfamiliar to her. Her hand brushed the handle gently, as if its existence was nothing more than a dream, a dream she had not afforded herself for longer than she’d like to consider. The cold metal sent a shock through the woman’s extended hand, and with a soft snort she shook her head, flexing her fingers until the tingling sensation ceased. Who knew you could transfer static electricity from portals?

With a deep breath, she mentally steeled herself against what would undoubtedly be a mind-numbing and falsely sincere ‘welcome back’ pow-wow from the squad leaders. She would get through it, without hurting anyone, she resolutely decided, because all that ready mattered was the utmost simple fact:

Farren was finally home.

* * *

She toed the front door shut behind her, unable to tear her gaze from the foyer and the masses of students just mulling about. She could over hear the words "Prom", "registration", and "radiation" but any chance of obtaining real information disappeared as the bodies around her seemed to surge and split away to separate corridors. Gripping the leather strap on her bag, Farren moved through the atrium, hand brushing over the luster-lacking potted plants as she walked by. The stalks straightened from their original slacked position, the colors turned vibrant, and the petals curled back to their peak bloom spot.

Farren earned a few questioning looks from passing students, but as it was a school for mutants, most didn't give her a second glance. She, in turn, paid them no mind as she recollected the first time she entered the Institute, suitcase handles clutched in her hands with a death grip. Although, technically it was Muir Island, the sentiment was the same. For a brief moment she was once again "Ivy", of the New Mutants, untouched by the war on mutants, still naive to the ugliness of humanity, and a rookie on the team led by the female version of Wolverine.

Her knees buckled when she mentally reminded herself of the hard fact that Ivy version no longer existed, nor Evie, for that matter. A hand touched her shoulder and the floramancer lifted her sights to a young woman in front her, grateful her visor hid the emotion her pale yellow eyes were currently baring.

"Are you all right, Miss?" Farren snorted at the formal address, having forgotten five years had past since she had last been on Earth. She's shook away the offered silver tinted hand and stood to her full height, steeling herself once again before speaking.

"I'm fine, thank you, just reliving a memory. Where would I find the Headmaster's office?" Farren discreetly eyed the other mutant as two more approached, holding hands in an affectionate manner that Farren had to stop herself from lifting her lip up in a sneer, unable to shake the feeling these three looked somewhat familiar. The young man was dark skinned, most definitely toned, and wearing the most peculiar set of orange goggles. His other half had unbelievably straight blond hair to her shoulders, sporting a clash of white pants and a yellow snow coat.

"That hallway on the left takes to Headmistress Frost, the one of the right to Headmaster Summers, and Xavier is down this middle one. Which one did you need?" For a moment Farren didn't hear the question, her mind reeling, instead, over the fact Emma Frost was a Headmaster. She had expected such a promotion for Scott, but Emma? She was a lunatic, completely rude, and with no concept of personal mental privacy. Not to mention her wardrobe was completely inappropriate for anyone in a position of power in a school. A silver tinted hand waving in front of her face brought Farren out of her mental musings abruptly.

"What? Sorry, what did you ask me?" She caught the looks of concern the trio shot each other. "I'm just surprised about Emma and Scott. When I used to go here it was just Xavier in charge. You said he's down this middle hall, right? Thanks-"

"This is David & Laurie," The silver girl motioned to the couple, and the moment she spoke Farren knew who they were, the memory of Holocaust's destruction and mercilessly killing hit her mind with full force. And my name is-"

"Mercury," Immediately the demeanor of the three shifted from open curiosity to suspicion. "I don't understand, how?"

"How did you know, you mean? Are you telepathic? We've got some of those running around the Institute. Don't worry, even the adults still pick up stray thoughts every now and then. Come on, I'll show you where Summers' office is. I'm afraid Xavier is away on business." She and the other two turned towards the right hall but froze in their tracks at the next words Farren spoke.

"You're dead."

"Excuse me? David moved himself between Farren and Laurie, on the ready to protect the latter if this new woman attempted to attack.

"I watched him kill you, all three of you, before I became..." Her voice trailed off for a moment, heart breaking as the memory of Holocaust energy blasting Mercury point blank replayed itself in her head. "Only ash and drops of silver remained. I saw it happen."

"I think you have us confused with other people. As you can see, we are very much alive. Maybe you should see one of the doctors in the Med Lab." Farren shook her head at Laurie's suggestion.

"No doctors. No Med Lab. I just need to see Xavier." With that, the floramancer walked down the middle hallway Mercury had indicated earlier, heedless to their declarations Xavier wasn't in. The bald telepath would be able to explain how three younger mutants were alive and well instead of dedicated on the Wall of the Fallen, not to mention looking as if they hadn't aged a day.

Casting looks to each other for but a moment, David and Laurie quickly race down opposite hallways, leaving Mercury to trail behind Farren at an unnoticeable distance a few feet back. If this green haired woman intended to cause trouble, Mercury would be one of the first X-Men she would have to contend with.

"At least I've chosen a side."

_________________ƬΣΔΜ ΔLƤHΔ_________________

Reggie woke up with a jolt, groaning as she covered her eyes to block out the light shining from her window. She looked at her skin, examining it closely. She had been made of steel for far too long. There was still just the slightest tint of grey there, just under the skin. If anyone looked closesly enough, she would probably look a tad sickly. And to the touch, her skin wasn't soft like flesh, but a tiny bit firm. She hoped no one looked closely enough or touched her. It had been awhile, too, and she was still like this. She figured she would be back to normal in a few days. Hopefully. She rolled out of the bed and rubbed the sleep from her eyes, getting up with a sigh and heading into the bathroom. She washed her hair (which was almost like those little tinsels you put on Christmas trees) in the shower and got, most of the water just kinda rolled off her like it would a car. She dried off the little she needed to and dressed, heading out of the bathroom and into the hall.

She twisted her hands together in apprehension as she thought about the recent MRA. It was... Troublesome, to say the least. So far, her own guardian, her Aunt, hadn't shown up to take her to get registered, and she really hoped that the woman didn't. So what if she was breaking the law? She wasn't going to be registered like some animal. Reggie strongly believed that the mutants should be treated as equals to the humans. She wanted that for the world, but she didn't think it would happen anytime soon. Especially with Magneto and his cronies giving all mutants a bad rep. She figured that it was his fault that the MRA had even come into effect. If he hadn't have exploded the way he did and tried to radiate everyone, things might have been a little better. Not much, but a little.

Her eyes went wide as she had a sudden revelation. Perhaps the radiation was what was making it so difficult for her to change back to flesh. Maybe it was screwing with her X-gene and making it.... She didn't know, stronger. More prominent. It may make her gene take over the human gene, and in turn the molecules and..... She shook her head, getting those thoughts out of it. Don't question, Reggie, just go with he flow.

As she headed out of the school she scowled to herself as she caught snatches of conversations where one of the most prominent words was "prom". It was an understatement to say that Reggie didn't like organized dances where you had to dress up. She would be just as happy to go in jeans and a t-shirt, instead of some frilly, long skirted dress. She figured if she was going to go, she would be in, as she said, jeans and a t-shirt. She wouldn't even have a date. Another thing Reggie despised, the whole "I'v got to have a date to prom!" outlook of every almost every high schooler in the world. It was ridiculous, the length of which people would go to get a date when they would just walk in together, then ditch them for someone more attractive. It made her want to puke, the way they went into a frenzy for dates like piranha.

Once again, she shook the thought off as she headed out of the school to wander the grounds, not really planning to do anything in particular. There was nothing that she wanted to do today. The past few weeks, as she'd been waiting for her skin to recover, she'd been careful not to use her powers and to wear gloves and such so that they wouldn't activate randomly. She wasn't sure if using them would help or hinder, so she hadn't, just in case. After a few minutes of aimless walking she broke out into a light jog, the movement of her legs and arms felt nice. Physical activity had always calmed her nerves and lifted her spirit. She went down the path, through the garden, and out again, running without much thought to her location. After awhile she neared the lake and charged down a hill, feet light and nearly silent on the green grass. Despite her slightly metallic condition, it didn't weigh on her too much. When she got down to the edge of the water she looked out for a bit, then began to jog along the shore.

Location:Wandering his way to the Music Room

Varis wandered the grounds watching the other students his nature being to watch people while having some fun himself. He thought he would head to the music room there almost sure to be someone there and he needed to practice anyway, he made his way through the various areas of the campus nodding and giving polite greetings to those he passed. He was sure not to find the head Omega he had run into in the Library he wasn't afraid of her but the others seemed to be so he thought it best not to push his luck.

As Varis neared the doorway he heard someone inside playing a Cello and as he rounded the doorway into the room he saw it was in fact his leader Bella AKA Siren as well as another girl he didn't know (Opaque) and smiled. "Hey there Lasses." He said his accent making him unmistakable then again so did his boots to Siren he would think. "Mind if I join ya?" He spoke as he leaned on the door frame and put his left hand in his pocket as he motioned with his right to the electric guitar to the right of Bella. He was curious as to how the mix would sound and if she would be OK with him being there as he was. He kept looking from one girl to the next wondering what they thought of the dark skinned Irishman in the doorway asking to play with the Alpha's leader who was clearly upset.

Alpha - Academy: Dorm Room to Library - Shh!

User Image

The weeks since the incident at the mall had been good to Raine, allowing her to semi-get her life back together. She'd caught up on most of her assignments for the most part, and spent a bit of time in the Infirmary with Christian as he recovered. Of course, she helped him with some of his own work so that he didn't fall too far behind - it seemed like the least she could do considering the fact he'd almost died. She was always willing to do anything for her friends - besides, it was a good way to get the male perspective on some things going on with her personal life. With talk of prom, which as a girl she could not help but be excited about, Raine could only hope that someone would ask her sooner rather than later. Who that person would be, she had no idea, but she had a few ideas as to who she wanted it to be - all in due time.

Snapping her book shut on her bed, the brunette ran her fingers back through her hair, tousling it about slightly. Swinging her booted legs over the edge of her bed, she began to gather her things into her bag, deciding that a change of scenery would help her get in the mood to start her biology report. Moving over to the mirror to reapply her lip gloss, she did a quick turn around. When one was gunning for a choice prom date, it was best to look good all the time - no one needed to know that she had also already worn all her casual clothes and was a little too lazy to do laundry at this point in the week. Except, of course, her roommate - she missed Sophie, but Hoshi seemed alright? Granted, they hadn't spent too much time together, but she didn't have a reason to dislike her.

It didn't take long for her to head out towards the library, smiling at those she passed that she knew. As she passed by the lounge, she saw Aren heading out to talk to Cissa as the girl made her way through the grounds. She felt a twinge at the corners of her lips as she tried not to frown - everyone seemed so drawn to her, and yet she was possibly the most unlikeable person she had ever met in her life. Still, no one could deny that she was intelligent and beautiful - at this age, that was all it took to get some male attention. Raine was too busy between classes, team building and missions with the Alphas and all her other extracurriculars to do much of anything else. At least the closer she got to the library, and the farther she got from view from the Omega leader, she felt her spirits lightening slightly. Of course, upon entering the library and seeing the librarians behind the information desk casting dirty looks toward one patron in particular, she couldn't help but smile.

Felix was always such a trouble maker.

Taking a wide arc around the library, hoping to go unnoticed, she snuck up behind him, electricity glittering over her skin toward her finger, which gently came against the back of his neck. The shock wouldn't be too bad - just enough to hopefully startle his feet off the table. Either way, she couldn't help but release a little giggle, rounding the table and leaning against it with a hand on her hip.

"Look at you, being the bad boy of the library. You better watch it - those librarians are quiet, but stealthy. They'll get you when you least expect it."

---------------------¦ It was going to be rather nice to actually be settled in somewhere permanently.

This new promotion meant that it would officially be the end of her life living as both a clueless runaway and a back-of-the-line student who had to work more often than she did sleep. Being a first year student simply meant that Quinn had to bust her own chops in order to get anywhere, and much to her displeasure, it also meant taking up space in a temporary dorm that was more crowded than she'd have liked. With Quinn, space was a must. Despite the fact she'd shown greater control over her mutation than other students, hence why she was here now, there was still a lot of caution taken to ensure that she didn't slip up. But, at the very least, if it wasn't space she'd be given by being moved, having roommates who weren't so invasive would be equally acceptable. Just the sheer thought of being in a room with another girl who constantly barraged her with questions about trivial matters - like Prom - sent a shudder down the girl's spine.

Last year, when she'd first arrived, Quinn had taken every measure physically possible to avoid going to Prom. To her, it meant having to put on a tiny little dress just to go to an event in which she'd have to be pressed up against a handful of other people.

Yeah, it wasn't exactly her idea of a good time.

Especially not with the way she'd been so finicky about being close to anyone. Quinn had to admit, when she first got here, her fears of even touching another person had been bad. Irrational, even. Having been made aware of her abilities at such a young age had given her plenty of time to absorb the basics of what triggered them, but that didn't seem to change the way she literally felt like a walking vat of acid. Prior to coming to the Institute, that's how everyone saw her anyway. If there was ever a time Quinn was susceptible to the accusations of others, it was then. Every instance of her life up until a year ago. Naturally, though, she'd grown since then, her desire to be the best she could be returning once more. She began to realize how silly it was for her to be so afraid all the time. Emma had also given her a few good kicks in the right direction as well.

The thought of the telepath brought a faint grin to Quinn's lips. The two had already spoken of her being a new addition to the Junior X-Men, what more was there to converse about? The question lingered in Quinn's mind in an attempt to make sure she had everything covered about this new business. For now though, she'd draw a blank.

The girl's slate gray eyes would shift from their vacant spot on the floor to the clock that sat upon the nightstand next to her bed. She'd been sitting at her empty desk on the opposite side of the room, doodling on a blank sheet of paper in order to kill some time. All of her stuff had been packed up already and moved out earlier today, it was now just a matter figuring out what to do with her new, new life. As the thought crossed her mind once again, Quinn took in a deep breath. She was definitely happy for it, but being part of the Omega Junior X-Men team was a whole new ball game. One where she'd be starting as one of the newest recruits all over again. No doubt, it would be much more of a challenge, it wouldn't be a promotion if it wasn't, but she didn't want to make any judgement calls just yet. By doing so, she could very easily under or over estimate what she was about to get into. Instead, she did the whole "hope for the best, but prepare for the worst" sort of deal. It was much better than letting her mind run rampant anyway. Being so reserved, often times Quinn's thoughts could get the better of her. That was exactly what got her all worked up about touching people in the first place. She was alone with irrational thoughts, which lead to irrational behavior. Even though that behavior had changed, Quinn still had a long way to go.

Not wanting to be sitting around for too long for too long, the dark haired girl forced her reminiscing thoughts away and her doodles to cease. Her slender fingers would curl around the binding of the notebook in front of her, folding it's pages shut before stuffing it into the large satchel that hung over the back of her chair. As she moved to get up, the heels of her boots would tap loudly against the floor of her now old room. It some how seemed so much bigger when it was empty like this. Well, at least when one half of it was empty like this. The slightly younger female Quinn had shared this room with hadn't been promoted like she had, so a whole mess of clothes and other accessories were splayed about her side of the dorm. The mess was definitely something she was going to miss.

With one last look, Quinn slung her bag over her shoulder and began to roam the hallways. Not too long ago, she'd been informed of the Mutant Registration Act - the most recent legislation that tipped the scales of equality once again. Quinn scoffed as she thought of this, a shake of her head following her sound of disapproval. She was perfectly fine not going to the government with this ridiculous registration business. In fact, she was perfectly fine about pushing the issue entirely from her brain, at least for the moment, and go about her life as she normally would. With a firm nod to herself, Quinn reinforced what she already was doing, which was looking for something to do.

A few more moments of wandering would lead her to a window that over looked the garden, which would draw her to a pause. Her colorless eyes would trace across the scenery outside, noting how nice of a day it was. It didn't take her long though to notice a familiar figure dancing about, one that would cause a grin to spread across her face. Aria. Without another moment to question, Quinn decided to join her friend. The two had met almost a year ago, but instantly they shared one huge similarity - and that was their love for dancing. More similarities came later of course; both graduating the same year and being placed on the same Junior X-Men team. Their lives, thus far, had traveled down similar paths which helped make them quick and easy friends. It wasn't in her nature to be supremely sentimental, but Quinn was happy to have Aria in her life. It felt good to not have to worry about hurting her. She helped a lot with Quinn's inability to get close to others.

By the time this train of thought ended, the dark haired girl would find herself in the garden, standing on the edge of Aria's makeshift dance floor. Quinn dropped her satchel by her feet and watched, head tilted slightly to the side, but she still grinned. Aria had her headphones plugged in, which made it a viable option to attempt to startle the girl, but Quinn decided otherwise. Her friend wasn't much of an easy person to scare. Instead, she waited for Aria to turn around, since it was nice to watch her dance. It wasn't in Quinn's nature to be disruptive anyway. ¦

Alpha - Hallways to Grounds - Reunions and Life as Usual

User Image

Despite having several weeks to get her life back in order, Tara had done little more than start shopping for prom dresses online, catch up on her television shows and hang out with her friends. She was still behind in her classwork, though she was close to getting one of her classmates to write both her biology report and her World Cultures paper. It was amazing what a low cut shirt and a few flutters of the eyelashes could get her, and Tara was used to getting her way when it came to those kinds of things. For those reasons, she could hardly contain her excitement when she found out that her step-brother was going to be attending classes there. Of course, his way of orchestrating the reunion could have been more thought out - now that she had been training with her powers more, he should probably be a bit more worried about what she'd do to him. Still, at the end of the day she wouldn't be able to hurt him - her stepmom wouldn't be too thrilled with that, and the last thing she needed was to have her dad picking sides that were not in her favor. Not only could he be pretty cool to be around, but anytime she needed something she could usually talk him into helping her out. In this kind of environment, that kind of consistency could be quite an asset.

Still, they hadn't seen too much of each other since they were in the same place - as of right now, that suited her just fine. She didn't want him to think that she was too excited. Her bag slung over her shoulder, the brunette made her way through the hallways, a group of girls from her statistics class crowded around her talking about their hopes for Prom. Of course she was planning on going, but as to who she wanted to ask her, or what she was wearing at this point, she had no idea. She'd make that decision when it was necessary, but for now it was much more fun to see the carnage around her. Some were happy, some were nervous, some were just downright brokenhearted as they saw their hopeful dates making plans with others. It likely made her a bad person that she would take such morbid pleasure in it - she really didn't care.

"I'll see you guys later," she said simply, breaking away from the group as they started to coordinate colors so that she could make her way outside. As soon as she felt the sun on her face, she smiled, tilting her sun-kissed visage upwards slightly as a breeze washed over her, causing the navy blue skirt of her sundress to flutter. This was certainly more her element, and it looked like she wasn't the only one that thought spending time outdoors was a great idea. There was no where in particular for her to be, and so her steps took her innocently towards the lake. The brunette was quick to move out of the way as Reggie jogged by, giving her a smile and a wave as she passed before continuing on her way. As she passed by the den, she saw a familiar outline through the window, her lips twisting in a sideways grin.

A flutter if her fingers lifted a small clump of dirt from the ground, sending it flying towards the window to catch Dorian's attention. It would likely be difficult to startle him, but it at least gave her some sense of strange satisfaction. He was on her turf now, both literally and figuratively. It was all in good fun.

Continuing on her way, Tara eventually ended up at the lake, smiling at Leonardo. She could tell that something was troubling him, but she wasn't sure that she knew him well enough to just outright ask him about it. If he was anything like the rest of the students, it was likely something to do with the pending registration movement. The tension was certainly palpable, though Tara had to admit that she wasn't as worried about it as she probably should be. Of course, if they got their hands on Magneto, the apparent start of all this mess, she'd gladly show him just how much his dragging them into this kind of mess pissed her off.

Clearing her throat so that she didn't startle him, the brunette put on a small smile, arms crossing over her stomach as she moved to stand next to him, looking out over the water of the lake.

"Hey, DeVito. Glad to see you're alive. You know, even though we run in slightly different circles, I'd have thought we'd have run into each other by chance. I'm starting to get the feeling that you're avoiding me."

Alpha: In the hedge maze.

User ImageLillian was one of the lucky ones that didn't leave the encounters last month physically unharmed. It was thanks to her own ability that allowed her to copy others. Even if the morlocks personality she had gotten a hold of wasn't one she cared for, the durability and strength said morlock's powers gave her she did like. It prevented a chunk of building from crushing her flat not long after chucking a mini van at Avalanche. For as potentially powerful her ability was it had it downsides. There were mutants that were lucky they got amazing abilities and didn't have any downsides.

Lillian's powers left her unable to touch others without drawing in their energy, which in turn came along with memories that brought personality, skills they may have, and powers if they had them. And while the powers, and skills faded, memories and personalities forever lingered. While she believed that the powers them self lingered hidden deep waiting for her to figure out how to recall them. So far she has only really recalled Elixir's powers, that was triggered by the great need so she could heal the Alpha known as Leo.

For her the last month was well taken up a chunk by her helping where she could in the infirmary. One her own knowledge of medicine was an asset on top of her power copying ability. If she hadn't been well accustomed to Elixir's power, then she was now. She had been requested to help Elixir by basically providing back up if you well.

During that time something she hadn't been expecting happened. Lillian was no longer an Omega no now she was one of the Alphas. To say she was shocked when she was given the news would be an understatement. When she went to the heads of the school to try and get placed back on the Omega's Frost wouldn't hear it. It wasn't that Lillian disliked the Alpha's not in the least. No it was the fact that her former leader who Lillian considered her best and closest friend held a particular disdain for Alphas. So the girl was beyond worried that Cissa would no longer be her friend. Sure Lillian knew more about the blonde then anyone at the academy. In her head she knew that it was an irrational fear but that didn't stop from that irrational part from dwelling on it.

-------------------------------------------

This particular day found Lillian down in Forge's lab, she was one of the select few that had permission to be in there. And she only had it from doing so well in Forge's classes over the years. She enjoyed working in here on whatever. It was the place she could easily clear her mind and focus on what was in front of her. Plus other then the machinery the place was generally quiet. The lab was sound proofed so one noises from outside didn't distract those inside and kept noises in from driving those not in the lab nuts. But other then her room this place was sort of a sanctuary for her.

It wasn't long before Forge rushed her out of the lab spouting something about being outside and fresh air and what not. Lillian rolled her eyes but left without a fuss even if it was easier to hide in the lab. She didn't know why she was hiding from {b]Cissa though it was probably her worry that Cissa hated her now. Granted her solution of staying away wasn't the best. But who says genius' have to be logical all the time. Everyone is allowed some bit of irrationality right?

She made her way back to her room that she shared with her roommate Alexandra aka Flairer and shed the clothes she was wearing. Throwing on her bath robe Lillian walked into the bathroom connected to her room for a quick shower. Once that was finished and her hair dry she pulled it into a messy up do. Wearing a pair of fitted jeans and a simple snug long sleeve blue t shirt, with a short sleeve black t shirt over it with the words 'Men make good pets.' in bold pink letters over a pair of male and female stick figures with the male on all fours with a leash around his neck leading to the woman's hand. That shirt made her laugh she had gotten in a long time ago as a joke. Over all she was going for comfy over style or looks.

As she walked the halls talk of prom and the newly passed Mutant Registration Act had people all a buzz. Lillian tried her best to tune them out as she walked. Taking the quickest exit out of the building which happened to lead to the gardens and the hedge maze. The maze seemed like a good place. Not many people tended to go in there.

It took no time to reach the center of the maze. She laid down on one of the two benches and just stared up at the sky. Fearing Cissa was no longer saw her as a friend wasn't her only concern. With the now passed Mutant Registration Act Lillian had something new to fear. Not that she had plans of registering. No she was scared that b***h of a woman, who married her dad a couple years after her mom died was going to turn her in. Never mind that woman nor any of her previous so called family would even know where she was. Last they probably knew she was living on her estate in Canada left to her by her Grandfather or the property in Japan. So if she was lucky that's still how it was. But a paper trail did exist showing her to be here at Xavier's in the states. So Lillian just had to hope the b***h never found out. That was the last thing she or the school needed was to have trouble with that mess.

Lillian sighed contently as she watched the clouds roll on by. She was doing her best to clear her mind and enjoy the peaceful time allowed. No matter how strange it was to have a time of peace no matter the turmoil outside the academy grounds it was a rarity to have. So Lillian had made up her mind to enjoy it while it lasted no matter what things plagued her mind. Of course she should just go find Cissa to put what stupid childish fears she had behind her. Or maybe somehow she would be lucky and Cissa would somehow simply stumble upon her. But that was unlikely as the maze wasn't high traffic.

Aria was midway through Rosin Murphey's Ramalama (Bang Bang) when she had the nagging feeling that someone was watching her. She improved a twirl but left her eyes open and scanned the area, something that would make most people dizzy. Usually you would concentrate on one point to stop yourself from getting dizzy, but she could handle it now and again. The search left no one around her, so she continued dancing. The song ended and she waited for the next to begin, We Intertwined by The Hush Sound. A personal favorite. She began making up a dance, something she was quite good at. She was very good at choreography, and she wanted to be a dance teacher some day.

As the song began and she danced about she suddenly notice someone watching her, but she ignored it at first. She continued dancing until she realized who it was. She stopped dancing suddenly and flung herself across the courtyard to hug her friend. "Quinn!" She knew the girl wasn't a very touchy feely one, but she was just so short and adorable she couldn't help herself! She hadn't seen her since she was given her promotion so she decided to share it with the girl. "You'll never guess!" She was practically jumped and dancing around the other girl, well she was actually. "I was promoted to the Junior X-Men! Teach Omega!" As she smiled and jumped around her Aura blazed up, causing her to be suddenly engulfed in pink. It was harmless, for now, and she stopped and shook her head at herself. "Oh there I go again, getting all cray cray." She wasn't one to spout such nonsense, she was usually calm and collected and cool... but she was kind of excited and Quinn was probably her only close friend here.

She arrived around the same time as Quinn, probably a little earlier but she wasn't sure. She never really asked, she could just tell that the girl was new. They met in dance class, which they both took here at the school. Aria had always been friendly to everyone, especially those who were deemed weaker than herself, even if they weren't. She was a natural defender, and had a crazy a** mother complex where if anyone messed with someone she deemed her 'child' (or close friend) they would pretty much be thrown into a wall, or five. It was absolutely amazing that Aria wasn't in prison, but then again no cop believed that Aria, a skinny dancer girl, could beat the bloody hell out of the quarter back of her high school. Oh, that was a fun one. It would always bring a cheery smile to her face listening to him crying to the cop about how she cornered him and single handed beat him up. Aria simply rose a brow and asked the cop who he thought would win if they were to fight, and the cop had to give the fight's win to the quarter back, who easily weighed twice her weight. No one back home knew of her mutation other than her mother.

She snapped out of her thoughts and smiled at Quinn, "So what now?"

She hadn't heard of Quinn's promotion, mainly because she didn't dive into other's business because she knew she would be told anything they wanted her to hear. She wasn't like the other girls that would beg and plead to be told who so and so liked, because honestly it didn't matter. She figured that was one of the main reasons they got along so well. "Oh! I heard you had some good news, too." She stopped fidgeting and looked at the other girl, still a little wound up from seeing her friend and dancing. "Emma told me that you had good news, so whatever it is congrats!" She smiled, nearly forgetting the her headphones had been thrust out of her ears when she hugged Quinn, so she wrapped her iPod up and tucked it in a pocket.

Thoughts: Music Room awkwardness

Location: From Dorm to Music Room

Tsukino awoke from her sleep and rubbed her eyes. She had looked over to her night stand to see that she had left her ipod on and that it was afternoon time. She was suprised she had managed to sleep so hard. Usually she was up before Bianca and doing her morning workout. But ever since the whole mall incident, she hasn't been getting much sleep.

Tsukino replayed the events in her head over and over again. She attempted to see where she was at fault how she needed to better herself. She was supposed to have helped with the bomb and use her barrier as the inner containment field, while Aurelie used her shield to protect the outside.Tsukino managed to get flung into a wall by toad and Aurelie had to form the first shield. Sure Tsukino had put a shield around Aurelie's but, Aurelie had taken the damage that was rightfully Tsukinos'. She put her friend in danger and that made her feel terrible. She made a rookie mistake by calling out Raine's real name during the mission, the thought of that made her cringe. She didn't want to be making so many simple mistakes that could lead to disasterous results. Overall, she had done her part and saw that she did do some good during the mission. If it hadn't been for her protecting the people at the fountain, she and the others wouldn't have had a chance to recuperate and make a plan for the containment of the bomb. So there were some things she needed to work on and some things she needed to give herself credit for.

She pushed her bangs out of her face as she pulled the covers aside and got out of bed.As she stood she stretched as high as she could into the air before walking over to the bathroom. She began brushing her teeth with her Invisible woman toothbrush after placing her toothpaste on it. She brushed for five minutes like she did everyday, before rinsing her mouth with listerine then water. Tsukino grabbed her flat iron and plugged it up.She let it sit there to heat up while she went to her closet to pick out something to wear. She opened the Closet to instantly have her eyes drawn to her pair of suade black heels. She picked them up before grabbing a white undershirt and a sparkly silver top. She picked out a dress jacket and a pair of black skinny jeans before closing the closet. She set the clothes on her bed before heading back to the bathroom.Tsukino gently began straightening her hair and as she did she thought of all the things she had to be thankful for.

Unlike some of the others, she hadn't gotten any form of radiation in her. She was told it was because of her protective barriers more than likely. Tsukino remembered she had her shield up when the explosion happened and had one up as she was exiting through the portal. So she was relieved about that but at the same time felt bad for members like Gideon , who had gotten exposed to the radiation. Although she was sure that wasn't really a problem for Gideon considering he is a wolverine clone. His healing factor is more than likely already getting rid of the radiation,at least that's what she hoped for her old teammate.

That reminded her, she heard they were getting alot of new Alpha and Omega members, plus a few senior members were switching teams. It came as a suprise to her since the Alphas were a pretty good team. Or at least she felt they were. Finally snapping out of her thoughts she finished straightening her hair before heading back to her room with her flat iron, to change her clothes. She quickly changed into her outfit she had picked out and sprayed a light perfume on her that smelled like strawberries. She smiled at herself in the mirror as she grabbed her ipod. She was about to take a whack at writing her first original song and maybe even ask Varis to the prom coming up.

Yeah she had a crush on the handsome irishman, but anywho. Tsukino laughed a little in her head before heading to the music room.

-----------------------------------At the Music room-----------------------------------

She got to the music room and before she even walked in she heard the familiar accent that belonged to Varis. She smiled but then her stomach filled with butterflies. She instantly felt nervous. She wasn't sure if she should ask him now or at all. She didn't want to be wierd around him either, since he was one of the few people at the school she called a close friend. Tsukino took a deep breath before walking inside the music room.

As she got inside she noticed that not only Varis was there but Bianca and Bella as well. She was glad thier team leader was alright after her bullet wound but for some reason she felt as if the Siren was unhappy. No one had noticed her walk in so she just went and grabbed her stand before setting her note paper on it. She felt bad for not saying anything when she came in so smiled at the three of them before speaking.

"Hello everyone! Konnichiwa." She said in her native language out of habit. She could feel thier was a awkwardness in the air and hopefully she wasn't interuppting a meeting of sorts.

She went back to looking at her note paper and a few lyrics she had. Although the lyrics weren't all together, she knew what the title was going to be. 'As long as you're there', pretty right? She just needed to get a good sound from instruments to let her know how to phrase the words and such. Varis could probably help her with that or Aurelie or both of them. She looked up from the stand and gave Varis a soft smile. A guy with a guitar just seemed so attractive.

Felix doing his best to wipe the amusement from his face he spared another glance towards the librarians before returning his gaze to his book. It was funny how mad they could get over something so simple. Clearly they were all way too uptight about their whole job and took themselves way too seriously. Typical librarian really, he found it quite amusing that even the librarians in a mutant school were no different. At least as far as he could tell.

He thought he heard the faint noise of someone sneaking up behind him, but just as he was about to turn around and look, he found out that it was much too late to not be caught by surprise. A finger touched his neck gently and shocked him enough that indeed his feet were taken off the table as he turned around. Of course he knew who it was before she came into sight. There weren't too many people who would have shocked him in such a playful way.

Giving Raine a look of disapproval he returned to his position and then just as a way to say 'nice try' put his feet back on the table. Her words were met with a shrug of sorts as he removed his eyes from her form before they lingered too long and returned to his book. "I think if I can survive an encounter with Magneto the librarians will be a piece of cake. Besides they are likely secretly crushing anyway. It seems to be going around a lot lately."

A glance towards her would tell her he was probably joking though as it was with him at times it could be hard to tell. He wasn't always so obvious with his jokes. Then, as if seeing her for the first time a quizzical look appeared on his face. "You know I am getting a very strong sense of deja vu right now. Do I know you? I feel like we might have been introduced before on this very spot. In this very library. We must have dated in a past life or something like that. Odd."

Holding out his hand he cleared his throat not quite able to stop the smirk from appearing on his face. "Felix Anderson a pleasure to meet you. Raine right? Wow how did I already know your name?" Removing his hand before she could shake he wasn't going to risk another 'playful' shock from Raine because he was being himself. Clearing his throat he returned to his book. "By the way I was promoted to the Omegas. I am not sure I should be talking to an Alpha anymore. I hear they have some kind of contagious disease."

Another glance would tell her he was indeed joking as he didn't want her to get upset as he gestured to a chair near him. "Please do have a seat so we can catch up brownie. How have you been? Well? Horrible? I did hear the Alphas were subjected to radiation. You aren't going to randomly grow a second head are you? Because as much as I enjoy looking at the first at times having to look at two of you will just be overkill." Giving a small smirk afterwards he waited for Raine's response. "You are way too fun to tease. Just thought I should let you know."

OOC: A blah post, but oh well.

I had hope, I believed,

Omega: Pool || Lounge - Playing Catch Up

User Image

Kerrigan's face poked out of the water, the redhead slightly out of breath as she placed her arm over the side of the pool to hold herself up. She normally didn't make swimming laps part of her exercise routine, but there was something about the nice day outside that made her want to be a part of it. Going for another jog just seemed too boring, so instead she opted to put on a bikini and hit the water. It was turning out well - this kind of full-body work out was sometimes hard to come by. Not to mention, she always looked good in a bikini - those years of training had certainly paid off.

Swimming over to the ladder, she started to pull herself out of the water, moving quickly over to where her towel was waiting for her. It had been a few weeks since the incident at the Courthouse, and a lot had happened since then, most notably the mutant registration act. She wasn't worried about it so much for herself as she was for others that had more destructive mutant powers, or those that just plain couldn't hide their mutations. Not to mention, Kerrigan had some government contacts through her father that he could pull, if it came down to it. But, until the higher-ups required them to register, she'd continue on as she was, not really worrying about it. Still, there was a tension in the air she felt like she could cut with a knife. However, she had a sneaking suspicion that not all of it was due to the political climate. Prom was in the air at Academy X, a mania she had somehow missed this time last year. Actually being around to see it this time around, she was kind of glad that she hadn't fallen prey to the crazed talk of dates and dresses - Kerrigan was not known to be particularly successful at either of those things, though the latter was become easier and easier for her to cope with by the day. At least now that she was in college, she had a feeling she'd never have to worry about such thoughts again. It wasn't like she had a suspicion someone would ask her, and if they did, she had plenty of excuses not to go if it was a bad match.

After drying her hair and dripping water from her body, the redhead wrapped her towel around her waist, slinging her backpack over her shoulder as she headed inside once more. Her light steps lead her past the weight room, glancing in to see Gideon, who was now on the Omegas. She had nothing against him, and in fact respected him in many ways for hit battle prowess and ability to handle field missions with a grace and ferocity she sometimes wished she could master more. If he looked up, she gave him a small wave, though she chose not to force her company on him for now. He was rather a lone wolf - if he wanted her company, he could come find her or something. Instead, she continued walking through the hallways towards the lounge, immediately seeing Orchid with Jacen, and Aurelie sitting off to the side. Turning her attentions to her fellow Omegas, the redhead dropped her bag at the foot of an armchair, slipping into it with a smile. She should probably be getting work done for classes, but it was much more fun to catch up with friends and slack off a little bit.

"Hey guys. Hope you're staying out of trouble."

User ImageA single sheet of paper, folded neatly into a flower lazily rocked back and forth on a subtle breeze, and out of the view of it's creator. Holly watched with a distant gaze as the single sheet disappear; her mind racing beneath her collected facade. She'd always needed t keep her hand busy when she was worried, and anyone that knew her would be able too see clear through her shell.

I would seem that she wasn't the only one stuck thinking about the bill, though. The entire school seemed on edge. Just this morning, Emma Frost had briefed her on having become a member of the Junior X-Men's Omega team, and also seemed on edge. She never once broke her calm exterior but her body language, her facial expressions, and even her tone had all given clear cut hints that her mind wasn't with Holly.

Her grandfather was frantic over the bill; both petrified and livid. Like she was sure many other mutant parents had, he'd also tried to talk Holly into coming home. She saw where the man came from, and was truly tempted to do so, but knew the academy was where she was safest. She'd made sure he know too, and in the end, it was decided that she'd remain as she was. He'd also assured her that, whether or not she signed, she'd always be welcome home; fugitive or not. The conversation was undoubtedly the deepest one they'd ever had, and the teenage girl had spent the rest of the night crying.

The tiniest smile made it's way to her lips – she knew she had a great excuse to worry, but also knew it did her little good. She'd resolved to herself long ago to resisting registration with all she could muster. She decided that she wouldn't sign away her rights away to the government, to matter how harsh the penalty. She wouldn't be a lab-rat submit to cruel experimentation, and she refused to let anyone lock her away for crimes she hadn't even committed. If that made her a criminal, so be it – she'd still have her pride left. She knew where she stood, and so did Scott and Emma. At this point, all she could do was wait.

Having finished another flower as she was off in her own thought she held it high and let it go into the wind, watching as it blew away. Squinting as it made it's way off, she could only hope that things would go for the best. If all went for the best, she'd remain free, just as that wind that had carried away her flower.
