Taka kept quiet whilst Masaruka 'talked' to Genno, though she was tough, that was just the way the Hoshigaki where. Taka had dealed with plenty of them over the years,a dn in fact they where the reason he'd learned Lightning Nature. Since they where all waster users he could use thier own jutsu to conduct his own. He also dared one of them to attack him with thier special sword, not only would he block it, he'd be able to use his special Kumo bladed Katana to give them one hell of a shock. Regardless as they reached their destination, Taka raised his voice to speak to them all at once. "Masaruka, you have the first watch. Genno, and Batsu, you can go ahead and train if you like, but stay close to the beach." Taka said as they stopped. "I'm going to collect some food for us to eat tonight, so stay in this general area, and change off watch duty every 30 minutes, you get me?" Taka was serious and firm as he said this, they would be disiplined during this mission, wether they liked it or not.

Masaraku scoffed and began to patrol the beach, keeping her eye on the new kid as he sat in the sand. Lazy fool was sitting there moping and feeling sorry for himself instead of training. At least Batsu was trying to help him though, maybe the kid needed to be babied in order to understand it, but a shinobi without confidence was a target waiting to be knocked down.
5+1=6 FAIL Masaraku figured she would set the example by running the length of the beach a few times, after all she was nowhere near perfection yet and knew damn well and good that her lack of speed and balance was her downfall. So she began to pick up the pace and run a bit, but she soon stumbled and had to catch her balance due to her forgetting that sand was slightly harder to run on that a material that actually gripped your feet and provided a bit of friction. She would have to be careful.
12+1=13 PASS Now that she had made a mental note of that Masaraku sprinted down the beach, her eyes watching the water to her right as she ran down the wet sand, leaving her footprints behind her to be washed away in the tide. Hopefully the kid would get the message and get a little motivated himself, but one could only hope.

[18+1=19 PASS] Masaraku turned and sprinted in the opposite direction, still watching the tides for signs of danger as she did so. Already she could feel the endorphins releasing from her body as she reveled in the exhilaration of the the running. As her heartbeat rose, so did her spirits, she was accomplishing something and it felt good to do.
[19+1=20 PASS] Masaraku stopped and turned around again, looking towards the new guy again, he didn't seem to be worth much as a man, much less a shinobi. Perhaps she should turn him into her next pet project. She shrugged and ran down the beach again, enjoying the evening sun as it set behind her. Once she finished running she would start up a fire.

Batsu turned and saw Masaraku just running back and forth at the beach. In his own opinion, she needed the training. The girl was slow as hell. To her credit, she was exponentially stronger than he was... thanks to her big a** sword. Meh... he didn't have to worry about that thing unless he was in a fight with her. That wasn't gonna be anytime soon though.
Batsu continued watching Masaraku run an picked up the fact that she was actually looking in his general direction. The boy gave her a confused shrug. He tried to be nice to this Gennosuke guy, but the other wasn't making any attempt to take the given opportunity. Batsu wasn't gonna beg to help HIM train. Heh... as he walked over to an open area of the beach he began thinking. "Hm... maybe Masaraku's right. This guy seems pretty weak and the fact the he blew of some help makes him look even weaker. This guy better get it together or else the weight of the team will be put on me and the Hoshigaki."
Well... whatever. At least it left him open to do his own training. The boy stood in a single spot, closed his eyes, and started concentration his energy and chakra towards his brain. The boy figured that now was a good time as any to start working on his genjutsu. There was just one problem... Batsu couldn't focus. He still had the thought of bearing another ninja's load... and it wasn't pleasant.

[Pass] Batsu opened his eyes up again. The su was still setting, the waves were crashing, Masaraku was running around... awkwardly, and Gennosuke was still doing nothing. The boy rubbed an eye before closing the both again. This time, he did his best to push out all thoughts from his mind. It worked pretty well. The boy was feeling extremely calm and had no worries. It was a good feeling, even if it was temporary.
[Fail] Batsu was in his own little world... free of worry. He continued maintaining a clear mind right up until he heard squawking coming from the east. The boy flinched and his concentration was shattered. Annoyed, the boy opened his eyes and saw a damn seagull flying and making unnecessary noise as it made its way through the sky. Batsu just stood where he was and sighed. He knew he couldn't proceed until the bird passed by... or its vocal cords just shut off. Either way, it was a nuisance.
[Fail] Batsu impatiently waited until the seagull passed by. Now he could get back to training. The boy closed his eyes and went back to focusing. He had the brilliant idea to sit down and train. He flopped down and he immediately felt a small p***k on his a**. Batsu immediately jumped up and rubbed his butt. Soon after, he looked down to where he sat and there it was... a damn stick poking out from the sand. He had no one to blame through... he should have been more careful. [-1 HP for comedic value]

[Pass] The pain subsided and Batsu felt the need to kick the stick right out of the sand towards the water. The thing landed in front of the water about a meter or so from where Masaraku was running. The boy wasn't about to make the same mistake again. Batsu looked back at the ground and after he saw that it was safe to rest, he did so. Shortly afterwards, Batsu resumed training. It seemed like his idea was working. Batsu was feeling more relaxed and he was able to sense chakra heading from his body to his brain. He could get used to this if it made him feel this calm.
[Pass] Batsu continued to let the flow continue. He had no distractions to stop him and he had nothing to think about. It was just him, the beach, and time. Masaraku was gone, Gennosuke vanished, Taka-sensei disappeared. No one was there to bother him... and if there was a distraction, Batsu would probably snap. He was to deep in his trance.
[Pass] The wind picked up a small bit and it caused his hair to flow in the direction of the breeze... eastward. A couple of strands started to blow in his face, but it didn't stop him from training. He hated hair in his face, but wanted to stay in his current state of mind for a while longer before doing something about getting the hair from in front of him. Good thing he kept a rubber band with him in his bag.

[Fail] The wind picked up even more and his hair started flying around a bit wilder. The boy hated the feeling and it caused him to snap out of his training. Batsu opened his eyes and looked down at his bag. The boy started fumbling through the contents and was shifting his tools around. Batsu shifted through his kunai, poison and bandages until he came to the black band at the bottom of the bag. He grabbed it, stretched it out, and trapped his hair into a ponytail. Now the wind wasn't gonna be too much of a concern to him.
[Pass] Now that his hair was not a factor any more, Batsu closed his eyes and went back to training. Batsu had to work again to focus his chakra back to his brain. But once he got back in the grove, everything else fell back into place.Batsu slipped back into his relaxed state and dared anyone or anything to deter his concentration.
[Fail] He dared something to distract him, and it came to fruition. Another seagull came screeching from the same direction as the first one. It caused Batsu to lose focus yet again and this time he was pissed. The boy quickly grabbed a seashell and hurl it at the bird. Itended up missing being as the damn thing was so high. But it was made known how deep the boy was in his in his training.

[Fail] By now Batsu was irritated by the stupid distractions that were hindering him from continuing with training. The boy became worked up and he was in no condition to start over. Batsu decided to watch his surroundings for a bit. Hopefully the atmosphere would calm him down a bit before he restarted training.Batsu looked down at the ground and started drawing random patterns and shape. It was definitely soothing although it contributed nothing towards conditioning his skills.
[Fail] Hell, even messing with the sand got boring after a while. With drawing becoming boring, he fixated his eyes on Masaraku's running. It actually amused him to see her go. She was bigger overall and her skimpy clothes made her boobs look like they were about to pop out soon. Hopefully Gennosuke and Taka-sensei wouldn't pay attention if that happened. Their nose would probably bleed profusely and Batsu had no clue how to stop that. Sure, he was a medic, but he didn't know everything... yet.
[Fail] The thought of the possible scenario made Batsu laugh. That would be a complete mess. Anyways, Batsu shook it out of his mind before he'd go too far into it. The thought of Masaraku showing anymore than what was repulsive... and she was showing too much already. Batsu looked back down at the sand and sighed. He wanted to go back to training so bad!
[Fail] Until Batsu cleared a reasonable amount of his mind to continue on, he was going nowhere... and fast. Batsu decided to stare at the sand some more until he could clear his thoughts. One thing about it all was that he wouldn't be doing this if that damn bird didn't come and ******** up his concentration. Batsu thought the beach would be more relaxing, but it proved to be more problematic as opposed to anything else.
[Fail] If Batsu was to ever finish training, he would end up relieving Masaraku of her post. It wasn't gonna be too much of a help since the threat level was minimal andd there were no signs of life outside the four ninjas at the beach and the creatures of the sea... oh yeah. He couldn't forget about the stupid seagulls that kept coming around and ******** up his mental work.

[fail] Batsu kept staring down at the sand. The boy was feeling a lot better as opposed to being over-stimulated. He wasn't at 100% yet, but he felt like it was still acceptable enough to go again. He decided to give it another go. The boy closed his eyes and started pushing stuff out of his mind. The boy was successful for a while up until he felt a tingling sensation in his nose. It progressively got worse and worse until he sneezed. Needless to say, his concentration was shot.
[Pass] The boy sniffled and wiped his nose before going back to focusing.. The boy got back into position and slid his hands into his lap. His mind was becoming renewed and he could feel chakra continually pulsating in his mind and body. Everything was falling back into place. Now he just needed to develop a method for blocking out distractions should they come again.
[Pass] Batsu kept going in his own little world and tried his best to shut his senses down. However, it was definitely harder than it sounded. Batsu could still hear the waves crashing against the sand. It didn't bother him though, at least it wasn't a bird call or, even wworse, Masaraku bitching unnecessarily. He wasn't afraid of her, nor did he hate her. It was just the fact that her voice can be a bit much... especially with her condescending tone.
[Fail] Batsu kept his eyes closed and let out a small yawn. The boy wasn't fatigued in the slightest. It was more so the fact that he was getting bored. Batsu hated repeating himself and this type of training was nothing but that. The boy wanted to quit now, but knew sticking the training out would be very beneficial in the long run.
[Pass] Batsu let out a groan of frustration before calming himself down and shutting himself down. Batsu continued to listen to the going-ons around him. The water was starting to sound really good to him. Batsu hadn't been swimming in a while and it sounded like a good idea to take a dip. There weren't many poisonous fish around in this area, so the only thing he had to worry about while underwater was drowning.

[Pass] Batsu kept fantasizing about swimming in the ocean. He knew he needed to focus, but it was hard to when the training became monotonous. He was sure that his team mate was feeling the same way running back and forth. Batsu felt his hands go from being in his lap to his arms being folded across his chest. This whole thing was a bit too much for him.
[Fail] Batsu was going about his focus haphazardly and sure enough, the boy lost focus. It wasn't like he minded thought. The boy wanted to quit anyways. He knew how to get back into the swing of concentrating... it was just the fact that his drive hit a sharp decline from where he first started. Just for the hell of it, he decided to give it one more shot then go and get in the water.

[Pass] Batsu did as promised and gave the damn thing one more go.. It must've been a sign. The noises ended up being completely blocked out. There were no sounds entering into his brain. The ironic thing was that he wasn't really trying. It just "happened". Well, now that it did, Batsu made a mental note of what he was doing. There may be another time that he'd repeat the training or do something similar to it.

He would simply practice running with Masaraku. Maybe that wouldn't make things a little easier. He got up and took off towards where Masaraku was running. He decided if you can't beat them he'd join them however he forgot that sand was loose and so running on it wasn't going to be a walk in the park. He slipped and fell flat on his face getting sand in his mouth, nose, and hair. He got up with a blank stare on his face hoping neither Masaraku or Batsu saw his epic fail.
Sprinting on the beach with Masaraku DC: 12 vs. 1 + o = 1 Fail o/1o
Gennosuke got up out the sand and dusted the particles out his hair and face. He spit a few times to get the gritty feeling out his mouth but he could still feel the excess around his gums and teeth. After getting himself back together he took off again this time being a little more careful and cautious. He ran a full speed towards where the girl was this time with very little slip ups. He could feel the the sand getting into his sandals and in between his feet as he high tailed it down the beach. Once he was a few feet away from Masaraku he slid stopping in front of her, possibly cutting her off but not so much to where they would collide. "I have decided to train with you," he said with a smirk.
Sprinting on the beach with Masaraku DC: 12 vs. 16 + o = 16 Success o1/1o
He didn't wait for her to say yay or nay on the subject. Instead he took off running the same stretch of the beach she was on. He had to catch up. Maybe if they train together they would become friends and maybe she was just the push he needed to get his head on straight. He sprinted full speed across the sand following the imprints she left in her wake. He stopped only when they disappeared before coming to a complete stop and turning around to head back the other way. He didn't slip nor fall once on the sand although it was a few times that his feet went a little deeper than he needed them to.

He passed Masaraku again this time as he did he didn't stop. He continued down the beach sprinting as fast as he could without falling or stumbling. After Masaraku's foot prints disappeared he stopped and turned around for his third lap.

Just as he was getting ready to take off he lost his footing and slipped falling down. He was breathing hard and he knew he wasn't going to finish if he kept working to hard and not taking a break but he was determined to catch up. He took a couple deep breaths before attempting to get back up. After a few seconds he got back up and stumbled again. This time he fell to his knees breathing hard. "I... have... to... rest...," he said inbetween breaths.

Gennosuke attempted for a third time to get up and run. He didn't make it up all the way before falling back in the sand. He sat there breathing trying to catch his breath. He sighed lightly feeling like he overexerted himself trying to prove his point. He needed to slow down and get a steady pace. He got up and although he was fully erect this time he simply fell back on his butt. He used his hands to keep him propped up as he continued taking in deep breaths. "Hey, Masaraku, what lap are you on?" he semi yelled curious as to how far ahead she was.

[19+1=20 PASS] Masaraku watched as the new guy started to run with her. He seemed to be having a bit of trouble with the running part of running on the beach. She would have commented, but she feared that her verbal abuse may discourage the soft skin of the fleshy boy and decided to mind her own business as she continued to keep watch on the horizon.
[1 = AUTOFAIL] Suddenly she heard the new guy eat face in front of her and looked forward as quickly as she could to avoid him. Masaraku jumped over the kid's body, but her landing put her sliding into the sand beyond him. She shook her head to brush the sand off and wiped her hands on her clothes to get the sand off of them as well.
[2+1=3 FAIL] She started to run again, but she realized that the sand had also gotten in her gills. Breathing sand was not how Masaraku wanted to go about this training, so she instead headed for the water. "New guy. Gennosuckface. Watch for ships for two seconds while I was off." She went to the water and submerged herself for a second before heading back towards the beach. When she got there she looked at him Gennosuke and said, "Take off your sandals, the natural curvature of your feet will give you better traction if you do." She started off in the opposite direction.
