Sheridan's advice was sound* but Christof's wounder-widened eyes were locked on the screen of the device. His mouth would have been hanging agape if it hadn't been stitched shut. Barth had his laptop, a horribly bogged down slow device that Christof had come to assume all computers ran like... until he had seen this... this... thing of technological terror.
Without thinking, he had leaned in to loom over the dragon's shoulder, eyes glued to the screen that danced with colors and numbers. Under his jacket, that unpredictable extra appendage slowly reached out by subconscious command to tentatively poke at the surface of the images experimentally.

And this here, maybe if... Sheridan had been focused on the formula he was scrawling out on the eyePad, then he rechecked the sketch, pausing to tap his chin thoughtfully. What if--
Oh. He turned, gaze falling on Christof who seemed to be intently staring at the device.
"I thought it would make it easier."
It was obvious the dragon was well familiar with the eyePad he held, most likely he used it on a constant basis. Truth be told, Sheridan never went anywhere with this little device. He could lose his eyePhone, his laptop, but his eyePad? There would be hell to pay.
"You've...never used one of these?"
He shifted his grip on the device, holding it closer to Christof, hopefully making it easier for the other to see just what he was doing.

Attention still locked on the device, the hunchback shook his head sharply, no. That seemed to break him out of his entrancement as he scrambled for his notebook once more, scribbling out:
Use Master Barth's Laptop sometimes. Have a phone Mistress purchased- Not so fancy!

"Oh, well I guess it's like an eyePhone, but it does more. I never go anywhere without it."
He held the eyePad eye for Christof to get a better look. And while he wasn't likely to hand over his precious eyePad, he would not have been opposed if Christof wished to touch the screen and explore just what it was capable of.
"It makes calculations a lot easier, and I don't have to carry around as many books."
All the books he had in his room, he had at least that many digitally stored on this device, not counting the large number of apps he had installed.

Christof had had an eyephone for a short period of time before the Island, but he had just barely managed to wrap his head around Text Messaging. Buttons that weren't really buttons.... eyes still locked on the device in amazement, he timidly touched a not-really-button experimentally, if only to see what it would do. A series of horrible, enraged looking birds flew across the screen instead. He must have... pressed the wrong button. He recoiled back in case he had broken something.

Hmmm?
Sheridan blinked, staring at the eyePad for a moment as Christof unwittingly unleashed the angry birds across his screen. Well he certainly hadn't expected that! And judging by the patchwork's reaction, neither was he.
However if Christof feared he had broken the device, the chuckle from the dragon should have assured him otherwise. No harm done at all, a few taps on the screen and the game had closed, the previous app (and his notes) revealed to be unaffected.
"Ah, it's good for games as well."
He was of course referring to the angry birds that Christof had discovered, as well as various other games he had installed on the device.
