"Unfortunately not all parents are the same, nor do they treat their offspring the same either. My father was extremely strict, fastidious, demanded obideance and respect and did not tolerate mistakes. He refused to allow his offspring to be weak or incapable of handling themselves in a manner that befrets his station. I learned at a young age that I must be the way he perceived me to be or else the consequences were dire indeed, hence the reasons I am the way I am." he said.
"My word did I really just say that to her?" he thought worriedly. "She will think me unworthy as my father did" he thought miserably.
Standing still he awaited her reply anticipating and dreading it at the same time.

Zephyra was confused by Thalion's reply. "I don't understand your father's way of thinking," she said. She noticed his nervousness and tension, however, and tried to think of a way to change the subject. He was clearly uncomfortable. "Umm.... I... that is, there's a field nearby that has some of the tastiest flowers. If you would like to see, that is." She looked at Thalion, afraid that she had hurt him in any way.

"Flowers?" he repeated. "Yes I would relish the chance to graze upon some tasty flowers" he said in a softer tone then earlier.
Looking at her he suddenly felt the need to explain himself and tried to formulate the words but wasnt sure how to do so without looking like a imbicele or believing himself to be better than her. ~sighs~
"I did not mean to sound so harsh when speaking of my father, to me he was never a father he was my sire nothing more. He made his feelings known as soon as I was able to fathom his words and actions. He demanded such and I was obligated to oblige him as he was my sire" he said in a very low tone.
"Would you show me the way to the field please?" he asked beesechingly.
