Delnar gave a nod of his head as the rainbow stallion spoke. "I am certain these lands are full of dangers, what lands aren't, but unfortunately we haven't been here long enough to find this out. It's only been a few weeks since we fled out old lands and came here, it was a long journey for us so once we came to a place that looked safe the herds stopped and stayed there. A few scouts have gone out to search around but very little information has been brought back so far." As the reached the edge of the grass and stepped out into open area Delnar couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. Oh it was so good to be able to see something other than grass again. "Two-leggers were the predators from where we came from. They hunted us for food and hides. It's one of the reasons we escaped and came here."

Giving his fur a shake Delnar then looked to the small wings and then to the shaggy stallion. "Nope they aren't good for flying, even purebred Putti can't fly. We can use them only to create gusts of wind." He told the stallion with a slight shrug of his shoulders, it may not seem like anything special but Delnar knew that ability came in handy every now and then, especially on the hotter days.

Kale stepped out from the grass and took a few steps before turning around and double checking to make sure nothing else was lurking out there before turning his attention back to Delnar. They were hunted by two-leggers. That was terrible. At least here the two-leggers generally took care of Soquili, oh they weren't all good, but he had not heard of any ever hunting their kind before. He had been about to comment on that but a more important detail had been mentioned and he just had to ask about it. "You said herds. Are there many of your kind that have traveled to these lands?" The herds here could be quite large but Kale was unsure how large or small the herds of these new breeds were. Perhaps they preferred smaller herds due to their own size than larger herds. "Two-leggers aren't much trouble here." He went on to say. "There is the odd bad one but most tend to do what they can to care for us Soquili."

As Kale asked about the stallions wings Kale looked up at his mentor for a moment and then back at Delnar. Hopefully Delnar wouldn't be upset about such a question but then the little stallion answered as if the question didn't bother him one bit. So they had solved the mystery of those wings but now Kale was curious, was a Minicorn like a small version of this lands Unicorn in the sense that they could heal. "I'm curious about your horn. Can you heal others like a unicorn can? Or is it strictly for defense?" If his wings weren't used for flight then could it be possible the horn was more decoration than useful as well.

"Indeed humans are generally not a concern in these lands" Ironforge agreed, which was nice - he didn't want to think about the terror the two legs could cause if they wanted to, they had spears and bows and other nasty weapons that even a large Soquili would be hard pressed to overcome...let alone a smaller breed such as Dalanar. Since the small stallion was being so helpful and giving information Ironforge did not see the harm in giving some back. "Here we have skinwalkers - Soquili whom turn into felines or canines and sometimes bats or other predatory animals, they are rare but cause great troubles when they show up...and Kalona whom are also dangerous ill tempered Soquili with bat wings and spear like tails. Come to think of it Ironforge wasn't sure if it was better or worse that the main threats around here seemed to come from their own kinds.

As Kale asked about the horn Ironforge gave his rainbow companion an approving nod, that was important information to gather - it would be good to know if they these minicorns could also be healers, or in the off chance the herds turned nasty..if they would be a hinderance by healing the enemy. Ironforge was not getting the impression that these new herds brought with them any desire to harm however, merely to escape what sounded like a terrible old home.

Delnar couldn't help but blow out a sigh of relief as the two larger stallions said that for the most part the two-leggers of these lands were not a threat though the odd one may be. This was so much better than the old lands the herd came from where the main threat to their lives were two-leggers hunting them for a multitude of reasons. Of course his relief was quickly squashed by the information that the shaggy stallion told him. These skinwalkers and Kalona sounded horrific and he never wanted to encounter any of those. Though his eyes widened at the information he was grateful for it as well. This was something he could tell the herd about when he returned. "I'll be certain to look out for these creatures, and the herd would do good to know about them as well.

Turning his attention to the other stallion Delnar responded to his questions. "Our horns are meant for healing. From what little I have heard about the unicorns of this land I would say that we are quite similar to them, however our healing powers would be less than their because of our size." It made sense to him at least, that the bigger the unicorn and horn, the better their healing would be. "We can use it for defense, however a broken horn loses some of it's healing properties, so we try to avoid fighting with it at all costs." If it came down to it he would fight using his horn if it meant saving his life, but to break his horn doing so would be a huge change and he would not be as effective at healing.

Kale nodded at Ironforges words. Indeed Skinwalkers and Kalona were the big dangers in these lands, at least as far as Soquili breeds were concerned. There were other dangers as well but he didn't want to overwhelm the poor stallion with so many dangers all at once. "It is best to do what you can to avoid those two Soquili. They are not easily deterred once they have decided to target an individual." Not to mention he honestly couldn't see someone as small as Delnar effectively fighting off a Kalona, let alone a hungry Skinwalker. This he kept to himself, there was no reason to offend the stallion who had been friendly so far.

The information about Delnar's horn and what it could and couldn't be used for was helpful. These minicorns seemed very much similar to the full sized unicorns that were quite abundant in these lands. "I believe the same happens to a Unicorn who breaks their horn, that they lose some of their healing powers associated with it." At that Kale looked over at Ironforge for confirmation of this, since he wasn't completely certain if he was right, but it certainly made sense. The horn was the part where the power came from so losing a part of the horn should effect the healing abilities of it.

"Skinwalkers are thankfully quite rare and most herds and Soquilli are willing to help each other fend them off when they do show up" He offered as some measure of reassurance, surely the thought of such an animal had unsettled the minicorn slightly. unfortunately he couldn't offer the same type of reassurance about the Kalona - they were rare yes but not nearly so rare as the Skinwalkers. Of course once in a great while a Kalona turned out not to be quite so blood thirsty as well so perhaps it was a bit of a wash.

"I have never known a unicorn with a broken horn in person" The stallion stated after a few moments of thought 'But I have heard this to be true from some fairly reliable sources" He confirmed, it wouldn't do to say for sure something was true when he hadn't seen it himself but he was confident enough to mention he had heard of it before.

Delnar gave the two stallions words a bit of thought. Knowing the dangers was one thing, but it helped to know that if he were to fall under attack from a Skinwalker that others may help him fight it off. He wasn't much of a fighter, his Minicorn and Putti blood saw to that, both species were calm and turned to violence as an absolutely last resort. But if push came to shove he would try his best to fight back whatever decided to prey upon him. Hearing that more than likely the larger unicorn breeds were also effected by broken horns make Delnar realize just how similar they were. Really it seemed that only the size difference played a role in determining who was who. They could both heal, they both lost powers when a horn was broken and chances are they both also preferred peace over violence as well.

Looking back up at the two stallion Delnar smiled. "You have provided me with a good deal of information that I can bring back to my herd and I am truly thankful for that. I can tell them of the dangers but also that there are plenty of Soquili out there who are helpful. But most importantly that we no longer have to live with the constant fear of two-leggers." He had been lucky to run into these two for a number of reasons. "Now perhaps you can help me with one last thing before I let you two go back to whatever you were doing before you found me in the meadow. Where can I find a river or a place to drink around here?" It had been a long day so far and he was certainly a bit thirsty.

Kale gave a slight bob of his head. "We are always willing to help out others and provide them with information as long as we know the answers to their questions." Between the two of them Kale and Ironforge could probably answer just about any question or at least direct and individual towards the source of knowledge they were looking for. And if one came under attack while the pair was around they would certainly do what they could to save them. They were knights, well Ironforge was the true knight, Kale was still working on that, but they held the honor code of that lifestyle close to heart.

"We passed a source of water not too long ago. It was actually right before we came to the meadow, hidden within the trees." Kale motioned with his muzzle towards the forest that he and Ironforge had been traveling through not long ago. "We can certainly show you the way." Wouldn't do them any good to leave the small stallion here and not show him where to find water. He wouldn't be asking if he wasn't thirsty after all. Turning Kale began to lead the way into the forest, this time letting Ironforge take up the rear to keep watch out.

"The information you have provided us will be helpful as well" Ironforge told the smaller stallion as Kale led the way towards the stream 'WE have been hearing rumors of a large herd of new Soquili in the area - types that no one had ever seen before, and wished to find out more about you to ease the minds of our own herds and families" Thankfully from what they had learned so far it looked as though this new herd would not be any sort of danger to his own - if anything their small stature might make them in need of help from his larger brethren from time to time..though the healing and other abilities hinted at by Dalanar could be useful.

"As Kale says we are alwys willing to help those in need, should your herd require it do not be afraid to ask for directions or help" Perhaps the mini herd would stay in the area..or perhaps they would eventually move on, either way while they were in the area Ironforge would certainly do what he could to ease them into living in their new homes, he could imagine that such a large trek had been hard on some of them.

"Well it's a good thing we ran into each other then." Delnar let out a bit of a laugh. "Looks like we were both looking for certain information and managed to find it thanks to this chance meeting." Who would have thought that the pair he met were also looking for information, and not just any information, but specifically about the herd he lived with. Fate had funny ways of working sometimes. And so Delnar followed Kale with confidence into the forest, glad to have these two stallions on his side. He would need to find Avan soon but surely the hawk was busy hunting and would find him soon enough.

When the small stream came into view Delnar was again grateful to have met these stallions. He turned to face them at the edge of the water. "I will keep your offer in mind, if I ever need any help again I will certainly seek you two out. And I will let the herd know as well." He glanced at the water for a moment then back to the two stallions. "Well Kaleidoscope and Ironforge, I believe I have taken up enough of your time for the day. Thank you for your help and I hope to run into you both again some day." Taking a few more steps towards the stream Delnar lowered his head and drank deeply. Ah yes this was exactly what he needed. Once he had his fill and a bit of a rest he would continue his journey.

The journey to the stream was short. "We will come if you ever need us, you can count on that." He would not deny Delnar or his herd protection if they sought it and nor did he think Ironforge would. While a part of him would have liked to stay and chat more with Delnar he knew that he and Ironforge had other commitments as well and they couldn't waste too much time. Not that talking with Delnar so far had been a waste of time, no it had actually been quite productive. "It was good to meet you as well Delnar. Stay safe, call for us if you need and be certain to share what we have told you with your herd, I think they will find the information quite valuable." Kale dipped his head and then turned and began to walk away, though he kept his pace slow to allow Ironforge to bit the stallion farewell before catching up.

They had been quite lucky to stumble upon a member of the new herd so easily and while he was sure there was still more information to be gathered about them they certain had a good start to it. Besides you couldn't learn everything in one day, so their quest for information would likely continue on until they had enough to satisfy the shaggy stallion. Turning his head he looked back towards his mentor awaiting to see where they would head to next.

"So it would seem, we had thought we might have to travel a good distance farther before coming across the information we sought" The shaggy stallion remarked in a pleased tone, less time searching meant that he could of course move on to the next task of the day - more training for Kale. Ironforge was sure that the rainbow steed would look forward to that. At least until he found out what Ironforge had in store for him anyways.

"We shall look forward to another visit sometime" He told the smaller stallion ducking his head slightly in a respectful farewell before turning to follow his prodigy. "Ready for some training?" He asked the rainbow stallion as he caught up "I have a special idea in mind for you today"
