"A mutual feeling, then. How congenial." Her smile made his tone warm even more, and his soft smile grew wider. "You have a lovely smile, Lull. I should like to see more of it."
It's a bold move for Tide, but then, he'd never been a shrinking violet for announcing his feelings. He only hoped--quietly, in a deep, secreted part of his mind and heart--that it didn't drive this intelligent, compelling doe away. Her challenges and her quick tongue were enjoyable and endearing. And she was lovely. So very lovely, but somehow aloof.
He wanted to attain her.

Congenial was an apt description; it however seemed miracle would be more fitting. Or perhaps that was putting a bit too much emphasis on a chance meeting. It mattered little. All that mattered was she liked him and he, intelligent as he was, liked her, as well.
His widening smile, and his apparent want to see more of her own, made her bright smile remain. "And I should like you to see more of it," she paused as though weighing something in her mind before adding quite sweetly, "and more of me." It may have been a more honest than she would have chosen to be with most but he was special. Compared to all the bucks she had met, he seemed perfect.
