"Yeah, there was this festival not too long ago, with lots of fish, so I got myself a tank and started collecting punkeesh," Roch said, grinning. "They're awesome! But... well, I don't think Riff here's too happy with them," he admitted.
"You know 'The Game of Love'?" he asked her. "Phantana's song. Well, he does the guitar."

“Oh, I see!” Hel replied. The sprite…got into a fight with the fish, huh? How did…one exactly get into a fight with fish? “As long as you don’t return to your room to find and casualties?” She helpfully suggested in regards to the quarrelling.
The reaper’s face lit up in recognition at the name and song, and she smacked a fist on her palm excitedly. “Yes, I do!”

"Yeah, but she still hasn't managed to light the water on fire, so I probably won't," Roch said in a very point blank manner, even though what he had just suggested was ridiculous. Possibly. "But I couldn't leave her in there today, she probably would have lit the entire room on fire trying." He started the song, his guitar strong and sharp even though he wasn't using any of the amps piled up in the corner, or even plugged in. He'd had to play this a million times back home, Old Mrs Wheedle fancied herself a grand singer. She wasn't, but there was no way in hell anyone in the neighborhood was going to be the one to tell her.

Hel laughed at Roch’s suggestion. “Well, let’s just hope she doesn’t get her little hands on any oil then.” That would float on top of the water…but she would still be able to light it on fire…? Oh well. “It’s good to have more company.” The reaper commented with a grin.
As Roch started to play, Hel was completely enthralled. She never had musical accompaniment before! This was awesome! She started to tap a steel plated boot in a steady rhythm as the reaper played, and she patted her hands on her knees to the rhythm as well. When it was her cue, the reaper started:
“Tell me Just what you want me to be One kiss And boom you’re the only one for me So please tell me Why don’t you come around no more? Cause right now I’m crying outside the door of your candy store…”
She went through the rest of the song, really getting into it, as her hands left her knees to make gestures through high and low parts of the song. Once the song came to an end, she was grinning widely, as she then clapped loudly and vigorously for Roch. “Your musical skills are amazing, friend!”

"You're good, too," Roch said with a little grin. "But hell, I knew that already. You're in. You got groanspring or a phone number that I could get ahold of you with? It's a somewhat small group, so I just send out a message for them to come when it's time for a meeting."
She was obviously in by that statement. "And you can't believe how relieved I am to hear you get along with Danny. Hey, you met Xiu, or Mitsu yet? They're also in the club. We got a lot of guys, too."

When given the confirmation that she was in, the reaper pumped a fist into the air victoriously. “Most excellent!” Hel cheered loudly, obviously rather delighted. Groanspring? What was that? She’d have to ask about that later. “Ah, phone number? Yes, the number I called you from earlier will do.” The valkyrie wasn’t exactly…fond of her phone, nor did she really care for it…but now if that was how Roch was going to contact her, she’d probably have to start keeping a closer eye on it.
Hel just grinned, and then laughed. “Xiu and Mitsu are in as well? How delightful!” The reaper clasped her fingers together, immensely pleased. Why yes, she did know those two, and was rather fond of them. Maybe too fond of them. “I think Xiu will make a wonderful wife one day.” She informed so randomly. The reaper was rather hung up on this thought, and felt the need to tell anyone who brought up Xiu in a conversation. Hey, that was a compliment coming from her!

He choked. "Wha--wha--what?" he yelped. "Did Mot tell--I mean--it's--" He looked so absolutely flustered by that comment that it was funny. His face was BRIGHT red, and had he not been sitting down he might have staggered back a few steps. "She hasn't even said she'd be my ghoulfriend yet! You're WAY jumpin' the gun--"

Hel was pulled out of her happy daze as Roch choked and yelped, and she blinked at her fellow reaper, confused. “Did Mot tell what…?” A brow rose as she took in his flustered expression and bright red face. What was he getting so worked up about?
“Ghoul friend…?” The reaper’s eyes narrowed as she tried to process what he was getting at, until it clicked. Hel smacked her fist in her palm once more. “Oh! Are you fond of Xiu, friend?” She questioned happily. “I am not surprised. She is a wonderful, endearing ghoul. Whoever takes her hand will be a very lucky boil indeed.”

He calmed down, still red, but grinning slightly. "Yeah, I know," he said simply. They would be, and he swore he'd beat the b*****d bloody if they weren't good to her--er, if it wasn't him--
No, he'd probably beat the crap out of himself, if she did say yes. Hell, once again he was acknowledging that he would suck as a boilfriend. He probably should just let her off the hook already, the way she kept avoiding the "talk."
"Well yeah, you're in," he said, changing the subject. "I'll call you the next time we plan a meeting, alright?" His fingers, more expressive than his face, started strumming out a bittersweet tune that he couldn't even remember the name to.

“Hoping it will be you one day, friend?” Hel asked curiously, wide eyed with enthusiasm. She wasn’t aware that Roch liked Xiu like that at all!
“Most excellent.” The reaper was very pleased with herself, clasping her hands together, as she gave a firm nod of her head. “Understood! I will be there!” Hopefully it wouldn’t conflict with any Brute Ball practices! She paused though, and listened as Roch started to strum out a song on his guitar. Bitersweet, and Hel liked it! She sat there, listening quietly for a bit, before suddenly piping up. “Say there friend, do we have time for one more song?”

"Hmm?" he asked, a bit blankly. "You got one in mind?" he asked curiously as his fingers kept playing on their own.

“ Yes!” Hel replied eagerly, sitting on the edge of her bean bag chair. “ Phantana again! You know…” Here Hel paused, getting the beat to the song into her head. “ Sometimes, I imagine the world without you…But most times, I'm just so happy that I ever found you...” The ghoul paused and looked over at Roch excitedly, hoping that he knew the song ‘I’m Feeling You’.

"Mmmm, yeah, I think I know it," Roch said. "Does it go like this?" he asked, playing the first line of the song. He didn't know it nearly as well as he did the others, though. "If you don't mind me screwing up once in a while," he admitted. "I didn't spend as much time listening to it as I did the other."

The reaper nodded her head vigorously. “Yes, that’s it!” At his statement about screwing it up, she just gave a dismissive wave of her hand. “Psshaw, you’re fine, friend.” Needless to say, she was very impressed with his guitar playing, and even if he ‘screwed up’, it’d still sound good to her!
“Ready when you are!”

He started playing the song, a little smile on his face as he let her sing her heart out. Now they had two singers, which rocked. He would have to figure out what the bands would be soon, he knew it, but maybe if he just let them hang out they would figure that part out themselves.
Less work for him was always a good thing!
