Special... Nathan's brain seemed to disassociate for a few moments. The sight of the key seemed to chase away all the thoughts and agitation from his brain. Yes, she certainly had his attention now. It was rather hard to keep his hand from reaching towards the key. His fingers paused for just a moment though. She was asking for something in return though. Nathan's mind wrested itself away from the un-natural allure of the strange key and back into it's suspicious track.
"Find you...something. What would this something entail?" He asked with a small frown. "I will not agree to anything without knowing the full details." He warned the woman. Nathan glanced to CHhsato, she seemed to be just as...curious was it? If nothing else she at least was asking questions that he himself would ask. She addressed the promise made by the woman, while he tackled the strings that may have been attached.

She did love the eagerness both of them were showing. Thief gently swayed the items before the kids. "It's just a little thing, really. A trinket that I seem to have dropped." The look Chisato was giving her prompted Thief to continue before the hen started squawking again. "It's a cup. You know, kind of small, round, you drink from it. I suppose a chalice is more the right term. And to show you what a lovely and honorable woman I am, I'll even give you these in advance! You can't say I'm not being generous and lovely."

Nathan gave the offer some thought. As he did, his hand strayed towards the tantalizing swinging key the woman held. "I would need to know more about this goblet your looking for." He casually replied. It honestly sounded like too easy a task. he'd find where it was, offer the individual holding it a substantial amount of money, and...and what?
And then he'd have a oddly compelling key to call his own? He supposed that it was his own money that he was spending. He had more then enough shored up in his account. His mother was unaware of exactly how much money his father allotted the boys, something he found curious for a wishy washy yes man of a husband to manage to do.
"What does it look like and where was it last seen for instance." He murmured while pondering if he should withdraw the money in advance or just write a check.

Thief was so glad she had their attention. And they were interested in her goodies. Not that she could blame them. They also seemed to want the trinkets, so that was a plus too. She slowly described the cup she had lost, and where she was when she lost it. "So, do we have a deal?"
"What's the catch?" Chisato demanded. There was always a catch.
"The catch is, you have to bring it to me by midnight. Otherwise the deal is off, and I'll take these back. The both of you will go about your little out of control lives." For a while. She thought with a smile. "Really you have nothing to loose, and a lot to gain, and it would be much better than this stuffy evening."

Well that was hardly much of a catch...or a challenge. Nathan glanced down at Chisato however. The evening he had planned was not stuffy! It was elegant and perfect. "I shall leave this choice up to you Chisato, tonight was supposed to be about spoiling you after all." Nathan quietly offered. Of course he personally intended to accept...but it would look poorly on him if he just ignored Chisato when making his choice. If she chose the same as him, this was a perfect opportunity to show off just how much of a gentleman he was by letting her choose. If she said no...he'd merely try some other tactic to change her mind...

She was finding this... rather silly in all honesty. Though she was curious about what this woman was offering. "... Alright." She said after a few moments consideration. A little spontaneous detour couldn't kill them, right?
"Excellent." Thief held the objects for them each to take. "I'll be waiting then."
"How are we supposed to give it to you when we find this cup?"
"Oh, don't worry. You'll find me." She stood from the seat and whirled on her heels. "Bye now. See you before midnight."
And just like that, she was gone.

Nathan's fingers closed over the key after hearing Chisato accept the strange woman's offer. It seemed to grow unusually warm in his palm. In fact, he would have sworn he could feel it throbbing with it's warmth in time with his own heartbeat! Casually Nathan let his eyes sweep over to try and regard Chisato's own response to picking up her own item. Nathan closed his hand over his key and slowly rose from his seat, then paused.
His silver eyes lifted and darted about for Thief. "She..did not tell us where this item is located." He said with a small frown. That was...irritating of her. Nathan turned to face Chisato and arched a brow. "Should we adjourn someplace a bit more...private?"

Unlike Nathan's reaction to the key he held, the bracelet she held felt cold. It was the sort of cold one might say burns, but it didn't seem to bother her. Chisato turned the trinket over in her hand before shrugging and slipping it on. She had no pockets to tuck it into, and it wasn't as though this was the most hideous thing she'd ever gotten as a gift. In fact, it was almost charming.
Chisato turned her eyes to Nathan as he spoke. She found she'd lost her appetite after that woman's unsavory display ad brazen disruption of their evening. "You're right." Ugh. She felt her brow twitch just slightly in frustration. "You know darling" she said the term with an almost saucy smirk. "we could go for some fresh air."

The key..wanted something. Or was it just that he wanted something from it? The object felt heavy when he slipped it into his pocket. As if that small object was far heavier then it ought to have been. Nathan attempted to focus his usual charming act on Chisato...but after the disruption it felt as if the whole act had been ruined. What point was there in playing now when it was all disrupted?
Huffing softly to himself, he did manage a faint smile when Chisato would smirk so and suggest a walk. He came around the table so as to offer her his arm, as a gentleman should. "A bit of fresh air would be excellent. Such a lovely idea....and we can...explore a bit?" He ventured thoughtfully. How else was he to explain this weird desire to go someplace private and...do something with his key?

It was true that Nathan's carefully orchestrated evening was now in shambles, and the guise of being cool and in control was gone. But this was still charming. Perhaps this was better. After all, what good is an evening if all it is was a show of money and influence? "Yes. Lets." She took his arm as the waiters came by. They seemed ... distressed that the couple was leaving. Had they failed? The evening that the young master Montibello had insisted on having was ruined. This didn't sit well with the staff as they were sure it would reflect ill on them.
Not that Chisato cared. They were out of the restaurant and into the cool night air. This was much nicer. "You know..." She said softly. "This evening might turn out better then planned." She just had a feeling, and those words slipped from her lips. "I wonder how empty the park is at this time."

"Better then planned?" Nathan echoed Chisato's words with just a small hint of disbelief. What he had planned would have been quiet the evening. Now there was no certainty. Everything had just slipped out of his hands and now they had to rely on pure chance and circumstances to ensure the night was memorable. It was starting to irritate him now, oh yes it was. He was supposed to be the orchestrator of her night. HE was supposed to be the source of admiration and the source from which wonderful memories were meant to have been sprung. That other woman had utterly deposed him from his imaginary throne. Now she was the source of this nights memorability.
Without hesitation though he turned his steps to the park. Someplace empty would be good for..whatever they were to do. The key in his pocket still felt as if it had it's own heartbeat, and it was growing warmer by the second. Nathan could not resist reaching into his pocket to palm the item. "I do not think many visit the park at night. I can not recall if there is a curfew there or not." Not that he cared of course. If any silly law enforcer thought they could drive him and his date out of a public park of all places he'd just have to get unpleasant. Nathan's eyes turned over the surrounding area while they walked. "Shall we find someplace away from the street lights?"

"Of course." She smiled. "After all, if the park isn't too brightly lit, we may see more stars." It might not be a planned event, but what was wrong with a romantic night under the stars. "This evening was a wonderful idea." She knew the signs of sulking. THAT would ruin the evening more then the woman had.
Nathan's hand slipping into his pocket didn't go unnoticed. Perhaps he felt it too. She gently tightened her hand on his arm. "It feels strange, doesn't it?" She asked. "Something in... the items." Her eyes drifted to the bracelet on her wrist.

Nathan's eyes lifted some from the surroundings to glance upwards at the sky. Stars were romantic he supposed. But without a eclipse or shooting star or expected meteor shower they were hardly spectacular. It seemed like a pale second to the night of decadence and controlled experiences he had planned up. Still...he supposed some attempt to salvage the evening needed to be made. Chisato was clearly being gracious in upholding her end of the veil wasn't she?
"Your presence is what makes it wonderful." He replied with a small not so forced smile. It really was nice to have someone to play with that truly understood the rules of the game. However, the game really was skewed right now wasn't it? Altered by the normally unwelcome moments of truth and honesty. Nathan's hand withdrew his key as Chisato would talk of the items. While she looked upon her bracelet, he looked down on his key. His thumb rubbed slowly over the ruby centered in the head of the key. He could feel his pulse quickening and unconsciously he slipped his arm from Chisato's.
"There is something but...I am not too certain exactly what. I would almost swear there was a compulsion of some sort." He felt a small degree of foolishness as he lifted his key in the air before him. "Almost as if...I know what to do subconsciously but can not bring it to the fore of my thoughts." Nathan hoped Chisato understood what he meant, otherwise he would have to resume his sulk of shame once more. Nathan followed the compulsion's nudges, and found himself twisting the key in the air, as if it were inserted into some door he could not see. As it tilted sideways, he feolt something..sharp...p***k into his thumb. Like a needle or a sharp unfinished piece of metal on the key had just stabbed him. Nathan gave a small start and opened his hand. But the key... was no longer there. Somehow, in the second that he felt himself pricked, the key had vanished.
A drop of blood from Nathan's own thumb fell to the ground un-noticed by the startled young man. It's effect's however were beyond un-noticeable. A circle of malign crimson light encircled Nathan. Arcane looking writing filled the center and lined the edge. The light pulsed, and Nathan felt a moment of shameful fear as he realized that the pulse was matching his own quickened heartbeat. "Chi..." He started to say, his silver eyes wide with a uncharacteristic display of fear before the light brightened to a point that it overwhelmed his sight. He could not see within the pillar of light that he now stood within. He could not see the change wrought over him. The alteration of his cloths. The changes to his very body.
The light flickered and died within seconds, leaving the magically changed boy standing with his arms lifted into a shielding position of his face. His head was bent down and his body tense.

There may or may not have been an undignified squeak that Chisato would never acknowledge. When the light faded, Chisato would be seen with her hands over her face. Whatever that light was, it was horribly bright, and Chisato didn't approve.
As she lowered her hands, she ended up just staring at Nathan. Staring, and not saying anything for several moments. She wasn't even sure that was really him at first. "What the hell are you wearing, Nathan?" This wasn't funny. This would ruin the evening more then that woman. She reached up and grabbed one of Nathan's horns, giving it a tug. "Take these o- Oh dear lord are they attached?" She stopped and stepped back, staring at Nathan.
Chisato wasn't the only one who had seen the pillar of light that transformed Nathan. There was a startled yelp from behind them. "D... DEMON! This is the work of the devil!" From nowhere, a can was thrown in their direction. It flew wide and hit the pavement behind the pair. "The end is near! The end is near!"
Chisato scrunched her face slightly at the repulsive vagrant. She was about to dismiss him when he chucked another can at them, and an old container of yogurt. In girly instinct, Chisato made a grab for Nathan's arm.

It was odd. Nathan could not recall a moment in his life that he felt so relaxed. His tense body slowly relaxed and his hands fell from his face. Blinking his eyes a few times, he peered over at where Chisato stood. "Well now. That was..." he was going to say strange, however the look on Chisato's face stopped him. What was that look for? What was he wearing.
Cloths." He curtly replied. Of course he was wearing---
"Bloody hell Chisato!" He found himself snapping as his head was jerked to one side. She had grabbed something on his head and it was clearly very much attached! Yet it had not hurt the way hair would have upon being pulled. Nathan's hand lifted upwards, and his fingers touched something hard and smooth. Slowly his fingertips slid along the curve of a horn. His features reflected a rather confused expression, while his tail curled into a ironically question mark like shape.
"I appear to have a horn on my head." Nathan remarked with a strange casualness to his voice. His eyes fell downwards, and with a pair of strangely pointed fingertips he plucked at some ruffles on his shirt. Hadn't this fallen out of style over a millennium ago? More to the point...why didn't he care?
"Demon?" Nathan turned slightly when he heard, and saw, the can skittering across the ground. He blinked, and amusement started to light up his face. "Do you hear that? The end is near hmm?" A laugh started to bubble up in his throat, though it paused when he finally spied the swaying of his tail. "Oh look at that! I have a tail, how amusing!" Laughter did finally tremble from his lips, and Nathan tilted his head backwards as he enjoyed the feeling of it flowing free. "Haa haaa haa haaa!" His laughter came to a stop when Chisato would take hold of his arm. Hmmm...It was odd but his skin felt as if it were warming up. Not in a unpleasant manner however. Without being completely aware of it, he immediately began to emit his pheromones. Nathan leaned towards Chisato a little, his lips parting into a grin that exposed the fine points of a pair of fangs hidden under his upper lip. "Ah now Chisato. Is that nasty bum offending you? Shall I deal with him? Show him just how close the end really is?"
