That was kind of along the lines of what I was thinking with the lessons... although those seem to be progressing kinda slowly, since they take a bit of work to prepare.
How about this: as well as having the lessons running, we invent a fake company to create things for. Then each week, (or fortnight maybe, since some people might be too busy) I or someone else can specify what the 'client' wants, and everyone who wants to can do it. Ideally you could then build up a complete branding for the fake company: logo, posters, website, stickers, banners etc. Then we can start the process again, with a different company with a different target demographic and different needs.
That would give a good range of things for anyones portfolio 3nodding And we can c&c each others work, and the GD students/graduates (who maybe wouldn't want to participate since they get paid to do this stuff already anyway) could offer tips?

Yeah, we'll try to see if we can get some more classes started... maybe we should set up a loose schedule, with 2 a month or something, and specify which we'd like to see get done. And it wouldn't be set in stone, it just might get everyone organized.

A few things we could start getting into gear:
- Guild website
- fake company practice thingy sweatdrop
- Guild shop?
I think we should start thinking about a guild shop soon... cos I can't keep supplying the contest prizes forever sweatdrop But I do want to keep running contests... so a little Gaian gold from a shop would be nice biggrin And would be good practice for if we attempt to sell things for real money.

I suggest: - No need for Announcements and Updates; we'll make announcement threads as we need them, and delete them as they become obsolete - No need for Random Chat Thread to be stickied; if people talk in it, it'll stay on the front page (its not like there is a huge amount of activity to push it down anyway), and if it does disappear... well, that means its not really needed anyway. - Don't really need Rules and Guidelines; its all on the front page. - The lessons are not progressing at all crying Its sad, but maybe we don't need that sticky... we could put past lessons (and any others that come up) in like a 'Guild Links' section in the Resources sticky? - So we cut down to: Intro, Donations, Resources, Suggestions, and Member Websites. I think 5 stickies is acceptable? Silver, if you don't have time to change them, PM me and I'll try do it. 3nodding There's nothing I can do about the voting sweatdrop So far theres only 15 votes, so I've decided to run the poll until the end of the month. Sorry it'll take so long to decide the winner but... I'd like to see more votes before announcing the winner. The new contest is now running (sorry its so late). Also... some of our mods seem to have disappeared... Edison? Kuraino Tenshi? Where did you guys go?

I have a suggestion, this is mainly for users with active websites ^^
How about organizing (I can do it if necessary) a Layout Marathon every 2 months? Basically we would vote and choose a theme and everyone that entered the Marathon would make a layout after the chosen theme. We can display them here and even give a prize to the best one. Ideally this is done once a month, but it can be done every 2 months since it gives us more time to get ready.
