B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Oh s**t. Lina was was pissed. Sensing her anger, the large black fluffy head lowered. His tail quickly went between his legs as a low whine escaped him. Black didn't want Lina to be mad at him so in an attempt to make things better, the large wolf slowly walked over to his mate and licked her hand. The black tail came out just a little and slowly wagged a bit, hoping to cheer her up, but to no avail. He didn't want her mad! Whining once more, Black looked back at Adrian and then back towards the village. In all honesty, the Alpha wolf didn't want his mate to be near the violent wolves. However, he knew that Lina wouldn't listen to him. So with a sigh, Braxton looked up into his mate's eyes. 'The fighting should be settled down for now... If you want to, you can make sure that no one is dead. If you run into a problem just howl and I'll be there. Now just tell your sister to hop on and I will take her back to the house.' Once Adrian climbed onto his back, Braxton looked at his mate one last time before taking off. What was he going to do? He didn't mean to make the woman mad! He just did what he thought was best. Was that wrong of him to do? Jumping over some fallen trees and creeks, Black's mind tried to figure out what to do about Lina.
While running, his broken ribs would rub together along with Adrian clenching his sides with her legs, causing small growls to escape him. It really didn't take long to get back to the mansion. Looking up at his brother's bedroom, Black jumped up there rather easily. Walking inside of the room, his large blood covered nails clacked against the hardwood flooring. Bright eyes looked around the room making him think about his brother, and where he had disappeared to. It was odd but Black couldn't help but be a little worried about the man. He was sure that Nate would be able to take care of himself, and once he felt that he was ready to come back he would. Lowering his body to the floor, so Adrian could get off, Black shook his furry body before shifting back into a man. Walking over to his brother's closet and pulling out a simple pair of sweat pants, Black pulled them on. "Your things are over in the corner. Everything was brought over earlier. The bathroom is over to the right. Whenever you feel the need to talk just call. I'll be able to hear you." With that said, the bleeding and bruising man walked out and quietly shut the door behind him.
Walking into his own bedroom, Black went into his bathroom and started to take a cool shower. The cold water felt good on his aching muscles and once he finished washing all the blood from his body, Braxton dried off and then proceeded to tape up his broken ribs. Sitting on the bed and looking out the window once he was finished, Black let out a sigh. He hoped that Lina was okay and that none of the other wolves would try anything with her. If they did than they would die by his own jaws. The thought made him angry and ready to kill, but closing his eyes and inhaling a deep breath, Black slowly exhaled. Lina was more than capable of taking care of herself. Falling back on the bed, Black decided to just lay on his back. His sides were killing him and the extra pressure was not welcome in the slightest. By the time of day, the triplets would be home in an hour or so along with his always happy father. Braxton was sure that the kids would want to meet the new woman inside of the house, the werewolf knew that Adrian needed time to adjust to the place.
Closing his eyes, Black knew that Adrian would come to get used to the place and them. All it needed as time and he knew that Lina was glad to have her sister in the house. Things would get better over time... Inhaling a deep breath, Black was soon deeply asleep. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

She kept her face schooled so that no crack of pity, or give would break through the expression she currently held. She tried to keep it as blank as she could, knowing she probably looked closer to pissed and stern, then neutral and serious. At this point she didn't much care, and she turned to her mate, waiting for his response. When it finally came, she nodded carefully. The fighting would be primarily finished, given that Black had intervened earlier. Most, if not all of his wolves knew not to cross their alpha. That did not mean, however, that the younger members of the pack would be able to resist the urge to continue the claiming of their females. More fights would break out of course. There would be a need for an alpha to be present again. She would have to come back, undoubtedly, as Black would. Mating season was unfortunately, not just a single day. It was a good few weeks. however, if they made it past the initial rush of the season, then those who had found mates could thicken their own relationship, while those that had lost, or didn't have mates could move out to further reaches of the territory to avoid the constant pull from the females in the pack.
When Black mentioned Adrian, Lina looked to her sister. It must have been quite odd, even if Adrian had known about weres before this moment, how silent it had been. Lina doubted her sister was aware of the telepathic connection she could share with her husband, and the other wolves. Lina gave a sad smile. "I do hope you're okay. If you just..." Lina paused, trying to find the words. Mount? No. Too sexual. Ride was the same. She was having trouble with her own mating instincts. They were quickly burning to jealousy and sexual innuendos. She bit her lip and then blinked, looking hard and fast at Adrian. "Black will take you home. Just hop on." Thankfully, her sister acted on this quickly. That was all the better. Once her mate had left, Adrian in tow on his back, Lina could think with a clearer focus. She wasn't going to see the pack with a mind clouded with jealousy, sex, and rage. She needed to be cool and calculated for this venture. Especially if they were going to see her as something strong. It hit her, that of all the years she'd been with Black, raising the children and such, she'd never been to the Pack more then a handful of times, and never on her own. She never really interacted with the Pack that she had as much right to converse with as their male alpha. For was she not, the female alpha if she was Black's mate?
Lina walked carefully into the Pack scented woods. When she came to a rise overlooking the small assortment of homes in the woods, there was already commotion. This time, it seemed to be females. Lina looked over the wolves, trying to find out the situation before changing forms herself and jumping into the action. She didn't need two females dead. it would mean more competition for the males, even if that was what the females were fighting over. Clearing the fight, after a bit in the tousle herself, the Pack seemed to understand who had come into their neck of the woods, and what would be going down. The women backed off, finding their differences, walking away with a mate apiece. She really didn't understand that entirety of the argument that had let into the fight. She didn't much care, as long as the Pack knew she meant business. The rest of her visit seemed to go rather peaceably. She played with a few of the younger pack members who didn't much know what was going on. Toddler mostly. From mating seasons past. It mad her both miss her children when they had been infants and toddlers, but also, making her appreciate their age and wisdom. She would have to compromise somewhere. She wasn't sure if she truly wanted to have more children. if she did, it would be much, much later. After her children had actually reached full maturity and adulthood.
By the time she left, the sky was darkening. her children would have been home with plenty of time to pester their father, grandfather, and aunt, as they had missed the chance on Adrian earlier this morning before being rushed off to school. Lina smiled. She had blood still upon her skin. As well as dirt. A busted lip had left a dark stain on her chin, and her dress was torn in a few places. She would probably look like hell to Adrian, if her sister did in fact see her before she'd managed to bathe and change. She made her way across the back lawns, seeing the more rambunctious of her children. Trystan and Anoura, of course, her little troublemakers. She dismissed them with hugs and kisses, questioning the whereabouts of their brother, the most quiet of her children. They reported that he was in talking with their aunt, and Lina was surprised to find this so. Perhaps it was the quiet in their souls that sought each other? Or perhaps, because Dimitri had the best manners and the most patience. She smiled vowing to find her third child after she'd bathed.
Going upstairs to the Master, she noted Black's form, still asleep on the bed. She hadn't been gone that long, but then again, he did have ribs fusing their way back together. If he did awake and take in her sight he would just protest. She gave him no chance to argue if he did wake, simply shutting herself into the bathroom and locking the door. She would prefer to clean herself in peace. She was still quite cross with him for leaving her on the first night of mating season. She was surprised she hadn't been fighting for the other males out there. She would have to let Black know she did, just to get under his skin. Her shower and cleanup was brief, and she made her way out of the bathroom, in a simple white dress, done with spaghetti straps. She went to her mate and straddled him gently. that would surely wake him up, at least, part of him, if her touch did not reach his unconscious mind. "Time to get up. I'm certain that I'm hungry, and you have apologies to make, explanations to give, and we need to check on my lovely sister who has taken a liking to our quiet and least troublesome child." She crooned the words into his ear, trying not to laugh as she said them, as her face broke into a smile and laughter threatened to bubble form her chest.

 ⊹⊱⋛ αɗʀɨαɴ ⋚⊰⊹ ║▌│█│║▌║││█║▌│║║█║█║▌│█║▌│║║█║
"I'm more then a number, More then a pretty face, And surely, More then you can handle."
There seemed to be a whole conversation passing between Lina and the wolf that was her husband. Mate. Whatever. Adrian just sat back, confused at the whole thing. This was something beyond her comprehension. Lina finally gave her a glance. it was almost.. pitying? Adrian couldn't tell. She didn't much care. If she was going back to her sister's house, that was all that really mattered. Lina told her to just ride on the back of the wolf. That was her sister's husband. Who was now waiting for her to hop on. Adrian looked at Lina with pure question and confusion on her face. The wolf simply sat there waiting. This was all too much for Adrian to take in. She just did as she was told, seeing as she probably really didn't have a good chance of disobeying and getting away with it. Besides, they were only getting her back to the house and away from the other crazy weres living in the forest. Or maybe, they all just listened to the big black wolf that was under her. She closed her eyes, gripping the wolf's fur gently, not wanting to tug. She wasn't sure how she was supposed to be riding, or if she was in the right posture or anything like that. She'd never done this with Nate.
She didn't have time to think about her pain, as the black wolf took off, bounding quickly through the trees. Instinctively, Adrian drew her legs tighter around the wolf, pulling more tufts of fur into her hands, and leaning low into the musky forest-smelling wolf so that she wouldn't fall off. She was practically desperate. She didn't want to fall off and break something. She wasn't a were. She'd break herself. Whatever strange powers Nate, Lina, and this Braxton had, Adrian didn't posses a single one. There was a lot of growling going on beneath her, and she wondered what it could possibly mean. She bit her own lip, and closed her eyes, trying to stay safely on the wolf's back. Trying to think of it as something exhilarating, but it wasn't. No thoughts like that formulated behind her closed eyelids. There was a massive jump, and getting the better of herself, Adrian gave a squeak. She wasn't a scared schoolgirl! Why was she making such noises?! She bit down harder on her lip, her entire body tense, as she heard the clacking of something under herself. She opened her eyes to see that they were back in the bedrooms he had escaped from earlier.
The wolf lowered himself to the ground, and Adrian removed herself quickly. She didn't want to ride something so frightening again. It just wasn't her cup of tea. At all. As soon as she had removed herself, there was a shake, and then a naked man stood where the wolf had. Adiran flushed and turned away, not wanting to look at the figure of her sister's husband. When he spoke, she dared a look, to find that he had put on clothes. She looked him over. there were similarities in looks. Curve of the chin. Ears. The way he was built. Only Nate wasn't as big. Just under though. They were relatively the same size. Braxton told her that her things were in the corner. She looked, seeing a few of the boxes that held clothes she hadn't touched. or bags that held clothes in what seemed like a mismatched fashion. if she wanted to talk, she just had to call, because he would hear her. She wondered if her sister was the same way. She simply nodded her head. She didn't trust herself with words. They could be traitorous and make her look and seem stupid. She didn't want that. The male left after, bleeding.
Adrian wasn't sure what had made the wounds, but she thought he had had them when he'd first found her in the woods. She couldn't really remember. Instead, she bolted straight for the shower, scrubbing hard at her body. She hadn't bathed since before Nate... She didn't let herself think of it. She scrubbed harder and harder, until her skin burned pink and was tender to the touch. She wouldn't put lotion or anything like that on. No luxuries. She would heal as her skin did, by learning to toughen up. She dressed in jeans and tank. Simple. Nothing extravagant. but unfortunately, all her clothing had come from Nate. All the pieces she still had anyways. She shook out her wet hair, looking to the window, towards the forest. She knew it held wolves now, but below there was a pool, outdoor seating, a lawn. She reamined this way a long time, sitting in the window, her knees bent, her arms crossed on her knees to cushion her head as she lay it to rest upon her arms. She didn't feel like talking yet. No. Nate had... tried to have sex with her. Had tried to force himself on her. That was something she couldn't fathom. he'd been bringing girls home. She'd called him out on it, then all of the sudden he wanted her., it was too unbearable for her.
It was a long time processing, before she heard the sound of a car in the distance. Then a door slamming, as if it had come from somewhere in the house. it was a huge house, that much she had seen from running away form it's back. She closed her eyes. Maybe her sister or her husband had ordered someone to come have a look at her or something. That would just add to the embarrassment. She frowned deeply, coming off her ledge, readying to jump out of the window again if she needed too. Instead, came a knock on the door, followed by some giggles outside. She hadn't called., and none of the giggles sounded like Braxton. Maybe it was his help? She wasn't sure. Surely a house this big needed staffing, if not for more then just to help run it. Adrian tentatively went to the door, thinking to turn away whoever was outside, but she opened the door a crack, to see what was on the other side of the door. What she saw surprised her. Three children, all remarkably similar in features, resembling Braxton and Lina equally. Something about her sister having children nagged at her.
There was a girla nd boy with bright smiles plastered on their faces, and curious, prying eyes. Another boy stood there, obvious brother to the otehr two, but much more quiet and polite in demeanor. He gave a small smile but one that didn't seem pushy. the girl, introduced them all, and bustled into the room. Adrian took them all in, unsure how she was supposed to act. THey had basic questions at first. Who she was. Why she was here. Why Nate wasn't with her. Adrian clammed up at the final. The rambunctious two seemed to change into what she liked to play, What she liked to do. If she was a were too. Adrian told them no, and that seemd to discourage them. After a bit more talking, Trystan, as he was called, took his sister, Anoura, with them to play a game of some sort. Dimitri stayed behind, asking more thoughtful questions, but always tagging on that she didn't have to answer if she didn't want to. This nephew, she gave honest answers as well as she could without being overly emotional. He asked what sort of thigns she liked doing. if she liked to read. If she liked clothes. He seemed to be quiet in his demeanor. She didn't dney him this. They talked for a god long time, until he looked towards the window, announcing his mother was home. Adrian looked to the window, seeing a dirty woman on the field with the other nephew and niece. Adrian looked a bit alarmed, but if Dimitri had sensed his mother, and said it was, she wasn't going to question this matter. Surely, being a were meant they all had better abilities and powers or something right? She smiled, taking his hand, as he offered to take her down to the kitchens for something to eat, hinting something about dinner, and a grandfather. Adrian simply obliged, trying to keep a smile on her face, if not for more then Dimitri himself.

B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Lina was royally pissed so with a sigh of defeat, Black gave up and left with Adrian. He really wasn't sure why Lina was so mad at him. Was it because he left without telling her why? That seemed like the most logical choice. He could think about it some more when he reached the house. As soon as they did get home and he shifted into a man, Black told the young woman that if she wished to talk then to simply call. Braxton doubted that she would take him up on his offer but at least it was out there for her. Walking into his own room and taking a cool shower, the werewolf taped up his broken ribs and fell back onto his bed.
There he fell into a very deep sleep when something weird happened. He was dreaming but through some one else's eyes. He was in the mountains and hunting a herd of deer? The mountain wasn't familar and Black could have sworn he was looking through someone's eyes... Was it but it couldn't be? Was he looking through his brother's eyes? The dream soon disappeared when his lovely but angry mate came back into the room.
The sound of running water registered in his mind but his tired body wasn't ready to wake. However his male and primal instincts started to wake. A strong hand came to rest on her hip as she whispered in his ear, and while she was close Black took in her scnet. She had just showered but she still smelled like the other wolves. This caused a frown to appear and a look of displeasure to appear in his eyes. This was another reason why he didn't want Lina in the woods this time of year. It caused him to be extremely jealous and his eyes narrowed at her. Apologies? Explanations? "I'll give them to you when you go and shower again. You smell to much like...them..." Them meaning the other males.
He didn't like it and he made sure that Lina knew it. The thought caused him to let out a low growl and he flipped their positions. A look of pain registed in his eyes as his broken ribs rubbed together, but Black ignored it as much as possible. Both of his hands were placed by her head as he gave a feral, wild animal look. "I don't want you out there anymore... You only belong to me. I'm not going to share you with anyone." Nuzzling her neck and running his tongue along place he had bit her so many years ago, before biting her rather harshly to get her attention. Lina was his! And he was going to stake his claim on her... More than once.
-After many rounds of hot, passionate sex-
Moving his now heavy and sweaty body off of his mate, Black had a smirk on his face. That felt much, much better! Rolling on his side and propping his head up, Black smiled at his mate befroe pulling ber against him. "I'm sorry if I hurt you... Just the thought of the other wolves coming close to you drove me crazy... Forgive me, love?" Giving her a hopeful smile, Black placed a sweet kiss on her forehead before he slowly made his way out of bed. His body ached from the... Extra vigourus activity but the were didn't mind the dull ache. It was while worth it. "It's almost dinner time or maybe even past it... Either way you want to go and grab something? Than maybe we can come back up here for some more fun?" Wiggling his eyebrows at her, Braxton let out a laugh and pulled on some clothes. Waiting for his mate to do the same, Black took her arm and walked with her downstairs.
Walking into the dining room, everyone was already seated.... Along with Adrian sitting beside Dimitri. Sire Thames smiled gently at the woman, knowing not to mention his other son and if the two troublemakers uttered the name they were given a harsh glare. Giving them all a smile and pulling out a chair for Lina to sit, Black gave an apology for being late and the pretty sorry excuse that they were helping each others wounds. Loading up a rather large plate of food, Black looked over at Lina and asked what she liked to do and if she was enjoying her stay. Smiling softly at her once more, Black finished up his dinner and looked over at Lina. Winking at her and pushing himself away from the table, Braxton said that he was going to bed early. Heading upstairs and and pulling his clothes off, Black laid in the bed waiting for his mate. Oh it would be a long and eventful night for sure! Black just hoped that Lina would come to bed... If she didn't then he'd probably pout but je would understand if she wanted to talk with her sister. It would be natural if she did after all. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

He pushed her away, claiming she would need another, because she smelled too much like other males. Perhaps her own nose had simply adjusted to the smell, and that was why she did not smell them on her? Black's scent was sharp as ever, so she didn't understand why or how she could have missed the scent of other wolves if it was as overwhelming as Black seemed to make it sound. She was irritated at having to wait more time to be with her mate. She wanted and needed him, and yet, every opportunity they had, he was pushing her away. She was about to blatantly refuse when he filled her underneath him. Pain flashed across his face. One of his injuries must have been bothering him. She really didn't care at the at moment. She was so irate with having to wait, it was making her go mad in the head. He didn't understand that she'd been around other wolves today who had hormones amped as her were, only she had found them partners to subdue the rush with. No. She would not let her mate pass her over again.
Black muttered something about Lina not being able to visit the pack anymore. That he would not share her with other wolves, because she only belonged to him. She growled something synonymous to a moan and arched back when Black began nuzzling her bite mark where she had been marked and changed by him. He bit her, and she let a growl with more ferocity as she went to biting his ear and tugging on it, digging her nails into his back. oh no, he was not going to get away just like that. He was going to stay with her until she was finished. his alpha status meant nothing to her. She would have what she desired.
When all was said and done, they had had a nice dinner. The first one where Adrian was present. Sire Thames seemed to take an immediate liking to Lina's sister, and it made Lina happy. Dimitri also, seemed to like Adrian. Lina could not help but laugh silently at the sullen faces of her other two children Anoura and Trystan, given the fact that they had not been chosen to be so interesting to their aunt. Yet, the dinner was rather awkward, as Adrian was quiet. Lina did not want to bring up the topic of what had happened to Adrian, but sooner or later, it would need to be discussed. Lina wondered what Adrian had told her niece and nephew in regards to her suddenly turning up i at the house overnight. Surely, it wasn't the truth, or her children would have been asking questions all over the table and food. Lina just waited patiently, eating dinner in a slower quality, to make it seem more normal for Adrian who ate at a crawling pace compared to the way Lina normally woofed down her food when she was hungry. There was no shame in that though, because whatever speed Lina ate at, she was always graceful and never questioned in her manners.
-A year and a half later-
It was odd, to say the least, to have a complete family in the house. Adrian had stayed, and without question. Lina had found out the horrors of Nate trying to take advantage of her, but she understood why. Her sister hadn't wanted to elaborate or talk on the matter much, and whenever it was brought up, Adrian worked to change the topic quickly. Lina was never able to explain that mating wolves often lost their head. It was, however, clearly evident, that Adrian was suited for Nate, and that she cared for him quite deeply. That knowledge was not paramount to the other things she'd learned, but it was nonetheless quite apparent. There was no problem with that for the elder sister. Lina approved of the match. She was glad that her sister would have found someone that could take her heart and protect her from the terrible things that had happened to her. She only truly hoped that Nate would come back, and that Nate and Adrian would work it out. Adrian denied her love, and said that Nate would have been better off to fall from a cliff every time this was mentioned but today was another normal day, and Lina was not going to think about such things, She had better things to dwell on.
There was work to be down from the female were's plate. It was time for the quarterly banquet and ball of Black's company. Lina was working form home these days, to make sure the arrangements were in order. She was the head of arranging as it was at the mansion. The guests always had a lovely time, and her theme for this banquet, given the time of year was Fall, was structured around the fall colors. The brilliant crimsons and golds. The ballroom was to be done in lavish silks of the color. The food was to be hearty with Hors d'oeuvres showing off the finest seasonal vegetables. She had to arrange the floral arrangement, centerpieces, as well as the transformation of the gardens. She would have to arrange boundaries into teh woods so that the guests were clear of the pack. She also had to arrange clothing. Dresses for herself, Anoura, and Adrian. And tuxes for Black, Dimitri, Trystan, and Sire Thames. The flowers for the garments had to be ordered in specialty given the color scheme, but Lina was excellent at this planning, and everything was going to go her way.
Something continued to nag at her however., it had started earlier this morning. Something that told her that disaster was to strike. Their parties always went wrong somehow. So did corporate events. Always, somehow, there was catastrophe. She didn't want it to happen, but she had a feeling this even would be quite the same. It hadn't even happened yet, and was still in planning, but that didn't mean it would be any more safe from disaster as the rest of the events prior. She sat down looking at the charts and seating arrangements, as well as the diagram of the ballroom and how it would be arranged with tables and food, with enough room for dancing. She heard a car coming onto the drive and stood, wondering who it could be in the middle of the day. Normally Black would arrive later. Adrian came home around the same time as well. This was only one car. She stood, clutching the clipboard with her charts closer to her as she swept from the room. She went to the stairs, but Sire Thames was closing the front door. He looked shocked. Lina swept forward, setting the clipboard aside on the banister's post, and grasping both of Sire Thames' hands, asking him how he was. Who he had seen. She was anxious to know if this would be the cause of her feelings of foreboding from the morning.
When Sire Thames gave her no real answer, Lina backed off. She knew he was probably distraught. She just didn't understand what it was that could have fixed him in such a state. She went back toher work, tryign to distract herself by working overtime. Soon after, her children came home from school. They were busy bustling around, and she sent them to do homework, which, after a few moments of bickering, they went away to do. After that, she lingered, watching the time pass in slow intervals, waiting for someone to come home. She supposed she could have called, but she didn't want Black to worry over anything. Adrian, as far as she knew, didn't have a cell phone. Or maybe, her sister did, but Lina would not call. She bit at her nails gently, sitting her dress on the stairs, watching the door, awaiting Black's arrival home. He would tell her what happened. Someone how she knew, that he would have the answer to her worries and problems, as he normally did. She believe in him. Her children were occupied with their homework. He would come home soon and tell her what terrible things had happened that she had predicted. She knew this. She knew it with all her heart that something was now wrong, but she was not taking action to find out what it was. She would find out soon enough. She just hoped it wasn't too terrible. No deaths. Please, Please no deaths. "You showed me Faith is not Blind I don't need wings to help me fly Miracles happen once in a while When you believe..."

B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ When he had awaken that morning, Braxton just felt off. Like something wasn't in its place. Which wasn't really the case. Throwing his legs off the side of his bed, Black rubbed his eyes and let out a quiet yawn. Still though... something didn't seem very right and it was killing him! Getting up and moving to take a shower, the werewolf started to think about the past year and a half. Adrian had made herself comfortable in his home, and had very much become part of the family. His father had taken an instant liking to his mate's sister, and so had quiet Dimitri. A smile appeared on his face as he thought about it some more. He could tell that Lina was glad the woman was here, and even though Lina didn't tell him what happened... Black had a good idea. Nate had never had to worry about controlling those urges before, seeing as he never truly cared about another woman. With Adrian in the same building and him filled with such strong urges, it was actually a miracle Nate hadn't done it. Stepping out of the shower, he remembered the desperation and sorrow in his brother's voicemail. Now, he could only wonder where his brother was, and what in hell he was doing.
Nate had always been good at hiding and not being caught, but when he had made inquiries and sent Nate's picture no one had seen him. Which led him to believe that Nate was living out as a wolf. It would be easier to go unnoticed for the most part, especially if he stayed hidden in a thick forest or some dark woods. Whatever the case may be, Black still had that sick feeling of something wrong. And he didn't like it a bit. However there was work to be done that day and as soon as he got dressed, Braxton placed a swift but lingering kiss on his mate's lips before leaving. The drive to the company was the same as any other day, and so was walking into the building, and sitting down at his desk. A pile of paperwork laid waiting for him, and the werewolf started reading through all of it. The man only picked his head up when his mind registered Adrian's scent, and a smile was on his face as she took her seat. The woman was a good worker and was very much like her sister in wanting to finish things and see them through. Closing his eyes and leaning back in his seat, Braxton closed his eyes not wanting to think about the paperwork. He had completed half of it already, but that half was enough and all he wanted to do was go home and sleep.
This sickening feeling was just not going away and by the time lunch had rolled around, his sensitive hearing picked up the sounds of a brawl, and of a very angry male. Their breathing was heavy, rugged, and labored with anger. While their footsteps sounded powerful and determined, much like- His eyes widened at that thought. Surely not?! Why after all this time?! Hearing the sound of a body impacting something hard, Braxton rushed out of his office to see his brother standing in front of Adrian. His eyes were golden brown and one could easily sense the strong aura of anger and power coming off of him. Rushing forward to jerk his brother back in case he shifted, Nate shifted around and basically told him to back off. The look in Nate's eyes was the one that Alpha's gave, and Black knew that he had to let the two settle this one. Holding his hand out to stop anyone for going after them, the man ordered someone to help the poor man that had been standing to close to Adrian. Nate was jealous one could easily see that, and it caused him to be dangerously over-protective. "Sir are you sure we shouldn't notify the authorities? I mean, he just kidnapped the woman." The employee was greeted with harsh growl. "The man you wish to have arrested is a share holder in this company, and as you heard for yourself, he has every right to Adrian. Now if you were wise, I would suggest you not bring up my brother and his affairs again. Now I am leaving early, so finish cleaning everything."
Black didn't even bother gathering his things. He needed to get home. Now. The trip back home was painstakingly long, and when he did reach the estate Black wanted to speak to his father first. Slamming the doors open, the were found his father with his mate. "You saw him today, didn't you/" Black let out a harsh, fierce growl that caused Sire Thames to let out his own in warning. "Why didn't you ******** call me! Do you know the damage he has caused? I have to replace close to twenty security guards because of his irrational anger!" Black was soon knocked on his a** with his father glaring down at him. His eyes narrowed and this had to be the first time in years he had seen his father act as Alpha. "If the situation was flipped, you would react the same. Your brother had expected to find Adrian here, and when he learned she was missing of course he was angry. He has been gone for a year, Braxton, and do you not think after all this time, that Nate believed that Adrian had moved on? That she could have found someone else? Someone who was human without emotional baggage? Think about it for a few moments before you come barging in and barking at me like some insolent pup. Next time you won't be as lucky to have a fist in you face." With that said, Sire Thames let out another growl and stormed from the room, making sure to slam any doors that he went through. Black pulled a leg up and rest his arm on his knee, while spitting out the blood that was filling his mouth. It was clear that his father knew much more then he did, and that pissed him off even more. Letting out another low growl before wiping his mouth, Black looked back at his mate with a troubled, confused look.
Looking away and coming to stand on his feet, Black turned his back to her. "I'll be back later. I'm going out for a run." Not giving Lina enough time to say something, Braxton quickly left and as soon as he was back outside, the man sifted into a wolf and took off. He needed to clear his mind and he needed to be left alone while he thought. Stopping at the Lake and sitting at the edge, the werewolf stared out over the water. Sitting there by himself was quiet lonely, especially when one was used to having someone around all the time. With a sigh, he laid down and rested his head on his paws. Whatever the case was, Black just prayed that Adrian was okay. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

She had patience, oh yes, just as any mother did, but this worry was not something she wanted to continue with. She smoothed out a wrinkle that was non existent in the skirts of her simple dress as she sat on the steps, looking at the door, waiting for it to open and admit Black. She didn't know what to expect, but she hope it would clear her sense of dread. When the doors boomed open and Black walked in, Lina paled. He was angry. More then angry. he was livid about something that she didn't understand. Sire Thames had come into the room, and Black charged towards him, rage still pouring off him. Lina watched with shock, still pale with fear. She thought she heard footsteps on the upper landing, but did not dare turn around and miss what was about to take place before her. That was when Black spoke."You saw him today, didn't you? Why didn't you ******** call me! Do you know the damage he has caused? I have to replace close to twenty security guards because of his irrational anger!" Lina's heart stopped in that moment, as she let her gaze freeze on the two men.
The "him" they were talking about could only be one person. Nate. Ice cold dread replaced the veins that normally carried blood through Lina's body. She felt sick, and dizzy. She even swayed a bit on the spot, catching herself on the post that ended the stair rail. She blinked, and found Black knocked on his a**, bleeding from a fat lip. She gave a muffled shriek, horrified at this act of violence. She'd never seen Sire Thames act this way. When the older man responded, Lina was shell shocked, but still listened to every word he said. He came back for Adrian. She looked to Sire Thames in desperation. She was still deathly white, but she watched as Sire Thames stormed off, tears starting to work their way down her cheeks. "Why.. didn't you tell me?" She said it breathlessly after him, but knew the old man would hear it. It was all she could say. She couldn't and wouldn't say anything to him about Black. Instead, she looked to her mate, who was still working his way up form the floor. He spat out blood on the tile, and she heard a muffled squeak form behind her. Her children had seen this occurrence. Violence was not permitted in this house! Lina sank back to the sitars, still clutching desperately to the rail post. She looked desperately to Black, her eyes still watering. There was something in his glance that looked like confusion, but she felt sick. Her world was spinning as if she had been the one to take Sire Thames' punch.
Black turned then, announcing that he was going out for a run. She tried to call out to him, reaching for him, but he was gone. She let out a sob, and curled tighter to herself upon the stairs. She heard a set of footsteps on the stairs and then felt soft hands on her back. Two more pairs followed, but not in the desperation this first set had. She looked up to find her daughter, a spitting image of her father, just as teary eyes and upset as Lina herself was. Anoura opened her arms, and Lina followed the gesture, taking her daughter into her arms and sobbing carefully on her shoulder. She tried to compose herself, but it took a few more moments, and the patting of her two boys before she calmed down enough. At least she had been silent while her daughter heaved sobs at her in earnest. Lina looked up, seeing the distraught looks on Trystan and Dimitri's faces, and she comforted them too, pulling them into her embrace. She rubbed Anoura's face with her fingertips gently, and took them all back up the stairs. "Pack an overnight bag quickly. Just a change of clothes. We're leaving. Just you three and me. Let's go." When they offered their protest Lina shook her head. She would not hear any of it. "Now. We need to go. I don't want to hear another word. let's go." Anoura had already gone. Dimitri followed, and of course, most reluctantly Trystan finally left to pack his bag.
Lina went to go situate her own and ran her hands through her hair. This was not how she had anted her day to go. This was no what she needed. She pulled her hair up into a pony tail at the top of her head, touched her necklace gently, tempted to leave it here as well. She didn't. that would be too cruel. She needed her own space, and by hell if she was going to leave her children here. She closed her eyes, tossed an overnight bag together, and made sure she had her purse and wallet. She had credit cards inside. that was all she needed. She could handle the rest later. She opened a drawer, taking a set of keys for an SUV from it, and put them in her purse. There was a soft knock on her door, and she allowed entrance to her daughter, telling her to leave the door open so her boys would find their way in. Once Lina had finished her bag, she checked Anoura's instructing all cell phones and electronics to be left behind. When her two boys entered, the message was relayed, and once more, with protest and reluctance, she finally got what she had asked for. When all was done, Lina left her own phone on the nightstand, and a note for her mate. He hand shook badly, so her normally pristine cursive was shaky.
Black & Sire Thames I can not fathom this at the moment. Violence is not allowed in our house, no matter the circumstances. The triplets witnessed all of this. It is not the kind of environment for them. This was all agreed upon before they were born. I leave it to both of you to sort out this matter. The triplets and I are going on an overnight. We won't have phones. We'll see you both tomorrow evening. Don't follow us. I am perfectly capable of taking care of my children and making sure they are safe and well behaved. I hope that things are resolved when we return.
Lina
She folded the not and left it on the nightstand, next to her phone, as well as the triplet's phones. She instructed them all to grab their bags and head for the SUV. They all obliged, and once they were all out of the house, situated in the car, and buckled up, Lina pulled out of the driveway and left the mansion. She didn't know yet where they were going, but she was getting away form the mansion for the time. She would make sure her children knew that it wasn't their fault, and that what had happened was not okay. She didn't know how she would explain Adrian, because she didn't know anything besides that Adrian hadn't come home, and Nate was probably with her. She hope and prayed nothing bad was happening, or had happened to her sister. There would be hell to pay if something was truly wrong, but Lina was going to be optimistic for the time being. She was goign to have peace and fun on this getaway with her children.

B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ In all honesty, he hadn't expected his father to lash out and attack him, but Black knew that he shouldn't have ran up to him and demanded answers. Sire Thames wasn't just an employee he could scare and order around. He was the man who sired him and a man who may be ancient but could still pack a mean punch. The worse part about all of it was the fact his children witnessed the violence. When they were born he had promised Lina that no violence would be allowed inside the mansion, but he was so angry yesterday and his father was probably recovering from shock. Letting out a low growl of annoyance, Black let out another sigh and curled up tighter into a ball. Lina had to be furious with him and the triplets were probably confused. Anoura was probably scared witless while the boys were trying to piece two and two together. It was normal for werewolves to fight and his family knew that, but all fighting was in the woods or further out on the property. And that wasn't the only thoughts that plagued his mind. His worry over Adrian was still raw, and Braxton would admit that he was shocked to see his brother as well. Last time they had met, Nate was being submissive but remained defensive in case someone came close to the woman. However the look his brother had in his eyes was anything BUT submissive.
It was wild, feral, and possessive. Nate had glared at him through narrowed eyes that were powerful and demanding. The strong look that all Alphas possessed. Something had changed about his brother, and Braxton couldn't figure out what had changed him. One of the reason had to be Adrian but... Could it possibly be that Nate finally realized that he loved the woman? Sighing and coming to stand up, the wolf looked back at the house. He had to apologize to everyone, especially the children. Running back home, the man thought it odd that everything was quiet. Even the workers were gone. His nails clicked on the tile floor as he walked through the house. Black supposed he could shift back, but he didn't want to be stark naked in front of the kids. Even if they did see him like that from time to time. Walking up to the nursery and peeking his head in, the triplets wasn't there playing like they usually were. "They're not here. They left shortly after you ran out." Braxton quickly turned to see his father with a regretful expression. The man took a step closer and placed a hand on the furry head. "Lina left a note for you and I'm sorry for losing my temper. Goodnight." The wolf's ear laid back as his father left to go to bed.
His family left him? A low whine left him and his tail quickly dropped and curled between his legs. Black hadn't meant for Lina to leave! Letting out another whine, the wolf slowly made his way into the master bedroom. Shutting the door close with a kick of his back foot, the black creature crawled up into the bed. Circling and making a nest in the center of the large bed, Braxton curled tightly and laid his head down on his paws. Was she coming home soon or was she never coming back? Looking over at his nightstand, he saw all the cellphones. His father had said she didn't want to be followed and that she would be coming back tomorrow evening, but what if she really didn't? What if she just stayed gone and never came back home. His thoughts were restless but Braxton was mentally exhausted. He needed to sleep, but how did one sleep when one was used to sharing a bed? Even though his hulking furry frame took up the bed, it still didn't feel right. He wanted the warmth that his mate's body offered him. He didn't have that right now, so turning and grabbing Lina's pillow, Black rested his head on that. Her scent strongly clung to the thing and it helped bring some comfort but not a lot.
Was this how Nate felt when he was gone? Did he try to remember Adrian's scent every day. or did he try to ignore it and move on? Of course Braxton wouldn't move on, seeing as he loved his family dearly. Letting out another sigh, the wolf closed his eyes and forced himself to go to sleep. It wasn't like he had much of an option, seeing as he if he did chase Lina down then she was sure to kill him. She was right though... The kids would be safe with her, and Lina could keep the well protected. It was just the thought of them not being close to him that bothered him the most. Whining as his tail curled around his back feet, Braxton knew that he had to go to sleep. It would be hard to do, but it he wanted to be up and ready for when Lina came back home... So letting out one last whine, Black forced himself to sleep with Lina's pillow tucked beneath his head. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

The mother were, with her children in the car had no where she knew to go. So, she drove towards the coast. It was the only place that she could think of that would offer a fun place for her children, and also a place for her own relaxation. It was a few hours away, and so, as the sun went down, and her children increased in restlessness, Lina drove, keeping the radio on to whatever her children wanted so that they would be amused. After that ended, she flipped on the SUV's DVD player and let the triplets decide what they wanted to watch. Surprisingly, it wasn't gore and was a more serious flick. It was good for Lina, who concentrated on getting safely to the coast. Driving down the freeway after it was dark, while she was tired and the car was silent was difficult. She'd done it before, of course, but that didn't make it any easier. She was getting tired, so her focus now was finding a hotel or resort with a pool. A nice inn or bed and breakfast would probably be the best. In the end, she settled on an Inn that rooms that each had their own theme. She chose the Jungle Room for it's double king beds, that way her children wouldn't fight.
It was a miracle she'd gotten a reservation at all, but she was fortunate in this, where she had not been in finding out the information earlier. Waking up three frowning werewolves was not as easy as it had been when they were younger, but aside form the grumpy faces, everyone was inside and in bed within a few moments. Lina and Anoura shared one bed, and the boys shared the other. In the morning, there was time to wonder over the layout of the room and it's amenities. That included the waterfall in the room. After that, it was the choice of decoration and bed linens. Once the marvel from the room was over, it was straight to the coast. Lina smiled at this, taking her children out to the beach, and watching them frolic in the sands. There was a pier there as well, giving some ride choices, and some games that could be played. She knew that these moments were few, but she decided not to worry about what time it was, or when they had to be back. it was irresponsible yes, because if they were not home in time Black would worry quite a bit, but she felt that a little worry on his part would not be too much to ask of him, considering the outcome of events lately.
The day was played away, and it was decided that they would not return home that night as she had explained to Black. They would have to return in the morning. Returning to the inn, Lina found that once again, it was quite full. their room had been booked quickly, and she would need another. There was only a few available, and only one that had the two king beds she would need didn't have lots of cool features and amenities like the last room. However, the decor in the Old Mill room was charming enough. her children, with their prizes from the day; rocks, a few stuffed animals, and some scratches and bruises, they all settled down for bed once more. Lina didn't even call Black. They could argue about that later. She was more concerned with keeping her kids occupied with happy thoughts of the day rather then hear them ask where their Aunt was, or why their father and grandfather had been fighting. No. She needed to keep their thoughts on falling into the waves, riding roller coasters, eating junk food that they never got to eat, and staying in another room that had decor to beat any other hotel they'd ever been.
The next morning, they rose early, and headed back to the mansion. She expected an angry mate, but her children were happy and occupied. The hours going home were the ones that weighed heavily upon Lina. She would have to explain the extra overnight. She would have to explain why she hadn't called. She didn't want to be chastised about it. She had done what was best for herself and her children. When she pulled into the drive, and led her children up to the front door, she simply moved slowly. She was in no rush. she expected her mate on the other side of the door, waiting, fuming. She didn't know where Sire Thames would be. She simply moved inside, heading for the bedroom.S he didn't want to hear anything or respond to anyone. She talked animatedly with her children up the stairs, ushering them to their room, before she turned and let anything sink in. She hoped it wasn't a barrage of questions and comments of what she should have done. That would have set her off. She just closed her eyes, inhaled, and readied herself for the words that would come at her."You showed me Faith is not Blind I don't need wings to help me fly Miracles happen once in a while When you believe..."

B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ The wolf had woken late in the afternoon, and when he was fully awake and had shaken himself awake, Black checked the clock. He had to get ready! Lina would be home tonight! Jumping in the shower and getting cleaned up, Braxton dressed in a nice button up shirt and dark blue jeans. Why he even cleaned the bedroom until it was sparkling clean. Rolling up his sleeves and basically running down the stairs, the werewolf checked the time once more before he waited on the door step. Why wasn't she home yet? Well she had said something about the evening, and it was completely dark yet... Yet another hour passed and then another soon passed as well. Soon it was midnight and Black realized that they weren't coming home. He opened his mouth to speak, but no words came. Letting out a sigh, the man moved back into his bedroom and shut the door quietly behind him. He couldn't understand why Lina didn't come home with their children. Had she really upset her that bad? Running his fingers through his hair, Black fell back onto the bed and just decided to fall asleep.
When morning time had come, Braxton's eyes twitched from an annoying pecking sound. Letting out a growl and finally sitting up, the Alpha wolf looked over to see one of his pack members standing out on the balcony. What the hell now? Opening the doors and narrowing his eyes in anger, the other man cowed back and offered an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry for waking you up so early, but their has been an incident. We believe another pack has come in during the night. The others are upset and some wolves are actually dead." This news caused him to wake up rather quickly and before the other man could even say something, the Alpha quickly shifted into were form and ran into the woods. His thoughts were already troubled enough and the news of an attack just made things worse. Why after all this time? They had been at peace with the others packs for over twelve years now! Growling and pushing himself to run faster, Black skidded to a stop. Sure enough some of the small cabins were destroyed and the others were digging some graves to bury the dead. Three dead males and two females. Growling and gaining the attention of the pack, Black started to order tight guard and defensive positions. Quickly shifting back into a human man, Black narrowed his gaze at each of the wolves in front of him. "If our territory is taken then we must fight harder! We have kept these lands for over one thousand years and we shall not lose them! Everyone will have three hour shifts! Shift twenty minutes before your shifts end! Eat and sleep well before your shift!"
Letting out a low growl, Black was answered with howls and nods of their heads. Shifting back into a were, Black started his run back home. What if Lina had been attacked? Was that way she hadn't come home yet? Fear gripped at him and the thought of his children being harmed caused his chest to clench tightly. It seemed to be early in the afternoon by the way the sun sat in the sky, and Black heard a car pull up. His ears twitched and he came busting through the trees and bushes. Pushing through the yards and busting into the doors, the werewolf panted heavily as he moved inside of the house. hearing footsteps upstairs, Black quickly jumped up to the second story and found Lina leaving the nursery. The werewolf ran towards her as he shifted and Black quickly pulled her to him. She was safe. She was safe... Blowing out a sigh of relief, the man tightened his embrace. "I was so worried. When you hadn't come home, I suspected the worse." Pulling away from her and placing a kiss to her forehead, Black looked over to the cracked door and smiled at the triplets. "Everything is alright guys. I'll be in there in a moment." Turning his gaze back to Lina, Black gave her a sad smile before he placed another kiss to her forehead. "I need to talk to you in private. Come with me." Taking her hand, Black pulled her into their bedroom and shut the door.
"There has been an incident with the pack. They were attacked sometime during the late night or early morning. We lost five wolves in the process..." Moving to sit on the bed, Braxton rubbed his face and looked back at his mate. He went on to explaining what they were doing in their defense, and told Lina that the pack had been in peace for a long period of time. "After all this time, I do not know why the another pack would try to claim our lands, but we must be prepared for another war. The children must stay close to the house and one of us has to be with them at all times." Blowing out another sigh and reaching out for her hand, Black gave her another sad smile. She would want to talk about the other day, she had to be livid with him and his father. "I talked to dad and we talked it out. We are sorry for losing our tempers and he regrets not saying anything to you. He is off hunting for Nate and Adrian at the moment. He had left an hour ago. We promise we won't fight like that anymore." They were sorry for their actions and the two men regretted acting that way. Blowing out a sigh and rubbing his eyes, the man realized he was naked. Moving to grab some pants, the werewolf looked back over at his mate. He was worried about her and she would understand that. "I am sorry for what happened, my love. I regret my actions and I shouldn't have left, but I was so angry and... Well that doesn't matter at the current moment. We have much more pressing matters with the pack. If something should happen and we are taken, you must be ready to take the triplets off the estate as fast as possible."
Walking back to her and pulling her into another tight embrace, Black closed his eyes as he inhaled her scent. She and the children were safe and to him, that was probably the greatest feeling he had ever felt in his life. Pulling away from her and smiling, Black kissed her lips softly and tenderly. "I have to go and talk to the triplets about what happened. Want to come with me?" Black waited for her answer and when she answered, Black smiled and walked back into the nursery. Walking into the room and sitting down in the floor, the man hugged his pride and joy in a tight hug. A gentle smile traced his lips as his daughter sat comfortably in his lap. There he was bombarded with a onslaught of questions and Braxton went to explaining each of them, one at a time. He explained about the fight and that Adrian was now with Nate. "Your aunt is safe with him and I am sure she will come back to visit as soon as she can. Maybe your uncle will be with her, and that way you can meet him. But don't get your hopes up to high, okay?" Smiling gently at the kids, he went to ask about their trip and let out a gentle laugh as they talked animatedly about it. Everything felt normal now. He was at peace now that his family was home, and even though a war could possibly break out... Black could push that thought away for the moment. Everything felt right at the moment and he wasn't ready to ruin his moment of peace. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

In fact, it didn't appear that Black was in the house at all. perhaps he was quite enraged at her late appearance. At this point, it was better not to see if him if she was going to receive a lecture. If he did not care about her presence as much as he had in the past, then she would no longer be bothered with trying to present herself to him. Especially if they were cross. She'd rather handler her own affairs in an almost insufferable silence, then the be purposefully ignored by her mate. She left the nursery, allowing her children their electronics, so that they would be able to amuse themselves while Lina herself would throw her passion into the work she had left incomplete before her departure. though her heart was heavy with hurt, she would not worry over things that she could not change. if her mate wanted to be absent, then so be it. She would allow him his freedom as long as he did not come asking for something in return later. She made her strides longer so that she moved at a faster pace, and kept the movement disguised rather then flat out running and making an obvious scene in her home.
Instead of making it to her room, an iron hold took her from behind. Her mate smothered her in his hold, keeping her close, and quite tightly so. He spoke quickly, placing a kiss to her forehead. He had been worried when she hadn't been back at the assigned time she had left for him. Instead of creating more panic, he poked his head into the converted nursery, alerting his children that all was well, and that he'd answer all their questions in a moment. Then he was focused once more on Lina. He kissed her forehead gently, and told her that there was something they needed to discuss privately. She nodded Lina agreement, and followed, as Black led her away form the nursery and into their shared bedroom. Carefully, Lina sat upon the bed, crossing her arms and legs over one another. There was something wrong with the pack. They had lost five wolves. Lina straightened, her eyes looking to Black. This was not a drill. This was real. Someone had attacked, and they had lost five members of their pack. That was a heavy loss. From there, Black went over the defensive strategy, and that they had previously been in peace for quite a time. They needed to prepare for war now. the children would have to stay close. Lina closed her eyes processing all this information into neat categories on her mental panic scale.
Black switched topics. He was apologizing for the previous days. The fight between him and his father. How they had both come to agreement, and were both quite sorry. Sire Thames was out looking for Nate and Adrian, while Black continued his own version of an apology, but quickly reverted back to issues with the pack. She hadn't wanted to discuss their troubles in the first place, once she had learned about the pack, and now he was refusing to let her have a word really. She gave a sigh, stood, and began pacing. Her boots clipped the floor with gentle clicks. She would have to run with the children? No. What about the pack's children? Where would they go? Black stood and embraced her gently. She shook her head. This wasn't good enough. "I will not run like an insolent dog with tail between my legs. What about the pack's children? They are just as crucial for survival as our own children are. They will need safe passage as well, if this is going to become a war. I will to leave this pack to die and run with children. I will stay and fight, as your mate. Our children will nee safety and protection. We are the pack. The pack's children need safety. They will all go together, and all those able will rally to fight this enemy. You can not have it any other way." She watched Black with harsh eyes. He could not weasel her out of this. She would stay and fight tooth and nail to the end.
When Black explained that he needed dot tell the children what had happened, she waved him off in simple dismissal. He had asked if she wanted to join him, but that was not the case at the moment. She had to think through this obstacle. She was far too concerned with the state of things as they were. She would not leave this pack to die. Nor it's children. She would fight with them,. They were just as much her people to protect as they were Black's. When the dark haired female had managed to calm herself enough, she tiptoed to her children's room. Their father was explaining that their aunt was safe and would be returning soon, possibly bringing their uncle in tail with her for them to meet. the triplets seemed excited at this idea, and Lina gave a small smile. in the midst of a storm, there could still be joy found even in the darkest situations. Black began asking about the trip, and the children answered with animate sounds and expressions. Lina herself smiled, watching from the hallway outside the door with a smile. things were right, as they were mean to be. She just hoped this peace would last much longer then it seemed it would.

B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ They were home and they were safe. That was ALL that mattered to the Alpha Wolf right now. Saying hello to his children, Black pulled Lina into their bedroom and sat down while he went into explaining what had happened while she was away. She looked just as hurt and shocked as he did when he was told this morning. Then he went on to explain what he was doing to ensure the packs safety, and told Lina if they should take over the land that she needed to take the children and run. Lina didn't like that answer very much. Not at all really. Closing his eyes and pinching the bridge of his nose while she went on a rampage, Black looked up at her with a serious expression. Dominance shone in his eyes as he looked at her. "The elderly and the children have already been moved. They are at a safe location that I only know about, and I will keep it that way. They will not be harmed because only the past Alphas of this pack know this hidden location." Coming to stand on his feet, Black walked over to his wife and looked down at her. She was so lovely and she held the biggest part of him, even if she knew that or not. Black would not let her stay and fight. Lina had to leave to protect their children. There would be wolves after them to try and kill them.
"Lina not once in our marriage have I commanded you as not only your husband, but as your Alpha as well. I've given you free reign because what makes you happy, makes me happy as well, but I will not relent on this matter." Cupping her cheek and running his thumb across her smooth skin, Black looked in her eyes. "You will not stay here if the house is taken. You will take the children and get out of here. They need their mother to protect them, and if something should happen to me... They will have you. I will not change my mind Lina and if you disobey me, I will promise you that I will be angry and hurt as well." Walking away from her, the Alpha wolf walkedover to the door and announced that he was going to check on the triplets. Lina wasn't going with him which caused him to frown but he nodded his head in understanding. Lina wished to be alone in order for her to think. She was angry that much he knew for sure, but he was serious about what he said earlier. Black did not want her here if they were overpowered. His family would be the first ones to be raped and tortured. He wouldn't allow that.
Walking into the room and being tackled with hugs, Braxton let out and laugh and sat down in the floor as the triplets climbed all over him. Anoura sat in his lap prettily while his two boys hung from his back. Letting out another laugh, the man played with his children, and he listened while they told him about their trip. He was glad that Lina kept them occupied and happy. "Daddy, next time can we all go together? That way we can ride all the scary rides and you will be there to protect us?" Black nodded his head as he kissed the top of his daughter's head, promising that he would do that very thing. Feeling his mate's presence, the family looked back at her with a smile. Tyrstan quickly ran over to his mother pulling her into the room, telling her that Black said they could all go together next time. Smiling at his wife and giving her a playful wink, Braxton looked back at his children and played with them a bit longer. Getting up and telling them he'd be back later, Black smiled at them and placed a kiss to each other their heads. shutting the door behind him as he left, Black placed a kiss to Lina's forehead and smiled gently at her.
"My shift is coming up. I'll be back in three hours and we can talk more if you want. I'll know you want to be put on watch, which I will find you a place when I come back." Giving her another kiss, Black walked back outside (making sure to change out of his pants) and shifted back into a werewolf. It would be a long night but it would worth it if it meant the safety of not only his pack, but his family as well. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

She could see Black's stress now. This was a most terrible chain of events. First, Nate had stolen Adrian. Then, Black and his father had gotten into it with the children watching. Now, the pack was under attack, and he was forcing her away again. No. She was not going to accept this. She was not a coward. Her gender had nothing to do with this either. She knew how to fight. She'd seen the females from the pack. She'd even worked with some of them on her fighting skills, not to mention her mate had taught her bits there and there. She was still fuming! She was upset about so any things, the capacity of her heart to hold them all was about to burst. No one would destroy this pack, or her family. No one. She would take on this enemy bared handed if she had to! That was a guaranteed promise! She didn't want to run and hid. This was as much as her fight as it was Black's! Why should she get to be safe when he was out there fight? When there were pack members out there fighting? She knew deep down, it wasn't right.
When Black spoke again, she was rather surprised to see dominance in his face. He never looked at her like that. It simply wasn't done. When he came to stand in front of her, she watched him, defiantly at first, but that was melting away. She wasn't sure what this was. She didn't much like it. She felt small. Weak. Insignificant. It wasn't something in her heart. She knew this was wrong. Black was never like this with her. He had never forced her down before. This was all wrong. She couldn't even look him in the face. Something inside her was telling her to look down, and so she did. her wolf cowered. This was what it must have felt like for the pack to stand in Black's presence when he was angry. She couldn't believe that this was happening. Her anger was gone, filled with something sad instead. When Black spoke, her thoughts were confirmed. He was commanding her. As an alpha. Giving her a Command. She could not refuse it. She could not deny it. It was there, plain as she was standing there beside him. He gently took her cheek, and looked into her eyes, which were trying hard to avoid his own, but she relented and looked into his.
The command was there. If the house was taken, she would flee, with her children to the designated location. Black would stay and fight. The triplets would need her if something happened to her. If she disobeyed, he would be angry and hurt. Did he realize she couldn't? That her personality and her true thoughts had made her want to rise and challenge him, but once he'd flipped into the mode of alpha with her, that she could no longer contest him? She closed her eyes, refusing to look at him any longer. It was then he took his leave for the nursery. She couldn't go with him at that point. She needed to calm herself down, and figure out this sensation within her. She had not liked being told that she was not allowed to fight. She could have handled that, but when the alpha came out to play with her, she had run. She had fled the scene with no further questions. She didn't like that sensation. The ability to choose was gone. She sat on the bed for a moment, remembering that feeling, closing her eyes on the rest of the word so she could feel that feeling again, and know what it felt like. She didn't like it. Not one bit. She shook her head, opening her eyes, and headed for the nursery. She had children. She wasn't allowed to sulk about.
She entered to her children talking about their trip. the rides they rode. The junk food Lina had allowed her normally healthy children to eat. Anoura was in Black's lap, while Dimitri and Trystan each hung from a shoulder. The scene was lovely. And when Anoura asked if her father would join them next time to ride the scary rides with them, and protect them, he kissed his daughters head and confirmed the wish. Trystan came over to her then, pulling her into the room. She smiled softly, putting on a happy face for her children, even though she was still confused and distraught with the information that was passing through her mind. They talked about a family visit next time they decided to go and Lina nodded her head, smirking at all of her children. They talked and played for a few more moments, and then Black dismissed himself and Lina followed. She was still thinking. It would do hr no good to remain with her children at this point. They were happy occupying themselves. Once they were safely outside, Black informed her that he needed to go on his watch shift. She nodded, unable to find argument in something so simple. He told her that he'd find a place for her, and she nodded carefully. She let hi go then, watching as he went outside. She ran after him, as he was taking off his pants, unable to help herself. She crashed into him before he could shift and hugged him tightly, closing her eyes, relishing his scent and his form against her. "Be safe... please be safe.." She kissed his forehead then, and took his pants, watching him shift. She nodded, giving him a final stroke before he took off into the night. She would wait up for him, so that she could lay against him in the night. She wouldn't rest until he returned. That's simply how it would go down.

B ʀᴀxᴛᴏɴ “Bʟᴀᴄᴋ” Tʜᴀᴍᴇs▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ It wasn't like Black wanted to do this to her, but acting as Alpha and putting her in her place meant her and the triplets would be safe. The tall Were didn't like how Lina tried to acert her gaze, and a frown appeared on his lips. It was hard to look at him when he became dominant like this, and only the older wolves had mastered looking at him. However, Black knew that it was still hard for them as well. "I know you must be mad that I am acting this way, but I'm doing what must be done. If I should die the triplets will need you. I can't leave them all alone. They need their mother." Skimming his thumb across her cheek, Black leaned in and pressed a kiss to her forehead. "You know that you are the biggest pat of me that I will never be willing to lose." Smiling at her, the man walked out of the room to spend some time with his children. He had spent close to an hour with them and the Alpha was glad that his mate decided to join them. It showed that she wasn't too pissed with him after all...
Looking up at the clock and bidding the triplets a goodnight, he and Lina exited the room, and Black held her close. It was his turn to play watch out, and the man smiled down at her. "You will never know how important you and our children are to me. You four are my main priority and I will do whatever to make it safe for you." Kissing her softly, Braxton turned to leave and was pulling his pants off when Lina ran out and tackled him with a hug. Closing his eyes, the male sigh as he enjoyed her warm body close to his. This was something that he enjoyed the most. Her arms around him. Letting out a sigh, the werewolf kissed her one last time before shifting. The black wolf circled his mate and a gave a swift lick to her hand before bolting off through the woods. Black wasn't sure if another attack would happen so soon, but the Alpha wasn't about to let the pack's defense slip. The pack would remain strong and always be on guard.
Slowing down as he padded up to his look out spot, Black dismissed the tired wolf and sat quietly at his perch. It was a rocky hill that overlooked the mountain valley. You could see the moon glisten on the lake as the cool mountain breeze moved across your face. Blowing out a sigh, Black kept his golden eyes focused and his ears alert. So far the only thing he noticed was a fish jumping up to catch its dinner, or some deer lazily grazing in the valley. An owl could be heard along with the crickets playing their night song. It all made Black think about Lina and their nights at their weeping willow. Since having the triplets, the couple hadn't been able to do it, but maybe after all this mess was finished they could? Gods knew that they needed a little break. As would any parent of three.
When another wolf came to relieve him, Black made an extra round before going back home. He wanted to make sure everyone was awake and ready to attack if the need came, and he had to make sure that everyone was safe. It was his duty as Alpha after all. Running back home, Black easily jumped up onto the balcony of the master suite, and he shifted back before walking into the rather spacious room. Stretching his aching arms, Black let out a low groan as his shoulders popped. God he was getting old, and that was a terrible feeling. He would be turning a ripe age of four hundred soon, and this made the werewolf let out a low growl. Though the Thames lineage aged very well, it was still the large number that bothered him. Crawling into bed and pulling Lina against him, the Alpha placed a kiss to her shoulder before sighing once more. "It seems like every year my birthday comes around, the more depressed I become. Then again, I may be senile with my old age... Maybe may birthday isn't as soon as I thought and I won't be turning another year older?" Chuckling against her neck, Black trued to remain happy. Even though the pack was on attack and on high defense, Black knew that if he became too tensed or stressed he'd end up snapping. He didn't want to take his anger out on his family seeing as they didn't deserve that. Letting out a sleepy sigh, Black snuggled closer to his mate and fell asleep. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴇ ᴀʟᴘʜᴀ ᴍᴀʟᴇ

≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ ≎≎≎≎≎≎≎≎ When Black kissed her, Lina gave a sad smile. She knew it was for the best of the pack that he go to protect them. That's why he was going. That's why he had to go do his rounds and his watch. This was his pack. She wasn't truly angry at him for being protective as he was. She was not truly angry at him for pulling his rank. She had expected it. He was an alpha, protecting people was what he did. Lina was no coward, and Black knew that. If he had been insistent on her going, it was for her own benefit, and because he cared about her. Like he had said, if he were wounded or something happened to him, the children would need a mother. She had despised the thought. Black was her happiness. He was the reason she was free from so many things. He was the father to her children. He was her mate. Her partner. Her husband. All things that mattered in her world, had stemmed from Black. If he wasn't there to exist in her world, then she wasn't sure how she would manage. Probably only halfheartedly, and only because she had children to tend to. If she didn't have the triplets and something happened to Black, she would travel to death right behind him.
As he licked her hand, she smiled, giving his head a final stroke before he took off, racing into the woods. She took his pants and folded them gently over her arm, heading back into the house. From there, she took on her normal role and mother and woman of the house, making sure her children were fed. That they bathed, got into clean clothes, and found themselves under covers at the same time, and all agreed upon the book she would read that evening. Tonight, it was a selection from the Fairy Tales of Hans Christian Anderson. The wonderful storied that offered happy endings. Despite her boys dislike for princesses, as any boy their age would protest, tonight was Peter Pan. Of course, it was a story they'd seen many times over in film, even in a play and a musical. they'd heard the story plenty of times, but perhaps it was their intelligence of a battle that took their father away from story time and the house that had made them choose such a tale. Lina, for one, was grateful for the promise of her children never growing up and staying young forever. That would be beneficial to her, in some ways. Tonight, it would mean that they did not have to grow up and face the injustices of the world, and see a war that would mark the pack for a potentially lengthy bit of time. Lina sent a silent prayer that her children would not have to grow up with this war. Whether it would ever be answered, she would never know, but the gods, it seemed, would miss that particular prayer.
When her children had at last fallen asleep, bellies full, groomed, and safe, Lina left the converted nursery and chose her own room to find solace in. She smiled, placing Black's pants in a laundry basket in their closet. She showered, and changed into a white nightgown. It was light, and wispy, but would cover everything. Once that was done, she brushed out her hair, glad that her children were asleep. It would give her time to think about the pack, and the threat that this foreign pack was imposing. She didn't have enough information. Which pack was invading? Why were they invading? Was there any way to buy time? Was there any way to make a truce? Lina put her hand sot her temples frustrated with her lack of information. She wasn't a tactical battle hand. She was a mother of three that preferred peace to violence. She let off a soft growl as she stepped out onto the balcony off of the bedroom. She stepped up, onto the railing that enclosed the space and looked out into the forest. the light breeze ruffled her hair and her gown as she looked out into the vast landscape behind the mansion. When would she and Black have a moment alone again when they weren't parents or pack leaders or company owners? It seemed like there was no time anymore.
Eventually, Lina sat upon the railing, not wanting to continue standing, lest something take her by surprise, or one of her children come along, see her standing on the rail, and think they too, could get away with it. She closed her eyes and took in a scent of air before smiling softly. She wasn't sure how long she'd been outside waiting, but she knew what her mate smelled like when he came home. When her mate appeared in the backyard, Lina backed into the bedroom and headed for the bed. Black jumped to the balcony and shifted on his way inside. Hearing pops from stretching, Lina looked to Black with a smile. Oh, if she wore her tail it would thump eagerly. She smiled, as she was pulled to his large form, and she kissed him many times over. This was her mate, through thick and thin. When Black mentioned his birthday, she smiled up at him, tracing her fingers tenderly against his cheek. She smiled at him, nuzzling her head to his chest. "My love, you stopped aging at thirty. I'm not sure why you're so worried about birthdays. I don't think you can get older. I think you're going to stay permanently just as you are. Besides the kids are getting old enough that we don't have to make a grand deal out of it if you don't wish it to It could be something special, just you and me. I'm sure we'll manage." She placed a few kisses to his chest, and ran her fingers tenderly through his hair, hearing his body relax and fall into sleep. She smiled, letting hr arm drape across his powerful frame as she too, fell into sleep, curled up against him as she was meant to. They would manage this threat. And they would succeed in defeating it.
