"He thought that?" he frowned, not really sure what to make of that assumption. It seemed odd to him, but then again he didn't think he should really be too concerned about what Mac thought in the first place.
"I... don't really know," He admitted, "I don't know a lot of things I feel any more. Things were simpler before I came here. .. Before I met her."
Shaking his head, Shun sat back down onto the bed, frowning.
"Only thing I know for sure is that I care about her, a lot. Probably more than anyone else."

"I bet they were... It's just... Maintaining a relationship is not easy," She smiled, looking just a little sad as she idly twirled a lock of hair around her finger, "Do you feel a need to protect her? Like... Take care of her?" Ugh, it would be so much easier if she actually knew how boils operate when it came to having feelings that go past friendship.
She hesitated, looking unsure before asking, "Have you ever... Wanted Mitsu to be more than a friend? Like... I want you to think about it now."

For a little while, Shun was silent as he was working things out in his head.
"I do want to protect her, yes," he said while he continued to think. When she asked the next question, he looked at her with some sense of confusion. His initial reaction was to say no, but she requested that he think about it a little more thoroughly.
Grimacing, he glanced away towards the ground mulling it over. Did he? The answer seemed to be so much more muddled and conflicted than the other things so far.
"I don't know," he grumbled. A part of him still wanted to say no, but he wasn't too certain of that. And that confused him greatly. Damn this confusion that seemed to always persist around these sorts of things. It was making his life a little hard.

She smiled to herself, pleased that he was taking his time to answer rather than giving an answer straight; that showed that she was thinking rather than give her something he thought of as politically correct.
"I don't know is a good place to start," She nodded; the absence of a 'no' made her wonder if perhaps part of him had special feelings for the werewolf... That or it might be him wishing to protect her like an older brother would, "I'm just giving you some questions to reflect on - you actually already have some of these answers... Let's see if I can ask the right questions." Yes, the answers must come from him rather than anyone else for this to work.
"Again, take time to reflect... Don't be so quick to answer!" She paused briefly, "How do you feel about Mitsu getting a boilfriend? Why do you think you feel this way?"

Shun didn't understand why Lizzy was asking these sorts of questions. The questions in themselves were kind of frustrating to deal with. Though, at the boyfriend question, the Reaper tensed a bit at the thought of it. It wasn't really an idea he particularly enjoyed to go over.
But what got him more was that he reacted this way at all. Why should it matter to him if she found someone? If it was a good guy that wouldn't end up hurting her, that'd be better for her right? Having someone like that could help her improve how she feels and stuff like that.
... Right?
There was an odd sensation in his chest, similar yet different from things he had felt before.
"I..." he started, but he was distracted by the whirlwind of emotions going through him now.
"...I think I'm getting sick," he mumbled.

"Yes...?" She waited for his answer as patiently as she could, not wanting him to rush; after all, she figured that these emotions must be new to the boil. At his answer, however, she stared, blinked, and then stared some more before finally bringing her hand up to meet with her face for a face palm.
At least that was a cliche way of saying 'I think I like her that way'.
"You're not sick," She informed him with a soft sigh, mildly amused, "I think you might be developing feelings for her..."

Everything was starting to give Shun a headache as this was a little too much for him to be digesting all at once. That comment Lizzy made did not help with that situation either.
"Well yeah, I'm definitely feeling something because of her," he said, not seeming nearly as amused as the spider demon was over this. Though, soon after he said that, he paused and furrowed his brow.
"Wait, what... did you mean by that?"
He had a slight inkling she might be referring to something in specific.

"... You know, developing feelings for Mitsu?" She waved a hand in the air at 'feelings' to put emphasis on the word before pausing, wondering if perhaps Shun was really what one would call a 'noob' at emotions... Then again, he had said something about not having a very emotion-filled childhood due to his (insert negative meaning word here) father.
"Well... Uh, let's see... Do you want to protect Xiu too?" She asked with a slight tilt of her head, "Is it the same kind of protection you want to give Mitsu? Why do you think that is so?" Again with the questions; hopefully Shun wasn't bored of them already, but they were a great way for him to figure some of these things out for himself!

Furrowing his brow, Shun was getting a little irritated with all the questions again.
"Is it really necessary to pry and pick away at my mind like this?" he grumbled. Letting out a huff, he ran his hand through his hair while glancing away, trying to think. He didn't feel as protective of Xiu as he did for Mitsu, he decided. There was still some of that there, but... it didn't really feel the same.
"I've known Mitsu longer," he murmured, tossing that out as a possibility. He was getting frustrated so he wasn't putting as much thought into these things.

"That could be one reason," She ignored his previous question, mainly because her answer would be 'because it's for your own good' and she was freaked out by how much she sounded like her mother right now, "Or you might be treating Mitsu this way because you're attracted to her... The way you look out for Xiu, the way I see it, is like the way... Hm... Ah! Like the way Mot might look out for me - like an older brother."
She nodded, pausing a bit to allow Shun to digest that piece of observation before continuing, "The way you care for Mitsu - the way this issue so called 'pushed you enough' the way it did - is beyond that... The amount of effort and time you spend on her, given your personality, is a little out of character." She couldn't resist a small grin as she added, "Not that it's a bad thing, of course!"
Another pause followed, "Do you want Mitsu to be your ghoulfriend?"

Looking less than amused while Lizzy ignored his first question and just continued to explain things, Shun.. could kind of see what she was talking about. Though both girls were fairly pretty so that didn't quite add up to him.
As she went on, his gaze flicked back to the demon, frowning some as she seemed to be trying to get at something here.
"Anyone could easily say that the fact that I hang around any of you is 'a little out of character'," he huffed, "I've really only kept to myself up until recently."
Though, then she had to throw that question at him. Staring at her, he seemed to have kind of froze once it was tossed out. Emotions stirred up again and he couldn't really make heads or tails of how he felt about it all. The thought also brought on the odd sensation in his chest.
"I..." he started, trying to figure out what to say. But then he glanced away and went with something else.
"She... wouldn't want to be that," he murmured, not really answering Lizzy's question.

"That is also true, but I doubt you have the urge to protect me or Xiu the same way you want to protect Mitsu," She giggled softly before shrugging, giving the boil a small, sheepish smile, "That is just my observation though... They're your feelings, so only you have the answer to them, really." She had already said that earlier, although with different words.
When he averted his gaze, she blinked, wondering if he was finally going to admit to having feelings for the ghoul. While slightly disappointed that he did not, she had to resist grinning at his answer; sure, he did not say 'yes', but the more important thing was that he did not say 'no'... And that was what she had decided to focus on; if she was the type to share secrets, she would have told him about Mitsu's little crush. However, seeing how she would rather the two sort out their feelings themselves...
The reaper would receive a blank stare from Lizzy as well as a quirk of the eyebrow, the demoness trying her best not to show her glee at the turn of events, "Oh? Why would you say that?"

Gritting his teeth, he took in what Lizzy had to say, considering the words. There.. was a point to that as well. However, he waved it off for now and just focused onto her new question with a grimace.
"I'm an emotionless b*****d," He said bluntly. He had a much easier time answering this than the previous questions, "Mac called me heartless earlier today and I wouldn't be surprised if there was truth to that."
With a scoff, he simply shook his head to himself.
"This.. thing. I don't know anything about it. How to deal with it or what. I doubt anyone would want someone like that with them in that way."

"Emotionless? Let's see..." She held up a balled fist, staring down at it with a thoughtful expression, "Within the period of this talk, you had displayed hesitation, confusion as well as frustration." Three fingers had shot up by the time she continued speaking, still with that same thoughtful expression, "When you threatened Mot and punched Mac, you displayed Rage." Another finger joined the three to make four.
"When you felt a need to do something for Mitsu when she was in distress - even if the method by which you went about doing it was something I disapprove of - you showed that you cared," Her thumb joined her fingers, and she wriggled them, her expression softening as she smiled, "Hm, doesn't seem all that emotionless to me."
She glanced around, all shifty-eyed before lowering her voice, "Don't tell him this, even if he probably already knew, but... Mac's not all moonlight and sugar either." She giggled, "But that doesn't change how I feel about him... I'm sure Mitsu likes you for who you are as well. Would appreciate it if you would actually make the effort to loosen up though..." The last sentence was said in a teasing manner, and she grinned.

Well, those were emotions for sure, but that wasn't quite what he was trying to go at. Still grimacing, he shook his head once more. No, he didn't expect Mac to be all moonlight and sugar. Considering how he was the one that made Mitsu cry, he was faaaaaaaar from that as far as Shun was concerned.
"Hmph," he scoffed, "It doesn't matter anyway. I don't do love."
