"Chasing small game gives me an adrenaline rush. Chasing other foxes is more of a care free things. Also not all foxes have the same reaction. Everyone is different. Though I think you would like it," Pepper mused softly trying to unconfuse the other fox.

Marie scoffed. "Like it? It's running around chasing after something." What was there to like? Marie chased after prey because she would starve otherwise. She wasn't like some foxes that could live only on berries and such. Marie loved her meat. But if it would get Pepper off her back...."Fine. I'll try this 'chase' thing."

Pepper arched an eyebrow at the other female's snappish reply. "Do you really want to try or do you think by saying you will try will get me to shut up about it?" she asked having a feeling it was the later. "But if it is what you wish than I would be honored to show you." She said while backing up some to give them both space depending on who was going to be the chaser and who the chasy.

Marie shrugged. "You keep talking about it and making it seem like its the coolest thing out there. Why not try it?" Marie watched as Pepper backed away. Was Pepper going to chase her, or was Marie going to be the one chasing? "How do we decide who's first?" Was it as simple as saying one would be it first? God, they hadn't even started yet and Marie was already confused.

"It seems so cool because it's my favorite game. But like I said everyone likes a different thing." Pepper pointed out to her with her tail wagging behind her. " Well normally it is started at random by some one tagging the other and running away yelling not it. Though we can start it a different way."

Marie noddded. "I see. In that case..." Marie poked Pepper and took off running past her. "Not it!" Well then, let's just see how fun this game really is. Marie didn't look behind her as she continued running. Looking behind her would slow her down or make her run into or trip over something.

Pepper blinked in surprise when she was suddenly poked than Marie took off. Shaking her head she chuckled at her self and thought so that's how you want to play huh? She than ran after the bright yet darker fox. She ran and pushed her self to catch up with the other vixen.

Marie blew out a breath and took another one in. This was chase? Big deal. As long as she kept away from Pepper she'd have to keep running, which was starting to get boring. Almost unconciously, Marie started slowing down. Perhaps if she was the chaser instead of the chasee...

Pepper ran as fast as she could following Marie. Her muscles coiled up tight, bunching and shifting like a snake that was about to strick, her muscles were tense. She seen that she was so close to Marie and that made her excited. Tail wagging she pounced at Marie. With luck her pounce stuck and she was able to tackles the other vixen and they went tumbling to the ground.
(odds she hits evens she goes flying over)

Perhaps Marie should have looked behind her. If she had, she would have seen Pepper launch herself in the air and Marie might have gone a different way...maybe. As it was, Marie tumbled to the ground as the other vixen tackled her.
Marie spat out a bite of leaves and grass from her trip into the ground. She narrowed her eyes at Pepper. "Pouncing is allowed?"

Pepper giggled as the rolled with the impact of the tackle. When they stopped moving and was still she layed there giggling more to her self while glancing at Marie. She stopped when she noticed Marie didn't seem to happy. "Well yes. How else are you going to catch someone? If you just touch em there is always the argument of 'I touched you' 'No you didn't I didnt feel a thing' it saves from arguing."

Marie frowned. "I understand that kits would do something like that. But adults?" Marie sat up and pawed at her fur, knocking other dirt and such off. "Surely adults can act mature and tell the truth about being poked or something."

Pepper shrugged. "It is true most adults can settle it maturely but there is always the few that can't and or wont so you most."She hopped away from Marie to let her have some space and watched her carefully.

"One or two rotten apples turns the barrel rotten," Pepper said in agreement. Her gaze flicked back to Marie and away "Uh huh your it," with saying that she bolted in the nearest direction and made a run for it.
