Deacon had not backed down from the Hazcat's gaze. If it was war the creature wanted, it was hard to tell, but at least Felix decided better than to make good on his attack opportunity for the second time that day. Had Deacon been holding his breath? Surely not, he wasn't scared of something so much smaller than him... At least, when it came to his humanoid form.

Though that scratch to his nose was still really uncomfortable.

The tabby's gaze snapped from Felix upon the dresser to the closet as Riyo stepped out. He almost looked wilted when he realized that even for sleep she covered nearly every inch of skin. Oh well... She was probably as pale as a ghost under all of that, anyway.

Casting one final, if not challenging glance back up to Felix, Deacon followed Riyo over to her canopy bed and hopped right in as she settled in for the night. He could have been extremely rude, but managed to keep himself at least partially in check as he curled up on the covers alongside her, rather than perching somewhere on her person.

Not that he wasn't sure he could have gotten away with it, he figured it was best to work his way up to the cuddly affections. Getting thrown out at day one wouldn't be good at all.

Purring, he kneaded his paws gently on the blankets as though to fluff the material around him. After several minutes, he curled up into a tight little ball and shut his eyes for sleep.
