Despite some of his actions, Batujiwe generally means well. He finds it hard to express what he's truly feeling to those he cares about, while sometimes being unnecessarily blunt towards strangers and simple acquaintances. He often uses sarcasm to cover up his insecurities about himself and boasts about his stone fur to cover up the shame he harbors because of it. And while he has come to be a motivated worker most of the time, his natural laziness tends to rear its ugly head at inopportune moments.
Since his ordeal concerning the origin of his stone fur, Batujiwe has been on the ever classic quest to 'find himself.' With the blessings of his family and guardian god, he left the secluded woodland tribe, always remembering the teachings of hard work. Well, most of the time. He still enjoys napping and sunbathing. Not to mention the fact that there hasn't been too much hard work to be done. A long time of wandering found him continually alone and rather lost. That is, until he stumbled upon the Realm territory. Having finally come across other Kitsusagi, he can't help but feel like the outsider. After all, he had no idea other Kitsusagi existed outside of his little tribe!

Very much her father's daughter, Shizue not only inherited his short temper, but took it to an entirely new level with an extreme edge of reckless hotheadedness. Quick to start fights, and just as quick to believe she'll be the one to finish them, she often doesn't plan before she acts. Everything centers, in the end, around her strength and skill, as well as her ability to pound other kitsusagi into the ground. From a young age, she was trained by her father in the art of combat, and ever since she's taken up her own regimen in nearly every free moment away from him, too. There's no doubt, Shizue's quest for power is an obsession that ultimately controls her life, and can be quite a negative influence. It takes a lot of effort and constant prodding to get her to focus on anything else or give things such as idle chatter the time of day. She seeks strong opponents and strong opponents only, all so one day she can use everything she's learned to finally dominate her father in real fight.

From first appearances, Goth Metal Drake is not as frightening as his fellow Nightmaren, if only because he spends most of his time sleeping or lazing around. He dislikes moving and dislikes work even more. However, that doesn't mean he's incapable. With his bulk to throw around, he can do quite a bit of damage when provoked. It's not too difficult to make him angry, either. Drake is perpetually grumpy and and has quite a few buttons to be pushed and if he doesn't have his way he'll retaliate with violence. Being with Dark Matter has taught him to have a bit of a snarky tongue to fight back with, as well, but he doesn't claim to be intelligent and certainly isn't interested in talking through his problems.
If there is one thing he's defensive of besides himself, it would be a certain winged Kitsu who just wouldn't go away. Though he won't admit it outright, he has a fondness for her. Whether or not she insists on continuing to call him a 'play thing,' he considers her his. His patience stretches further for her in most occasions, but he has still been known to lose his temper with her at times, as well. He is fairly slow to adapt. He also seems to have a strange affinity for water.
