She was wiser than her years, his Safura. Kosoko could not help but allow a creaky smile to spread across his features at her words. Hope filled his heart, as well, vying for space next to the love that was forever rooted there. If she was willing to give them a chance despite the risks that came with it, well, he was too.
"I want you to feel loved. I want you to feel happy. I just... I didn't know that you felt the same way. I didn't know that your visions pointed you in the same direction that mine had. And you are still not grown," he hesitated before continuing, "so I will wait. I am yours, Safura, forever and always, and I will forever try to make you smile." The grin on his face broadened as he leaned closer and butted his nose against hers.
"If you are willing to chance happiness on our future together... I will do the same. I will do everything in my being to protect you, to make you happy. All of the love I have is yours, Safura." It felt strange to be saying it, but hey, what did he have to lose now? Nothing. No, he had everything to gain.

Safura smiled as his nose touched hers.
This was the Kosoko she knew from her visions. This was the one she fell in love with as she grew up. He was the kind, sweet and gentle lion the gods had shown her after all. It gave her much satisfaction to know her own visions did not lie to her as she had begun to think.
"So the gods did not lie," She said quietly, a small grin spreading on her face, "My Kosoko was in there after all."
It gave Safura such a level of satisfaction to call him hers. She didn't know if in the future he would not be hers, or if it would ping-pong back and forth like a game between the to, but at this moment he was hers. She could say it with a level of confidence befitting that of her mother. He was hers.
"Uhm. I think we should go talk more in the woods. People are starring at us," Safura suggested with a small giggle.
She nosed him once more and broke away from their littled huddled pow-wow with a smile, dashing into the woods that surrounded the shrine. A sort of dare for him to come after her...
