"Animals I have seen? I have seen quite a different amount of species in the lands we are so lucky to live upon." he said. "The flowers are lovely with vibrant vivid colors that dot the landscape making it appear awash with a spectrum of colors." he said joyously.
The young one said something in regards to shiny and pranced off towards the horizon. "What do you see?" he called but she may not have heard him. Cautious to the possible dangers around him he sniffed and looked about and noted nothing out of the ordinary so he followed behind the young one.

Schuyler paused and looked around. "You are right. All the colors seem to be represented in this one little clearing. Its as if its a special world in itself." She said in awe. Then, remembering the shiny, she shook her head and started prancing towards it again.
"A rock?" Sky questioned. "How can a rock be shiny? What is it?" She asked Thalion. Never in her life had she seen a shiny rock. Then, upon further inspection, she saw a trail of shiny rocks. "Why are there more of them? And in a trail? I wonder where they lead!" Excited, she followed the trail. It really was a treasure hunt! Schuyler thought.

Thalion was following which he is not his usual place for he preferred to lead as he was born to do. Looking around he was sure there was something there that should not be but he just could not find it and it was beginning to agitate him.
Thalion suddenly stopped and sniffed catching a small scent of something odd it was a smell he had not smelled before and it agitated him something fierce. Looking ahead he noticed the young one following a trail so engrossed in her hunt she failed to notice the scent.
"Young one!" he called loudly but she did not hear him being so far up the trail. "Young one you must come back here now. I do not like to be disobeyed it agitates me. Do you hear me?" he shouted. "Why must this young one ignore me just when I was beginning to feel at ease with her and enjoying her company she defies me" he seethed.
Breaking into a fast run he followed her up the trail.

Hearing the distant shouts of her companion, Schuyler stopped and looked around. Behind her, she heard the Mister's fast hoof beats of his run. It was only then that she smelled the weird, sickeningly sweet, foul smell. She began to step backwards, always watching what was ahead of her, for that was where the foul smell was coming from. "Sir??" She yelled, her voice filled with fear. Sky's heart raced as she tried to back up as fast as she could.

"Did you not hear me call you?" he said as he slowed himself to a stop directly in front of her. "I called you and told you to come back to me, did you not smell that odd smell?" he asked in a furious tone.
"I have no idea what that smell is but I am determined to find out. You should have came when I called you its disrespectful to disobey your elders young one" he said in a harsh tone.
Looking about he did not see anything and the odd smell seemed to disiapate as if it had never been. "What is this?" he thought to himself. "How can a smell just suddenly appear then vanish without a trace?" he said out loud.
Realizing the young one was trying to back up but he was blocking her way he moved to allow her to regain her footing and catch her breath. She seemed to be wary and skittish. "I must have frightened her severely but that smell was not one I have smelled before and it alarmed me." he thought.
"Young one I am not used to saying this so I will try to say it without sounding unsure or whiny. I did not mean to frighten you with my shouts I was concerned that some harm might befall you and I could not stop it in time" he said with his head lowered. "I am unaccustomed to worrying over anyone but myself and to be honest it is very nerve wracking." he said. "As you can plainly tell I am not used to being in other's company and that is why I prefer the peace and serenity of the woods. No one judges me here I am free to relax and not worry about others" he said.
"I hope she understands what I am trying to say" he thought.

Schuyler shook her head. "I did not hear you calling me Sir...And to be honest...its not uncommon for me to be so focused on one thing that I don't notice anything else. I know I should be more careful...but sometimes i just can't help it" She once again sniffed the air and the foul scent seemed to have disappeared as he had pointed out. "The smell is gone...it was so foul and disgusting..." Sky commented, her flesh shivering with the recollection.
Sky stood up properly again, "You didn't really scare me Mister. It was the smell that scared me. I understand. I suspect that me just waltzing into you sanctuary wasn't really the ideal day and I'm sorry Mister, and I just wanted to be your friend." She said simply, looking down as she did so. "Not everyone judges sir, only the ones that aren't secure with themselves." She said in a very mature way.
She turned back to the matter on hand, "Do you think the smell might have come from something in the sky? I didn't look up at all so I wouldn't know. Could the trail have been a trap?" She asked him worriedly.

"I am unsure of exactly what that smell was due to but I will be sure to warn the King of it when I return" he said. "I am not used to being around foals for this length of time. I am not trying to be cruel to you I am just unsure of what to do or say if that makes sense" he told the young one. "I feel out of my element around other azreins but foals just exaperate me to no end" he said truthfully.
Gazing up the trail Thalion sniffed and peered intently trying to ascertain if there was a trap but nothing alerted him to any danger. Lowering his head he looked at the young one and said "I am unsure of what this trail leads to but for now let's go back the other way where I am sure we are safe".
Turning he started to walk back towards the field and glanced back to see if the foal was following him.

"The King?" Schuyler asked questioningly. "I understand what you mean, Sir, sometimes I feel awkward too..." She paused and followed her new friend. "I didn't like how it felt back there. I would much rather go back to the pretty part of the meadow we were earlier." She said as she pranced happily beside him.

Thalion turned back again to be sure that the young one was following him towards the meadow and saw her prancing not to far from him. Despite his intentions he smiled and laughed abit to himself. "What is wrong with me?" he asked himself. "How has this young, precocious, enegetic foal managed to get past his barriers and make him feel?" he pondered.
"When we return to the meadow what game would you like to play?" he asked her joyfully.

Schuyler pranced happily, a smile plastered to her face. "Hmmm, thats a hard decision. Hide and seek wouldn't really work because, well, its a meadow and there's no where to hide!" She exclaimed with a giggle. "And tag would be kind of unfair since your legs are longer and mine still trip me sometimes." And as though her body had to prove her right, she tripped over her own feet and did a somersault. Once she had quit moving, she began to laugh. "It just had to prove me right!"

Watching the foal she seemed to be very happy at the prospect of playing a game with him which he could not fathom how that would make her so joyous.
Suddenly she tripped, flipped into a somersault and landed. Worried she may have hurt herself, Thalion rushed over to check her. He had just reached her when suddenly she began to laugh joyously.
Unnerved he skidded to a halt and stood staring at her as if she had grown another head. Eyes wide he stared at her and tried to understand why she was laughing. "She fell yet she does not cry she laughs, odd. Why?" he thought to himself. "This foal is beyond my comprehension. I feel out of my element with her yet I want to stay in her presence." he said softly.
"Young one have you injured yourself?" he asked her.

"Well, my butt hurts a little bit...but it just scared me a little bit." Schuyler looked up at him smiling. "I didn't mean to scare you, sir. I tend to trip a lot, even though I never try to and I try so hard not too. Everyone tells me it's just a phase that I'll grow out of, but I really don't think so." She said sadly. Shaking her head, she got up.
"But that's all right, I'm sure they're right. I also get side-tracked a lot." She ran a few circles around him. "So what game is it we decided to play?" She asked enthusiastically.

"Smiled, My word she smiled at me?" he thought to himself dumbstruck. "Why is she so happy to be around me?" he muttered to himself.
"I do believe they are right, once you are fully grown you will be able to maneuver yourself without tripping. You will move with dignity, grace and serenity. Never allow anyone to say otherwise". he said. "Trust in your abilities and you will do fine, remember you only have yourself to rely on". he said sternly.
Watching her as she ran circles around him he couldnt help but chuckle. "You sure are a energetic young one arent you? Do you ever sit still to admire your surroundings?" he asked.
"Im not sure what game young one, is there one you wish to play?" he said to her as he circled around him yet again.

Schuyler beamed at him with his thoughts of her grace but ceased her running. "Thank you. But...surely there will be someone I can rely on. I mean, my parents have each other that they rely on and trust. Why don't you think so?" She cocked her head as she asked. "And yes I do sit still! Its just...hard sometimes." She said with a giggle. "The land is really pretty, but I think there's always a time to admire things...and a time to play!" Enthusiastically, she pranced as she thought of games to play.

"Each azrein has their own destiny, some do have a mate to rely on others are not granted that privilige, some do indeed have their parents even after maturity to rely on, some never had that luxury and will never will" he told her.
Watching her he noticed she exuded happiness, which absolutely stunned and confused him. The longer he was around her the happier she became. "Odd, this young one actually enjoys being around me, which to me is extremely perplexing. Most azrein flee when I am near but this one seems not to care, either its due to the fact she is a young one or she just does not seem to be bothered by my temper" he thought to himself.
She started prancing around seeming to be full of happiness and energy as usual. "Yes young one play time" he said in a slightly happy tone. "The game shall be what?" he asked her.
