Once inside, Shun grabbed one of the smaller baskets to help him carry his things, pausing as Hel spoke up again. She seemed pretty intent on calling him 'friend' which really kind of confused him. Maybe it was a valkyrie thing?
"Just some rice, meat, and nuts," he replied quietly before taking a moment to recall where he'd need to go to get those things. When it came to him, he started to head on over to those aisles so he could pick up the food.

Oh, a basket! Yeah, that seemed like a pretty good idea! Hel spun on her heel, swiping a basket of her own before coming to stand at Shun’s side once more. “Ah! That’s almost identical to what I’m here for as well!” Which also translated to: how lucky for Shun! They could stay together the entire trip.
The valkyrie needed to pick up some meat, spices and just a few vegetables, along with quite a few bags of beef jerky. As soon as Shun set off, Hel followed right along, keeping in step with him once more. Ever still curious about her newest companion, the reaper tilted her head up to look at him as they moved through the aisles. “So, what kind of reaper are you, and what is your weapon?”

Raising an eyebrow at Hel, Shun just sort of shrugged off what she said before making his way through the aisles to pick up the things he said he would. It didn't take too long to do so, and he was pretty quiet throughout the little trip through the store. That is, until another question was thrown at him.
"I'm a grim; got a pair of daggers," he replied simply, "You?"
It was pretty obvious that she was a valkyrie, but that didn't say a whole lot for her weapon. For the most part, he didn't really care, but he supposed he should at least try to be polite and return the question to her.

Hel swiped whatever she needed off of the shelves as they made their way through the store together. The ghoul kept up with him the entire way, and if she ever did disappear, it was for no more than a few moments as she grabbed something that wasn’t on Shun’s path. By the time they were heading to the check out, Hel’s basket was filled with meat, spices, a few vegetables, a few bags of beef jerky, and a jug of apple cider. She paused as she neared one of the registers, and swept an arm out, motioning for Shun to go first.
“Ah! That sounds excellent!” Not just one, but two daggers, huh? She found that to be very interesting, and grinned when the question was turned back on her. “My weapon is a spear that is taller than you are, friend!” She informed him proudly.

Having everything that he needed, Shun nodded to Hel before making his way to the register so he could pay for his goods. A spear hm? Even though they weren't going to be fighting with weaponry, he couldn't help but speculate how things would go should they battle. Hel would have the advantage of reach by far... but if he was able to get in close, she would be the one in trouble.
It was hard to say how he might be able to do that outside of teleportation when he didn't know her fighting style though.
There was something ironic about the short Reaper having a weapon with a long reach though.
"Interesting," he mused while thinking all of this over, "You've trained with it often?"

Hel venture on over to the register after Shun, and placed her things on the conveyor belt before coughing up the seeds to pay for her groceries. With her bags in hand, she’d start making her way back to the reaper dorms at Shun’s side, grinning up at him. Oh Jack, if they could use their weapons? Battling would get a lot more interesting!
“Trained with it often?” Hel echoed, as if the question was ridiculous. She laughed before replying. “Of course I have, friend! Who ever doesn’t train with their weapon after summoning it for the first time has no right to be called a reaper!” Really, the thought of being less than proficient in handling something that was a part of one’s self was inexcusable! “Back home, I often sparred and mock battled with my eight sisters, using our weapons.”

"Eight... sisters?"
Damn that was impressive. Shun had no siblings so it was hard for him to imagine what it would be like to have eight of them. Things would definitely be different for sure. Though, the grim reaper had some other opponents he had to practice against. He didn't exactly have anything like a sibling relationship with them, however.
"Sounds... a little chaotic."
Taking his bag of stuff, he went on to head back towards the school.

“Yup, eight sisters!” The reaper echoed with a grin. “I am the youngest!” Hel was always amused to see others’ reactions to this statement of having that many siblings, and Shun was no exception. If anything the valkyrie was even more amused, since Shun had been rather reserved thus far. “Chaotic…?” Hel reached up to rub her chin thoughtfully. In all honestly…she probably didn’t have a grasp on what qualified as chaotic. All Hel knew her entire life was eight sisters, noisy dinner conversations every night, and invasion of privacy, all the time.
“I can’t say it is, friend.” She murmured after a moment with a shrug. “What about you, any siblings?”

Glancing over at her, Shun stared for a moment. He had a hard time imagining how having eight siblings wasn't chaotic. At times he wondered what it would be like, but he didn't think he would want that many brothers or sisters.
"I've none," he said before pausing, "Though apparently Xiu 'adopted' me as her older brother or something."
The Reaper still didn't quite understand that. But... whatever.

When Shun glanced over at her, for longer than a moment, Hel stared back, smiling and with a brow raised curiously. Nope, the concept of chaotic as all but lost on the reaper, sadly! At the mention of the Baku though, Hel’s expression lit up. “Oh really? How wonderful!” Hel was grinning now. That Xiu was so…so adorable and sweet! “She has a very kind heart. She’ll make a wonderful wife one day.” The reaper commented with a firm nod.
“I also believe it’s good that she has an older sibling like you, to protect her!”

Shun continued to stare. She'd make a wonderful wife? That was... a little bit of a strange compliment. Then again, he decided that Hel was a bit of a strange one, so he supposed it was suiting. Still, it was odd for him to really think about anything like that.
"I suppose," he shrugged, "I don't think she was quite seeking protection when she decided to do that though."

Wow, she was keeping the grim reaper’s attention for more than a few seconds? Wonderful! Still, Hel was amused by Shun staring at her, but she had no idea why.
“I don’t think she would, either, but that’s what comes with the duty of being a sibling, yes?” The reaper questioned. “You look out for your family!” She gave another firm head as she uttered this rather seriously, her pace picking up once the school’s gate came into view. “Ah, we’re almost home! Say there friend, the clearing next to the dorms a good place?”

You look out for your family!
That statement made Shun pause momentarily but then he shook his head and continued walking. No. She was right. It was just that the man back at home could hardly be considered as such in the first place. He was relatively protective of the Baku in any case.
"That should work out fine," he replied in regards to their sparring location, glancing to the clearing as it came into view.
"I'll be back down in ten," he said. It wouldn't take long for him to put his things away after all.

A brow rose curiously as Shun paused for a brief moment, and Hel was about to question it until he spoke up. She was easily derailed from it, and moved on to the subject of their sparring as well. “Sounds good, friend! I’ll meet you there!” The reaper then made the haul back to her room, storing the meat and vegetables into the mini-fridge and the spices and jerky in a cabinet before rushing back down to the clearing to wait for Shun.
While she waited, Hel stretched, grinning from ear to ear in anticipation.

It took little time for Shun to store away the food he had just bought, so before long, he was making his way back to the ground level. Stepping outside, he already saw that Hel was there, waiting for him. As he approached, he started to loosen himself up, and when he got there, he began to stretch as well.
He didn't say anything as he did this.
