"O-oh Jack." It took the feline a moment to regain her senses, but when she did...
Embarrassment. Like nothing she had felt before. The first thing she saw when she opened her eyes was Shun's pain-ridden face. It didn't take a genius to figure out where she was...
And what had happened.
Her face blushed profusely until it was about the color of her wide, dumbfounded eyes. She needed to move. Riyo needed to move. C'mon legs. function. Get the hell up.
The feline had been in the process of convincing her body to move again until something brushed up against her ears. A pitiful squeak escaped her mouth at the feel of a foreign touch. Thank Jack it had only lasted a second.
As soon as her mind came back into focus, Riyo practically leapt away from the scene, moving a few feet away until she was about where Felix was.
"I... Um... That... Me... F-falling... Uh..." It was a pathetic attempt at trying to explain, but her mind was a little... Scrambled at the moment. Her legs folded up against her chest while her hands reached up to cover her ears. "I don't... I didn't mean... To..."

"K-kusoooooo..." winced Shun under his breath. Once Riyo was off of him, he drew his knees up slightly and doubled over with his arms wrapped around himself. He didn't say anything else to the feline or the lupine in the area. Right now he was just trying to get his bearings back.
The pain was slowly fading, but he wasn't quite ready go start moving again.
Shuddering, he took in a few deep breaths, trying to ride out this terrible terrible moment.

"S..shun are you okay?" Mitsu asked again hearing the reaper mutter something under his breath. She wasn't too familiar with Japanese yet but if she were to guess she would have to say it was a curse or some sort.
Turning her head slightly her masked gaze fell on Riyo who was curled up in a sitting position on the ground. She was stumbling over her words enough to compete with Mitsu any day. "I..It's okay..." Maybe. She hadn't been the one who had been landed on after all. "J-just um...a..are you okay?" Mitsu was looking between the two of them waiting for some sort of answer.

If Riyo had been in her right mind to say so, the response to Mitsu's question would've probably been 'A lot better than Shun', but alas, such clever responses were lost to her.
"M... Mhm." She mumbled while nodding slightly. There was a bit of an ache from the fall, but it was nothing bad.
She did, however, feel a little bad for what happened to Shun. Sure. She hated him. She hated him with a passion... But Riyo rarely resorted to violence when it came to people she held disdain for. Not unless the situation called for it...
Which it certainly did not this time. "Sorry.." She pushed out, knowing full well that he'd be angrier than a swarm of killer bees with a broken hive when he got done being in pain.

"Just.... fine..." he grunted while slowly relaxing himself from his curled up position. Gritting his teeth, he rose his head and glanced to the side at the woman that caused him this agony.
"..The.. hell were you doing... in the tree..?" he hissed. Shun was still in pain. That much was apparent, but he was able to think and speak somewhat now.
Either way, it was also very apparent that he was not happy in the slightest, not that any guy would be after something like this.

Ears falling back Mitsu turned from Riyo to Shun. Despite what he said she could tell he was still in pain. Moving over toward the reaper Mitsu gently placed a hand on his shoulder as he tried to ease his way out of his curled up position.
"J..just try to relax a little?" This wasn't a bandage situation, there wasn't much Mitsu could do to help. Really the only thing she could do was sit by while Shun waited for the pain to ease up.
When the reaper hissed a question in Riyo's direction Mitsu once again turned her attention to the feline. Had she been sitting up in the tree this whole time?

What she'd actually been doing was spying. It hadn't started out as that, but in the end that's what she was doing.
However, saying so would get her no points in this situation. Time to get out of panic mode and think.
"I was... Sleeping." Yes. Yes that would work. Slowly she brought her hands down from her ears and unfolded her legs. "It was a nice day, so I thought I'd come outside to enjoy it, but I didn't want to be bothered." She could feel her confidence returning the more she lied. "Then a bird attacked me and... Here we are." Now sitting up straight, her face had returned to it's regular color and composure. Riyo took a moment to dust herself off and straighten her hair... Wait. Something was supposed to be on her head. Hat. Where was her hat?

Grimacing, Shun relaxed a little more. He let out a breath and glanced to Mitsu briefly before frowning at Riyo. Well, the story was plausible enough he supposed. Her cat had been napping on the ground below her and all. Grumbling under his breath thanks to the lingering bits of pain, he finally straightened up and leaned against the tree.
The Reaper had recovered.. mostly now.
Since he was still a little distracted, he didn't really see that Riyo was missing anything right now.

Mitsu wasn't about to question Riyo's story. It seemed very plausible, though she hadn't really questioned why she was in the tree to begin with. "I..It doesn't seem like a good place to nap.." Mitsu mumbled looking up toward the branches where Riyo had previously been perched. Though the canine also wasn't very fond of heights either. So to her it seemed like a terrible place to nap...namely because you could fall...like Riyo had.
Looking a little more Mitsu could see the hint of a bird's nest. That must have been why Riyo was attacked. The mother bird probably hadn't taken kindly to Riyo's close proximity. It seemed like she had taken quite the fall too.

"It is if you're not being divebombed by mini's." The feline grumbled, looking for the stupid bird momentarily before spotting her hat on the ground a short distance away. "Aha.:
Standing up, the feline took the couple of strides over to where her hat lay. Silently she bent over and dusted the hat off before it rested back in it's rightful place.
Until a sharp pain hit the feline. "OW." She hissed. Then it happened again, and again. "What the?!" Practically ripping the top hat back off her head, Riyo reached her clawed hand in and... Wouldn't you know it, there was the bird.
"Big mistake." as her eyes narrowed, the feline smirked and licked her lips. "I'm hungry."

Glancing briefly between the two girls, Shun turned attention more towards Riyo when she got up to move towards where her hat was sitting. He was about to dismiss her actions, until he heard her crying out in pain. At first he couldn't tell what the hell was up but then he saw the bird right there.
Raising an eyebrow, he just watched to see what she'd do about the critter, feeling no need to stand up. Nope. Not ready for that yet.

"I..I guess." Mitsu replied, though she still wouldn't want to sleep in a tree. It was way to high. Just the thought of it sent a slight shiver down her spine.
Turning back to Shun, Mitsu patted the reaper on the shoulder lightly. It seemed the pain was finally easing up. "You sure you're going to be okay?"
That's when she heard Riyo's exclamation of pain. Her ears perked and her gaze followed Shun's toward the feline to see what was up. It was strange, she didn't seem hurt. She had merely put her hat on her head but as the feline removed the hat the problem was soon evident. "I..it's a little bird..."
Hearing the hungry bit Mitsu's eyes widened behind her mask, her grip on Shun's shoulder tightening. "M..maybe we should put it back in it's nest?" Mitsu suggested looking up into the tree.

Riyo glanced over to Mitsu as she heard the girl's suggestion, then back to the bird struggling to escape her hand. "Or.. I could eat it. You know, since it knocked me out of the tree and continued to assault me on the ground." It made sense to Riyo. She had eaten small creatures before. When you got hungry, you got hungry after all.
Throwing her hat on, she brought the pitiful thing closer to her face. It squeaked and squawked as they usually do. "You're a wolf. Haven't you ever eaten something like this?" The feline asked, glancing at the ghoul before slowly looking back at the bird. It was giving her that look. The pathetic 'pleez don eet me' look. She hated that look.

For the most part, Shun didn't really care if Riyo ate it or put it back. However, there was one thing that came to mind.
"If you eat it, might as well go after the nest too," he shrugged. There was bound to be either chicks or eggs there. Either way those were dead should the mother get eaten up, so he figured 'might as well, right?'
Turning back towards Mitsu, he nodded.
"Yeah," he said a little gruffly. Nutshots were never fun to experience.

Mitsu's ears folded back but she really didn't say much else. To Riyo's question she shook her head. "I..I was never really allowed outside." She admitted softly. Maybe if she had more of an opportunity or had grown up in that light she might have tried the occasional critter or two. It wasn't like she didn't like raw meat, just something about killing the creatures herself to get it felt odd. Maybe that was just a spoiled side of her talking. Let someone else do the dirty work while she enjoyed the spoils.
So instead of saying anything else or suggesting that Riyo put it back in the nest, Mitsu remained silent. If there were baby birds or eggs she felt really bad for them and the squawking cries of the bird in Riyo's grasp didn't help much.
