Relief filled the mare when she heard that she did not hurt the stallion, her worry evaporated with those five words and her smile brightened as her neck was bared to the stallion. Anaon had forgotten about all the straps on her neck, but somehow the stallion found the spot between them and bit down. As she drank she remembered her experience when she bit into his neck, was he feeling the same? Was he riding upon wave of sensation that it made it feel as if time stood still? The feeling of Lucian’s teeth against her neck brought around a different feeling than the one she had when she was in his place. If she was not aware of the ground beneath her hooves, she would have lost herself in the strange sensations of felling the blood being removed from her body, for it was not painful, it was so surprisingly pleasant.
Time reanimated again when Lucian removed himself from her neck, his tongue was warm where he licked the indents his teeth made, she wondered if her blood would clot as fast as his seemed to. It was nice, standing here with him so close after the bond they just shared. Even though they had only met a few minutes before, she felt as if she has known him a lifetime. Ana did not want to speak and ruin the moment that the two soquili just shared; she leaned her head on the stallion.

Lucian couldn't help but feel the smile creeping across his lips. He felt her face nestling against him and he let out a low sigh as he rubbed his face delicately into her neck. He wasn't sure what to say or if he should say anything at all. It was so soothing, so peaceful.
He felt practically normal, or at least as normal as anyone like he could be.

Who was this stallion, this Lucian who understood her better than she knew herself it seemed? She did not have this connection with anyone outside her family or her best friend and even then it was not as strong. Questions kept on filling her mind, but the feeling of peace was keeping those inquiries from forming sound. Another question filled her head, when the moment ended and the two went on their ways, would they ever see each other again or was this a chance encounter? Anaon knew that soon she must leave on a quest to find a flower that will help her family and mostly the two mares in her life that she would go to the end of the world for, her mother and sister.
“Lucian,” she whispered his name, she wanted to ask him all the questions that filled her head, but she could not bring herself to form the words.

The way she spoke his name, made him shut his eyes for a moment. "Ana..." His voice was soft and sad. "Please...don't leave me yet." He knew that this was a chance meeting of two strangers--that maybe they might not ever meet again, but he really didn't want that. He wanted her to stay--until....well, until. Wasn't that a good enough answer?
He opened his eyes looking deeply into hers, begging her not to end this special connection they had found. He had never felt something so inspiring, so profound...so devastatingly beautiful and understanding in his life.

With her whole heart she did not want to leave this stranger who was so alike her, his voice saying her name sent a shiver to her very soul, “I won’t.” That was all she could promise, for right now she had all the time in the world and she would continue to spend it with this stallion, until reality caught up with her.
What she saw in his red eyes made her heart race, he was everything that she was and separate they were two pieces of a whole, but together, now that is something entirely different. If this was truly meant to be, then they will find each other again, even when they traveled great distances apart.

Lucian wasn't sure how long she'd stay, just that it would never be long enough. His eyes closed again as he pushed his forehead against her neck gently in a nuzzle. What would they do? Would they stay here? Should he take her home with him? Would she want to tell her family something? He didn't know how this worked or even...quite what this was.

If she did not have the obligation to her sister, to her family, to find that flower, would she stay by this stallion’s side? What was she thinking? He was a complete stranger, Anaon had not even known him for more than an hour and she was already thinking of staying with this stallion; perhaps it was his blood that was still on her mouth that made her trust him enough to wish that this day would not end. “What are we going to do Lucian?” She voiced the question that was prevalent on her mind, the one question she desperately wanted the answer to.

Lucian sighed as he nuzzled her gently, "We can go to your people...or mine. Or we can stay alone." He offered it lightly, hoping she'd accept. "For however long you're willing..." Maybe forever...But he couldn't think that, it was crazy. But hadn't he always been just a little crazy?

“I wish we could stay here, locked in time, but, there is something important that I must do. I promised myself that I would go through with it no matter what,” her words made her heartache, she really did not want to leave the stallion, she wanted to take him up on his offer to stay here, or to meet his family, but the flower kept pressing on Anaon’s mind, she wanted to get it soon before her sister did something she would regret with those flaming hooves, especially if it was to her mate.

Lucian felt a catch in his chest. "Will you come back? I will wait for you. I will come back here, just say...when. I'll find you if I need to." He couldnt' stop the desperation from entering his voice. She was leaving...leaving.

Anaon turned to look him in the eye, “Yes, I will, I’ll return to you, but I don’t know how long I will be in the desert,” she hated that she had to say goodbye to this stallion so soon after they met, but she will return to him, she just wasn’t sure when. The desperation in his voice made her heart ache, she nuzzled his neck, trying to give him some comfort.

Lucian felt her skin against his so softly. "I'll wait for you." His voice cracked gently, "Can we just have...this one day--and you can leave in the morning when the day is fresh?" He buried his face in her hair, trying to hide the sudden onset of pain and the voices that were just beginning to awake.
Her voice was like Karloff's, it banished the voices from him while she was present. He could since their prickly nature trying to push to the forefront.

A feeling of warmth filled the mare; Lucian would wait for her, but that elation soon died down when she heard the crack in his voice, she was hurting him and she did not know how to relieve that pain, well she did, but she was unable to abandon her quest. One night, she could promise him that, then in the morning she would need to confront Amelia and tell her what she planned to do, “Yes Lucian, but that is all the time I can give you, I wish it could be more.” Anaon leaned her head against him and took in a deep breath.

Lucian's chest felt less tight as he nuzzled her again. "That'll be enough until you're back. I will wait for you, I promise." He smiled at her gently, "Let's not think about leaving or going...not now. Let's enjoy the time we still have together." He wanted to learn more about her, know everything--they better to remember her by until he found her again.

Anaon closed her bright green eyes and nodded her head against his chest, she made the silent promise not to mention leaving or the rapidly moving time. “Lucian, I don’t know anything about you, besides that you smell incredible and you share the same taste in food as I do. Could you tell me about yourself? Please? I would love to learn more about you.”
