Camelot smiled, and nodded his head.
"There might be," he said softly, though he knew it was a little dangerous to encourage young kids to go out looking for the magic inside them. He opted to play it safe, chuckling and nodding his head at her excitement. There was something refreshing in her innocence, and he smiled fondly.
He had missed this stage in his son's life. Though, it was hard to imagine Nate, even at a younger age, ever being curious or excited, sweet and innocent. As far as Tony knew, the younger Darrow had always been an obnoxious, self entitled a**. Other people's words, not Tony's, but he tended to agree with them even if Nate was his son. It didn't mean he didn't love the boy, his own flesh and blood, they had just never been able to bond.
Mostly, Nate had found Tony because he needed a place to stay. That's what Tony accepted, and he did his best regardless. It just was never enough.
"My magic was awakened when it decided I was ready," he said, leading into the explanation softly, "and that I could handle it without getting hurt. I didn't expect it, and I certainly didn't do anything to try and prompt it. Magic is a natural thing, and if you do have it inside you, it will make itself known without you having to do anything. Nature always finds its way, without our help. So don't go looking for trouble, okay?"
There, that felt like a good explanation.
"Let's get you home," he said, offering her his hand. Would it look silly, a man dressed up as a knight, walking hand in hand with a little girl? Yes. Would it look slightly disconcerting? Also yes. But Camelot had long ago gotten over how strange being powered up made things. And his age.
He would take her home, then get himself out of there once he was sure she was safe and sound inside her house. He wouldn't leave her to walk home, lest another youma were out there and waiting.

Minny nodded slowly, heeding the voice of a parent who wants to protect a child. He was very serious about not trying to make the magic happen. Maybe it wouldn't happen at all if she went and looked for it...she shuddered to think that she might have magical powers, and force them away because she tried too hard!
"I promise, I will stay VERY far away from monsters!" She said, crossing her heart with her index finger. It was something Jillian Mathson had taught her during recess. It meant you promised on your heart, a very big promise indeed.
She took his hand, not feeling the same silliness that Camelot felt. Instead, she felt like a princess being escorted to her castle by a brave knight. Oh what a great story she could tell her brother! She would top any story he had come up with tonight! But then she thought that maybe she shouldn't tell anyone about this...was it dangerous?
"Uhm, do you have any kids?" She asked as they approached her house.

Camelot smiled. Good, at least she had learned, or at least was pretending to learn, that going out and looking for monsters was not the best method to awakening these possible powers he probably shouldn't have told her about. He really needed to watch how he explained himself to people, as he often found himself unprepared for their follow up questions or the leaps they took in their understanding.
Especially the younger generations.
Her question caught him off guard, and he looked at her.
"Well, I have one," he sad vaguely, though he didn't explain that he hadn't been able to actually raise his son, and met him by the time he was almost an adult. He had come to find his father at the age of seventeen, and was eighteen now.
So Camelot was pretty sure it didn't count as having a kid, so much as an angry teenager.
"Why do you ask?"

"Well you talk like a daddy." She said, acting as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. It was true. The way he explained things, the language he used, and the obvious emotions made her think that he knew how to talk to kids, either from working with them or by having them. But asking him was is real job was would be too personal, at least form this standpoint. Most grown ups had kids, so it wasn't something that would give away his secret identity.
They were two houses away when she said "Your kid must be super happy their daddy is a superhero. I know I would be! That's better than that movie where the little boys dad turns into Santa Claus!" She started to skip, pointing to a house. "That one's mine."

Camelot laughed.
"Sorry," he said, blushing a bit. He had never been called out on his instinctive parenting before, at least not so clearly, and he laughed in embarrassment. "I guess I do."
He imagined he was just protective of people because he hadn't been able to be a proper father, watching a young child grow up, and now the son he did have hated him. Or acted like he did. So he had to take out his newly discovered but sorely unused paternal instincts on people who responded to it.
Or he felt needed the extra set of eyes looking out for their well being.
"Ah, yes," he said, though that wasn't true at all. His son didn't even know. Of course, he didn't know his son was a senshi, either. So they were even. He looked up when she pointed to her house. "Good," he sighed, sounding relieved. He was uncomfortable, he realized, talking about or even thinking about his relationship with his son. He wished it was better, so he didn't have to feel... ashamed? Disappointed?
He looked at Minny, smiling once they were safely close enough to her house. "Have a good night."

Minny nodded, noting that the lights were on in the living room and kitchen. Her mother no doubt was wandering around the living room, calling her grandmother and the school and old Mrs. Emerson a couple blocks over asking where Minny was. Her father or brother was in the kitchen, snacking until dinner was done.
Minny turned and smiled up at Camelot, and said "Thank you for walking me home. You should have a good night too!" She let go of his hand, running across the street without looking and bouncing up the stairs to her porch. Digs was held securely in her arm as she opened the door and ran inside, where her mother swept her up asking so many questions! Minny began to tell a story about some kids who stole Digs, but someone saved him for her. It was close to the truth, but not the whole truth.
Just the way Minny liked her stories.
