Had ********* not seen it with her own eyes, she might not have believed what had happened. Normally youma didn't seem to have any sense of self-preservation. Most times they would fight tooth and nail to get any starseed, and many times, they would perish in the process. Was this youma an outlier, or were the youma in general getting smarter? There was even the possibility that the youma had merely just sensed another starseed stronger than this girl's and decided it would make a much more worthy meal for it.
Remaining in her place, the cat offered her simple opinion on the matter. "That, is what we can call a draw, Sailor Lenka."

Sailor Lenka sighed, realization finally hitting her. She wasn't a Jedi...she was...She was something.
THe child looked down at her gloved hands, then seemed deep in thought.
"********* am I? I'm...I'm not a Jedi...I...I'm not ever going to be a Jedi...am I...?"
She sounded so sad and lost when she spoke those words, as though they were a death sentence.

"Lenka, pick me up."
The cat looked to the girl, patiently waiting for her to finally pick the manx up in her arms. Once she was somewhat pressed up against the child's chest, she proceeded to explain what was going on here.
"You, Sailor Lenka, are what we call a Senshi. You are a defender of justice. I will be quite honest. I have no clue what a Jedi is. Would you humor a cat with an explanation as to what a Jedi is?" In the senshi's arms, the round animal shifted slightly to make herself cozy.

When the girl held the cat, she stroked her soft fur, sighing.
"A Jedi is one of the coolest heroes ever. They travel through space, protecting it from the bad guys, and they do their best to help people...haven't you ever seen Star Wars, ********* sighed. "It seems like nobody's seen Star Wars around here. That's so sad. It's one of the best movies ever...like ever ever."
As the short explanation of what a Senshi was finally got through the child's mind, she hesitated. "Well...I don't get a lightsaber as a Senshi...do I?"

The cat shook her head, her collar jingling to accent the motion. "I can't say I've seen Star Wars, especially since I am not a house cat. I actually patrol the streets more often than not." It wasn't as if the feline was trying to disappoint the child, but ********* did not frequent the televisions much at all.
"However, many of the things you described are all things which the senshi stand for. The Senshi are heroes who fight for justice. We are able to travel through space, though it is a bit more restricted than one might think. It is perhaps the most important thing for the Senshi to protect those who aren't able to protect themselves from the Negaverse and the youma."
There was a pause as the cat confessed "I don't believe you get a lightsaber... not that I even know what one of those are... but you are the senshi of watermelons. Your abilities are themed around that."

Lenka was quiet for a long moment, taking all of the information in. Finally she just snuggled the cat. "I see."
So...There went her dreams, but...
"But I still get to be a hero, right? I get to save people and stuff? The Youma and Negaverse...they're the bad guys, right? I get to go into space? That's really neat!"
Maybe this wouldn't be completely bad, maybe.
"Watermelons? That's such a strange thing to be a super hero of..."
The child laughed. "Okay! Are there more like me? I can't get rid of all the monsters by myself."

The feline chuckled in the girl's arms. "Alas, I don't control what you are the superhero of. Many other senshi seem to think it is the case, but I don't control that at all."
If ********* or any other guardian cat truly had the choice of what a senshi's sphere of power was, Sailor Iris definitely would not have been the senshi of rainbows. Or, perhaps she would have been anyways in an effort to actively spite the tomboy. There were just too many complaints from the yellow suited senshi that it probably would have been easier to give her a more masculine sphere of power.
As if her previous statement hadn't answered the question, the manx then added "And yes, there are other senshi. Many other senshi. However, many of them are older than you and may give you a hard time due to your age." ********* had seen it time and again from the older senshi. They'd badmouth the chibi senshi and the cat who awakened them. Considering how many chibi senshi ********* awakened, they were essentially complaining about her. It wasn't as if she couldn't handle the complaints. She simply let their words wash over her, since she knew that she was in the right of not arguing with destiny. It was the children who frequently had their feelings hurt.

Lenka nodded, smiling. "I promise, ********* I a Padawan Senshi? Can I be that? That would be so cool!" She laughed, doing a little dance on the fire escape, then hesitating, before releasing the ladder and climbing back down, keeping hold of the small cat.
"I won't let people hurt me with their words. I know how to ignore them, I used to get eteased a lot for liking Star Wars...and for my pet pigs. People think that's weird. But I love them. Do you like Pigs, ********* thought for a minute, then blinked. "Do you think my pigs can talk too?"

"Well, your official title is a Chibi Senshi, but if you prefer the title of... 'Padawan' was it?... then that is fine." This Star Wars thing had a lot of a strange terminology, but it didn't really seem to be a big problem for the cat. The mention of pigs did easily grab the manx's attention.
"Well, I have been told I am a piggy at times, but I haven't seen too many in this city. So I do not know if I like the pigs or not. I am pretty certain that the pigs do not talk. I could be wrong." The Mauvians didn't have to be right about everything.

"Well..." The child began walking back to the studio, still holding the cat.
"Maybe now that I'm a Senshi, they'll talk to me. That sounds like fun. I'll try tonight." It seemed like the whole idea of being a super hero was growing on her by the minute.
"Now...is this one of those comic book super hero things...I have to stay a secret?"
She still stroked the cat behind the ears. "I like cats though. But my mom is allergic to them...that's why I have my pigs."
Lenka sighed stretching. "Hey, *********, how do I power down out of my Senshi mode?"

As the pair approached the studio, the feline was looking about, as if trying to spot any potential looky-loos. When she found nothing, she gave the child the instructions on how to change back.
"Think of yourself back to normal... do that and you will change back." She offered a firm nod before she began to squirm and got herself loosened from the girl's grip. She hopped to the ground, landing firmly on her four paws.
"And yes... this has to remain a secret. If you go about advertising you are a senshi, you will likely put those you care for in danger." There was even the chance that those loved ones would have a reaction similar to Ridley's mother, who flat out rejected the super hero child because of the label "terrorist."

When ********* left her arms, Lenka closed her eyes and thought very hard of herself as Millicent again.
Sure enough, she changed back, then laughed. "Wow. That's kind of cool, *********!" The child giggled, then clutched her plastic lightsaber, seeming slightly sad, but still excited.
"Is there anything else I need to know? I'm really excited to start helping people, ********* sound of a car nearby could be heard and Milicent smiled.
"I think that's my mom!"

Was there anything this child needed to know? There was a small pause as the feline seemed to think about this question seriously. When it seemed as if she had come up with something, her head perked up.
"My suggestion is to get to know the other senshi who are about the same age as you. If you need someplace to start, I'd suggest the first place you start is with a senshi called Hugbell." As far as the manx knew, Hugbell was one of the first chibi senshi out there.
Since there was a mention of a mother approaching, the cat asked one final question of her own. "Might I ask what your name is when you are not a senshi?"

Hugbell...that was a strange name. She would keep that in mind and try to find this other Senshi.
"My name? I'm Millie! Millicent, actually...Millicent Lafeu...but I hate the name Millicent...it makes me sound like an old lady or something. I don't know what my mom was thinking!"
She laughed, then knelt down, petting ********* once more. "It was really nice to meet you, and I'll try to find Hugbell! I'll try my hardest, I'll be the best Watermelon warrior ever!"
Huh. That had a nice ring to it. Millie Lafeu. Lenka, the lanky watermelon warrior!
She wasn't quite sure what lanky meant, but, it sounded good!

Departing petting was always welcome, the round animal easily leaning into the fingers as they moved against her body. "It has also been lovely meeting you as well, Millie!" After a brief moment to allow the girl to pet her, the cat then wandered away from her fingers.
"And with that, I will see you later!" Despite how round she seemed, the manx certainly was able to move about at a decent pace when she started to run. Soon enough she was out of sight, leaving the child to eventually find her mother.
