Unfortunately, or not, he didn't have a limo or some driver. He did that himself, something he was more than happy to do in fact. He'd wanted to drive from a young age, anticipating the time when he'd be old enough to do so. Now that he was he enjoyed it, though he didn't go looking for every excuse to drive; like a friend of his did.
When his own debit card was returned it was slipped into his wallet, and the wallet into a back pocket. "I normally don't pay for other people, but all things considered I do not mind doing so today." It wasn't like he had never upset people, that was a fairly normal occurrence, but her reaction to him was different. It also gave him the ability to have fun with the employee.
"Cherry or pomegranate syrup for the espresso?" He didn't like coffee, or tea (though he made teas), he loved espresso though and could almost live on the stuff. "If so than we'll go to Sweet Reprieve, my usual cafe of choice is The Cauldron." A cafe with antique mix'n'match furniture and an old, and eclectic, feel to the place. "You'll have to give me directions." Since he didn't know where the place was that she was talking about. Maybe he'd even indulge in some pastry, rarely did he get the urge for pastries but maybe if they looked good enough.

Eyes widening just barely at the mention that for this once he didn't mind paying for her, she immediately blushed and then shook it away mentally. This boy was more and more confusing, but then he'd say the most simple things.
Scrunching her nose at the mention of Cherry syrup, she shrugged. "They've got all of it, mostly we make our own syrups with fresh ingrediants, but there is brand name stuff as well." She'd heard of The Cauldron but all of her regular customers had told her it was such a dark place, she didn't think it would really be her kind of place. "It's not a hard place to get to actually, it's just a few blocks away." Smiling, and recognizing that her face was going to hurt later, she reached out and linked her arm around his.
"Shall we go then?"

Shopping bag in hand he listened to what she said about the syrups. "Naturally made, even better." Much better actually, artificially made ones weren't quite as good. The same, natural made ones, was what his usual cafe had. They made their own syrups as well.
her arm hooked with his and he turned to smile to her. "Yes, we shall. I'll lead the way to my car." An suv, but he called all vehicles, aside from buses, cars. It was just how he was. He didn't made a difference unless someone asked him to be specific, his mother knew enough to ask him right off the bat. "Tell me, any particular foods you like or are in the mood for?." He didn't mind catering to someones personal favorites or what they were craving, he knew how cravings went. He'd gone out of his way, refusing a meal, and went out to get what he was craving.

Genevieve did her best not to sigh like a star-crossed school girl and nodded in appreciation of his statement. Organic food and hand made food was always the best. Better for you as well. Not that one could tell by the teen girl's curves.
Following him out she didn't even think about what kind of car it was. A thing on four wheels was a thing on four wheels. So long as it wasn't powered by actual horses. Still as the got close and it became apparent which SUV was his she could appreciate the car even more. At least the short drive was going to be incredibly comfortable.
"I'm not craving anything in particular," she mused aloud. "How do you feel about comfort food?"

"Depends on what one considers a comfort food." He stated as he unlocked the car and opened up the back door so he could put his own purchase back there. "You should keep yours by your feet in front so it doesn't get mixed up with mine." Though with the shoes being the same did it matter really?
"Comfort food for me would be higher end for most people." He said, climbing into the drivers side, the passenger side unlocked but unopened waiting for his brunette passenger. "I like French food myself, pastas and salads." He added, deciding to let her know just what he liked to eat. "For me such things are comforting. What about you?" The suv's interior was a nice plush gray, not leather as that stuff cracked. A cd player and all the modern needs and wants filled the car as did a nice light smell of...lilac maybe.

"Ratatouie." The word left her mouth before her new friend could say anything about what he, himself, considered comfort food. It was the one thing her mother had always made her when she was sick or feeling down and it would always be equated with comfort and being home. Then again... "If there's even a place that offers that on the menu."
Placing her bags at her feet like instructed as she got into his car, she buckled herself in and then peered about to take in the interior of the car. It was nice. The kind of nice she always told herself was exactly what her cars would look like when she became rich. Smiling at the thought she clasped her hands in her lap and turned her head to look at Alex. "Why don't you surprise me and we'll see what happens, hmm?"

"Not a common food you hear people mention, not well known around here." He spoke, giving something of an approving smile to the female at his side. Shifting to look over his shoulder as he started pulling out of the parking space. "I believe I can find us a place though, if not I assure you that there will be adequate food."
There should be no doubt in her mind of the food to be found wherever they went, and said foods quality. He wasn't the sort to settle for bad food, or a lack of choices. "Sounds good, I will surprise you." He hoped, and assumed, it would be a good surprise of course.

Genevieve found herself glowing in the look of praise Alex sent her way, and could feel her back straightening just a little bit with pride in herself and the food she'd been raised on. "It's just a family recipe that I'm used to, so it will be nice to try someone else's take on it." Food. Get her talking about food and you will never get her to shut up.
As he pulled out she practically gleamed that he knew of just the place to go and reaching over she placed an appreciative pat on his shoulder and laughed. "My dear, you may have just made yourself a new best friend." Taking her hand back she placed her hands in her lap and looked out the windows at the city around them.
A girl could get spoiled like this.
