"I'll be sure to keep that in mind, but no matter what the meat is, we gotta do the stretches. Otherwise you're more likely to hurt yourself when we get to the more stressful things," Jericho explained.
As he did the stretches, he glanced down and to the side to see that Felix was wanting in on this as well.
"Joining us, little guy?" he chuckled. Well as long as the hazcat didn't hurt himself, there was no harm in it following along. Once the basic stretches were done, he had Riyo do a small number of jumping jacks to help get their blood and heart rate going. From there, he went on to some pushup and curls, trying to space things out nicely so that he wouldn't overwhelm her if possible.

It took a little effort not to laugh at the sight of Felix trying so hard to do the jumping jacks, considering the hazcat couldn't figure out that it's body didn't bend that way. Eventually he gave up and fell to the mat, resuming his mimics when the two moved onto pushups.
While it was getting a little warm, Riyo didn't seem to be too uncomfortable with her clothing choices... Yet. She had learned to cope with heat at an early age, though that was from the weather and this was from strenuous exercise...
Push ups were... Not easy on her. Before this, the feline had never done one in her life, and her noodle arms were viciously protesting the whole time. "... This is gonna be harder work than I thought." She panted, a little strained but far from broken. At least the curls didn't cause her body to scream at her stupidity for neglecting it all these years.
Obviously the pushups didn't bother Felix in the least. It was an easy maneuver for the hazcat. While Riyo moved onto curls, Felix hunted down the smallest weight and tried to lift it.

Every now and then, Jericho glanced down at the hazcat to see how he was doing. It was rather amusing, to say in the least. Though, when he saw the little guy go over to one of the weights, he raised an eyebrow and chuckled.
"Careful little guy. Don't hurt yourself," he said before turning towards Riyo. He let her have a short breather once the curls were done before he went on to have her do some lunge-squats. From there he did a few more stretches to help loosen her back up.
"Alright. That should be good for now. I think.. for today, I'll have you tackle the exercise bike. We could do a little bit of the weights afterwards as well if you're feeling up to it."

When Jericho told the nergal not to hurt himself, Felix became more determined. With a huff, the feline used his front paws to grab hold of the small weight and tried to bring himself up with his wings again..
And for a second it looked like he had it! ... Until he kept going and ended up flat on his back. He was alright. The only damage he took was to his pride.
By the time they'd gotten past the lunge squats, it was apparent that Riyo was worn out. It was surprising that the second set of stretches were almost a relief. "T-that's it?" She managed to ask through a few deep breaths. Really, she had no right to ask such a question. "Not gonna.. Make me sit under a waterfall or something ridiculous sounding like that?" Was she joking? It was always so hard to tell.
That appeared to be the only protest, however, as she hopped on the bike and started pedaling. The fact that she had to get back to her room after this didn't cross her mind... Or the fact that her legs might be like rubber after this.

Jericho raised an eyebrow at Riyo's comment. He couldn't tell if she was being serious with that or not.
"Well.. there aren't exactly any waterfalls nearby, besides, I can't put you through too much so early on," He said while watching her go at the bike, "Be sure to pace yourself. You'll be going at this for five minutes. Go too fast now and you'll be burnt out before you get halfway there."
Just so he wasn't standing there doing nothing, the dragon took the next bike to join in.

Five minutes? Psch. Five minutes was nothing. Riyo could handle five minutes.
Though, the feline kept a normal pace. She was already a little tired. "So... Have you always been really athletic?" She asked quietly, looking towards the other bike with mild interest.

"Yeah," nodded Jericho while glancing to the side at her, "I had to be in pretty good shape to be able to take flight and all. If my muscles weren't strong enough, I wouldn't be able to sustain myself in the air."
Flight made a pretty damn good motivator for staying in shape. To him, there were few things that could compare to being in the air like that.

Oh yeah. "Makes sense." Riyo nodded, her eyes glancing to the dragon's wings. "I bet that's pretty nice... Being able to soar through the clouds." Escape your problems... Get as far away from everything as you possibly could. That's what the feline would do if such power was in her grasp... "Ever wanted to fly as far as you could go just to see where you'd end up?"

Nodding lightly, Jericho smiled as he thought on it. Perhaps he'd go flying once they were done for the day here.
"It is pretty nice. But.. I can't say I've ever exactly wanted to do that. I do enjoy doing a fair share of exploration though," he replied while doing a quick time check. They had a couple more minutes to go here.

"That's what I'd do." Riyo admitted, the thought amusing her. "There have been days where I wish I could drop everything. My responsibilities, my plans, my identity... And start new somewhere without the help or influence of others."
It was as if, for just a moment, her own head was up in the clouds.
"But I'd never actually do it." The feline pointed out when she realized she'd been daydreaming.

Glancing over towards Riyo as she spoke, Jericho remembered the business card that she dropped him awhile back. There was also what she had said regarding practically being an accountant for all her life. She must have a considerable amount of responsibility on her shoulders, in which he could see why she might have such fancies.
"You wouldn't?" he asked.

Riyo's pedaling came to an abrupt stop when Jericho asked if she really wouldn't do it. There was a deep sadness in the feline's eyes as her ears folded back and she sat up straight.
"There are some things you can never fly away from no matter how far you go, Jericho.."
Taking in a deep breath, the cat demon let out a soft sigh. "I've had many burdens put upon me throughout my lifetime. Sometimes I feel like I can handle anything that comes at me, and other days I want to throw my claws up and quit... But what would that make me? To go through all this just to throw in a towel. It's pointless..."
Pausing, Riyo stretched out her arms to the ceiling. "I've never been happy with where I am, but I try to be proud of myself for putting up with it..."

That was an answer that Jericho hadn't expected, but it rang incredibly true. It had him wondering just what the hell she had gone through, but he wasn't really going to ask about it. There was a moment of silence or so as he took this all in, nodding as he continued to pedal on.
"Well there's that at least. No matter what happens, just gotta keep fighting," he said, "I don't know what happened but I can at least respect you for not giving in to life."
Nodding once again, he took in a breath and stopped pedaling.
"And five minutes is up. Go ahead and get some water and cool down."

Riyo had wondered silently to herself why she had even bothered telling him all of that, but the answer came when the dragon responded.
Jericho didn't ask questions. He just accepted what things she DID give him. It was a relief to know somebody without an overwhelming curiosity, who she could just... Talk to. Kinda like her cats.
"Alright." The sadness on her face seemed to melt back into neutrality, though it was satisfaction that she really felt.
Then she took a step off the bike.
"Holy-" Riyo's legs felt like gelatin under her. Immediately her tail caught her balance as she took a few awkward steps towards the drinking fountain.

Getting off of his bike as well, Jericho took a few moments to shake his legs and stretch out. For him, the things they did today were a little more of a light workout. That wasn't really a bad thing, though. He couldn't go all out every time he came here after all.
Following Riyo so that he could get a drink as well, he noticed that she was a little wobbly as she made her way to the fountain. Huh. Well, hopefully she'll recover pretty quickly. Though, he supposed this made for a decent gauge of the current state of her muscles.
"Careful there," he advised while sticking by should she end up stumbling.
"If you'd like, we could do a few weights, but otherwise, that should be it for today."
