Waiting to see how Xiu would react to what he just said, Shun figured that he got something right somewhere along the way. The demon didn't look as if she was about to cry any longer. It seemed that his words were rather hit or miss for whether they helped someone at all. He didn't quite figure out what the formula was yet.
Then again, it'd probably be too much of a hassle to try and figure that out.
"You had to vent it out somehow," shrugged the Reaper as she apologized. He was still confused as to why she came to him of all people, but it at least seemed to work out. It was troubling to see her upset like this.
"Though.. I would have thought someone else be the better choice to speak with over these sorts of issues."

Hoping that a simple gesture like this wouldn't be too strange, she reached out and pat his arm with a soft laugh. "I...don't know about that, aniki," She mused, the small smile still on her face, "I thought that you could give me advice, and...you did. So...so thank you."
Rising from her seat, she stood with her arms at her sides and gave a low bow. Hopefully it would suffice as a way to show her appreciation, especially since Shun wasn't the type of person she could just hug. There was still a lot about the reaper that she didn't know, but Xiu could say that she was at least getting a good grasp on his general personality. The dream diving had probably helped with that.
She didn't tell him the same thing as before--that she was there to listen if he needed to talk as well--as the sentiment was always there. "I should probably stop being such a hassle and leave you to your peace now." A peace that didn't involve the threat of a ghoul breaking down and crying.
Straightening up, her smile flickered slightly as her brows drew together. "...I hope...all of this will eventually be..." Trailing off, she shook her head as she pushed the chair back in and then moved towards the door.

And advice he did give. Whether or not it was really all that useful or if she'd go with it was another question. Quietly, he nodded to the Baku, stepping back once she got up from the chair.
"Good luck," he nodded to her, watching as she made her way towards the door.
Shun.. had a feeling that she would have an easier time figuring out her own issues than he was. Letting out a sigh, he moved back and away to flop onto his bed.
