Taking a glance at the character select screen, Jericho took a moment before picking the one he felt like playing as this time around. He also set the two cpu players as random.
"Yeah, any of those," he grinned, "It's a bit of a free for all so keep on your toes."
Once the characters were selected, he set the stage to random and then the game began.

Free for all? That just meant she got to hit everybody, right? Well, that was fine in her book. Though, instead of picking the cute one, she went with the guy who had the big sword. He'd do more damage, right?
"Alright! I'm ready!" She just had to push buttons... Right? Riiight?

Jericho didn't do so hot in that last round. He kept making little mistakes here and there. The two cpu players were cleaning house. The dragon wasn't the first to be eliminated but he didn't do much better.
"...Alright. I'm going to call for a rematch. That was kinda a terrible round. You wanna change your character at all?" he asked her.

Jericho may have done bad, but Riyo...
Oh man, what was she even doing over there? Button mashing, that's what. The feline had pushed as many buttons as she could, as fast as she could, flipping the controller a couple of times to determine which position got more buttons pushed simultaneously.
It looked like her character was having a seizure on screen.
"... Uh.. Wow. I didn't actually hit anything, did I?"

"... Doesn't seem like it. But uh.. try not to mash so much. Sometimes it works out... other times not so much."
Levi did pretty well with the button mashing after all.
Shaking his head to himself, Jericho let out a breath and set up another round.

Mashing? Was that what the ghoul was doing to the buttons? "Oh, uh.. Okay." This time, she DID pick the cute character... Considering the sword dude had completely failed her. For a moment, Riyo watched Jericho's fingers on the controller before trying to position her own. Maybe that would help...

The game was frustrating him to an extent. It seemed that today was not a good day to be playing Brawl for him. Frowning as this time, he came in last place, the dragon let out a sigh before glancing over to the side at Riyo.
"One more round? You did better that time," Jericho said.

At the end of the round, Riyo appeared shocked due to the results.
"I... I beat you?" The feline asked, her eyes turning towards the dragon. Vat a tweest. Hell, the imaginary players may have beaten her... But how had she ended up in a higher finishing rank than Jericho?
"Yeah. One more round." Immediately she nodded, deciding to stick with the cute little creature she had picked before.

"Hehe, seems that way," said Jericho with a bit of a weak chuckle. He was more disappointed in his own performance that round than anything else. But it was his own fault for making those stupid mistakes in the first place.
Taking in a deep breath, he went on and selected a different character, then started the next round.

Riyo had to wonder if Jericho was actually amused by the fact that he'd been beaten by a novice. "I'll go easy on you next round." The ghoul teased, sticking her nose in the air and acting like she actually thought she would beat him. It was just a joke, really. She thought of it as a fluke and nothing more.
... Or was it?

Once again, the dragon found himself more or less completely demolished. Today just wasn't his day for this game it seemed.
"Well then..." he started, feeling both frustrated and disappointed in himself. He hardly stood a chance that time around, and he hated getting completely owned in... well, just about anything. Games weren't fun when that happened. Perhaps later on, he'd play a few rounds on his own to try and redeem himself.
"I think.. that's enough of Brawl for now," Jericho said while setting down his controller.

Holy...
Riyo had really kicked a** and taken names that time! With the cheesy grin on her face, it was easy to see that she was proud of herself... Until Jericho put a damper on her fun.
The ghoul was about to object, until she saw the frustrated look on his face. Oh... He probably didn't appreciate that too much...
Ears folding back, Riyo sat the controller down where it had been before. "Ah. Um... I'm sorry.." What was she apologizing for? Handing his butt to him? ... Maybe... "That was... Fun.." Fun? Fun. Genuinely fun. Not just that mildly entertaining fun she was used to. "Do you want me to leave now?"

Now that he thought about it... Jericho had kind of been off his game for a lot of things as of late. He had been repeatedly failing the Trial by Fire obstacle course and he apparently got something wrong during minipet training. Thinking about it was putting a small dent into the dragon's ego.
His thoughts were broken briefly as he heard Riyo apologizing. Wait, why was she apologizing?
Well... at least someone had fun here.
"Glad you thought so," He said before blinking, "Er.. if you'd like."

Shoving her hands in her pockets, Riyo stood quietly and started walking towards the door... Until she remembered what she had come here for.
"Hey... Jericho?" She asked quietly, glancing over her shoulder at him. "Do you ever have trouble... Uh... Controlling your FEAR? Like... Not just a little but a lot?"

The question asked was probably not the best one to be tossed out there with the way Jericho was currently feeling.
"Everyone has trouble. That's why we're here," was all he said for now, which wasn't really all that particularly helpful.
