Grant smiled. If there was one thing he liked to listen to more than anything else in the world it was people laughing, and he wouldn't have noticed if she was, in fact, laughing at him. Since she didn't let herself go, though, he had to settle for the happy look on her face instead.
He nodded his head as she spoke.
"I can understand that. It is a little hard to wrap my head around. I'm sure you're doing a better job of it, though. I'm glad you can get over it that well, though! I think I'm doing alight, too. It's scary, and new definitely, but I think there are a lot of good things here, and maybe some still coming."
He was always optimistic, at least. He didn't stop smiling, even as she moved her hand.
"Do you think we've been wandering around too long? I don't want to go back until you're ready, though! There's so much to explore. As long as we're safe and happy, I don't think anyone will get angry with us." Those were his criteria for being okay with things, after all. He assumed other people worked on the same system.

Roxy wasn't sure if she was really doing a better job of it, in some ways she figured she was really just repressing some frustration and other bad feelings which would backfire on her at a later time.
"We can only hope for the best right?" She offered, "I like your thinking, Grant." And she did, his genuine optimism was nice and refreshing to hear over all the realistic thoughts she had running through her head. It was like talking to Flannery, who always had her head in the clouds and could always make the best of situations.
From her companions request, Roxy found herself taking in the sights with another spin on her heels with a soft hum. "I'm ready to go if you are," this didn't mean it would be a last time in this place after all. She could always come back later, but it was at least nice to get a nice long taste of this floor.
And really, part of her didn't care if someone got mad at her in this place. "Shall we?" Roxy gestured to the landing they had previous used to climb.

Grant smiled brightly and nodded his head. He liked his thinking, as well, but he would never say (or really even think consciously) anything so self absorbed. But the truth was, he thought the way he did because he liked it, and it was that simple.
Why make it more complicated than that? He never felt that need some folks did to justify himself. He knew who he was and why he was, and that was really all he needed. If someone asked him he would be happy to explain what he could, of course, lest he be rude.
But it never brought him down.
He smiled and nodded his head, moving to the landing and offering her his arm to help her down. He was nothing if not polite, and helping a lady always topped the gentleman duty ladder.
