It was agonizing waiting for the attack to come and the pain to follow, she wanted it to be done already, to be over with although when he sunk his claws in to her skin and sliced her, she could of waited forever if it meant she never felt it again. Yelping loudly, she tried to struggle and use her front legs to pull her body away from him; failing, tears came to her eyes as she squeezed them shut, her ears were tight against her skull and with every pounding heartbeat and crisp breath the pain became more demanding upon her body. She didn't want to look at him, to see the blood - her blood - as it dripped from his claws and fangs, or know when the next attack was going to be.
It would be easier that way. "Please! Let me go..." She knew there was no reasoning with the beast aside her, or anyway that he was going to show mercy but she had to try, she had to say something that might be able to persuade him. She couldn't let her mind crumble in the deathly silence, only his breathing to torment and run herself in to ruins whilst he tore her physical being to his liking. It wasn't right, even he had to have a heart. Something that would get through to him.
____
Shadow watched, almost too calmly as the SW stroke a clean swipe in to her daughters body, only her ears twitched at the yelp that she let out. She took in a deep breath and then moved from the shadow of the tree she was stood by, her tail swayed side to side and her eyes moved to look over Sheria and the red liquid that was leaking down her and the male who was going to make a meal out of her. "I think you have done enough, don't you?" She spoke out, her fangs were curled over her lips as they raised letting out a low warning growl. She lowered her head, body hunched over in a position to pounce or corner him. She kept a careful eye, at the ready to leap for him if need be.
"Sheria, I hope you have learned your lesson from this." She swiftly gazed to the side to look at her before returning the red orbs back to the blue demon. "With fear comes respect and caution. you have to wield that power for yourself if you want to lead this pack with justice." She stalked closer, slow, easy steps. "And you, skinwalker. You have bigger, more enjoyable prey you could be having, why waste your precious time on some idle foal? Or you afraid that you wouldn't be able to hold your own with anything bigger?" She cackled all too amused. "Or is this the way of your kind? What a reputation, false to the core. At least, that's the insight you're leading me to believe."

His lips curled around his fangs as he stepped around, curling his tail around the filly as it bristled and puffed up with the rest of his fur. He some how knew that where a foal was it's parents were sure to come snooping. Another chuckle erupted from him as he crouched over what he viewed as his prize. "Mothers should keep better watch over their young or they'll become dinner.. Besides.. Ever think that maybe my little game here was in hopes that she's call for some one bigger to serve as a second course?" He was waiting for the mare to make her move knowing that how ever wolfish she seemed she was nothing compared to his family.. in the end she was just another dirty little pretender to him. filthy and unfit to continue the charade she insisted on dragging out with her growls. "Before one spouts out about false identities look in the lake b***h for you are nothing more than a shadow sullying the even mention of wolfishness. You are nothing than a little mimic and a horrible one at that. Females should know their place." He growled out. His father's pack the others knew where they stood. How ever they might plot still the showed him the respect as alpha wolf and his mother as alpha cat.. his sister.. she knew the position she held.. and that was beneath him.

Shadow laughed at his attempts to push her temper over the edge. "Don't give me that. Your bluffing has no effect on me, you had no guarantee that I would show, I am wolf my coat and tail are all apart of me, I may not have a mask to hide behind, some animal clothing you're cursed to but I would rather be a forest walker than someone who was created from nothing and lets see, more nothing. You and your kind are worthless, you don't fool or scare me. I have had encounters like this before and hell already welcomes me for I am a willing soul, I don't fear it therefore why should I fear the likes of you? You're insignificant compared, my dear."
Shadow never went a day without remembering her youngest of years, the creatures that killed her pack and tortured her friends, family. Those she loved and what made her become as crazed and power hungry as she was now. She didn't get to this position of power, of being feared by just sitting idly by watching as the world turned and went it's course. No, she did everything in her power to show others the suffering she could bring for the sheer joy and of course to satisfy the hunger of revenge.
"So what are you going to do? Stand over my child and watch, shout your mouth off all day and do nothing in hope that it will buy you some time before you crumble? Or you going to put some justice behind all your bark and make a move kitty?" She chuckled, eyes swaying across him, feeling drunk from the rush and the pleasure this was giving her. Oh she hadn't come across something quite like this in a while, she couldn't help but overly enjoy it.
_________
Sheria was afraid, the aura he was giving off was evil and presented itself well whilst her mother was giving her chills, they were crossing her body like stepping stones and she squeezed her eyes tight if she pushed it far enough then the SW might just decide to eat her already and get it over with. She wasn't sure if she was comforted by her mothers presence or further worried by it, she had not seen such a menacing side to her before. Taunting. The way the male was curled around her showed there was no escaping, not even if she managed to gain the strength to get to her hooves and make a run for it.
She could only hope that however it was going to end, it would happen soon because she couldn't take it anymore.

A growl crept from him low, daring her. She was baiting him and he knew it. "Cursed you say" He let out an eerie chuckle. "I am far worse than any of those filthy cursed souls.. I was borne this way.. straight from the pits of hell it's self." She wanted to fight.. the so be it but he also knew.. she had a foal to protect, one currently under him. How simple it would be to just snap the filly's neck and then deal with the mother's rage.. so many made too many mistakes in rage.. Just how far could he push her buttons? this was almost as much fun as torturing others was. In one swift move, he used his back paw to kick the filly back behind him like nothing more than filthy picked over bones left for the buzzards. "You want your filly.. come and get her.... mare." Not wolf nothing to acknowledge what she claimed. in his mind she was just a wannabe.. false to the core.

Sheria yelped as she was kicked behind, rolling helplessly across the floor she looked through the four legs, like a wall between death and safety and now she was left in some kind of purgatory with the only hope that her mother was strong enough to take the huge feline on.
____
Shadow nodded, she wasn't so much phased by being called a mare nor did she care for his comments, all she had in mind were the plans for the future and he had no knowldge or regards to that, as the power he so easily tossed behind him she smirked. "So be it." She lowered herself further then kicked off her hind legs and jumped to the right, skidding on her hooves as she made a sharp leap from one side, at him.
Attack roll -
1. Her attack is dodged and she lands on her hooves at the other side of him, looking back quickly. (Miss) 2. Dives straight in to him, taking them both rolling across the ground in a frenzy. (Mild attack) 3. Lands short of the SW and makes a move to get closer to Sheria. (Miss) 4. Sinks her teeth in to his shoulder, getting a frim hold on his frame. (Heavy)

A cool dark chuckle erupted from him at the mare's attempt. the fur on his neck stood on end and his tail bottled up. Arching his back in a very feline like manner, he stalked sideways with an evil, gleeful glare as he moved to put himself in between his prize and the mare. A low growl made its way as he purred a taunt. "Tut tut such a display so very.... useless." His maw split in a smirk as he baited the mare further. He wanted to push her buttons make her loose her mind. Flexing his claws, he sized her up.
Atack roll:
1: He lashed out with a hiss, aiming for her chest with his massive paw. (Minimal damage) 2: His attack is dodged and instead he makes an error opening a window for the mare to get to her foal. (Miss) 3: Lunges at her Going for her neck, paws wrapping around it like one large cat attacking another. (Heavy damage) 4: As a ruse he slashes at the ground and does a fake out lunge twitch as he kicks up dust aiming to knock it into the mare's eyes. (Dust cloud effects visibility for both.)

As the dirt lifted and curdled within the air, sending a heap soaring towards her eyes, she jerked her head to the side letting the mess collide mostly with her coat however she didn't manage to redirect all of it and specs found their way to her sight making them sting and blur to her dismay. She gave a growl of discomfort as the scenery twisted in to a warped, murky world. Water leaked at the side of her eye, now blood shot. She had one good eye to work with until the others focus came back and against a SW that didn't always give the best of odds.
Flickering a wired glance to the direction her foal was in still laying about with no intention of moving, she couldn't see her but she knew she was there, scent still traced with ease. Catching a smear of a shadow within the dust she knocks in to him with her shoulder and then turns, running a short distance away, stopping only to glance back. "You wanted a better, more challenging chase. Come and get it then, coward!"

Heziah squinted against the dust cloud. Admittedly he hadn't thought it through that clearly. As the shaded shape of the mare shoved into him he let out an irritated snarl. "You may yet regret this meeting." His maw split into a sinister smirk as he set off in chase. Sure he knew she was just leading him away from her foal. But if he could manage to shred this mare, the foal would likely still be there hoping for her mother to come and get her. he'd have a little snack for the road then.

Shadow's stare lingered in the thought that she may actually regret it but as long as Sheria got out of this alive then she couldn't care less what happened to her, she was an old wolf now where as her foal was the future. Her intention of the chase was pretty clear, it was an obvious gesture however he had explained that he might have just taunted and teased the young one just to lure a bigger, better prey for his game. Now he got what he wanted, there wasnt a way to dismiss the offer.
Kicking off the ground once more to set off bolting through the dark forest, she hoped that Sheria would get the hint and that she had the strength to pick up her feet and turn tail back towards home. Now that the Skinwalker had her scent, it would be an easy trail back but just one of them against the many members wouldn't be so bad... Not unless he drew his own pack. Many memories came trailing back as she ran, this was a ricky encounter, one to be wary of the future with. Not all meetings ended with just one.
Guess they would just have to wait and see. "I've never met such a slow predator! Pick up the pace already!" She laughed maniacally, taunting him in to the rush of the wind against her. She had to admit, he was more skilled than she thought, rather than just being a rash, blood thirsty kitty.
___________________
Sheria's ears lifted in wonder, she couldn't see anything only shadow's dancing within the thick circles of dirt, when it slowly started to subside she could see her mother running, kicking back the forest terrain in her leave. The cat walker spoke and she set her eyes on him. She already did regret this meeting. Her limbs still stung and her wounds were throbbing but she did have the strength to make a run for it when they had both cleared off. If not a lot she would try get as far as she could away from this place.
She would explain to the others what had happened, if her mother didn't return soon, would she have to presume she was dead? Her eyes became moist at the thought, that she could be the death of her mother and that the hunter may win this one...

The chide would have been enough to make any of the less patience and head strong hunters to speed up and ignore all knowledge of just how to bide his time. Not Hez, no he'd had long time to himself while his siblings were out luring mates he was perfecting the art of hunting, killing.. torturing and all around slaughtering. How else would he expect to take down his father in the future. and oh how he'd be sure his father met his end at his own paws.
Leaping over a branch, he pushed himself off the trunk of a tree and kept with the mare, never too close and never too far away. It was cat and mouse time now. His tail worked as an off balancing weight, when she turned, he'd turn always throwing his tail out to counter his weight as he made the turn.

Shadow was rarely uncertain, she didn't have an indecisive bone in her body, she always knew what she wanted and she went for it but as she was being chased down by the large stallion she was growing worried, more at the fact that he could have caught her by now. She was running practically in straight lines, turning a corner every now and then but not the tactics she would normally persue, it was enough to lure him away from her child and that's all her aim had be. So what was his game? Why was he just generally keeping on her tail when he could of made the leap ages ago when the chances came to him, not like she would just give herself up; she would put up one hell of a fight first but that wasn't the point.
with suspicion rising she darted diagonally inbetween tree's, climbed piles of rocks, leaped over twisted logs of trees that had been brutally snapped from the harsh winds. All simply to get further, he must have been loving the challenge of the chase. She knew how twisted minds worked and this would have given her more determination if the opportunity had come about. Biding her time, until she got bored. Maybe that was what he was doing. Her main initial aim now though was to eventually lose him once she was sure the time had been enough to let the little one escape.
"Not very talkative are you?" She added as she continued to make haste in a path made of obstacles, a smirk on her maw.
________
Sheria knowing the coast was now clear, struggled to her feet. A limp was clear but she was determined to get away, make her way back to the pack. She was relying on smell and howls to pull her through the journey and so she quickly made her way through the forest and thankfully it started to become lighter the further in to it she got. That must mean she had taken the right direction however a few falls and stumbles hadn't made it easy. She started to wonder how her mother was handling things, if she had managed to get away from the beasts claws.
She felt mentally tortured, that these scars would never heal and nightmares would haunt her in her sleep. It was all twisting in to darkness, engulphing her thought the longer the silence dwelled around her with only the stray hoot of an owl or the scampering of creatures too small to make out in the dim light. Soon the rush of water filled her ears, breaking her from the thoughts that itched in her mind, that meant she was close and at that she let out a sigh of relief. All her body flooded of it's weight, like she was on a cloud just drifting within the sky heading to wherever the wind took her. Perhaps that was the exhaustion kicking in at a high magnitude. She wasn't sure but whatever the feeling, it was giving her the strength to move forward.

His eyes glistened with the dark joy of how the events were folding out. Now this game was becoming more interesting by the second. Every obstacle she put in his way would be done in vain. He was use to this sort of chase. Taking to the trees, he stayed with her always in view making only the sounds the branches gave as he made his way over them. Seeing a small opening in the obstacles, he dropped down. He easily fell back in behind her within reach of her.
It was now or never, she'd be looking to loose him soon, this he was sure of. He slashed out with a massive paw, aiming for her hind leg to trip her up much like a lion would a deer. So many mare's he'd caught this way, so much prey fell down battered and bruised before he'd start his real game.

Shadow was wondering what was taking the beast so long to make his move, all he was doing was chasing and the consistant obstacles must have been wearing him down some what. That's what she was hoping for at least. A wolf had stamina and grip, cats had agility and agile frames. So how long would it take? She heard a drabble against the terrain once more, ears flickering at the whip within the wind. Casting a glance out the side of her eyes, she saw the paw raise. 'Finally, things are starting to heat up.' She thought, halting rather abrupt, then buckarood back as the paw struck her in turn she aimed for his chest. Gritting her teeth at the pain of his strike.
"Not the reaction you were expecting?" She laughed, turning her body around once more to stare the kitty in the eyes. Her daughter must have reached the pack by now, she hadn't kept trak of how long it had been but the raspy breaths fleding in to the air in front of her told her it had been long enough to start wearing her down in this game of prey and tag. "How long do you think you can keep this up?" She asked, rather bluntly doing her best to forget the pain tattered in her leg. She wouldn't be able to make a straight, easy run to freedom now but she wasn't the one to give up. Limp or no limp.
____
Sheria with a soft thud against the dens bedding, could not stay awake any longer, the night had taken it's toll and the last of her strength had been sucked dry. She closed her eyes and let the restless sleep take her.

He'd seen the buck happen a little to late. Hooves planted into his chest, knocking the air from him. he made an audible 'woaf" sound and staggered back, crimson staining the claws of one paw. A look of shock crossed his face. He'd been foolish.. too focused on taking the mare down that he hadn't anticipated the mare to attack him in return. So many had just fled and tumbled and took his attack without much struggle but this..... this had taken him off guard and while it was an annoyance.. it amused him at the same time. She gave a new edge to the game. A higher level of difficulty to over come and in turn... She'd have to pay for ruining his fun and allowing his snack to get away. Regaining his composure, he chuckled darkly. "Makes no difference. Either way You'll forever be haunted by this encounter."

Shadow found his assumption infinitely amusing, a grin spread across her maw, a dangerous glint of joy within her eyes flashed complimented by a loud, crashing cackle of a laugh; one that could of broke glass and made eardrums bleed. "That's a good one." She showed her fangs in the delight of his ignorance, staring in to his eyes which to most would of filled them with terror. "I do not fear you, if that's what you're thinking. You may have strength, the abilities of a predator but you're forgetting one thing, so do I whether you want to admit it or not. This encounter will not haunt me, I have met many twisted demons and you're far from the most standard of them all. Now, little inkling, give me a real show, my main aim of this game has already been met and frankly I'm growing tired of this sherade."
If she didn't fight back now then getting back home wouldn't be an option unless she was the first to spill his blood on this damned terrain. Oh, how she loved a challenge and it was far from the most thrilling adventure she had been on but it would satisfy her for a short while until the next came a long. She turned her head to see her injured leg, it was sure to cause an inconvenience but no matter it was another problem she would just have to work around and keep noted that pressure would further the wound and render her powerless without the use of it. In her thought, she bit her bottom lip with her fang, these thoughts had to come quickly or he would be the one to make the next move. Fortunately, she wasn't going to let that happen.
Snapping her head back around, with less power than she would of liked she lowered her head and jumped forward, pushing off with her one capable, back limb and landed on her two front hooves pushing upward in a tackle using her body weight as the force. One buckaroo wasn't going to be enough to fully wear him out and this scrap had been coming from the start it seemed like being tactical and sharp was the way to go, the getaway would come later considering the violence obviously couldn't be avoided.
