Shin Kaneko was attending a party. An unchaperoned party, at a strangers house, that had no end time. His father expressively disapproved of such gatherings. When Shin had heard about the party he had not even bothered asking if he could go. He knew the answer would be a no. So, he had gone up to his room to study for a test he expected on monday. His plans for study were abandoned when he realized Jack was not in the house. It was not a far stretch to imagine he had come out to the party. So Shin had pocketed his cell phone and crawled out the window of his bedroom to sneak off on his bicycle. The directions to the house were clear enough in his mind, and the bike ride was not too long. Shin's passive face did not flicker beyond the determined expression as he cycled up to the house. He could see lights on, and hear the murmur of voices. Clearly the party had not gotten off to a big start yet. Shin stepped off his bike and dutifully kicked the kickstand down. Shin stood a moment outside and took a moment to look the house over. All he needed was one, maybe two, good pictures of Jack doing something foolish. Then he could go home...

Happy to have Eolande to focus on instead of how steadily more crowded his house was becoming, Marlon meandered his way over to his friend, dodging coffee tables and rugs and all manner of jutted-out corners as though he were navigating an obstacle course. "A place to change? Sure." He turned his head and pointed at the hallway just visible past the 'sea' of people. "Just down the hall is a bathroom; if you hurry I bet you can get there before someone else gets there first." He cleared his throat and looked embarrassed. "We have a perfectly good pool house outside, but Herick locked it up. He said he didn't want any 'horny teenagers'.....well, using it for reasons other than.......well, you get the idea." Already he felt himself turning red and stammering a little; he didn't know if it was worse thinking about any of his friend using his pool house in such a way, or such things happening in the same place where his mother would cool down on hot days when just spritzing with mineral water wouldn't do.
"Fabulous party!" JK called out as he made an entrance in the best way he knew how; climbing the fence. He had heard of this party and it didn't really concern him if he was invited or not. The main thing was that you made yourself the life of the party; that way nobody would remember whether you were invited or not. He looked up with envy at the tall, 2 story house, and down at the gleaming salt water pool; just his thing! Grinning from ear to ear, he steadied himself momentarily on the fence before springing his legs out as hard as he could, making the jump from the fence to the deck, but stumbling as he landed and practically cartwheeling into the pool with a loud SPLASH! He spluttered as he resurfaced, wiping the stinging saltwater from his eyes. "I'm okay!"

Nox scoffed at the introduction before grinning, "Haven't changed at all Mark, for that I'm glad." He said, "Go, go watch your friends back, I'm going to go introduce myself and see what the fuss is about this pool I've heard a little about." He made a shooing motion with his free hand, "I'll catch you out by the pool kay?" With that he walked by his friend, hip bumping her on purpose, "And I'm not a skinny pipe cleaner! I've gained some muscle mass these past couple of years!" He tossed his head and refused to let the pout he knew was on his lips fully form.
He'd be masculine someday, genetics be damned.
It was easy spotting the host of the party as he was currently talking to the girl Mark pointed out as Eoland. "Hi I'm Nox, you must be Marlon right?" He asked, waving at other teen, "I'm Nox, I just transferred to your school a couple days ago and heard about this party. The only person I really know here is Mark so...it's cool that I'm here right?" He asked, suddenly feeling out of depths. He wasn't a social person normally, parties were forbidden territory and all, but...he was tired of being alone.

Jeremiah Flynn was late to the party, as always. He didn't care though, it was cool to be late, just not like, two hours late, or the hour in his case. He would have actually been there sooner, but he got held up by his mom, who had wanted to know every detail of where he was going. Good thing he had a few excuses in store. But that didn't matter, all that mattered now was that he was there! Ready to dance, drink and maybe pick someone up for the night.
He made his way through the crowds, maybe seeing one or two girls that caught his eye, and kept them in mind to talk to later, when he bumped into another boy. The kid looked interesting, and the blue hair made him look cute, though what really got Jeremiah was that he may have finally found someone shorter than he was. "Sorry man, didn't really see you there." Play it cool he told himself, and maybe you'll get to try something new.

Eolande hesitated when Mark grasped her by the shirt. She forced herself to lift her gaze so she could try to meet Nox's eyes. The conversation just exchanged between the two made Eolande feel so very self conscious! Was there maybe more between Mark and Nox? Maybe one of those 'possible' hook ups that would have happened if...if what? Something had been said or done at the right moment? Eolande's romance streaked imagination could see the two of them already. Sitting next together. A awkward pause of silence..then parting. The two of them holding that moment in their memories as a 'If only I had done-'
Eolande batted her eyes to rid herself of her racing minds thoughts. "It's nice to meet you Nox." She said after Mark introduced them. Used to be tight? Eolande wanted to ask why that had changed...but what if it was something painful or embarrassing? What if they kissed and it had been bad? So they had shied away from each others company to avoid hurting the others feelings? Eolande swallowed a tight lump in her throat and managed to smile faintly at least for Nox. She leaned a bit towards Mark and murmured faintly as an afterthought. "I wasn't kidnapped. I was bribed." She turned then to Marlon, and found the tense feeling in her shoulders relaxing some.
"Down the hall..right..." She nudged at mark and pointed the way Marlon had directed her. "We better hurry or there could be a line Mark." She urged the other. She didn't want to be rude t Marks friend but...she just felt this odd sort of anxious jealousy gnawing at her lower stomach and she needed to get Mark alone. If only to ask some self assuring questions. Questions that would hopefully make the knot inher tummy go away rather then make it worse! She nodded a little to Nox in her desire to hurry Mark along. "Thank you Nox." She thankfully spoke when he would find his own excuse to leave them, then waved at Marlon. "I think I know what you mean Marlon. It's fine. It's just a good thing he didn't lock up the house too." Eolande shifted her position so she could head to the bathroom. It did not occur to her right away that what she had suggested now to Mark was the two of them changing together.

Jackpot! Shin could hear Jack's annoying voice from where he stood. He felt a pending sense of satisfaction about to come his way. Once he got the picture of Jack he could... Shin's thought process was knocked off topic when someone actually bumped into him. Something he was generally used to, being as short as he was and all. Though Shin often expected it to be more on purpose then accident. He turned to the boy who was apologizing to him and he blinked at him with a mildly uncertain look. "Oh..that is...forgivable." He stammered at Jeremiah before attempting to peer through the crowd of kids. Was he supposed to say something more? Introduce himself? He had not come to attend the party though...but would it be rude otherwise?
