So he made it this far. Just a little bit farther... one more door before he could get to the village. Once their he would need to watch out for the guards, but he needed to get past here before he could worry about them. He came to the second door to find a closer relative. Thinking he figured it was a third or fourth cousin.
19 Success Tenshi decided to take the route of that if he was here he should be able to get out. It should be a piece of cake, however, due to the fact that this was his cousin... it might prove a little more difficult than he thought. "Good evening Tatsuya. May I go through? I need to get some herbs for my mother."
"Sure I'll let you through, but why are you going and not her? It is pretty dangerous out there."
"So I've heard. You know how adults are. Always busy with other things. Besides she just needs some to put in her tea to get to sleep. They shouldn't be too far out into the woods. I should be fine, I learned quite a bit in the academy."
"That's what scares me..."
17 Success "I've learned quite a bit in the academy. I can use almost all the jutsu's required to graduate, I have practiced the Gamibuyou, and did some other training. Surely it isn't that bad just outside these walls?"
"It isn't, but if you venture too far out, there is no telling what is out there. Other shinobi, criminals, wild animals, and not to mention the cold. We are Fubuki, but even we have our limits."
"I will be perfectly fine out there. Besides I will more than likely stay within the sight of the compound so as not to get lost. She just needs some herbs."
"Do you know which ones?"
18 Success He had no idea. He wasn't an expert in tea making. His mother told him a few times, but he never paid much attention. "I don't know which ones, but my mother wrote them down on this piece of paper," he said as he waved the note in front of him before placing it in his pocket. "You see, I am not totally helpless."
"No not yet, but when you get outside it is a different game. If you don't know the herbs, how do you know what they look like?"
19 Success Great no he had to make another excuse, "Well my mother isn't brain dead. She wrote a description for me under each one so I can compare it with what I find."
"Karin was always intelligent. She never seems to miss a thing. One last thing before I let you out... You haven't heard of anything... Out of the ordinary... have you?" He whispered it and looked around as he spoke, as if someone was watching or listening to their conversation. The creepiness of it all sent a shiver down Tenshi's spine. Did he hear who it was that left the note? Or was he just yanking his chain?
18 Success Tenshi had to bring forth the words to reply to him, almost too scared to let them escape his lips, "No, nothing out of the ordinary... this is an old place, you know. Lots of creaking of doors and whistling of the wind through the cracks. I'm sure it is just your imagination..."
"Eh, you're probably right... The night shift gets to you after a while. No wonder why there are always vacancies..." He opened the door as Tenshi walked outside into the cold. When the door shut behind him he broke off into a sprint towards the village.

Gin tapped his feet on the ground like he was playing double base. He was getting a little anxious at this point and time and none of the ideas worked in his mind at this point in time. What if he went about and climbed through the window or something, that would be easy enough but his mom would find out soon enough and tell the dad and he'd get in trouble. He needed a legitimate reason to be out of the house.
Why would he care about getting in trouble however, he could always just do it and ignore all that. But if his parents found out and they resticted him from going out that would be worse than not going to this place at all so that wasn't really well worth the risk. He could always just them where he was going but they always seemed to worry about him, there was a chance he would have died in the previous 2 C ranked missions that he took part in and now he's going somewhere related to the bloody mist.
Yeah, that would be impossible, they definately wouldn't let him go if they knew there was a heavy risk. His parents probally cared about him if he were to guess and he knew they were to emotional. He needed something that would take equally long as going to where he was going, it was tommorrow. He was more interested in seeing if he could kill the damned ghost, if it was truely a ghost he was interested in seeing it and testing it's capability. He was rather confident and wanted to test himself against the other most fortunate people.
He sat down and looked up at the roof of the room and blew the front of his hair by redirecting his lips so the wind went across his face. He could always ask to see if it was okay if he could go and see if he could find a scroll for a new genjutsu, that might be able to work and it seemed like a pretty good idea, yeah he would ask that and hopefully they would fall for it or something. He just had to keep up a poker face and he'd be fine.

Gin walked into the room where his parents were so he could ask them if he could go out and do what he said he was doing. He knew his parents were smart and had years top get used to his patterns and lifestyle. Now that he thought about it he was pretty hungry so maybe he could use that, but this was getting increasingly difficult, if he used both it'd be obvious he just wanted to sneak out.
So which one seemed more realistic to make his parents believe him. The one chance he had to ask couldn't be wasted or he'd have no way of getting out of here. He was having a much harder time doing this than fighting those bandits or whatever that was in his last C-Ranked mission. The bandits didn't have any power of him like his parents did and he was only 9 so it's not like he would just go out to party or anything to often.

Gin thought of a way to be able to go about this, he would have only have chance so there had to be a way to be able to decide between them. He found some straws and cut one, he was going to draw straws to figure ouit with which strategy he was going to take. The longer straw meant he would use the excuse about going to the academy to get a scroll to learn a new genjutsu. That was all but a lie however.
That's all he needed to do, one little white lie and it'd be fine he'd hoped. He knew that his parents were smart but to assume everything he said had some sort of trick in it by him would be crazy. His parents couldn't always be on guard so it should work, he was hoping so at the least. He was hoping to just go and stop wasting time thinking of more solutions like he had been.

Gin ran his hand through his hair and took a deep breath, he had to regain his composure before confronting his parents and he knew it. If he went in like he had a plan, it would be sniffed out right away. They would probally have seen it in his eyes if he didn't prepare himself. When he went down to talk to them he took a yawned and made sure to talk to both and not one. "Hey, I'm going to the academy to check if there are any genjutsu I can learn." Gin said but was instantly shut down. His parents saw instantly and pointed it that he was lieing and asked him where he was truely going. He told them about the note and they said it was fine for him to go against what he thought they would say. He failed after putting all that effort into lieing and they say that he can go to suchc a dangerous place. "Do you guys even care about me?" Gin said dramatically before pouting outside the door.

Gin knew he had to make it outside the gate to be able to meet up with all the other people. Wait where was he going anyway? He had to leave the village and his parents wouldn't tell anyone so he didn't have any risk of them telling. They were as stubborn as he was and he knew that, but how would he secretely get through the gate with no one knowing if it was an exclusive tour. He had to figure out how to get out there or he wouldn't be able to go.
He looked around and realized that he was going to have to go over the wall if he had any chance to get out to meet with them. How would he get way up there though, he wasn't physically strong to climb it. Also they didn't put villagers up there to defend the village, so it wouldn't be that easy to get through. He then noticed that the roofs could help him and that if he used the roofs he'd be able to get over the wall perfectly fine.
He had to find a low access point to get on the roofs before getting to higher levels, not the easiest task really. He took a look around and noticed that there were quite a few high buildings and then some small buildings. He needed to get up to a tall building by the wall if he had any hope of getting over. He found a building that he choose that would give him access to taller and more well placed buildings. He looked around and saw some windows, running right through the building without even worrying about what anyone said he went to the window.
When he got to the window he jumped onto the sill and used that to jump across to the building across from this house, the window on the second floor. From the rooftop he jumped back to the building he was in the window of a second ago, but now on the roof. Next he used that to jump to a slightly more elevated roof and then took his time to evaluate the situation on whicch path he should take. He had to find the tallest building by the wall to get up there.
He saw if he ran forward he would get closer to the wall and that he'd hopefully be able to get up there if he followed this path of a straight way, he was just hoping he could get onto that last roof and onto the wall. It would require his full acrobatic power to even hope to get up there, no mistakes. He started to sprint, jumping up to the next rooftop, barely being able to grab on and he almost fell, but he flipped himself up there after getting ahold of the side of the building. The next one didn't come any easier either.
He sat down on the roof to catch his breath, jounin and stuff made this look so easy but it definately wasn't even for a skilled genin such as himself. He took a few breaths off fresh air and almost coughed on his heavy breathing. Getting up to his knee he wiped a bit of sweat off the side of his head and looked at his next target. He then looked in the opposite direction and walked to the edge of the building. He had to get plenty of room to sprint before the jump for this one. So he started to sprint and grimaced when he jumped as high as possible. He failed however.
He tried to grab the edge of the rooftop but wasn't successful since he actually jumped to far, placement wasimportant as he went over the building and clinged onto the wall and slid down it. He landed saftely enough thanks to his acrobatics but he would have to find his way back up onto the roof, he planned on using the stairs this time however. He had to get over the roof to continue the mission and he didn't even know how he'd descend from the wall after he got up on the wall itself.
He found himself up on the building in no time and was ready to do t he next jump. He was only a few buildings away now and he would have to use it all. He needed to run and jump and without stopping use that momentum to do the last three jumps. He stretched out as he built up all the strength he could and then took a sprint to jump to thet next building ready to keep on running. The reason he didn't start at the building closest to the wall was because he needed more momentum.
He flew across the air, wind against his face as he smiled happily. He did a flip just to show off and as soon as he landed he kicked off the ground and shot forward at a faster rate of speed. He used all his strength to shoot forward and jump up to the next building while startingto get a little tired. He had two more buildings before he got to the wall, just two more and he'd be good.
He jumped to the next building and he only had one more which was the highest building he'd be on. If he fell it'd be pretty much life threatening if he didn't focus completely but he didn't have time to focus on anything but the jump right now considering he couldn't stop or he'd not make it. Jumping up he barely got his footing on the edge of the building that he was aiming for, but he didn't s top since the hardest jump of all was to get onto the wall from here. Challenge #2 Get outside the gate Goal: Get outside the gate to meet up with the group. Requirements: 10 successful checks (DC: 10+skill mod) of any of the following skills. Athletics/Strength: Climb out Stealth/Dex: Sneak out when nobody is looking Acrobatics/Dex: Take the rooftops to get over the wall Intimidate/Cha: Scare a guard away by making animal noises

He shot forward a nd jumped as far as he could, almost like Micheal Jordon in Space Jam, it was a crazily epic jump. He flew across the sky as if by slow motion but when he wasn't reaching it his arm started to stretch out, well maybe not that but he did barely catch the edge of the wall even without that freakisly amazing jump. He felt all the power drain in his arms and he groaned as he slowly lifted himself up onto the wall.
Once on the wall he looked down at the outside of the wall and also turned around. Wow he was sure high and he had no way of getting down. He kinda was worried that he wouldn't be able to get down, like when a kid climbs a tree and they look down and freeze up. He was nine years old, all nine year olds had a fear of heights and many older aswell. He was just old enough to notice the risks of falling to his death.

He realized some walls, with his acrobatics skills he could reach over there but it would be full of risks. The branchs would slow him down so he wouldn't go splat and it would also hide his location from the guards. It w as quite a risk but he was cofident t hat he could get down there safely with the skills he's gained lately. He stretched out his legs and his arms and took a few tame yet deep breaths as he got ready to do the Assassins Creed's Leap of Faith.
Both things 10/10

Batsu kept running through the gate at full speed. The boy was able to trick the guards and earned a trip on this boat ride... or whatever the letter said. After the boy broke the gate and ran a few meters past before coming to a halt and doubling over trying to catch his breath. The poor guy was tired and he couldn't help but to fall forward onto the ground. It was a bit much, but considering what he had to get through to run through the gate, he didn't give a damn.

Gin looked over at the boy and sighed, he had landed safely off course from the jump by moving around the tree. Did that boy also get through. Gin was younger than him and he was able to do it so why not this other kid. Gin was kinda expecting to see people like Shinzu but this guy was a complete stranger to him. Though he wasn't trying to hide himself, if this guy wanted to fight he would oblidge him but Gin has no way to know who this man was so why be scared? He didn't talk to him but he didn't hide his location to him either.

Batsu kept huffing and puffing face down on the dirt road. The boy felt a presence somewhere around him, but was too worn to try and pinpoint the exact location of this guy or girl. All the genin did was sigh into the ground, kicking up dust. The boy eventually mustered up the strength to rise to his knees and he placed his hands on his lap. His breathing slowed to about the normal rate and stopped being so damn noticeable. Although, he inhaled one more time and said one word to the other... "Letter?"

"Your questioning me, meaning you weren't the one who sent the letter. You're just another one who found interest in this little game as I am, but who are you?" Gin asked as he walked out of the shadows of the tree, this guy just ran right through the gate. From that he realized that this guy seemed rather impulsive, not neccessarily was he that way in fighting but his personality was rather direct from what he picked up so far. He had no idea who this was, though maybe this kid reconized Gin from the academy or something but Gin didn't pay much atttention to guys. The little nine year old was above the curve for his grade but he sure was no Sasori or Kakashi who were much younter upon graduation.

Batsu eventually placed the focus of his weight onto his toes and stood up. The boy then brushed his face off and turned to face the boy. After getting a quick glance at him, he gave a confirming nod as he looked over his shoulder to make sure the guards weren't aware of him leaving the village. It was bad enough that he indirectly led them on a chase... so it would suck if he did all that just to get caught.
"No, I am not the one who write the letter. I wouldn't waste my time ding this elaborate plan just for kicks... especially since I have no idea who you are. And yes, I'm here because the letter said something about great wealth. That's why I'm here... shallow as it may seem. Oh, I'm Batsu... Watanabe Batsu. I'm a member of Team Shinzu and am the team's medic." The boy was slowly starting to get back into his natural state of mind now that the adrenaline rush had died down.
The boy felt that it was safe for him to stop looking over his shoulder. The guards didn't come after him then, which meant that it was a sure bet that he went through the gate undetected. So the boy stared over at the other male and gave a two-fingered salute.

He heard a mention of Shinzu but didn't say anything. "I heard mention of the bloody mist, it interested me more than sitting in my room all day. I am Gin so feel free to call me that and my weapon of choice are shuriken." The fact of the matter was that he was hiding stuff from Batsu.
The first thing he was hiding from him was in fact something as mundane as his name. The very mention of the Maboroshi clan in which he was a member of might lead him to figure out his fighting style. Which led upon the second thing that he hid from Batsu.
Although he was truthful about the fact that his weapon of choice was the shuriken, he was really a genjutuist, a skilled one at that for his age. He didn't want to let any potential rivals or enemies know about it till the time was right that he had to use it in front of them. Although Batsu did very well deserve to be told it since he did give Gin both his real name and his specialty in jutsu. Gin's name was really not Gin but that was not a matter of that time.

((16+3=19 ) PASS ) Just as he thought walking out of his room was easy. He didn't even need to take his boots off. He simply walked down the stairs and out the front door. However with his next door neighbors on the lookout he'd have to be a bit more crafty to get by their dog.
((16+3=19 ) PASS) Keon decided yo take a shortcut through their yard and since their dog was sleep it seemed to be a good idea. Keon looked at their dog. It was rather large and fat. From the look of it, it was lazy and would have let him walk through even if he was awake. Keon was so arrogant he started to play with the dog's face making it smile and frown. He started to laugh at this and his laughs were quite loud.
((1 ) EPIC FAIL ) The young ninja should have been more cautious with the animal. It woke up from his loud laughing. Keon froze starting at the dog in fear. The dig looked asbif he was about to start barking. Keon shook his head almost pleading with the root not to call attention to him. However the dog was not going to roll over this time he started barking loud enough to wake up the whole neighborhood.
((7+3=10 ) FAIL) Needless to say the dog's owners woke up and came out to see what all the fuss was about. Keon was still trying to calm the dog down. However he had nothing to give him and didn't know much about training dogs. He was stuck and if he was caught again he'd be in way more trouble than this trip was worth.
((17+3=20 ) PASS ) Just before they came out Keon was able to hide behind the other side of their house. He was still progressing towards the end of the street and as soon as he got there he would be free to walk to the gate. Getting to the other side was another story. And would most likely tire him out before he even found out what the letter was about.
