Marissa nodded her head slightly at his words as she prepared to leave and hunt but at his next words Marissa froze in place. Her heart rate sped up slightly before she quickly pushed away the sudden hope she felt. "And what if your alpha male becomes threatened by me? What then? I will once more kicked from a pack and on the run again. No I don't think I will go with. You have to forgive me Ryu but I cannot continue running, I cannot continue knowing someone hates me just because of my talents." With those words spoken Marissa left the safety of her cave to hunt for their dinner. She quickly shifted and headed out into the forest surrounding her cave, being sure to avoid all the traps. Half an hour to an hour later Marissa returned to her cave in her tiger form dragging behind her the large body of a deer. Pulling the weight of the deer over towards her pallet she dropped the deer on the ground before leaving once more to take a quick dip in the pond close by. Once she had cleaned herself off she shifted back into her human form and walked back into the cave to lay down on the ground. She had already eaten a little before she had found the deer so she wasn't too hungry anymore. But on top of that her appetite had been killed when she had spoken of her past. So she just laid there on the ground some distance away from her pallet before closing her eyes. "Eat what you want Ryu, I already ate before finding the deer."

 Ryu Aidan Hunter"I can guarantee the alpha male wont be threatened by you" He said smiling at her. "I mean after all you just saved his life." he added smiling at her before looking at the deer. He managed to stand up a bit on his uninjured legs before taking a bite out of the deer. "If finding out I'm my pack's alpha male changes your mind, the invitation still stands" He said taking another chunk of meat out of the deer and eating it.

Marissa shook her head slightly as she looked to the male but allowed him to finish speaking before answering him. Winching sightly as she watched him stand up even though he didn't put any weight on his injured leg she knew it had to be hurting him still. "Ryu, I would say the fact that you are the alpha male makes a difference but it wasn't the male that tossed me out. None of the males had any issues with me until the alpha female started spreading her lies about me." Shaking her head, a sad look on her face, Marissa laid on her back against the wall of the cave and just looked to the ceiling. "For reasons of their own it is only the females of our kind that seem to have issues with me. I would love to be a part of a pack again, I would but I am not going to risk my life for a slim hope of having what I used to have." Closing her eyes Marissa sighs as her emotions shred at her as memories flash in her mind. "I'm sorry Ryu, I just can't risk that. I am sure you have a great pack but my pack was really close with me as well. And all in the matter of hours everyone turned on me because our alpha was jealous and felt threatened." Marissa curled up on her side with her back to Ryu as she tried to hold back her memories and emotions. It has been so long since she had last been attacked by anyone from her pack that she had been able to push back those memories and emotions. And now that she was having to tell someone about them they were all flooding back to her. She hated how weak her memories made her feel and wished she had taken this into consideration and had found a part of the cave the she could have slept in that was away from Ryu. But it was too late now, those memories were already breaking down her shields and tormenting her of all that had happened, of how close it had been a few of the times she had been attacked. She still couldn't believe that her own big brother had tried to kill her. She had been his baby sister, always protected and cherished and because of one jealous female that was destroyed. Trembling on the ground she cried and screamed silently, though she knew that if Ryu was truly an alpha he would be able to sense her fragmenting emotions and memories. He wouldn't be able to see her memories be he would be able to tell that they were painful to her.
((OOC: Now here is a question for you...do you want them to become mates after some time? To explain the way their race learns if they are mates or not is to basically be horn dogs lol. After intercourse, some hours later, if they are fated to be together a mark on their hands will appear. After that appears they have only three weeks to complete the mating otherwise the male will be an eunuch.))

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu looked over at her. He could tell she was crying, most likely having been betrayed, and all because of a jealous alpha. He couldnt just stay there and watch her cry when she saved his life. He limped over to her to try and cheer her up, he had to do something. When he got over to her he nuged her with his head. "I am sorry for what has happened to you, i cant imagine the pain you must have endured, or what you are going through, but i want to help you. I promise, if you come with me and join my pack, we will help you" Ryu told her laying down next to her and nudgeing her. He really wanted to help her out, and not just because she saved his life, there was something more to it. ((OOC: sure, whats eunuch?))

As Marissa continued to relive her past she had been pulled so far into her memories that she had forgotten all about being in her cave with another male. At the feel of a large head nudging her shoulders Marissa tensed and prepared to fight if needed before taking in deep breaths to try and push everything away from her. As she breathed she took in the scent of the male she had helped and remembered that it wasn't some male from her pack, that it was an unknown male that she had saved nudging her. When she felt like she could speak without screaming or sobbing she did so, but still the pain and sadness was able to be heard clearly in her voice. "Thank you for that Ryu, but I don't think there is any help for me. I have been living on my own for over 300 years and even when I had proof that I had done none of the things the alpha had accused me of, my own brother tried to kill me for getting even slightly close to where we had lived." She couldn't believe she had just said that but as she heard his last words Marissa took a breath and did something she hadn't done since she had last tried to see her family and prove she had been innocent. She trusted. "I will go with you Ryu, but at the first signs of anyone, and I do mean anyone, turning against me I will leave. I will not go through that again. I will not get attached to those in your pack and watch them too turn on me. I just hope that you will still keep your promise and keep this cave a secret. This is the only place I have been some what safe in." She still hadn't moved from how she had been laying and her body still trembled as her mind tried to force her to continue to relive her past. She knew that once Ryu left her side those memories would take a hold of her once more and she knew that she wouldn't be able to fight them. She wished for once that she still had her big brother to comfort her, but those days were gone and there was no one for her to get comfort from.
((OOC: Eunuch, in this case they wouldn't really be castrated but it would be close to that. If the female doesn't accept and complete the mating she will be able to go on with her life and have intercourse with many men, but never be able to have children. The males on the other hand will never be able to be with another woman. They can only have children/litters with their mates.))

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu layed down next to her and nuged his head aginast her shoulders. "Thank you, i promise no one will turn on you or try to bring you any harm." He told her with confidence. he knew no one would try to pull anything like that on her. ((OOC: ok))

Marissa tensed even more as she felt Ryu laying down behind her and nudging his head against her shoulders. She was so shocked by his actions that she couldn't move for at least ten minutes. But she quickly relaxed and as she felt his warmth seeping into her she sobbed and turned around. She buried her face into his neck and gently did the same with her fingers as she felt his fur between them. She couldn't hold back her tears anymore and it made her feel so weak that she could react like this in front of a stranger. Wishing she could say something she tried to speak but because of her tears and her occasional sobs Marissa opted to speak to him mentally. It would be easier for the time seeing as she was having a hard time controlling herself. 'T-Thank you Ryu...I p-pray you are right... I really do...But I can't hold the same faith in your p-pack as you can...You have been with them for at l-least 100 years, so they k-know you and trust you...But I'll be a s-stranger...a possible t-threat to the cubs and females...' With those words spoken mentally Marissa just let herself cry, let herself be comforted by the warmth seeping into her from Ryu. Comforted by his scent filling her senses and his breathing and heart beat soothing her pain. Over the matter of an hour her crying and trembling slowly diminished until her grip in his fur loosened as her hand slipped and rested on the side of his neck near her face. She had cried herself to sleep, something she hadn't done in years and hated doing. Tears got you nothing, tears fixed nothing. They just drained your energy and put most in a fowl mood.

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu just layed there as she cried herself to sleep. He just layed there with her untill he fell asleep along side of her. He was determined to keep his promise and keep her safe. ((OOC: ))

The next morning when Marissa woke up she nuzzled her cheek against the warmth of Ryu's neck before she remembered that this wasn't some dream, that she was actually curled up against Ryu in his tiger form. While she had slept she had shifted into her tiger, not able to hold onto her human form as she slept. She gasped slightly and jumped away from him, putting some space between herself and Ryu before she paced around in the center of her cave. 'How could I have fallen asleep with him near me? I don't believe it, I can't believe that a stranger would comfort me.' She thought to herself as she paced around in her tiger form. She didn't have the energy yet to sift back into her human form and she wasn't sure if she was ready to face Ryu yet in that form. So she paced silently as she tried to work everything out in her mind.

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu slowly began to wake up, he was stretching out and stretched out his injured leg and he winced, his eyes opening and he let out a wimper of pain. He looked down at his leg, he was feeling a bit better but it still hurt. He carefully continued to stretch out before trying to stand up agin, making sure to not put any weight at all on his injured leg. He then looked around and looked at the other tiger in the cave. ((OOC: ))

Marissa froze and glanced over to Ryu as she heard a sound coming from that direction and as she saw Ryu stretching she tilted her head to the side. As she watched him stand and keep pressure from his injure back leg Marissa softly spoke to him using the common mental connection all Katagaria had. 'Ryu, I think by mid-afternoon your leg should be fully healed. After that you should be able to head back to your pack.' Marissa didn't mention if she would go or not, and she stayed away from thinking or speaking about how she had acted the night before. It was humiliating to have broken down like that in front of a stranger, and not just any stranger, an alpha to a pack of tigers. She truly couldn't believe she had spoken about her past, about what had happened to her. She didn't want to look at him, not wanting to see the pity in his eyes so before she could even glance at his eyes she turned and stalked out of her cave before running to the pond and diving in. She needed some time to come to terms with what had happened and that she had agreed to go live in his pack.

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu nodded to her before he layed back down on the pallet. He would just lie there and wait for his leg to finish healing. He had hoped she would take him up on his offer, she would be a great teacher to the others that were struggleing with their healing. He decided he would ask her wehn she came back. ((OOC: ))

Marissa swam in the pond for around thirty minutes, diving and then coming back to the surface. She even took the time to gather up some fish for them to eat, grabbing them in her jaw before swimming to the edge of the pond and putting them in a hole she had dug near the ponds edge not long after she had set up her 'home' in the cave. After she was finished swimming Marissa padded back into the cave before grabbing up one of her extra bags and taking it to the hole where she had a large catch of fish. Shifting to her human form Marissa put the fish in the bag before walking back into the cave. She glanced over to Ryu before moving to a small fire pit and starting to prepare the fish. "I'm sorry Ryu for being gone for that time. I just had to come to terms with everything, had to work things out for myself." She still couldn't believe she had broken down in front of him and was ashamed of that fact, but she would try and not allow that to effect her choice to go with him or stay here.

Ryu Aidan Hunter Ryu looked at her and watched her start prepareing a fire. "Its ok, i just took a little nap, and my leg is feeling a bit better." He said getting up and putting a little pressure on his leg with out wincing in pain.."I do have a question for you, since you are a healer in all, and we have some but they are still in the learing process, and it would be great if you could teach them, but thats completely up to you." Marissa skewered the fish after cleaning them and preparing them and placed the stick over the fire so she could rotate the fish around to cook them evenly. "That is good to hear Ryu, I think you will be healed enough to leave and return to your pack anywhere between lunch and dinner." Glancing over to him she saw that he was still a little tender but that it caused no pain when he put weight on it. She felt sure he would be able to leave by the time lunch came. Focusing once more on cooking the fish Marissa listened to him speaking, not sure exactly what his question was, though she knew he wished for her to join his pack when he returned to it. "Ryu...I am not sure about this, but I will trust you. Just know that I don't trust easily and that if I sense anything from any of those in your pack I will leave. I do not mean to sound rude or cruel, but I cannot go through the effort to run again. I don't wish to run and hide anymore." Sighing she shook her head slightly, hoping she wasn't going to regret this decision. "I will go with you and help teach those with the talent to heal. I will stay as long as I can, and do whatever is needed to help get you great healers if I ever have to leave. That is all I can give you for now, and I just hope that if it comes down to me having to run again you will keep this place a secret."
