Cody looked at her but smiled thinking about it, "Right now... I bet that she is happy and healthy where she is... and that she is watching her little girl grow up big strong and the confident little girl that she is." He said softly as he held her in his arms.

Akiza then smiles and said "Yea. I miss mommy Cody." She then hugs him and frowns some. It had only been 2 months since she was shot and Akiza couldn't help butonder if sas happy for real. She wanted to hear her mother's voice again and see her face.

Cody heard what she said but then thought about it, "I miss her too but we have each other." He said kindly, keeping her mind on the positives.

Cody smiled to her and hugged her back, "I am glad to have you still as well and I will do whatever I can to make you happy." He said happily.

Their dad then could be heard leaving the house to buy more beer and cigarettes. Akiza was releived he would be gone for a while.

Cody heard their father leave but he sighed and held onto Akiza more, as if he didn't want to let her go.

"Mac and cheese please." She said. She loved Cody's Mac and cheese since he always made it taste good and sometimes even put ham or hamburger meat in it.

Cody nodded to her, but then kissed her forehead, "Alright then... be right back." He said as he went to go make it with the hamburger meat, thinking that she would be really hungry.
